((OOC: In real life, i have never run track, so i'm sorry for any detail mistakes i make.))
Zeke sat down on the bench, exhausted from running.
Even though he had a broken arm, Zeke decided it wasn't a problem when it came to running track, so he decided not to miss track team. As he was sitting, he thought about everything that went on in the past week.
Dante coming back.
His fight with Traytaine.
Getting a broken arm and two broken ribs from various encounters with Dante.
And the horrid truth that the Watchers actually existed, and weren't just a stupid rumor to scare students, like he had previously thought.
At the moment, because staying at school at night was dangerous with dante around, Zeke was staying at Sara's house until his arm healed. So far no sign of dante, though. as far as Zeke knew he could be skipping school.
He was almost done catching his breath. time to get back to the track.

Traytaine sat on the bottom bleacher, looking out over the track runners without interest. Or without polite attitude. He was glaring at them. The bastards, running around with high endurance, like it would protect them. "Why the 'ell am I here, love?" Traytaine grumbled lowly without looking over his shoulder. Although he rolled it to get the arm draped on his shoulder to draw attention.
Shanon just tightened her arm around his neck and shifted her cheek, which rested on his opposing shoulder, before she answered in return. "Because your going to apologize to Jes. You really scared her." A loud, clearly annoyed, huff followed. "Golden rule love. Ain't my fault." She flicked the side of his chin with her forefinger. "It's still a nice thing to do. And you don't have to be here longer. She has to practice the long jump today." She received no answer. At least not at the moment.

Zeke was about to go back to the track when he noticed a young girl, the same one, unless he was mistaken, who Tray had attacked. She was headed toward the bleachers, where two other people were sitting, neither of which he could see clearly. He decided to talk to the girl.
He Walked past the track, up to the girl, by now, they were both about 10 feet from the bleachers.
"hey, i never got a chance talk to you after that thing last week when you were attacked." said Zeke, unsure exactly what to say to somebody he had only met when somebody was attacking her, and had never spoken. "Were you hurt?"
Zeke knew full well that this entire conversation was awkward, but he needed to talk to her, and he needed to know more about the her attacker, whether or not he was a bad guy in general, and who this mysterious person was.

Jen turned her head casually to look over to the boy, who oddly enough had white hair, and decided quite quickly that he was just another fool. Probably. Appearances are half an opinion, but there was more to it than that. Probably not. She titled her head back a little as she released a sigh. "I'm not hurt. So why are you talking to me, you want a door prize? For every one hundred girls saved you get a discount on your next purchase?" She didn't stop walking, before or after her apprasial, she was headed toward Sharon.
Traytaine heard Jen talk, although only because Sharon had brought it to his attention. He boredly looked to the right and stared at the girl. "So, wha? I'm 'sposed to beat some random balloon for her? How about whitey?" Another flick with Sharon's forefinger. "I don't know what a balloon is but I'm sure it's not nice," she said in a light reprimand. "Just apologize." Traytaine growled lightly and raised his right hand, flicking his index and middle finger in a small wave in front of his chest. "'Ey, Jen, who's the balloon?"

Either this girl was extremely ungrateful, or Zeke had made a HUGE mistake.
However, now it came to his attention that Lord Scottish McPsychoGerman himself was one of the two people on the bleachers, and was for some reason apparently talking about balloons.
AWKWARD...
Zeke looked at the man again, and realized that he might not be completely evil. Certainly not the most FRIENDLY person, but not necessarily evil. The girl, at this point, had walked ahead of him, towards her previous attacker. They seemed to know eachother.
With every passing second, Zeke became more and more convinced that the entire incident last week was a colossal misunderstanding.
"Ey, Jen, who's the balloon?"
The man was talking to the girl, so he could only assume her name was Jen.
but he was POINTING at Zeke.
He didn't even recognize Zeke, even when they had fought. Something weird was going on here.

"Balloon?" Jen looked over her shoulder, blinked, and then looked back. "You need to stop talking like that, you confuse people." Traytaine rolled his shoulder, another flick ignored, and pointed at the white haired boy again. "Eejit, Mr. Whitey. What have you." Sharon groaned and moved off Traytaine's shoulders at his last statement. "I implied you were supposed to be nice." she said as she slid down to give Jen a quick hug. "Don't care much what ye implied." No reaction.
With a shrug of his shoulders he got off the bleachers and walked up to the white haired boy. His poncho wasn't beige this time around, it was his fading green one. Which matched his army fatigues just as well. "So, Jen don't know you, why ye buggin' her?" Jen and Sharon began to talk about god-knows-what, and Traytaine was standing above the boy. "Sure ye got some good 'cuse. Lets hear it."

