(OOC: I should sue you. They're like a crappy Nickelback. And Nickelback is crappy as it is.)
What the, endowed?
"Yeah, well, I'm not even married for your information! So sit down and shut the hell up, lady!" Conner leaned past Taiku, blurting the first thing that came to mind once more as he pointed at the girl shouting at him.
Ha, told her.
Still angry, Conner nodded his slightly, enjoying his momentarily victory. It didn't last long, however, as the large guy Conner talked to (or at) earlier voiced his own opinion. It was like everyone was ganging up on him, and he didn't even do anything wrong. Conner turned to him, poking him in the chest with the same index finger as he voiced his own defense once more.
"No, he didn't. It's the complete opposite. He was...anti-close! As anti-close as you can be! He was, uh...far! Far from it. Ass. Asshole."
Conner dribbled, likely to continue if it weren't from Taiku finally speaking in response to what started it all. Most of it went over his head, but when Taiku mentioned the girl that won him, Conner immediately looked over his shoulder once more, notcing the girl that held his ticket in her hand. He might have been able to notice her sizing him up, if Conner wasn't preoccupied trying to get the right angle to see down her blouse.
Heeding Taiku's directions, Conner would move down the stage, standing in front of his date. He offered his left arm for her to take it if she wished, displaying a surprisingly charming smile. It showed hints of a possible "pretty boy" face, if it wasn't covered up with a thick five o'clock shadow all presented in his orange prison suit top. Still, he intended to be as charming as he could for the rest of the night.
"I'm Conner. You're not a lesbian are you? 'Cause that would make things real awkward."

People have said that when you hang around work on your days off that you need help, and big time. For Odin, this wasn’t to far of a cry from just that. For his past two weekends off – albeit they were both a Wednesday and Thursday for both weeks – he had been coming into the club, sitting at the far corner of the bar and inspecting the crowd for a strong duration of the night. He wasn’t looking for women to hit on, but those with potential to cause a disturbance. He checked waistbands for hidden holsters, ankles for unusual bulges, and even took a quick glance inside a few purses that were being opened near him at the bar. Though there had been only one potential altercation in which he asked Rick, another bouncer, to go check out he came back night after night, doing a job that he wasn’t currently being paid for.
But tonight, on the most romantic night of all he had to dress up. There was no point in being a sore thumb, sticking out like a drunk stumbling down the street. He dressed as casually as he could while remaining ‘fashionable’, wearing a simple black suit without the tie. He had found it rather peculiar about the tickets being handed out, as he hadn’t gotten word of a raffle before, but he was quickly filled in by a coworker that it had been posted on the bulletin board roughly a week ago. Go figure, guess he needed to start checking it out. Or at least ask around more; perhaps join in a group chat every once in a while. Something, anything that would keep the information flowing.
Regardless, Odin sat down in his regular seat, looking over the crowd from his vantage point. Both tickets safely tucked away in his front jacket pocket. The way they both stuck out at an angle made it look as though he had an extremely slender handkerchief tucked away. But alas, Odin simple sat there at the bar, drinking his glass of water until the introductions had begun. Taking a slip he nearly spat it back out as Taiku mentioned that this was going to be a human raffle. To him this seemed a bit inhumane, but his boss was the one with the business savvy, and the social skills and knowledge to know what people would like. As expected, the crowd cheered in applause as the ‘prizes’ calmly strutted their stuff, or mouthed off nearby patrons.
Taking a look at the faces on stage he recognized a few, but not too many. This ‘Carmen’ girl was in his math class, and tonight she seemed to be a complete contrast from her usual shy self in class. Strutting around the stage like she was the newest tease to pose for a magazine like Maxim or Playboy. Aside from her he also recognized Adam Rydell, both from days at Varron and underground competitions. Continuing along the path of previously fought opponents he next spotted Alkaiser. They had fought on more then one occasion, the more recent of their bouts being the young mans best performance against the ever-dominant ‘champion.’ The rest of the guys, well, there faces didn’t register with Odin’s personal database, and therefore unless otherwise provoked he probably wouldn’t remember them.
As for the rest of the girls he remembered two of them, though one registered a lot quicker then the other. Valencia and himself had hung out and participated in an event or two since their first meeting, which was actually at Odin’s first tournament win in Hircine – though it had taken him awhile to remember where he first new her from. Albeit when they first met he honestly had a crush on her, though couldn’t take up enough courage in order to ask her out. That’s right, the heavy weight fighter whose fought men both bigger and stronger then himself without a bead of hesitation was to afraid to ask out a girl.
As for the other, he strained his memory to remember where they had met, but it all came back to Valencia and ‘the game’. Her nickname was ‘Shade’ or something like that, but he never actually learned her first name outside of the zone. Or at least he couldn’t remember if he did, so she was simply just another girl whose name he did not know, and whose memories would be lost to training and work.
Leaning forward on the counter Odin considered giving his tickets away to someone else, let them have twice the odds of winning. But, despite the weird and nervous feeling in the pit of his stomach that told him it was a bad idea he kept them tucked away softly in his pocket. Tonight would be a long one, eventful he was unsure of, but the feeling was there.

