The hassling had already started to ensue after the man had spoken to the crowd. It was obvious of the trouble that would arise as the eyes continued to glare at him, standing there, worrying about the betterment of mankind, as he didn’t happen to put it. Sure enough, one of the students was left lying on the ground, cause by the male behind them. Aden eyed him with a curious look before turning back to the man.
“Riight…”
A voice rang out from the crowd commenting that the man, apparently Dante, should sit back down. He was correct. While the idea of a brawl breaking out was all exciting and good, there was still the Principle to listen to. Aden hardly believed the speech was over, with so little said and, sure enough, he broke in on the crowd to speak once more. Aden shifted back, leaving his quall with Dante for possibly a later date.
The school captain and pillars was the next topic on the Principles agenda. Of course it was the perfect opportunity for someone to gain power. A new school with a new student body; the idea of someone becoming school captain would most likely cause their blood to boil. It was clear that the staff encouraged force and violence, but with this, it would deliberately start. Adding fuel to the fire, as it was, and Aden loved it.
It seemed likely for most of the student body that planned to rise in the school to be after the position, so it only seemed natural for Aden to want to as well. It was a great opportunity. Why couldn’t Aden try it for himself, rather than proceeding with just the classes, as he did at Hircine. It was a clean slate and Aden wanted his name engraved in it. Even if Captain proved unattainable, there was always the chance of pillar. He just needed to show who he was and prove his capability.
With the final lines of the speech given, the assembly began to move. People began to leave and Aden found himself rising from his seat, as well, nodding at Dante with a cheeky grin, as to say ‘see you soon.’ Unless anything were to happen, he would most likely find himself leaving with the rest of the crowd, waiting for an opportunity to move up the figurative ladder of the school.

She'd been minding her own business when someone suddenly sat next to her. While being stuck between two people she didn't know already made her shiver, at least this one didn't smell like a dumpster and therefore it wasn't as bad as it could be. She'd just ignore him as she did to everyone, and usually, she'd be left alone.
But that was just usually. She wasn't exactly used to being spoken to and it was apparent by the way she hadn't made any indication that she was going to answer him. Mae-Lim noticed that no answer came to the boy from anyone else either, and a weird "I'm being looked at" feeling came over her. She simply looked at the boy in the corner of her eye, suddenly understanding that he was speaking to her. 'What the hell does he want from me?' she thought, crossing her arms and shifting in her seat in a way that would allow her to face him.
"It's everything BUT interesting" she replied bluntly. "This school is already pissing me off, if you must know. We'll all grow up, possibly graduate, and with this lack of dicipline, probably all end up in jail. My that sounds fun."
The sarcasm wasn't hard to pick up on that last bit, even with her rather monotonous tone. But regardless of how unimpressed she was, and how she'd already expressed a negative view on this school...Mae-Lim still was rather neutral about here. Of course, with her headache, her lack of wanting to be here and the fact she was annoyed, the negative leaked out and the positive views she had of Paragon were left unsaid. It didn't matter though, she didn't owe this guy her full opinion. She'd just decided to blurt part of it out.
She slowly turned back to face the front, her eyes locking on Dante. There was something awefully annoying about him, however, Mae-Lim's interest had been poked. She wasn't too sure what it was. Maybe she was just another person intent on shutting him up...or maybe it was something different. At any rate, she would of given it more thought, but some psycho (Tai Yang) began making more noise. Mae-Lim's attention quickly turned to him, observing him and listening to his every word. 'Good Lord...' she thought. There were sooo many strange thoughts coming to her just with his choice of words. If she would of thought much longer, it would of been accompanied with cringe-worthy mental images. So she stopped.
As the student was done with the ass-whooping, Mae-Lim assumed that he was looking for some kind of praise from the Principal. "Principal Davis already has an ass-kisser." she muttered to herself. Of course, these were her views and interpretations. She could of been wrong about Tai Yang's motives behind his display.
The Principal finished off what he had to say then. She could already tell many would be wanting the Captainship. She had very little interest in. She supposed that depending on who the captain would be in the end could change her mind. Not about wanting Captainship, but more...actually caring about it. As far as why? That was her little secret. It wasn't a big one, but it was still something she was brainstorming and intended to keep to herself. Afterall, there was no more Revelation. Not that she was aware of to this point at least, which meant she would have to do her own thing. Whatever gave her a purpose.
She popped an advil into her mouth and gulped it down, hoping the medicine would relieve her of her headache. It was declared free time for the rest of the day, she figured if the boy next to her wasn't going to try and chat her up some more, she'd go explore the school a bit. For now, she sat still in her chair and waited to see if people would start leaving all at the same time. If so, she really didn't want to get caught in all those people so she'd wait it out.
'Actually, I lied to that guy. This place is sort of interesting afterall.'

