A new year..... A time for new beginnings for the students, for the faculty, and for him, but this year, the well-dressed man had a suitably amused aura about his person...Many had wondered where he had grown so jovial in recent times, with his school growing quickly enough and the student body adjusted to such an extent that his presence was only really ever required for official work, many of his closer friends and associates wondered that the sense of boredom with such a simple job was taking its time on grabbing hold of the man... But he was not one to be so quickly drawn to boredom, and he would see that this year he would prove himself right on a number of things, with just the people to help him do the job. Turning his head up, he puffed slowly on the thick cigar between his lips, a habit he had held since military service seven years ago, as he skimmed over a few more of the records in the neat storage boxes in front of him...After the last month, he had looked over almost every single one of the files he had acquired with the arrival of the students from Varron Academy, and had to admit that even he had managed a faint snicker at the records of some of these lowlifes...Kids with no future, who would amount to sweet fuck-all, and he would be using them for his own benefit... Even if it meant risking the other Hircine High students.... "Some of these kids do seem somewhat troublesome though, I'm just glad these ones graduated already...." A smaller stack near him held a list of a small cluster of former Varron students, the most notorious and feared, in some cases respected, of the school...He had taken no chances, there was every chance one or two of them might follow their former classmates, and some of the files had even managed to surprise him. They were not terribly troublesome by any means when it came to him, but had they been present in the school, he would have found himself facing much more of a challenge than he had first thought. But, there was no more time to dwell on his, his captain and the students who followed him would do enough to put forward his plans, inadvertantly playing directly into his hands, hands that would inevitably betray all of them, one way or another....Pushing himself up from the thick leather seat he had been reclining in, he glanced up at the clock with a raised eyebrow...Ten minutes after eight, and he was certain that most of the students would have gathered in the auditorium by now. As he had done every year, he was to address the students and welcome them back, but this time he would also be 'welcoming' a large number of the former students of Varron Academy.... He wasn't stupid, he was well aware the Hircine natives would be aware of the transfer, he had seen to it that small facts leaked out every so often regarding them, the fact that many of them were the worst and most powerful of the old school being one he relished in allowing out...Mr. Blayne, his little subordinate captain, had been very adamant that these students would not receive a warm welcome, but he had simply given him his marching orders, sending him from the office to stew over the facts he had received...And now, as he began to make his way to the large hall, walking through the corridors of the pristine high school, he felt excitement tingle through his body. If his theory was correct, then as Hircine High began to revolt against the presence of Varron Students, he would be able to argue that even a man like Dimir would be in awe to him...His students, the native ones, anyway, were well-adjusted individuals for the best part, strong, smart and hardworking kids who knew the rules, and for the best part had no problem adhering to them for the greater good, for themselves as well, by no exception. Having little doubt that these ruffians would find themselves like fish out of water against the students here, he would prove that even they could be tamed, even controlled... The sound of chatter as he approached the auditorium reached his ears, and he stubbed the cigar out underfoot in the back-stage area as he stood, exhaling the plume of smoke from his lips before he stepped out and took the stage, his eyes meeting over two thousand other pairs that looked back at him, the majority of them rather unbothered by the man in front of them having spent at least a year at the school already...They knew their principal was a strict man, but all at once he had been rather demure with them, not enforcing anything outrageous against the students by any means. Those who knew more about him would also argue that why this was, was because he was so ruthless with his punishment when it occurred that something out of line presented itself. He had, on more than one occasion, sent a student to the hospital with injuries, rarely all that severe, but enough to prove his point without much hassle on his part.... The rest of them however, standing and sitting sporadically at the back where they were kept separate from the Hircine students for now, simply glowered at the man ahead, uncaring of his intent or why he had taken them on. Most, if not all, were not Varron natives themselves....They had come from other high schools that had been closed down or transferred from them for their own actions, most knew all well about rumours of schools taking on students for cash bribes… However, all thoughts were broken when a light hiss over the speakers caught their attention…Tapping the top of the mic lightly, the well-dressed, almost non-descript looking man stepped up