Victoria no more but raised her eyebrow and smirked slightly at Kazuki's silent reaction which to anyone else wouldn't have been apparent. Something not a lot of people could do to the mighty Taiku, or at least from what she remembers.
Victoria made her way toward the stage. Stopping just as far as the steps. Conner making his way downward.
With Kazuki's voice smooth and unchanging, she was instructed to see Rene. But behind his words she could see his curiosity in his eyes. No doubt he would want a word with her. She planned on having one. So with a slight little nod, she would help him cure his curiosity with no doubt a meeting in a private quarter.
Turning toward her newly acquired date she was not so oblivious as his head would tilt slightly as if looking at something as he made his way to the floor, he was not as secretive when taking a peek as he may thought he had been, but Victoria had a keen eye. And with the offer of his hand. She lightly took it. He put on his charm which Victoria could see right through. She was a pretty girl but this wasn't her first time.
"What a charming gentleman." She said warmly as she took his arm. Turning toward the bar, she couldn't help but roll her eyes un-noticeably at his comment. A smart one this one is.
"Well, Mr. Conner. You would be the first to know."
She smiled which more or so turned her full lips to a grin.
As they made arrangements with Rene. Victoria was sure to have seen a spark of recognition from the long blonde girl she knew from the past, but if she had. Rene had not said anything while in the presence of Victoria and her "date" Conner.
(Ooc- I don't know if Ill regret this but Conner you can make arrangements for the date if you want to do a separate thread on it. Up to you.)

. o O ( Not going to be my longest post ever... Oh, and Victoria: free dinner and a movie (I assume) with a man you can easily out-fox (and most likely get away with anything)? How can you pass it up? EDIT: Whoa, forgot we should be off the stage by now. Lemme add that in. ) "I'm comfortable, though I suppose it depends on how far down you intend to get."Conner would receive no verbal reply from Aryn, whose expression grew more vixen-like with each passing second, but the slight, teasing wriggle of her hips would be rather...loud and clear. Still, he set her down, and Aryn took a moment to adjust her slightly mussed hair, flicking it behind her back once again. Even though she was not the slightest bit uncomfortable on the guys' side of the stage, the brown-haired teen slipped her way back over to the group of ladies...but not before pointedly looking over each of the guys not-so-secretly, even going so far as to give a small whistle to one or two of them. A few of the girls she only vagually recognised - such as Carmen - but there was one she was definitely more familiar with: Valencia. Not more than a few inches beside the fellow student, Aryn stretched langorously before relaxing. ''Seems we've got an interesting night ahead of us... Not to mention another with our 'date'.'' She quipped, leaning more upon one foot than the other in a relaxed pose. Personally, she preferred a guy, but would settle with a female as well (as it didn't appear the draws were from separate...'hats'); who knows, the female might turn out to be more interesting than a guy, anyway. Especially if the female was one of Valencia's friends...like the one that had shouted at Conner for his slip. Oh, the interesting things that could happen. Still, the draws were made, and as the female in the red cocktail dress made her way to the stage - with Conner heading down - Aryn put her fingers to her lips and loosed a loud, sharp wolf whistle before lowering her hand with a rather silly grin upon her face. An interesting night, indeed. When they were all said and done with the raffle for the time being, they were ushered off-stage. Aryn, being the crafty little person she was, made a beeline for the bar, eyes scanning to find the first guy eyeing her up a little too closely to ply him for a drink.

(Posting for the sake of posting.)
"I'll take a diet coke." Mae said, looking away from the stage slowly. After her drink had been served to her, she'd reached down towards the heel of her shoe, where she kept her money in. She paid for her order then looked at the dark beverage, changing her mind endlessly on whether or not she truly wanted it.
Part of her was rather curious about if she was the "winner" or not, and as the numbers were announced, even she looked at her tickets. 'Far off.' she thought, grabbing her glass and taking a sip before looking around in the crowd to see who had won the date with Conner. Which, to be honest, didn't take to long as the lucky lady made her "victory" obvious. Mae-Lim took a look at her, seeing that she and the announcer-man were acquainted at the very least. "Well, isn't she just the lucky lady." she remarked, speaking about how she was the winner for Conner. Of course, it was heavy sarcasm but that detail didn't matter when you were talking to yourself.
She turned around taking another sip of the carbonated drink and giving a slight face. She never was fond of Coke and all, but, she'd make an effort. Wasting was horrible but she figured someone else may like this stuff. Maybe she could pretend to be caring and give her drink to them.
Eventually some music went on, and Mae-Lim recognised the band rather easily. She wasn't a huge fan, but she liked the band overall so she wasn't complaining. She wasn't familiar with the song however. It didn't matter, though. Especially since for now, she was being left alone.
"MAE! IT'S YOU!"
Nevermind.
Mae-Lim didn't have to turn to the voice to know who it was. Logan, her little lost puppy and part-time pin-cushion had gleefully spotted her from wherever he was before and of course felt the absolute need to come near her. Oh, and the fact that his crush was nearby (AKA Aina) didn't hurt either. What the hell was wrong with that guy? Aina?? Honestly. But a crush was a crush, and it was none of Mae's business.
"And h-h-hello t-to...you Aina." he added shyly once he was nearer.
Mae turned to the little shrimplet and tilted her head, deciding to cut in now before any conversation between Aina and Logan could start. She didn't care if they spoke, more so, it was HOW they spoke she dreaded. Every word out of Aina's mouth made Mae wanna kill herself, while Logan's endless stuttering whilst in Aina's presence was annoying. To save herself the migrane, she'd seperate them immediately.
"What are you doing here, Logan? Trying to hook up?" she asked, her interest while asking clearly no where to be found. Logan fidgeted before shaking his head like mad. "N-no of course not! I just...wanted to go somewhere for...V-Valentines day. And then I saw Conner here! Did you see? He was a prize! Wouldn't it be funny if you would of won him?"
"First of all, he was hard to miss." Mae started, leaning on the counter with her cheek pressed on her right hand. "Secondly, no. It wouldn't. In fact, not winning at all would really make my day."
"Oh you don't mean that!" Logan said cheerily, before Mae's glare made it disappear. Okay, so, maybe she did. "Well, hey!" he started off again. "If you don't win anyone! I could be your Valentine!" and Logan went off laughing away at his joke, attempting to be humourous.
"I'd rather kiss a dog." Mae huffed, making Logan turn a little red in embarassment. She figured she probably ended up hurting the little guy's feeling, but at least this way he'd stop trying to be a clown. And then maybe he'd toughen up, too.
She looked up at his face, clearly crushed. Toughening him up would be hard, then. Sympathy won Mae over however and she supposed she could try not to ruin his Valentines day, just because he and Aina ruined hers.
"Ugh...okay. Listen. It's really nice of you Logan, but, this Valentines stuff just isn't my thing, alirght?"
Even if she was clearly not sincere in her apology, he immediately cheered up. His frown replaced by immese smiling. So brightly he smiled it had enough intensity to blind someone. Then, he started blabbering away about how he understood and how it was okay. Goodness, she liked him better when he was upset...

