Pissing people off...nothing new (Open)

[Dante Williams]

OOC: Bleh, this threads main purpose is to get my mojo flowing... I haven't written anything in, off or on this site, about three weeks, so sorry if this is really bad!!!

God, Dante thought boredly as he walked through the halls of Hircine High, Everything's gone quiet ever since the riot... too quiet for my comfort. I almost prefer the violence...

"Observe..."

Dante looked up as he heard those words and a gang of Hircinians circled him, most looked like they were seniors or so, the student who previously spoke obviously being their leader "... the typical Varronite. Violent and a poor excuse for a human being..."

Oh God, not this crap again... Dante yawned and said, "Observe... the typical Hircinian. Relies on stereotypes and pretends to be smart."

The Hircinians' eyes flared for a second and took a step forward, then regained his posture and said, "Hircinians don't like to be insulted either..."

Dante smirked and said, "Oh! Says the one who was just calling me 'violent' and 'a poor excuse for a human being'?"

The Hircinian snarled, "Shut up!" And ran to him and tried to punch him.

Dante laughed and sidestepped the punch easily saying, "Oooh... nice comeback!" Then he stepped forward and kneed the hircinian in the stomach, causing him to crumple to the ground for a while. Then Dante said, "You attacked me, giving me an excuse to hurt you, nice job..."

The other Hircinians around him, enraged, ran towards him and tried to take him down. Dante jumped to the side, dodging there attacks and then muttered, "I can't see why I didn't expect that..."

Then he started to run away, they would probably get give up chasing him or he would get help, he didn't want to cause any more violence than was necessary. "I'm becoming more and more like Tiao every day..." Dane muttered and rolled his eyes while turning on a corner in the hall, "... using violence as an answer and antagonizing people... God I can be obnoxious when I want to..."

Then he met a dead end and he groaned, "Ahh great..." Then he turned around to find out that every one of the Hircinians caught up, including the 'leader'.

"Oh well," Dante said while getting into a fighting stance, "What must be done will be done..." Then he muttered under his breath, "... though a little help would be nice..."

(OOC: Oh boy, Mister Dante Williams. You troublemaker you... :-D. I'll just assume this is after school. Also, if I'm doing too much NPC control, just tell me.)

With time to kill, Jellar was roaming the halls. No objective in mind, just roaming the halls, bored. He wasn't going anywhere in particular, no, just roaming. School was over and he had no reason to go home just yet. He was enjoying more and more independence lately as he grew older. There was no reason to be under a leash which was controlled by his parents when it was unnecessary. He was responsible, and more than capable of taking care of himself.

Though, upon his roaming, Jellar caught a familiar face. Dante Williams, being chased by some seniors of some sort. Not recognizing any of them the least bit, Jellar deemed them as Hircinians, and he found it strange that they were causing trouble. Perhaps they forgot the certain threat that a certain propaganda machine had thrown out. Not that Jellar was naming a certain pillar or anything.

With that, Jellar followed the chase from behind, easily keeping up with his own speed, and he found that Dante was led to a dead end. 'Alright, time to be the Watchman,' he thought. He knew a perfect way to break up any conflict, and it was to merely remind them of a certain pillar's wrath. It would be easy.

"Don't make me tell Kurtz on you guys," Jellar said, his voice appearing from the back of the gang of seniors. His voice was strong, as usual when he wanted to get the attention of some people, and drew attention from the seniors. His eyes, in a poker face, showed every intention to reporting them to Kurtz. The seniors comprehended this for a moment, and decided to back down. For sure, they did not want a football team armed with baseball bats on their asses. No, they did not.

Leaving with threatening remarks back to Dante and Jellar, they shrugged off the situation and carried their wounded away on their arms. Having ended the fight before it started, Jellar felt a tinge of satisfaction, and he let his tension leave, now approaching his friend Dante Williams.

"Dante Williams, you troublemaker you," Jellar began, with a grin on his face. "Tiao must be influencing you or something. What got those guys on your ass anyways?"

Dante was ready to fight when he heard a familiar voice, "Don't make me tell Kurtz on you guys,"

The gang left, but not before cussing him out. As Jellar approached Dante, he said, "Well, you saved me three times in a row. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that I had a guardian angel..." Then he winked.

"Dante Williams, you troublemaker you, Tiao must be influencing you or something. What got those guys on your ass anyways?"

Dante grinned, "Well, as you know I would NEVER upset anyone on purpose..." Then he coughed and said, "...but I might have... 'influenced' these people to try to attack me..."

Then he mock-boasted saying, "But I didn't need your help, they were practically running by the time you got here..." He winked again and walked towards Jellar.

"So what's been up? Haven't seen you since the riot..." Then his eyes fluttered open, and changed the subject, "Oh yeah! That one guy who tried to knock me out at the riot, I don't know his real name, but I heard it was 'Pain Killer'... Apparently, he challenged the school captain as soon as he got here..."

Taru stood there baffled by all the senseless fighting he just witnessed and decided to make himself noticed. He made a quick sharp whistle and entered the scene. Taru walked toward both Dante and Jellar. Jellar was here too? I guess Dante must be a friend of his. Or something like that. Taru smiled as he thought about it and stood next to Jellar instead of Dante since he actually knew Jellar more than he knew Dante.