another pace and leaned forward…. “The new year is upon us, and with it comes a new beginning and a fresh start for you all…I would like to start off the announcement by welcoming back our sports teams fresh from a long break to put their feet up and relaxing, but I assure you, we will not be doing much of that now. The trophies won last year look very nice in the display hall, but I’m betting I’m not the only one who wants to see them see another year there….” He paused a moment, letting a few claps ring through the air along with some muted laughter as one or two of the football team stood up, taking over-exaggerated bows at their success last season, before giving a dry smirk of his own and continuing… “Anyway, I feel that this year will prove most….interesting to many of you, not least our new transfers from the former Varron Academy. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our establishment, my name is Principal Liam MacMillan, but do not address me as such. You may just call me Liam when you need to speak to me about something….You all may find that Hircine High is a far cry from the school you all came from, and our rules are somewhat different…Do not try to learn them, I assure you that you will discover them in due course….” As a few people began to murmur quietly, glancing over their shoulders at the large group of new students, a few soft remarks made in near-silence as the heads turned back, and he carried on again…. “I urge all of you Hircine students to welcome our newcomers and give them the welcome they deserve, remember that these students come from an environment very different to our own, and they will require some time to adjust to the way we do things. To you former Varron students, the same applies. You aren’t at your old school now, so I expect you all to adjust accordingly…But, moving on and onto lighter topics, the school captain asked me for a chance to address you all and make his own introductions to the new transfers….” Stepping back, Liam took a few paces back to a folding chair and took a seat on it as a young man stepped up to the podium, clearing his throat before speaking…. Ooc: Yes, I know, I used my own name, but I figured it’d be a bit of fun to mess with you guys….Besides, enough people have said that me being the principal is a bad omen, so I decided to make it more literal

Post by Darren Blayne on Dec 26, 2006 5:13:25 GMT 1
Darren cleared his throat, looking down at the clipboard he was carrying, reading over it a moment before shifting his cool green eyes out across the congregation, scanning them all, Hircinian and Varronite alike. As his eyes crossed over the relatively small group of ex-Varron students, however, his eyes seemed to ice over a bit more. It was no secret, to the Hircine students, at least, that Darren had heard enough rumors about these students, both from Principal Liam, and from his own sources as well. He knew not only what they had done in the past, but to some extent, just what they were capable of as well. Deep down, Darren Blayne feared that if anyone would be the ones to disrupt the work he'd done for this school, it would be these students, who seemed to be trailed by everpresent Chaos, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake.
These students had done horrible things to get put in Varron, as Varron was once the only school that would accept most of them. Yet, now, here they all were, the worst of the worst, darkening Hircine's halls with their innate sense of disorder.
If Darren wasn't one for composure, especially in such public of forums, he would have spat.
Setting the clipboard down onto the podium, Darren brought his lips closer to the microphone on the stand, and began his own prepared speech.
"Greetings, one and all, Hircinians and.. Varronites alike." The pause was small and subtle, and to all but the absolute most practiced ears, or ones that knew already of Darren's distaste, would be inaudible, or merely attributed to a slip of memory.
"If you do not know me, you will soon enough, so I'll simplify things, and introduce myself now. As Mr. MacMillan said," Darren said, using the honorific for his principal rather than the more familiar 'Liam' he had requested to have been called by, "I am your School Captain, Darren Blayne. Most of you already know this, being local Hircine High students, but to our new arrivals, I suggest you put a name to the face as soon as possible."
The boy spoke in a quiet, yet commanding tone, short, sharp, and succinct. It seemed that he never bothered to say much more than was necessary, and often let his eyes do the talking for him. Right now, his eyes were cool, expressing the ease at which he took to addressing the entire student body.
"To all of our Hircine regulars: You may leave as soon as you like, granted you do not cause a ruckus in doing so. The rest of my words are directed solely towards our transfers. Feel free to stay and listen, regardless."
As some of the Hircine students started to shuffle, deciding that whatever importance they felt their lived had superceded the words of their captain, Darren's glance shot furtively towards a certain student in the crowd. Like the pause from earlier, it was quick and hardly noticable by any but the most keen of perception. Standing in the crowd like any other Hircine student was Darren's most trusted Pillar, Tiao Shen. He would be enforcing the consequences for 'causing a ruckus' in leaving. Of course, like so many of Darren's orders, that was only half of what Tiao was doing.