ooc: In order to prevent clogging the thread, I'm going to draw all six of the remaning prizes in one fell swoop and after that, you guys with winning tickets can fill in the blanks for whoever you won. Good luck, I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of the draw, which like before, was totally random. However, I must stress that the odds of a same-sex draw are higher this time around. Blame the girls, they didn't show up as much as I'd hoped for, but it'll still work just fine. Also, feel free to exert reasonable control of Taiku as you see fit. I'll post when the six winners are all posted up.
ic:
The minutes clocked by in idle fashion for Taiku, considering he did little other than hover around the bar away from the rest of the crowd...Content to simply take in the sight in front of him, he listened to the band play as he sipped another glass of rum. He'd gone through a few already, and was taking it easy with the current one. Once again thankful for his unnaturally high tolerance, he cursed the opposite factor in it...Whilst he could go through large amounts of liquor without visible effect, it took just one drink to put him over the threshold of sober to drunk, with little middle ground. That, he noted quietly, would not be a clever thing to do tonight.
Eventually, he glanced at his watch again, curious of the time, and made an aside to himself that he'd begin the second half of the raffle in a few minutes. Pushing away from the bar edge, he carefully made his way past the customers between him and the stage, waiting as the band finished up their last song of their current set. With a nod from him, they set their instruments down carefully and gave a few words to the crowd before stepping down and freeing up the stage again. Hopping up onto it, Taiku once again approached the mic and garnered the clubs attention.
"Alright! Would the remaining six please join me up here and we can get the raffle back underway?"
With a smile and a few cheers from the crowd as they made their way up, he waited a moment as the six took their positions behind him. Lights focused on them in six separate beams from a spotlight overhead, and without any further ado, Taiku drew out the small, black bag that held the tickets, smirking.
"So, a slight change from before...This time, I'm going to have all six of them draw their number at the same time, then we'll go down the line and read out their numbers! If you won, wait until the last number is called, then make your way up here!! Once you get up here, stand beside your 'prize'!"
Turning and giving a grin to the six, he once again paced up and down the line of them, stopping in front of the red-haired male and ushering him to the front of the stage before speaking again. "First up, folks, is Steve! Give the ladies a look at you, and then come and draw your number! Cross your fingers, girls, you wouldn't want him to get picked up by one of the fella's, would you?"
Smirking, he waited for Steve to approach and reach into the bag, ruffling the tickets around before drawing one out. Nodding, he gestured to the other side of the stage and turned to the remaining five, pointing at the dark-haired girl, Mickey if he remembered correctly, and motioned her to the front of the stage. "Next up, Mickey! She may look sweet, but I'll bet any money she's as rough-and-tumble as they come!!"
A few wolf-whistles came through as the men in the front rows showed their 'appreciation' to her, and as she drew her ticket, he once again ushered her to the side, next to Steve.
"Two down, folks, four to go! Who do you wanna see next!?"
Grinning as he stopped and pointed at the four in sequence, he bore his decision on the cheers and gave a smirk before shaking his head at them, clearly the guys making Aryn their next pick, "Guys, let's give another one for the girls, huh...?"
Smiling widely at the sounds of a few boos out the crowd, most of which were in good spirit, he pointed at the younger boy. He didn't quite recognise him, so as he approached the stage Taiku covered the mic and quickly asked his name, giving a nod and a smile as he returned to the crowd, "Next in line is Ryou, and once again ladies, keep your fingers crossed, the guys are outnumbering you here tonight, don't let him slip through your fingers!!"
The remark was a joke by all means, though he intended to keep the pairings exactly as they'd be drawn, he was content to allow a slight leeway if either party truly objected to the 'date'. It was all in the spirit of fun, in the end, but some reservations had to be accepted in certain cases. As the tall youth drew his ticket, he made his way to the other side of the stage without instruction, the others now clear on the methods of this draw.
A few cheers for the young man as he walked over were quickly raised as Taiku gave a smile towards Valencia...The three remaning prizes, he noted, he all knew in one capacity or another. As she neared the front of the stage, he raised an arm toward her, "Now, Valencia!! Don't be fooled by the blonde locks, gentlemen, this is one stereotype that's blown out the water!"
Holding the bag open as she reached for her ticket, he caught her eye a brief moment and nodded to her with a short smile before letting her join the others who had drawn their tickets. Glancing over, back and forth between the two groups, he gave Adam a sly grin. It was obvious that the youth wasn't pleased with the situation, but he could sing no higher praise that he was at least able to put aside his own reservations and take part in a sporting manner. Flicking his hand at him to approach the stage, he chuckled quietly to himself before addressing the crowd.
"Last in for the guys is Adam! You've got a real bad-boy on your hands here, ladies, get those tickets ready to check!!"
Holding the bag out to him, Taiku smirked at the larger male, knowing there'd likely be a repercussion of some sorts for this. Still, since the pair had reached an understanding and a grudging mutual respect, he knew not to concern himself with anything for now. As he pulled a ticket out, walking past with a dark scowl on his face, Taiku had to turn away from the stage to stifle a short snicker to himself.
Bring on whatever, this will be so worth it...
Composing himself as he turned towards Aryn, motioning her to the front of the stage as he spoke for the last time introducing the prizes, "Last, but most certainly not least, Aryn! All you guys thinking she's a tease, hell, you're right, but ain't it just grand?"
Strutting herself along the front of the stage, she made no qualms about flaunting herself to the crowd as Taiku spoke, and it certainly riled up a few of the guys in the front rows of the crowd, along with a few of the more...liberal females. An eyebrow flicked up as Taiku waited for her to draw her ticket, and once she'd fished it from the bag, he waved the other five back over to the middle of the stage. Once they stood in a group, he began taking tickets from them and reading them out...
"Alright, like I said, I'll read out all six, and if you won, you can come on up once all six are read out!! First-off is Steve, and his ticket number is zero, one, four, three, six, seven, one!! Congratulations to the winner, and if you wait a moment, I'll move onto the next!"
Stepping over, taking Mickeys ticket, he read out her number. "Zero, one, four, three, six, eight, two!! Anyone with that number, you just won Mickey!!"
Most of the crowd continued to cheer loudly, though a handful of them began to scour their tickets carefully looking for matches..."Next up is Ryou, and his number is....zero, one, four, three, seven, four, zero!"
With half the numbers read out, Taiku smiled and moved onto the next three, taking Valencias ticket from her. "Anyone out there with ticket number zero, one, four, three, nine, one, seven? Congratulations!"
Holding his hand out for Adams ticket, he read it aloud as he had the others, "Zero, one, four, three, two, three, four!!"
Lastly, he took Aryns ticket from her..."Zero, one, four, three, one, two, four! And with that, will the six winners please make their way to the stage, and stand next to their prize...?"
Pacing to the edge of the stage, Taiku gave a flick of a wave to a barmaid who quickly approached with a glass for him, and he sipped his drink with a wry smirk partially hidden by the glass. He was vastly interested in the potential results of this draw, and watched the crowd for movement towards the stage...

