Yeah, you know those Australians... all with their igloos and their Steve Irwins and their Man-Bear-Pigs.
I call the February-December semester weird as many people call the fact that the United States uses "feet" instead of "meters" as "weird." It's outside of your own norm, and thus, you raise your eyebrow at it.
So yeah, while it may not be weird to you Nick, it's certainly different to me. Thus, I think I've got my reasoning. And I doubt a bit of "weirdness" didn't hurt anybody, so I'm not too concerned about offensiveness here.
Anybody, I'm sure plenty of people still have not read this thread and got the idea that the board's IC year is nearly over, so it's probably a good thing that it was woken up a bit.

I agree. I didn't know the school year ended at about the same time the calender year did, so I kinda got a little spark of extra activity when I found out that I didn't have much more time left.

I know this thread is a long time dead, but I have something that needs to be addressed. You said the school year ends in December, but there are a lot of important storylines in play right now, and a good deal of interesting activity happening. My question is this: When exactly are we ending the year? So that we know how badly we're fighting against the clock on all of these respective plots going on right now. If I had my way, I would prolong the year so that we can maintain all of this nice activity that we have going on right now. That's just me though, and my solutions are not known to always be the most practical EDIT: Also, sorry for the long-time double post. I didn't even notice that I had the last word in this thing

I guess the time for prolonging things is over and useless. All threads made before the school ending will continue until they are finished, considering the started before the end. Any new threads however should simply adjust to the new dacts. Of course I bet there are going to be a lot of exceptions

I think Sjoerde has a good point on this. Considering that the Pep Rally thread has already begun, than its events obviously occur before the end of the school year. And considering that I doubt we'll care enough to make a graduation thread, than there will no worry in events deeming whatever would happen in a graduation thread uncanon.
I think we should set a date for when the crossover will take place. We'll likely make this date December 25th, so that way we can allow people to get in their pre-graduation threads just before they receive their presents. Then, whenever they come back to the board, they'll be able to roleplay the new school year.
Not sure whether this would be a good idea or not, but I think having a sort of "school break" that can be briefly roleplayed. Then again, it doesn't seem that useful.

People should also update their bios after Dec. 25. To add in events of the year. I know I'm going to .