The other half was to keep an eye on all the Varron kids, and ensure they did not try to sneak out as well. What Darren was about to say needed to be heard by each and every one of them.
"Varron Transfers," be began anew, speaking with just the tiniest bit more venom in his voice, "I'll start with an obvious fact, albeit one you have no choice but to understand: This is not Varron Academy. What passed for acceptable there will garner nothing of the sort here. As Mr. MacMillan said, there is no need to bother learning all of the rules, as they can all be consolidated into what I am about to tell you."
Darren paused, mostly for dramatic effect, but also to ensure that every Varronite face, regardless of how they seemed to feel about it, was looking up towards him.
"When I speak, you are to listen. When I ask something of you, you are to oblige. When I command something of you, nothing else shall be done by your hand until my command has been seen through. If we are clear on this, then we shall have no problems. That is all."

Every hallway was dead silent. They lacked dirt, they lacked garbage. The paint was like new, the doors shiny and glossed over with a protective, long lasting coat to protect against common erosion. The only thing that bounced off the walls were the footsteps of a graduate. His long white coat was placed over his shoulders, his arms out of the sleeves, and in his dress pant pockets. He was white, on white, on blond, and he walked with an errie sense of excellence. A student exited a classroom, hallpass in hand, and turned to look at Shamino. Shamino stopped, stared back. They had a contest of sorts for several seconds before the student wished not to make any trouble, and kept going. Today however, was the inaugeration of Varron students. A school Shamino had tried to get away from months ago. "Just where is the auditorium." He said softly to himself.
Stopping at a crossroads- a hallway that went left, right, and forward, he promptly made a left towards a group of students leaving the auditorium. "Excuse me." Shamino said, and the group instantly halted. "The Auditorium, where is it?" "The balcony entrance is to your left right there." A young man pointed at a door. "But the main entrance is downstairs, same place." No hostility, no ill spoken words. Not a hint of attitude... Refreshing. "Thank you."
They left.
Shamino felt the lock against the door, and indeed- the balcony was locked and being unused. He removed a small, generic, black box from his pocket, and pressed a button. A feeler and tumbler. After several seconds of fiddling, the door opened. School locks were never the office or night-club quality that Shamino was used to dealing with. He opened the door as it creaked open, and promptly closed it as such.
It was a small walk up an aisle before he found himself staring at countless unused seats, all of them facing the stage where even now the School Captain was finishing up his speech. Shamino stepped down to the very first, and most noticeable aisle. He stood front row, center, and against the black seats he wore his white on white outfit. His hands in his pockets once again, he stared down at the Captain, musing quietly as he took in the young man's features and voice. At this point, he didn't care if he stuck out like a sore thumb or wasn't noticed at all. Right now, it was observation time.

Post by Kira Karyuudo, Hikari on Dec 26, 2006 6:47:49 GMT 1
'Day one.' Kira thought, blissfully annoyed that she had to repeat another year of school, all because Varron had to close down. Needless to say, the Universities she had applied for now had to be put on hold for another year, something Kira was not very happy about. Her belongings had been placed in Taiku's place for the time being. She merely needed some place while the school could figure out where to put her and several other students, some from Varron, others from separate schools that had been transferred.
"Guess we can't really knock the school, it definitely looks good, huh, 'Kari?" Kira murmured to her friend, her eyes swivelling to her left to meet the slightly shorter girl's gaze.
Hikari could merely smirk, not quite as miffed as Kira was for having to repeat her last year. She was already counting on trying out for the soccer team here, and if she didn't get in, then she'd just continue to kick the ball around the field. It would also give her more time to spend with Kokaku, and she could only smile at the thought. "Mhm, definitely well-kept. Makes me wonder why on earth this school would want so many of the higher-ups in Varron here... Makes me wonder how much they took out of their pockets." Her last remark was more to herself than anything. That being said, and Kokaku still on her mind, she glanced about for a moment before blowing out a frustrated sigh.
Kira grinned quickly, catching the movement from the corner of her eye. She could nearly envy the smaller girl for having such a clear grip on the knowledge of who she liked - loved, really. This occurred as everyone was being seated, the Varron students murmuring and shifting amongst themselves. Some were nonchalant about the whole thing, others looking curious as Kira and Hikari were, and others were looking perhaps just a tad anxious - it was a completely new school, after all...and they were only human.