Aina was a little insulted by Vince's comment. Pfft. What did he know? He wasn't even that good looking anyway. A perfect husband for an ugly wife. It was useless to even talk to him at all. He was only a waste of breath. "Yes, suuuure." she said with a laugh. "Sorry buddy, but Mae is too good for you. So away you go mutt." She felt very proud of herself and felt like she had said enough. So now she would go off and ignore him as she paid more attention to the human raffle. Well, seemed like Conner was a prize and so was this other dude with the black hair who was also very large. She knew him... but from where? He looked very familiar so they must have met some time in the past.
Either way, the raffle went on, Conner being the first prize and was awarded to this woman that Aina had never seen before. She was pretty though, so it was a plus for Conner. After Conner was given to the winner, the club owner guy decided to wait before giving away the next prizes and put on some pretty good music that the busty blonde danced to, shaking her body to the beat. Going to clubs and dances were truly her thing after all. It was then that a familiar voice was heard. It called out for Mae-Lim, and once he came into view and saw the blonde, spoke to her as well. "Awwww, hey Logan! Like, what are you do-" her sentence was broken off as Mae-Lim began to talk to him. The Swedish girl let it slide of course, never daring to start a complaint towards her. Last time she did that, she was beaten around a little. Though she was a little annoyed. At that, Aina just ignored the two and looked around a little, waiting for the music to stop and for the dude to come back on stage and give off more prizes.
After a little while, he did appear on stage again and began to call out more numbers to more prizes. Once all their numbers were drawn, it would be time to say the numbers again. As they were called and collected, it was a few people's numbers who were called out until eventually, she found herself with a winning ticket. It was no other then Adam, a man she had met before in the past. In fact, she met him twice, but she must have forgotten about both those occasions, you know, with her terrible brain in general. She did as he had asked them to. She waited until the last number was read, which was the one just after her prize, and she later made her way right up to Adam, standing next to him, eying him up and down. She would not say anything to him yet as she tried to make herself look sexy for the crowd by standing around with a hand on her hip, the other to her side. She then flicked her head to the side, letting her long blonde hair flow in the air to give off a good looking glow while her side ponytails gave her her innocent childish look as well. Show off? Yes, yes she was. And man was she annoying to the women when she did that.

(ooc- I hope i didnt make a mistake >.<)
The activity had picked up around the bar when the band had come on to play, and Felix started looking around. A few of the prizes had been raffled off and he smirked as people walked to the stage, collected their prize and walked off again. He took another sip as the music drowned out most of the talking, though within his vicinity people were still yelling at the bartenders to serve them.
He spun around to watch them work, 'Poor bastards. Having to work the busiest and probably the most special day to anyone.' He didn't envy them, thats for sure. He made sure he had this day off, even asked a few weeks ago, though it wasn't a problem. The restaraunt could handle itself, and they had both owners and the best waitress team on for tonight.
He turned back around on his seat at the bar and listened to the bands last song before he saw Taiku head back on stage. Felix's eyes popped as he announced that the last of the people were going to be raffled at top speed, and he wanted to see the pair ups. If it was going to be exciting as the first few, having six people at once head up to the stage would cause a nice little commotion. He figured he'd wait and see and then head out at that time, while everyone was settling after the auction.
He'd just then remembered the tickets that he was given at the door, and it seemed that everyone had them. 'They don't like people who try and slide by the games, do they.' He pulled out both and noticed that they were just a number apart, and with this many people, he had slim chances as it were.
He spun his drink around in his glass and waited as Taiku announced each prize, then announced each winning ticket in turn. He was in the middle of taking another sip as the second ticket number was read out. 'No way in hell' were his exact thoughts as he set his glass on the bar and read the first of his two tickets. 'Well what do you know?' He took a look up at the stage, 'Mickey, was it' and started making his way to it.
He looked at his prize and was astonished to realize that this was completely random, or at least extremely ironic. He completely dwarfed this girl in size and stature. 'It could have been worse.' As he made it to the stage, he climbed up with ease and held his winning ticket in his left hand, while extending his right out to Mickey. "Nice to meet you. I'm Felix." And with that he took his place by her side, waiting for Taiku to finalize things.

