Aden had showered and dressed before he was ready to head out on his raffle date. He never expected to win something like this on the night before and he wasn’t quite sure what to expect. He grabbed the keys to the only vehicle in the garage and headed out into the brisk air. Entering the car, he placed a small bag in the back seat of the car before driving off. He drove down the street of San Francisco in his Uncle’s blue civic heading toward the dormitories of the high school where he had agreed to meet Aryn a few hours prior. It was roughly eight in the evening leaving the sky at a dark blue with the stars slowly popping out. With it still winter outside, Aden had the heat on to a comfortable temperature.
Aden had called Aryn to set up the date he had one as a prize in a valentine’s raffle, to his surprise. They had agreed to a dinner and drinks and then possibly going to the range like he had suggested the night before. He wore what was mostly his normal attire. He had a pair of jeans, a red shirt with long black sleeves and his sneakers. His hairstyle stayed the same as normal.
Not being sure what to expect Aden admitted to himself that he was a little nervous, but that was hopefully normal. He calmed himself down with the radio in the car and continued on, the dorms in sight. He pulled up on the side of the road, exiting his car with his keys in hand and heading for the front door. Walking in, Aden made his way to the buzzer looking for the corresponding room number next to the buzzer switch. The nervousness from before was growing stronger and Aden’s normal, calm thoughts were running rampant in his head.
From the morning up until now, Aden had thought about how he was supposed to act in this situation, what he was supposed to say, and how he was supposed to do it. He had seen Aryn’s personality from the other night, knowing she was upbeat and obviously looking to have fun, he was looking forward to tonight. Her personality was unusual to him, that was a given, but he liked it. Allowing his thoughts to calm, he rang the buzzer, waiting for a responses as the ring that you would hear from a phone filled the small entry way.
“Alright, then.”