Soon, a hush quickly descended upon the students gathered there. Both girls shifted slightly to better see as they were back behind several students. The principle began to speak, and soon things were underway. For a moment as the students turned to look back at their group, Hikari turned to Kira once again. "Hey, d'ya know who you're holed up with yet, Kira? You know, if you're wanting or needing, you can always slink over to my dorm if you want."
Kira nodded gratefully, showing her teeth with a slight smile. "Yeah, I'll keep it in mind... Hope I'm not gonna be roomed up with a complete moron, though..."
Hikari giggled before falling silent again, the introduction of the School Captain capturing the keen attention of the Varron students, most for their own reasons. It was interesting how the guy held himself...he certainly seemed to be quite comfortable with his position. His commanding tone as he addressed the students seemed natural enough. However, after telling the Hircine students they could leave...and after quite a few did...his tone changed. Truth be told, Hikari and Kira weren't surprised at all. Varron had to be well-known now for its violence. Still, Hikari thought that despite his ability to hold their attention with his words, he was downright annoying.
Glancing over to Kira, finding she just looked her way as well, and Hikari could only whisper to her friend in a hushed manner: "You thinking that we should give this King what he's asking for..? What better way to show him our respect than..."
"Mhmm..." Kira murmured. Both girls shared a quick nod and a smirk before they pushed their way to the front of their crowd and stepped out several paces to give their noiseless reply to the Captain of Hircine. Their steps were well-matched, as were their movements.
"Left hand, hm?" Hikari nodded at Kira's question, and a soft count to three came. Almost perfectly matched, they slid into a deep bow, their left arms sweeping out in a graceful arc. However, their motions were clearly sarcastic - a wordless defiance to all that he said. How many other Varronites had copied their motion, they couldn't tell. They kept the pose for a good five to ten seconds before straightening regally, the corners of their mouths curling into similar smirks before they turned back, Kira giving a careless wave over her shoulder as they moved back amongst those from Varron.
'And what an interesting day it will be...' Kira concluded, sharing a soft giggle with her friend.

Post by Tiao Lei Shen on Dec 26, 2006 7:23:31 GMT 1
Tiao Lei Shen leaned against the back wall, right next to the entrance doors to the auditorium. It was a strategic placement, Darren would be able to give his speech with the overlook of the students. Tiao himself was able to see the back of every other students head, including the Varron section he rarely took his eyes from.
Darren began to speak of the simple rules they would have to follow. It wasn't anything farfetched, a simple do what you're told to keep everyone happy was not too much to ask for. To the surprise of Tiao, the first people to respond to this were two girls. He would of expected the larger men to yell and grumble about it, but not two little girls.
As they walked upwards, Tiao would already be in motion. He would of cut in from the side, his eyes glaring into the two as they stood up from their bow, his arms crossed atop his chest.
"Jokesters huh? You'd think in a city revolved around gang violence and arson the youth would of matured at an early age. But nope. Here you are, a bunch of dumb girls showing off for their friends." Tiao's gaze would go back and forth between the girls, a look of dissaproval and disgust on his face.
Before he could continue a larger man emerged from the crowd, wearing a Varron T-shirt a size too small for his build.
"Hey guy, were just having fun. You should-ACK!"
The mans voice would be cut off along with his wind as Tiao's right hand shot out incredibly quick, creating a tiger claw grip around the mans throat. It was much stronger than a regular choke between the twisting motion of the hand and the condition of Tiao's fingers. Keeping his gaze on the two girls Tiao would continue to speak.
"Don't. Interrupt. A Pillar." Tiao's eyes would become much harder, his gaze not faltering as the large man did his best to peel away his fingers, tears coming to his eyes as he was unable to do so. "You never interrupt myself or Darren again. Is that understood?" Before he gave anyone time to answer Tiao tossed the man into the crowd by his throat, a bruise already emerging around the man's trachea.
A quick glance over his shoulder showed nothing Tiao didn't already know. Darren hadn't changed position or facial expression. He knew Tiao would take care of things, and thats what he was doing.