Post by Aden Allett on Feb 25, 2008 5:36:43 GMT 1
Aden watched as the prizes were called up. One by one the owner of the club seemed to pick random people, both male and female. The human raffle already had Aden intrigued, but in such a large bar, it wasn’t the most important thing on his mind. Aden’s attention turned as the first person was raffled off. Aden recognized him as one of revelations leaders, Conner. Not knowingly him personally, only through the gang, Aden didn’t pay a particular amount of attention. All he could think to himself was that “At least he was grabbed by a girl.”
The rules of the auction were simple. The prizes were either leaving with a girl or guy regardless of their own gender. It was a game of chance. Not everyone had a chance to win and there was a chance that not everyone would be happy with their prize. Aden had two numbers.
He stared at his ticket. After the first raffle, deciding to prolong the game for what was most likely suspense, the owner left the stage, leaving on music for the groups of people to mingle and dance. Aden paid no attention, merely tapping his foot on the ground as he sat on the stool, both elbows on the bar and both hands holding either side of the ticket. Aden didn’t care if he won or lost and he didn’t care if he received a male or female prize. He had only come in looking for a drink and was thrown by the whole series of events, even if he did find them rather original.
Coming back to the stage, grabbing everyone’s attention, the owner of the bar/club announced that he would continue and finish the raffle in one final round. Aden took a look at who was left. There were six prizes and a large variety of people left in the room. There were three male prizes and three female prizes. Aden, if he won, of course would prefer a female. Girls seemed to scream as some of the male participants were named and as they picked their numbers. Aden took notice of a particularly muscular one named Adam. Looking at himself, Aden never really good go on having so much weight. He liked being loose.
Aden eyes shifted from one female prize to the other. He was never really picky, but it wasn’t as though any of them were unattractive. On the contrary, the owner seemed to know how to pick them. Each one was attractive and Aden wouldn’t mind going home with one of them himself. He smirked at his thought, doubting that was going to happen. After examining each prize, Aden turned his attention back to the drink on the bar.
Lifting the glass to his lips and taking a sip, Aden’s eyes continued to look over his ticket. There wasn’t much else to look at really. Aden listened to the introduction of each prize, however, and the men in the audience roared for more female prizes to pick their number. One in particular seemed to be very popular; Aryn. Time went on and five ticket numbers had been called. Five people in the audience knew that they had won a prize and were happy, relieved, or disappointed, possibly disgusted with what they had obtained. Aden read over his numbers after hearing the last call. “Zero, one, four, three, one, two, four.” Looking at his own numbers, Aden was surprised to see that one of them actually matched up. Turning to see who he won, wide eyed from the turn of events, Aden saw that it was Aryn, the attractive girl who was the last to get her number.
Obviously surprised, never thinking he would have actually won, Aden listened to the owner as he asked each winner to come up and stand by their prize. Feeling a small warmth of happiness for actually winning Aden made his way up, but as the discussion from the men and women who didn’t win began to grow louder, he felt a little anxious. He wondered if many of the men would be jealous for someone like Aryn to not have been won by them. What would that leave them thinking about Aden?
Shrugging the thought off, Aden made his way up onto the stage, approaching and standing beside Aryn. He faced the girl, she looked to be roughly his age from what he could tell. He smiled at her and introduced himself.
“Hey; Aden Allett.”

"I think you and I need to have a little chat in the coming days..."
The words came out in a growl as the self-proclaimed Pain Killer reached into the bag, pulling out his respective ticket. Of the ones who had cheered at his introduction, Mya had definitely been the loudest, and inwardly Adam hoped his sister was the one who would "win" him. That way, he would be rescued from being forced into spending time with a stranger (one who, knowing his luck, would be horrifyingly ugly and unnaturally attached to him) and this ridiculous idea would be over with that much faster.
Sighing, Adam stood off to the side with the rest of the prizes, waiting with no small amount of annoyance as the different numbers were called out. Once his turn came to hand over his ticket, he slapped it into Taiku's hand with a little extra force than necessary, the only manner he could think of to get back at the older man at the moment. However, once he saw who had, in fact, "won" him, his mood completely changed.
Aina!
His scowl instantly disappeared, instead taking on a rather impassive expression as he watched her come closer. He knew her from before, that was true, and in a strange turn of events that he wasn't aware of, had actually defended her from one of the prominent members in her gang, the very man he'd been having trouble with tonight. She was one of the few he'd actually liked from the start, a rare event for the youngest living Rydell.
His gloved hands fell into the pockets of his trenchcoat, Adam turning his head to watch Aina as she walked about him. He had to admit, she looked good, and she was definitely much better than what he'd been expecting.
This might not be so bad after all...
A confident smile made its way onto his face as she stood next to him, the fact that Pain Killer had met Aina before giving him the confidence often denied to him when meeting people for the first time.
"Well, now I'm not so sure which of us was the winner. I couldn't have asked for a better draw, eh?"
Since Taiku had requested the prizes and the winners stand on stage, there wasn't much left for Adam to do except to wait for this part of the draw to be over, and maybe get on with the date that was shaping up to be much more interesting than he first thought.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Odin stared blankly at his tickets, winning wasn’t something he had been expecting, nor was it truly something he wanted. Turning to the women sitting to his left he asked if she wanted his winning ticket, and when asked whom it was for he told her it was the kid named Ryou, or something to that effect. The fact that she instantly turned down his request to give her one of the winning tickets was rather rude and disrespectful. Not to himself, but to the boy in general. “We’ll, aren’t you a bitch.”
Swiveling around on his stool he promptly got up and began to direct himself through the crowd. He had already been feeling uneasy about the matter, but now his stomach was in knots. To put it simply he needed to find something to focus on, something that would alleviate the pressure building inside his stomach. His palms began to get sweaty through fear of public humiliation. Tucking them inside his pant pockets he clenched them tightly and thought back to one of his prior matches. Having stopped in the middle of the floor he closed his eyes, daydreaming about setting up a perfect combination and executing it without a moments hesitation.
Opening his eyes he looked to the stage with a certain twinkle in his eye, and a half-noticeable gleam from his smile. Moving up onto the stage from the crowds far right he tried to limit any notice of him actually being there, making himself look rather informal to the celebration at hand. More so as though there was business to conduct. First thing he did was step up next to Taiku, and after placing his hand on his bosses shoulder to garner the mans attention whispered in his ear: “I got Ryou. Don’t make an announcement, it’s seriously not funny.”
Stepping away he looked at Ryou, almost as though the boy had just insulted his family and now was the time for revenge. Moving toward the younger individual he made no motion of hostility aside from pointing his finger. “You, come with me. We have a few things to discuss.” The crowd wouldn’t be able to hear, by the boy would. Hopefully Odin would be allowed to talk Rene into changing the details a tad bit, more so to associate an open park, or more preferably a gym.