Zeke was shocked. The man really didn't know who Zeke was.
"...Don't you remember?" He said. "about a week ago I thought you were attacking her in the courtyard, so i fought you." Zeke realized it probably wasn't best to bring that up.
"I was checking to see if she was hurt. You really don't remember?"
Zeke looked at the man before him, who was becoming stranger and stranger by the second. Whatever was going to happen next did not look good.

"Oh, revenge," Traytaine muttered without much reserve, shifting his head to the side to crack it as he continued to speak. "Well then," his eyes drifted lazily over the white haired boys body. He didn't see any damage he could have- oh, there it is. "I got lassies to 'tend to. I'll jus' go 'head and break the other for ye and get it over with."

Upon hearing his words, Zeke immediately jumped a good distance back, away from his reach.
"Hold on, now. I didn't come here to fight. I promised my friend i wouldn't fight anyone until this arm heals. Furthermore, this wasn't from you. A guy named Dante Onferni did this to me. I was just checking to see if your friend was hurt."
Zeke was hoping that would make the man understand, but judging by his past behavior, Zeke doubted it.

Traytaine titled his head back in amusement, without pause chuckled lowly. The graveled sound caught the attention of the girls behind him. Briefly. "He didn't come to fight." He placed his hands back inside of his poncho, slid them into their respective pockets. Could always break it anyways. The sound came from over his shoulder. Sounded like Sharon.
It wasn't. "Why?" Was the response, followed immediately by: Because it would be funny. "I'm already hounded for one apology." I'll give you nightmares if you don't. "You already give me nightmares."
"Speak up lad, can't 'ear ye well," Traytaine brought one hand out of his pocket, and pretended to clean out his left ear with his pinkie finger as he listened to the boy say it again. "If someone tried to 'urt Jen over t'ere, I'd do worse than ye'r arm, lad," he dropped his hand and slid it back into a pocket, his head titling back as he yawned rudely. "So, ye got any other reason to be annoyin' me?"

Zeke was asked to repeat himself. He was also asked if there was any other reason he had to bother him, but that sounded rhetorical. Did he really have no recollection of attacking her?
"I said that you weren't the one that broke my arm, i didn't come here to fight, and that i was just checking to see that jen was alright after you attacked her."
It didn't sound like the best thing to say to a muscular scottish psychopath, that he attacked his friend and he just couldn't remember, but it was all he could think of to say.

Ooc- Well, my character is already in two different places at once anyway. I figure a third won't hurt at all. But of course, I figure that this is happening right after school, which means my character can be here since one of the things he's doing "now" is happening during school, and the other is after school but after track. One thing however: Is this spring or fall? Track happens during the spring, and cross country is the running sport of fall. Also, Zeke, in track there is more than one running event someone can train for. For example, I run distance track, which means I do less sprinting, more pacing, and my events are the 1 mile and the 2 mile. On the other hand, if I was a sprint runner, I would do sprinting events such as the 4 by 4 relay, the 100, or the 400. Since Kayar is a cross country runner, he would be on distance team, and since Zeke runs only track, he would more likely be a sprinter. Sprinters have a more rigorous training program. Distance most likely is laid back and slacks off half the time XD. Anyways... Ic:
Kayar had finished his warm-up run and was now stretching. He'd noticed the small group that had grown nearby, and could pretty much smell the tension in the air. In his usual distracted, uncaring way he turned up the music on his ipod and spaced out. Whatever was going on over there was none of his buisness. He zoned while Tool blazed Schism into his ears. He zoned while the white-haired kid and the mini-Arnold Schwarzenegger began badgering eachother.

OOC: It's California, I doubt they do cross country. And I'll destroy you if you refer to Tray as shorter than their fucking mayor. He's not as freaking tall as Tray. And without being shirtless you couldn't tell a difference between their body types. /endrant
Traytaine raised a brow slightly at the answer he received, and he didn't hear all the boy said either. After he said Jen+Alright he put up his right hand and motioned for him to stop. If he didn't, he'd just talk over him. "Like I said lad, too few dumb enough to do that. Ye got another reason to be annoyin' me?"

(OOC: Sorry, i said at the beginning that since i never did track in real life, it would be slightly inaccurate.)
Zeke realized the conversation was getting nowhere.
"No, I have no other reason. Later."
Zeke went back to the track, and noticed a kid who apparently was spacing out, not paying attention to anything. He hadn't seen him before, but if he was on the track team, maybe they had common interests. and he hadn't gotten a chance to make many friends yet.
"Hey, I'm Zeke. I just got here this week. You are...?"
It didn't occur to zeke that the boy was wearing ipod earpieces, a fact that he still was not aware of.