"You two aren't funny, you aren't cute. Keep running around pulling your little pranks and running your mouth and you'll only get more people hurt. You aren't in Varron. We took you in to give you burnouts a second chance, don't blow it." Tiao warned, sharing his glance with all the other looks of the Varron students. "Grab your schedule and get to class."

Post by Kira Karyuudo, Hikari on Dec 26, 2006 7:51:05 GMT 1
If anything, it was Hikari that saw the approach of a Hircine student out of the two of the girls. Still, even as they were intercepted, they both stood still, neither trying to play off their actions with an 'I'm so sweet and innocent' act. They knew full-well what they'd done, and why they did it. Not all rebellions needed a verbal message to make it clear. He started to speak, and sure enough, one of the students of Varron was stupid enough to think they were just having fun. They were, in a sense, and yet they weren't as well. They were not jokesters, as this Pillar said they were...oh no, they were being quite serious about their action, however amusing it was underneath.
While Kira pursed her lips in exasperation, Hikari merely shook her head at the display before her. Both girls' attention were centered upon the student, Kira's eyes flickering more often than her friend's to the Varron transfer. However much both wanted to speak, they decided to set an example of not interrupting one of the pillars of the school. When he was finished, however, Hikari glanced to Kira, who was looking annoyed at his last words. Catching her arm in a light tug, Hikari merely shrugged.
"No, Kira, let the ignorant remain ignorant."
Kira nodded once, calming herself to a more manageable point. Breathing out a sigh, she tilted her head, a curious action from one who just took a sarcastic bow. "It was his own choice to step up, everyone else was smart enough to stay back and let us speak for our own actions. I just figured this was an easier way of showing our defiance than having the violence of Varron ripple and break this school out in riots as well. Take that as you wish, I'm in no mood to stick around any more. So, if you don't mind, I think I'll take your advice. Pardon me, but this is a rather large school, and I'm not the only one needing to get to class."
Her last words were accented with a careless sweep of her hand to her fellow Varron students, intent on leaving the auditorium on a mild note, at the very least. Hikari merely shook her head, letting that be all that was said on their part before they both moved on, the hushed murmurs of the Varron students as they talked amongst themselves creating a bit of background noise. Glancing around, however, Hikari watched this student that had came up to them, quite aware that people here didn't mess around either...if the display towards the one student who figured they had needed help was any indication.
Kira sighed. She'd been told why she'd been sent here, of course. She was allied with some of the most powerful students and people of Varron...and her potential ability to persuade could become a major problem. Kira snorted at the thought, rolling her eyes at the remembrance of it. So, she was separated from her mother and father again... Kira had managed to get them to stay in Varron, there was no need for them to move after their daughter when they'd gotten settled into their jobs a few months prior. Still, they would make their way to their respective classes with little more fuss.

Kurtz awoke, startled to consciousness by the exit of the mass of students getting up to exit after the speech had ended. He had slept through the majority, Darren long ago becoming to predictable to amuse him or benefit, and the gradual annoyance he had been to Darren over the years was gradually beginning to grow dull for him.
~I wonder what he said....oh, I know, "blah blah blah I'm in charge blah blah blah I'm the bestest"~
Kurtz was, by and far, the most rebellious of the pillars by far. He had accepted the position willingly for personal game, for freedom, only to discover by not resiting him the Liam had taken away any motivation to misbehave. That loss gave him respect from Kurtz, but that didn't translate into respect for his subordinates. Kurtz maintained his freedom just not by working for Liam, but also by being one of the schools strongest. He had copied a good deal of his moves straight from Darren while he was a freshman, and Darren knew. The only difference between the two was a lack of motivation and a distaste for responsibility for Kurtz, which was the only reason he wasn't up there giving the speech.
It was ironic that the two were forced to work together, despite their completely different personalities. The truth is, despite a unspoken rivalry, they had developed a mutual relationship over the years. Darren tried to restrict Kurtz to create his still, ordered school while Kurtz had his fun. Their constant efforts against each other is what kept them both so sharp, and why both of them would eventually stay on top with the new students here. Those who Darren just wouldn't outright crush, Kurtz would convince, and those who would assault Kurtz as a group were doomed to have his connections save him, despite his generally likable attitude.