After Conner was given off to his date, Mickey stood there like before, just looking into the crowd, wondering who would so happen to 'win' her. She wasn't one who knew what to do on dates, in fact, she had never been on one. So, really, she was a little worried about that, though kept those feelings on the inside; people would just see her tough outer crust like usual. Plus, it's not like it would count as a real date, right? It was more like a random dinner or something with a new friend? Eh, whatever. No matter what happened, it would probably not matter later on.
Taiku said a little something about Steve, and then something about Mickey that strangely made all the men do wolf howls. The black and red haired girl looked down at the crowd, wondering why anyone would do that at all. Was she missing something? Probably was.... Either way, he said something about everyone and once everyone had a number, it was time for them to be called out. Just like before, she was second. Once all the numbers were called out, everyone made their way to their dates, standing next to them as Taiku had asked.
She looked into the crowd, wondering when her own 'date' would appear. Well, didn't seem to take long and man, did she feel small next to him. He seemed to be about a foot taller then her and she wouldn't doubt it if he was many pounds more then her.
"Wow...." she softly said as she lifted up her head to look at him. "Mickey, Man, you're freakin' tall." she said, lifting a brow and shaking his hand. "My date, I'm guessing?" Wow, how fun. It just seemed so odd that it just so happened that the probably smallest girl there was paired up with such a huge man. Oh well, it could make things interesting, right?

Ryou made his way back to the stage, once again in the centre of attention, how he detested being in the spotlight. He watched from the corner of his eye as the procedure commenced, looked like when it was his turn, he had to draw a piece of folded paper from a black bag. He then made his way over to the owner of the club, being that he didn't know Ryou, he gave his name quickly to him, and he then drew a piece of paper from the bag, and made his way back to his spot without any instruction needed.
Ryou stared upwards, almost like he was bored already. He didn't even notice as a bunch of people stood up and made their way over to the stage, to stand beside the person or "prize" as Taiku called it, since he had already called out the winning numbers. Ryou laughed inside, winning numbers, it sounded to him like a lottery, but instead of getting money (unfortunately), you'd get a person as the prize. He instantly snapped out of his bored expressionas an older boy made his way over to him and pointed his finger straight at him, somewhat hostile, in a sense.
" You, come with me. We have a few things to discuss.”
Ryou followed, no questions asked, from the tone of the guy's voice, it was like Ryou had insulted him or his family or something, and it was time for revenge. Ryou didn't really know him well. so he had his guard up slightly. Ryou shoved his hands in his pockets, and walked down the stage stairs, away from the well lit stage. Ryou sighed relieved, at least he wasn't part of the centre of attention anymore, although he really wished he knew what was going on, though he had a sinking feeling he knew what had transpired.
" Hell no, oh hell no!" he thought, slightly panicky in his mind. " This just not happened. Great crispy crap..." His expression turned from puzzled to a sinking look. At least none of his friends or anybody he knew was here to see what happened, thank god, at least some luck was on his side, though at the rate things were going, his name would be well know, unfortunately. " Dammit..." he sighed, slapping his forehead, could this night get any worse?