Ooc- Geeze man, you sound almost as sane as your character (talkin' to tray here). Lay off, cool the hell down. If you want to start a fight over who can run xc under what conditions, I'd be happy to oblige. Personally I'm quite sure you could run xc nearly anywhere in the country, except of course in a big city area. Of course, this is also a big city area, so I notice your point, but then again there is a section called the "forest", therefore a cross country course could exist.
Kayar glanced over, noticing some legs standing a few feet from where he was sitting stretching. He glanced up to see the owner of the legs, who was moving his mouth in the usual human way that typically indicates that person is communicating. In short, Kayar did what any 16-year-old blasting his ears out while half-awake to the world would do. Hit the pause button, idiot. His brain made an attempt. "Huh? What?" A very poor attempt, but it deserved at least an A for effort. Kayar's brain, slowly working its way out of Tool, managed to make the relation between the student in front of him and the student he'd noticed before, talking to "that person over there." His brain hadn't yet picked an accurate, easy way of describing this other person, so it just used "that guy." Same with this one being, "that other student," although this one was easier to distinguish with his white hair. The point is, Kayar's brain was not moving overly fast, the lyrics of Parabola still echoing around within.

It was at this point that it occured to Zeke that the boy was wearing earpieces. He had taken them out, and asked Zeke to repeat what he had said.
Smiling, Zeke said: "Hey, I'm Zeke. I just got here about a week ago, and I haven't gotten much of a chance to get to know everyone. you are...?"
Zeke looked at the boy. The two seemed very similar. Maybe they could be friends. He hadn't made many here yet.

OOC: If I was like my character I would just have walked up and hit you in the face with a chair. The Forest is just reminiscent of the old board. It's not near the school this time.
Traytaine smirked as he watched the boy run off to the track. He raised his right hand and placed it on his neck, pushing to the left firmly to crack his neck. "Well, one less apology." Your making me bored. "I don't care. He turned and walked slowly back to the bleachers.
Sharon was sitting next to Jen, chatting away like hens. Despite his annoyance he moved over. Or more precisely he moved his left leg up onto the first seat, and then his right onto the second. Two long strides and he was just behind Sharon, and slid down lazily to sit. "So what was I doin' 'fore the balloon showed up?"
Sharon looked over her shoulder at him and sighed, leaning back against one of his legs, and lead her head onto his knee while soaking up sun. "You need to listen more carefully." He rolled his eyes and looked down to Jen. He was just teasing Sharon, but apparently it didn't get through. Dry humor rarely did. "Sorry if I scared ye the other night, love."
Jen bit back a bitter reply and rolled her eyes. "Go ahead and finish your sentence, I'll hold her back." Traytaine grinned at Jen's statement. Sharon was trying to 'domesticate' him. So he gladly took the oportunity. "If ye do it again, ye'll get t'e same result." Shanon frowned. Jen smirked. Traytaine shrugged and leaned back against the third seat and rested his elbows there. "Honesty is entertaining." You could have broken his arm. "Shut up."
Unless someone has more for me, this is the end of this thread for me.

Ooc: Okay, a few things: Zeke, I do NOT go for that "let's be friends" crap. Alright? I'm not gay or anything, and I really don't care how similar our characters are, so just stop with the trying-to-get-close-to-Kayar stuff. We can rp, sure, but I personally think it's a bit wierd if someone you've never met in your life starts... eh, I dunno, it's just wierd, in my opinion. But I'll try and go along with it somewhat. But Kayar is basically a loner. He doesn't care about much outside of finding his dad's killer, thus he doesn't care about much outside of himself. Do you look at some random kid and think, "oh, he looks like a nice guy, I'll go become his friend" ? Sure, you want character interaction 'cause it's an rp, but there are better ways to do it. Now I'm just gonna shut up and post.
"You are...?" Tell him your name. "Uh, yeah, right, the name's Kayar. I'm also a bit new around here." Kayar felt a bit awkward. It wasn't like people always came up to him and started talking to him, especially when he was in the facility. Of course, maybe the awkwardness was because of the facility. Because in the facility, if someone had something to say to you, it never was "hey how ya doin'?" It was usually "you got some problem with me?" or "hey space cadet, wake the hell up!"

OOC: (to kayar) Zeke was just saying hi. Jeez. Let me explain: for the past week and a half he has been beaten, constantly fought, and confronted by his psychotic arch-rival. This is his first real chance to make any friends. That's all. He's not gay, or a yu-gi-oh esque friendship fanatical creep, he's just trying to make friends. He's been shunned for most of his adolescent life, since the accident, so stop acting like he's being homo. now that i have that out of my system, i'll post.
The boy didn't seem all that, friendly. Not that he sounded like a jerk, he just didn't seem like the kind of guy who really concerned himself with other people. Maybe if Zeke was a little different, the accident might have made him like that too. In any case, Zeke could tell that the boy didn't want Zeke to start a big conversation with him. Having spent an entire semester at an old school being lab partners with the class chatterbox, he knew it was unpleasant to go through. He decided to end the conversation as quick as possible.
"Oh, sorry. Were you busy?"
The boy clearly wasn't, as he was stretching while listening to music, but it was a good chance to end the conversation.
