I'm going to ask a random question.... Am I the only one who doesn't understand Trigun? Sure, the action is awesome and all, but wtf is with the story? Wikipedia.

IMO, DeathNote sucked hard after L died. Yes, yes it did.

IMO, DeathNote sucked hard after L died. Yes, yes it did. Having Near take over was like jumping the shark. I only read the manga of Death Note, but it was almost like EVA all over again--too good to put down, but only easy to take in measured doses. After L died, the only person I cheered for was Light and his world domination ambitions. My sister recently told me that a Death Note "sequel/epilogue" has already been released, but I'm not sure if scanslation teams worked on it yet. All I know is that it stars Near (boo), a bunch of flash backs, the good guys, and somehow, people are dying again.

I enoyed Near as a character and I don't thin adding him without the cost of L would be a bad idea. Having him pop up every now and then would have been fairly amusing.
The whole reason I dislike the show/ manga afetr L died is the fact that he did die.

; Should I get my hands on the link, I'll be as sure as heck to show it to you. I've seen it on my sister's laptop and according to Wiki at least, it was released this February as a special one-shot. Meanwhile... GetBackers is cracking me up so much. I know the anime isn't necessarily trying to be funny in certain aspects, but I just can't help myself from laughing at your typical shonen-themed thingamabobs... From voice-activated attacks to fight scenes consisting of logic that supposedly "works". Even the acting is a riot... Not like it's bad, but the side characters are as silly to me as the whole "9000" thing. Currently on episode 14 out of 49-ish. I can't wait 'til I watch Tenjho Tenge... 'Cause shonen anime are awesome, yet hilarious to watch. Shojo anime (and manga) require the "asexual factor" at times... Since so many are too much of the same thing, with only one or two things that're bearable enough to have more of. I'm a Kaleidostar fan. It's a cute series, but not award-winning though. I heard that Princess Tutu is cute. I still can't wait for Host Club. I'm reading "Trinity Blood" and "Dogs" right now with a butler manga next. I haven't seen the anime of Trinity Blood, so I wonder how good it is...? (I'm in a bored-enough-to-talk-about-anime-mood now.)

Trinity Bloods anime series is IMO really good. I have the complete first season and I have to say its enjoyable. Though Nightroad has to be a complete stumbling idiot in the anime, not sure how he acts in the manga. Almost like Vash really. I wonder if they had the same writer, someone needs to search that up.
Other than that though, it does jump around quite a bit in the anime. And when Nightroad goes into BAMF mode it does leave a satisfying afterthought. Good luck with the manga, I'm sure it will touch into a few more details that were probably left out in the anime. Nothing that will interrupt the storyline, but minor things that I would have liked to have found out actually watching, and not searching the intraweb for information.

<3 Krusnik.
I've seen most (can't remember if I have seen it all) of Trinity Blood, and I rather like it.
Abel, yes, he is a clutz. How much of that is purposely put on is up to your discretion, but he's a lot like Kenshin (and Vash, though I haven't seen any of Trigun), because when things get serious, so does he.
I've got to find the manga. Maybe when I get home I'll go downtown and see if there's any at the local Anime/Manga shop (>.< even though they put Tokyo 7 out of business).
OH! And I must get the next bits of Hellsing Ultimate while I can. Sucks Geneon went under, I was really looking forwards to the rest of it.

I like the manga and the animation for the anime is purdy, so I'll see if I can grab the anime when I find it.
(I usually buy my manga at bookstores like Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Walden Books because they tend to have deals for them... Buy 4, get the 5th free and stuff like that. It's only when I can't find a certain manga that I go store hopping to anime/manga stores because they're hard for me to access nowadays.)
I have a weird feeling that I ought to buy up the Hellsing Ultimate DVD's while they still can be found. It's horrible that I haven't watched it yet, but I do have a weird habit of buying a whole series before watching any of the episodes.
What other Geneon stuff are out there that're unfinished? I know that Black Lagoon is one of them. Did Fate/Stay Night finish? Should I go on a crazy buying spree for that series too?

Fate/Stay Night finished two days before Geneon officially went under (Wiki it if you'd like), so thankfully yes, it was completed. ^^ As for Hellsing, even though Geneon's gone, the fourth was indeed released three days ago (Feb 22nd). Again, Wiki it. WIKI (Geneon search): So there is hope, I guess, even though the 'titles'' aren't mentioned. Let's cross our fingers, shall we? >.<