The raffle was about to start off again and Mae-Lim had placed her tickets on the counter she was leaning on, lazily. She brought the nasty drink to her lips and gulped it down quickly, intent on finishing it as quickly as possible so she could just rid herself of it.
"Mae, aren't you going to check your tickets?" Logan inquired, taking them into his hands and looking over the numbers as well as his own. Mae stared at him blankly before turning to look at the stage. With her silent no, Logan took it upon himself to "aid" her and check it for her instead. What a helpful little guy. He could do what he liked though, Mae-Lim was more preoccupied taking her glass of water from before and attempting to wash down the horrid taste of diet cola. Sadly, water wasn't too effective in removing bad tastes.
At any rate, it came to the point where the raffle numbers were being read out, and Logan began to read the four tickets like a mad animal, trying desperately to remember the numbers said and trying to match them with the tickets. Oh and how lucky! Second half of the raffle and already Logan had spotted a winner! "MAE! YOU WON!" he exclaimed gleefully, Mae-Lim's eyes widening in shock as she spat out some of her water and choked on the rest. She began coughing like mad, Logan trying to do the helpful thing again and smacking her back as if he thought it'd do anything. Which it did. It pissed Mae off even more. She growled and grabbed the boy by the collar, staring at him fiercely with all her anger, even with the tears in her eyes (since she was suffocating). She couldn't, however, hold back her breath any longer and let the boy go in a matter of seconds, coughing away until eventually she could breathe again.
"Wh-what?!" she asked him. Logan smiled nervously and showed her the ticket. "zero, one, four, three, six, seven, one! That's your t-ticket M-Mae-Lim...You won that Steve g-guy...."
Mae-Lim looked towards the stage, finally taking notice of the others, or more so, her "prize" before realizing who it was. It was that red-head she'd met before who was a Pillar. Or was he just WITH the Pillars? No, no, she was pretty sure he was one. REGARDLESS, they'd met before. Sort of. "How do you know you didn't just mix up our tickets?" she asked. Logan frowned and shook his head. "But I didn't! See? My numbers are completely different! And I looked at your numbers when I took your tickets Mae! Honest! You won! Isn't it great??"
Mae-Lim swallowed in a large chunk of...nothing, releasing her breathe in a shaky sigh before snatching the ticket out of Logan's hand and turning around; muttering "Oh hell...." before slowly looking towards the stage. She wouldn't be a spoil-sport (too much), she'd just go and get this over with. Who knows? Maybe he wasn't bad company like some people... Alright. Time for a complete change of attitute! You are CALM! You are NICE(ish)! Put on a big 'ol smile, Mae! Go gettum!
With the numbers all called out, Mae waited a bit before deciding to make her way onto the stage. She had managed to calm herself down a bit and while she didn't look like she was extremely thrilled, she managed to pull off the apathetic look. Which was better then a pissed off one, right? Right. Anyway, she'd made her way up to Alkaiser, taking a good look at him first before closing her eyes then saying, "Looks like you're stuck with me." then opening her eyes. It was her sad attempt at "kidding", but her over-all serious tone made it harder to tell. Realizing this a bit, she allowed the right corner of her mouth to curve in a half-smile.
Oh hell. This was going to be so awkward. If not for him then for her.

As Taiku had been introducing him, Steve had definitely not been very shy about showboating for the crowd. Steve then noticed his fighting nemesis, Odin Reeves, coming to the stage to pick up a prize. "A...man?" he thought in surprise. Suddenly, his showboating ceased, for fear that he too should be picked by another guy.
Then, a high pitched scream caught his attention from the crowd. Again he was surprised by this person's gender, as it turned out to be a man as well. "MAE! YOU WON!" Finally, Alkaiser could see who he 'belonged to', as a girl approached the stage from the scene of the shriek.
Steve recognized this girl as Mae-Lim, the one who had pounced on Conner McGrath during a meeting between himself and the leaders of Revelation. Supposedly she too was one of these 'horsemen', although Barzahd had never quite understood how she came into this position. At that time, she was acting bubbly and playful, but tonite she did not seem like she was in the mood.
"Looks like you're stuck with me." was how she greeted her 'prize'. "On the contrary," he fired back, "It looks like I'm the one that won." The charm forced it's way from his mouth, now formed in a smile. Had his brain gone on auto pilot?
After a short time the realization of political positioning hit Barzahd. She was Revelation, he was a pillar. "Is she going to try and poison my drinks?" he wondered. He was taking things too far, he knew, but the chances of this being bad news were quite high. Still, the two groups found a way to work together in the past...maybe he could make this work after all. Steve knows that she can't be all that excited about their night out, but resolves that making her not hate him would count as a moral victory. So, he continues to try and make her smile.
From behind his back, Steve produces a rose. Hopefully she wouldn't see through his cheap parlor trick, or the fact that he had swiped it from a display on his way to the stage. "So, should we be going?" he offers.
"Well, she's not a dude...sorry Odin."

The ''break'' the prizes and guests had been allowed was a hoot... Well, at least for Aryn it had been. After having a drink at the bar, she'd turned her gaze back to the dance floor as ''How Long'' from the band's set came on. A song with an energetic beat--perfect for dancing. ...and who was Aryn to refuse the chance to press up against random people?
Slinking her way in and amongst the dancing people, she soon found herself creating a bit of a 'disturbance' with the way she was dancing. As she was nobody's prize as of yet, she didn't exactly stay pressed up against any one guy - or girl - for very long, but switched partners whenever she chose. If she could have, of course, she would have danced with every single person on the dance floor, but the song just wasn't long enough. In any case, not long after that Taiku came back on stage, which was the signal to get her own butt up there along with the rest of the prizes.
She stood between Mickey and Valencia, comfortably standing more upon one foot than the other, occasionally shifting her weight from foot to foot, and as they were called to the front to pick out their numbers, Aryn gestured to both girls at her sides with her thumbs. A cheer went up from the crowd as Aryn then fanned her face in a 'Oh my, these two are hot' movement and faked a slight swoon, coming back up with a grin sometime shortly after Taiku asking the crowd to pick the next person. Oh, it wasn't all about her up here, she was well aware of the other people standing up on the stage.
Still, it didn't stop her from ''strutting her stuff'' when it was her turn.
Numbers were announced, and people made their way to the stage. Aryn blinked rather owlishly at the person who had won Mickey. Goodness, he was rather tall, especially when compared to the extremely short teen at her side. It was only a minute or two later that her own winner stepped up beside her before turning to her.
''Hey; Aden Allett.''
Those deep green eyes were turned up to Aden's own light ones, but not before she scanned him from head to toe. It wasn't a judging or inspecting stare, just quick enough to satisfy her curiousity as to how the guy looked. The corner of her mouth twitched in a smirk before it widened into a smile.
''Aryn, as you know. Aryn Valcoph.'' For one moment, her smile broadened as she quipped: ''Don't expect me to jump onto you as I did Conner.''
It was all good-natured, he was sure to see. If he wanted her ''up'', well, he'd have to sweep her off her feet himself. Perhaps in a while, after a few more drinks, it'd be her doing the jumping...again.