“What’s This Bullshit!”?
Tai Yang was anything but pleased, made note by the scowl on his face and his right boot stomping into the back of the already unconscious student. Pushing off his left foot he stepped over the boy as he made his way toward the stage. Obviously infuriated, but over what issue? Well, for one the principles choose to group him in with the masses, something Tai Yang constantly fought against. Then, Davis chooses to ignore his question completely as his speech didn’t answer a damn thing.
“Fine, ignore me. Lets see how long your career as principle lasts with me around.”
Turning away from the ‘main man’ Tai Yang looked over all the teachers, looking for one he truly wanted to beat the shit out of. He was having a hard time recognizing their faces, but one did appear from the masses, his grade 4 teacher: Mr. Bryant. Pushing his sunglasses back up Tai Yang stared square down at his old teacher, making no attempt to move or leave with the masses. As one student passed him they decided to ignorantly bump him. Well, this wasn’t followed up with protest; the senior was simply grabbed by the back of his hair and thrown down onto the ground in front of Tai Yang. A moment later the Chinese-African-American had his right leg held straight up, his boot held firmly above his head as he stared at his fourth grade teacher. In the next moment the heel of his boot was planted firmly into the chest of the senior student.
Smirking his confident, over joy’d smiled Tai Yang took a few steps back before moving back up the isle. He wasn’t interested in leaving with the rest of the masses; he could care less about their ideas and concerns. Instead he made his way to where he was previously seated, and where the freshmen remained unconscious. Pushing the boys foot aside he brought his backpack up onto the seat two over from the frightened girl. Ignoring her shivering fright he instead reached into his pack and removed a can of green spray paint. Stepping up onto one of the empty chairs he began to jump from chair to chair, moving back three rows before he was clear of the furniture and right in front of the back wall. Then, taking his time he wrote in fairly large block letters three simple words.
”LONG TAI YANG”
Smirking softly he stood back, admiring his work before chucking the can at another’s head, not contempt with finding out whether or not he proved successful. Turning he started to make his way toward the doors leading to his freedom, not bothering to return for his back. Should anyone choose to actually look inside it they’d just find a few different ‘Adult’ magazines along with some markers and a half eaten Coffee Crisp.

A slight smile came to Damien's lips. Nothing overboard, just a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. He turned back to face the front after the girl spoke, pulling yet another cig out of his pocket. He whipped out his lighter, puffing on the cancer stick as the fire lit the end. He let out a little puff, listening to the Principal as he did so. The man was either a genius, or completely insane. Did he WANT a riot on his hands? It looked to him like thats about all he wanted, and what he'd get. A twenty-four hour riot. Maybe this school captain-ship wasn't as important as he thought...whoever it was would end up being nothing more than a pawn, just a hand for this principal to use.
He leaned over to the ear of the girl next to him, the one he had spoken to before, and spoke just after the principal finished his speech and people began talking. It would be a minute or two before people decided to exit, instead discussing amoung themselves this new information.
"Piece of advice, if you would allow me miss Mae. Unless you want to fight for your life for the rest of your days here after these boys find out who you are, i would suggest you meet me up top the school in exactly one half hour. We can talk there." He didnt mean it as a threat, more as an invitation to spare her from the men who were sure to attack her in an atempt to gain admiration and dominance. Damien didnt insinuate in the least that he would be having men attack her, merely stating that he may have a way to help stop the fighting completly. He took another long drag off his smoke, and if she began to talk, he would cut her off, if she didn't he would continue. "I'm not assuming your weak in the least miss Mae, for i know whom you belonged to at Hircine. But there is no Revelation here. Your on your own. Come to the roof in half an hour or don't. Your choice. Whether you take the opportunity or not doesn't really matter to me. Figured id try."
And, as the students all stood up to lrave Damien stood and walked out the double doors before anyone else had even headed toward the doors, not bothering to wait for a reply. It would be intriguing to see how the girl handled the information; whether she thought him some ego-filled jackass, or as a regular student who thought himself important, Damien didn't really care. What he planned to do and what the other students planned to do were totally different in virtually every way. Most people would also think he was like them, violent, abusive, and only a hunger for power. Sure, Damien could be cold, calculating, and seem self righteous, but he isn't always that way. He just came off like that to judge, to see how people handle things, to grant a judge of character. How Mae herself handled it would tell him something about her.
He finished his smoke as he walked, taking a left at the first hallway, and hitting an exit that led to the roof. Whether Mae came or not, Damien wanted some fresh air, and he planned to stay at the roof while the violence escalated below, Watching over the school he would hopefully have the power to protect some day. With time and energy came power, and he had plenty of both.
"Well now, lets see how well this goes over"

