Ooc- Well, that makes two of us, I suppose I haven't been making any friends here either. XD So, I'll stop being a jerk. Or at least try to. Sorry.
Kayar finished another stretch. He had one more to do, then he'd go out on his run. But this kid was talking to him, and Kayar didn't want to give a bad image of himself. He wasn't too used to human interaction, at least not with mentally sound human beings. He'd give this a shot though. "I'm going on my run soon, but that's it. What's up?"

Maybe Zeke was wrong. Kayar didn't take the chance to end the conversation, so maybe he didn't want to. He could be wrong, though.
"Not much. You do sprinting, or long distance? I'm a sprinter."
The conversation was awkward, but he'd had a lot of such conversations today. In any case, it was definitely a start.

"Distance." Kayar wasn't really sure what else to say. Then he thought of something. "So you're new here too? Can I ask you somethin'? Did you hear on the news or anything about a recent murder in the city? This was less than a week ago. A man was found dead in his apartment." It would sound like an odd question. But Kayar didn't watch the news. He was just wondering if they had said anything about the murder. If the information was out there, and the killer knew any of the details on what was discovered, then Kayar's work would be a bit tougher than if the killer assumed they'd found nothing. Of course, he didn't know how much the media had decided to broadcast about the incident. He could only hope...

Zeke thought about the question. Why he knew about it without watching the news seemed odd, but he didn't want to mention that. He realized he had heard about it, in a newspaper.
"I think i read something about it. Some guy was killed in his apartment." He thought more about it. "it also said that apparently his son had just flown in, and was about to meet him for the first time. Can you believe that? That must have been hard for him."
That last part seemed unneccessary, but Kayar sounded like he was really looking for information. anything could help.

Kayar simply nodded. No need to mention who that son was. "I'm going on my run," he said simply. "Maybe we'll see eachother again sometime. Until then, good luck with track, Zeke." That being said he'd stand and walk off towards the road and take off down it. He didn't know what everyone else on the team did for their run, but he'd go down the road for a couple miles and then turn back. Simple enough.

Kayar left pretty quickly after what Zeke said.
Something on the back of his mind made him think that Kayar WAS that kid.
If that was true, the pain would be going through would be unimaginable. Zeke had suffered, but he had never lost a family member, or even anyone close to him.
Which explained why Sara was so worried.
As Kayar started his run, Zeke prepared to start his sprint.
Things started to make sense.
And now he was even more determined to stay out of fights until his arm healed, like he had promised Sara.