Any who stood up to them one on one was doomed to fall under their respective kicks. Indeed, the only question that had really gone unanswered in recent years was whether Darren or Kurtz would come out on top if they thought. Kurtz held the opinion that he would, as though he lacked the urge to fight, Darren would have brought him in line long ago if Darren thought he could get away with it.
Kurtz stood up fro the auditorium floor, having enjoyed a rest on the aisles carpet floor. He surveyed the crowd, taking in the new faces....some of which he thought were pretty cute. He began to start scheming of the best way to get ahead in the game to come.
~Perhaps I should throw a party in a few weeks.....maybe a tournament or a poker thing....~

Post by Leon Loire on Dec 26, 2006 11:33:08 GMT 1
Let's be frank: being the new kid on the block is the worst social calamity to any kid - at least, that's how it seems when you're in that position.
In the position of Leon Loire at Hircine High, the thought of being completely unfamiliar with the new place was just as startling as it'd be to a five year old. Sitting there in a single auditorium fold-down-chair, surrounded by so many vaguely recognizable masks, the Senior-plus student could feel the tingling of his spine; here he was, a man who thought himself relatively influential, now yet again at the lowest ditch of the food chain. All those two years of work at Varron Academy were nothing now, just a small ash of memory dashed aside with the sputter of a warm fiery breeze. He was simply a name now, a past, a history.
As his fear had been in the old days, he wasn't in the present anymore, he wasn't a unique being; he was just a number, a warm body.
Forcing himself to lean back in the slightly cushioned chair, Leon felt a small trickle of perspiration ride down his temple. Realizing his nervousness was far more temperate then the mass heat of the crowd, Loire ran his two naked hands from his forehead and through his thick shaggy brown hair, the feel of wet flesh feeling like cold oil, his hair slightly looser than usual. Lowering his head to pant the tension from his lungs and escape any neighboring glances, Loire shook his skull a moment later and rubbed his eyes, trying to clear all distraction and keep focused on the matter at hand.
This was their new school, their new home, and if Leon still thought himself to be worth anything more than a simple number, then it was best he started working on regaining the respect he once held as soon as possible. Too much was at stake for all of them after all...
'Too much controversy, too much loss... goddamnit, so much, so fast!'
As Leon struggled to find ease, the aura of senseless noise was suddenly replaced by an eerie silence - the calm of obedience. It seemed the expected arrival was finally at their place, and looking up with the rest of the two thousand eyes, Leon Loire's own navy gaze caught sight of the distant shape of a wiser man, his outfit highly professional yet comfortable, commanding and dominating (yet rather uncomfortably, from Loire's eyes). From what Leon had heard and read, this particular was none other than their new oppressor: Principal Liam MacMillan.
'Great...'
Yet, while some may have been tempted to suddenly stand up and start acting rebellious from day one, Loire knew better; he was the worm in their world right now. If he wanted to gain power, he had to recognize where he stood, so that way, some day soon, he could find the ladder and start climbing.
Sitting back comfortably so that the speech of their overseer eased into his ears more reasonably without force, Loire followed as Macmillan spoke of the school's successes, applauded them with his momentary acceptance of their gloating, and then began his talks of the star attraction.
'I knew it.'
From the very start, Macmillan made clear targeting of the group's former school, most notably bringing all Hircine students to see these new transfers not as Human beings or fellow classmates, but rather as the outcasts he expected them to be. From the very start, MacMillan was setting a border: "You are in our domain; you are nothing. Learn your place, and perhaps you'll make good tools."
Feeling a scowl at the unwanted truth, Leon felt his hands gripping tightly on the handles of the chair. They were being used - clearly - but for what? What would a Principal need them for?
Either way, after the Principal had his speech of how the Varronites had best remember their place and all the rest of his necessary calls for reminded power, he soon called forth another person to speak. The School Captain.
'The hell? They have a Captain?'
Striking forward with an accurate presence and a commanding posture of his own to boot, fellow Senior Darren Blayne spoke forth, greeting his friends and children, and quickly granting his friends freedom to leave the auditorium so that he may have a private chat with the new arrival - therefore, the children. One thing just before the brief 'reminder' of their inferiority caught Leon's attention however.