Ryomei/Kerry would casual exhale a noticeable sigh as the students already seemed to begin getting out of hand, the upwards display of violence and lack of care already by far warranting an ass kicking, yet at the same time as she enjoyed the provocative prospects of justification, there arrogance and behaviour really did begin to piss her off - ignorant of what the principle of the school may be feeling about it.
It was all wearing at her patience as she would rub her temples soothingly, looking downwards she would hear various comments, remarks from the students around her each one ticking her off that little bit more. The unnecessary violence from a few of the students causing her to sigh yet again and the ignorant departure or unorthodox departure without dismissal by portions of the students as well as the manner that they did it in. Taking a few deep breaths though Kerry would remain calm, the pretentious urges to put down those being overly disruptive in the room were overwhelming, but suppress-able.
'This keeps up the formalities, well, if you can call em that, look like there going to be over soon' she thought to herself as she simply sat, waited and observed.

Damn… That surely outdid my test.
Magnus watched the boy smashed several students. He was on front row for the carnage. Magnus just studied the boy. He was fast. The boots had metal tips. The most interesting fact: The boy was a maelstrom of chaos. Still, the principal ignored the boy and that was all proof that Magnus needed. The Principal didn't give a damn about the students.
Not that I thought he would care, but still ... What the hell is this system made for, random destruction? It makes less and less sense.
Although Magnus couldn't make any sense out of it, he didn't really care. He just wanted to elevate himself to a position far above the others. The principal ended his speech and students started to move for the exit. The trashing boy started getting angry and trashed past Magnus. He would pick a fight with him later, it wasn't the right time, and besides, he had more pressing matters to attend to, for an example, the red haired girl some rows behind him. He got up, moved with the crowd, while out of his peripheral sight he got a closer look at her. He broke out of the crowd and sat down next to Kerry.
"So, what did you think of that speech?"
There he was, a complete stranger asking a girl he had never met before about he opinion. That was just the way Magnus behaved at times.

Post by Seth Calloway on May 6, 2008 4:07:07 GMT 1
Despite all the cheering students inside the auditorium, there was one student who remained outside the room. Seth Calloway leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed in front of him as he looked through the open door, the everpresent cigarette burning between his lips. Those very lips, however, were not pulled upwards in a smile or smirk, but instead, tugging downwards in a frown as Seth listened to the words the principal spoke.
So he's essentially pulled the staff out of the game... there would be no point in confronting or allying with them, as they have little bearing on how this school is going to function... Hm.
In all truth, Seth was less than thrilled with how Paragon was being run, despite how closely it seemed to follow Revelation's ideals. However, while Seth had indeed preached freedom from the rules of the previous system, this institute took things to a whole other level. There was no fun to be had in this school, just a constant clawing battle to the top, to survive against its psychotic denizens.
A fight that Seth wanted no part of.
There has to be a way out of this...
His eyes roamed across the crowd, noting just how twisted many of them were. Some of them made the Horseman of War look fairly docile, something that displeased Seth greatly. Revelation had no place here, which only furthered Seth's desire to remove himself from this school.
Wait... that's Mae-Lim.
For a moment, Seth ground his teeth together, finding himself for once at a loss as for how he should continue. Not only did he have to find a way out, but he needed a way to bring Mae-Lim along as well. She was certainly able to take care of herself, but this was the type of school that was dangerous to anyone. With a small sigh of annoyance, Seth moved away from the doorframe, standing off to the side of the door as the students began to stand and file out of the auditorium. There, he would be harder to see as he contemplated what sorts of actions he would need to take in Paragon.