Vince was almost disappointed when his ticket wasn't called for the first few, even missing the intriguing looking dark haired girl, though happily missing the boy that was next in line. When it came down to the blonde haired girl that he was originally his target he was astonished.
Hell, did the Devil himself have luck this good?
There was his usual grin on his face as he walked up onto the stage to claim his "prize." The ticket waving tauntingly between his fingers before he took Valencia's hand and put the little piece of paper in it. The smirk never leaving his face as he spoke.
"You know, someone somewhere is watching this happen and laughing his ass off."
There would be a small chuckle from Vince, though he was sure that the girl with the slowly fading blonde hair would give some other response and more than likely an odd one. Perhaps even an unfavorable one.

He smiled as the obvious was stated. "Yea, I'd be your date, and yes, I'm pretty tall, compared to some people." He wanted to keep it as light as possible. This was going to be fun, at least thats what he wanted. As he stood next to her he looked her up and down, sizing her up. 'Not bad, I definitely could've done worse.'
He watched more people pair up, and couldn't help but supress a laugh as someone he recognized by face actually got paired up by another guy. "Sucks to be him right now." He watched as his match up walked off stage. "Don't think their too happy about that." He said it aloud as a slight joke, hoping Mickey would pick up on it.
"So anyways, since this dates being completely paid for, by my understanding, where exactly would you want to go. Typical dinner and a movie, something fun, something dreadfully boring perhaps. Anything works with me," he said with a laugh. If he was going to have fun then he might as well start now.
He looked around and everyone was getting on with their own business, he could see random tickets littering the floor and the hustle and bustle picked up again.

Ruth stood there for a while, smiling broadly as Conner said his thing. To some, she was taking the blow and smiling to diffuse the situation. To many, many others... She was holding in the laughter. You see, jokes and snide remarks are like frisbees. Either you get it, or WHOOOSH!! The lesbian shook her head and decided to let the bloke move on in life since what he said was humor enough. She leaned over to Gladys and spoke loud enough for any nearby folks to hear...
[RUTH]: "Marriage, eh? I hope he's not married 'cause when it comes to manhood, he's still got a ways to go!"
She took a bow as her girlfriend applauded, unaware that one of the people snickering nearby was none other than Annette, the tiny editor of one of Hircine's newspapers, the Tracker. This evening, her objective is to do something on great teen hang outs. She scribbled away on her notepad about everything she caught with her eyes, from the service, to the event, even the host for this evening. As for Sean, the ever-so-tall-yet-not-quite-bright body guard, he was trying to figure out how to convince his editor that this was actually a date instead of an undercover investigation.
[ANNETTE]: "Think of all the readers we'll get if these pairings lead to something more! Sure, the Howler is all tabloids and is more well-known about it, but it would hurt to be the middle ground between THAT piece of junk and the Keystone Predator! That'd be AWESOME! Sean, do you think those two guys are--"
[SEAN]: "Uhh... W-would you like a..."
[ANNETTE]: "I get it! To know how they feel, I have to get inside their heads! Right now they're strangers, so of course they won't like each other... But think about it! That... Varron transfer, right? He could be the DOMINANT guy while the other one is the SUBMISSIVE type! Just like those pairings where complete opposites attract!"
...The 4'10", pint-sized lady couldn't be any more wrong about Odin and Ryou. As for Valencia, Vince approaching her with his winning ticket couldn't be any more wrong either. Now, she didn't necessarily hate Vince. If anything, they were decent acquaintances. However, he was one of those acquaintances... That know how to make her test the resistance of her skull. Valencia didn't need to say much when her quiet, wide-eyed expression spoke volumes.
NUUUUUUUUUUUU... GETAWAYFROMME~
She looked at the raffle ticket and turned it in her fingers. She even flipped it upside-down to check if he was even reading it right. Weren't her numbers 0143917? I mean, if you flip it upside-down, it TOTALLY reads o!AE6IL... Well, if you're blind or need glasses, that is. Valencia was speechless and didn't know what to do next. She shot a pleading look towards her friends, who kept cheering her on to get random free stuff like bears that scream happy things. Her bottom lip twitched as she kept staring at Vince. Free stuff, sure. Vince, aiya... She tried to compose herself as a rather uncomfortably fake smile graced her features...
"Might as well make it entertaining, or that someone will get bored pretty fast..."
She looked over to the other dates and followed their example, stepping off of the stage to seek refuge in less noticeable surroundings. But Valencia was a prize now, so who knows what what the evening has in store for she and Vince should they ask Rene for details...

Post by Aden Allett on Feb 29, 2008 2:59:33 GMT 1
Aden had made his way onto the stage, meeting his “prize” and introduced himself to her. In front of all the envious men who wished they had one, most scowling at his direction, he could only smirk at the thought. After giving the girl his name, she turned to him and seemed to take a quick look at him. Aden also gave her the once over. Only seeing her from a distance, it was nice to get a close look. He understood why the other men were envious. This girl in front of him seemed like the best prize he could have won.
Aden knew he had seen her briefly before, with revelation matters, but he never paid much attention. The girl introduced herself as Aryn Valcoph and of course, he already knew. Having her name announced in front of the whole club made it easy. Her smile broadened as she joked about Conner. Aden could only assume she referred to one of the heads of revelation. With this, his smile also grew as he thought of it.
“Oh, don’t tell me I’m in competition with Conner.” He joked as he looked at the girl. “So what can I do to please my prize?”
If Aden had won, he might as well make the most out of it.