"Guess you just beat the living crap out of all those Hircinians...? No complaints. They might be from the same school but they are also the same ass holes. My name's Taru. And I already know who Jellar is. So who is this guy Jellar? It seems as if he gets into trouble...Quite often due to me hearing he say you saved him three times in a row. And this pain killer fellow...I heard about him...I also heard about another kid who challenged Tiao. And got hospitalized. Whoever he was. Oh well. So what brings you here Jellar. Besides saving this guy?"

Taru asked and smiled a little bit due to the fact this guy owed Jellar quite a bit now being saved three times. And especially that gang. Jellar is the guy who helped get Taru into the watchmen (presuming he makes it) and that concludes Jellar is a helpful person. A friend that you'd need in life indeed. Taru sighed as he looked downward at the ground waiting for either of the two to reply at all. Just to spark up a conversation between the three people.

"Then that makes only two times," Jellar commented half-jokingly after Dante said he had the seniors on the run by the time Jellar had go there. Honestly, Jellar had not come there in order to save Dante. It was more of a situation of preventing a fight, doing his duty as a Watchman. He had been into the whole Watchman thing for a long time. Some of his actions were successes, as now was, and some were not so, as the riot was. He still felt a throb in his stomach from Pain Killer's knee.

Just as Dante finished talking about the very Pain Killer that had set the greatest injury on Jellar in the riot, another familiar voice chimed in. Well, if it wasn't anyone other than Taru. He listened on before speaking, failing to fully contain a laugh when Taru spoke of 'some kid' getting hospitalized by Tiao. Oh, he wondered who that may have been.

"Nothing," Jellar began, answering Taru's question first off. He had nothing to do, and other than breaking up the fight before it could develop, Jellar was not doing anything. Again, he did not think of himself as 'saving' Dante, but it was of little concern. Going on, he continued. "So Pain Killer, or should I say Adam, had challenged the Darren Blayne. Obviously, he lost, seeing that he's not our school captain."

With that, Jellar stopped speaking, glancing at Dante to give him a chance to introduce himself to Taru. He would probably crack a joke about his getting hospitalized. Either that, or he would get defensive. At least, that was according to Jellar's speculation.

"Only two?" Dante asked and smiled. Then he shrugged and raised an eyebrow as someone new came into the scene.

Dante laughed when Taru mentioned the 'kid who challenged Tiao and got hospitalized'. It also seemed as if Taru was completely ignoring the fact that Dante was right next to him, considering the fact that he always said 'this guy' many times over.

"Kid who challenged Tiao and got hospitalized?" Dante asked grinning, "Sounds like a dorky guy..." Then he held out a hand and continued, " 'This guy' is Dante. Dante Williams. And he prefers to talk in first person, thank you."

Taru smiled at the persons slight joke. So he was the one who tried to fight Tiao. Pretty crazy. Some people truly got guts in this world. Taru didn't know anyone else would even dare challenge the pillars. Except a few guys but, that would have to wait. Taru scratched the back of his head as he took a breath. This place got wierder and wierder by the second. Thats what Taru thought atleast. Taru looked at the guy named Dante who offered his hand.

"Dante huh? You're not fatally injured from Tiao are you? And I'm Taru."

Taru shook Dante's hand and gave him a wide grin. The guy seemed nice. A bit goofy too. Need more people like that in this world atleast. Taru stopped shaking Dante's hand and sighed before looking around. Taru realized there was actually nothing to do. At all. Sucks for him since he missed out on all the action. Taru wished like the gang came back so it would be them versus the gang or something. Taru laughed in his mind. Actually, thats a wish he didn't want to come true.

(OOC: I'm gonna exit the thread because I don't want to hold up anything by being away.)

Grinning from the friendliness the two were showing despite the jokes, Jellar could only look down to the floor to conceal his smile. However, as they were conversing, he felt his cell phone vibrating in his pocket, though not ringing as it was still off because he had not wanted to disturb class should someone call him during class time. However, he stepped back and turned away from their conversation, speaking. He checked the screen of the cell phone. It was his dad.

"Hello?" he asked, a soft tone, speaking his native dialect of Cantonese.

"Hey son, I need you to come home to help me out with some yard work and other things. Come home now," his father responded in kind, using Cantonese.

"OK, I'll be there soon. Bye."

With that, he hung up his cellphone and relayed the information to his two friends, turning around and flipping the cellphone closed and sliding it into his jean pocket. Interrupting whatever was going on, as his dad had an somewhat of an urgent tone, he spoke through.

"Hey guys, I need to be headed home. I'll catch you guys later. And Dante, stop trying to get into fights. It's not what a Watchman does."

With that, he turned around and walked quickly away from the direction he came from when following the gang of seniors that were going to attack Dante, leaving the school and on his way home.

OOC: Yeah, really sorry for the shortness...

"Dante huh? You're not fatally injured from Tiao are you? And I'm Taru."

"Yeah." Dante said bluntly, "You already said your name..."

Then Jellar picked up his cell phone and spoke in some language which Dante was not familar with.

"Hey guys, I need to be headed home. I'll catch you guys later. And Dante, stop trying to get into fights. It's not what a Watchman does." And at that note, he left...

"...not what a Watchman does..." Dante repeated, "...not what a Watchman does..."

Then he perked up and said, "So... you know Jellar. How'd you meet him?"