'Mr. MacMillan, huh? This may just be me, but I find it interesting that while he asked us to call him Liam, his very own Captain calls him by a far more professional term... seriously, this Principal seems to have everyone on a leash!'
After his speech and scold, Darren went on to tell of the "Basic rule", something Leon found with perked ears. A possible resource to climb on perhaps?
'May hurt the ego, but hell, people have to do pride-paining things in order to gain the titles they wish. Let's see what information I can collect from simply playing along...'
And so the children were let loose to play in the big man's school; on the other hand, while his own Varronian fellows went off to their business in hopes of keeping a low profile, Leon Loire strode forward, his gloved hands quickly brushing his 'maned' collar.
'Sometimes it's good to have deceptive appearances. I may look a depressing fool, but it's pretty easy to tell from my face alone that attire never sells the whole deal...'
Excusing himself politely past the Hircine and Varron students both, Leon found himself stepping past Hikari Shinodai; with a quick nod to her, he slightly wished to stop and say hello, but with an upset Kira on her tracks...
For a moment Leon was tempted to stop and say hello to the woman he knew, yet he had a mission: to speak with the Captain himself.
'Man to man, former to current...'
So in answer, Leon decided it was better to simply nod to the girl, suspecting she wouldn't even notice him. Continuing down his path, Leon passed by a man with a blue-and-gold ball cap, and swiftly continued with his walk.
Reaching the edge of the auditorium, Leon quickly searched through the table of extra schedules offered to students who may have lost their school classrooms; Leon had his schedule and all, but suspecting the Captain would soon be stepping down from the podium and walking past the table itself, it would make the perfect excuse to take a moment of his time.
And so, Leon struck right.
'Perfect catch there, el Capi'tan!'
"Excuse me, um, Blayne, right?" Leon quickly asked in solemn modesty, holding the unnecessary schedule in his hand and looking to the Senior with honest request, "I'm sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you know a way I can find out more about the school. To be honest, I'm a bit thrown off from my old school's closing, and I'd honestly like to get working on easing into Hircine as soon as I can."
The question was simple, and perhaps a bit unexpected. After all, with his speech just made, and his intent to try and put down the Varronite rebelliousness, would a student conform to his expectations so quickly? "Perhaps he's from another school" was one possible procedure...
Or perhaps he'd see right through it.
All Leon could hope was that the guy had more Captainly attributes then a simple follower, and that whatever information he gained without pushing the envelope would help Leon with understanding Hircine's design.

Darren looked on with little amusement at the girls' sudden display of false allegiance. Clearly, there were just a few rebels without a cause, who saw themselves as being above the rules put forth at Hircine High. Darren knew that Tiao would deal with them, anyway, and paid them little heed. Much more interestingly, however, was the student who came up to the front, seemingly to specifically speak to the Captain himself. Darren stepped down from the podium, already with a sour taste in his mouth from the Varron students. If they had wished to get along at Hircine, if they had wished to be treated just like any other student at the school, then those two girls had clearly ruined it for the lot of them.
Darren had noticed this new one coming, and thus, was expecting him as he stepped down from the podium. At first glance, it would seem he was just another student, lost in the masses, looking to gain some direction in the form of schedules and maps that were for the taking on the auditorium stage. Darren's eyes, though needing glasses, were still keen, however, and he could tell that face even before he made his way to the stage.
Leon Loire, one of the most outspoken members of Varron Academy.
Darren looked the student up and down, listening quietly as he attempted to start up a little cover-phrase, hiding his true intent. Darren was no mind-reader, he had no idea what it was this one wanted, but he doubted what was spoken was entirely what was requested.
Not one to put up with doublespeak and deception, Darren spoke two simple words.
"Follow me."
Turning, Darren exited, stage right, to back behind the curtains, where no one could see the two. Certain Leon would follow, once he was behind the stage, Darren turned again to face the former Varronite, eyes set upon him as he spoke once more.
"Did you think I'd not know who you were, Loire? Of all the Varron students transferring, did you not think you would have some of the most pomp and circumstance about you? Considering the show your little friends," Darren spoke not knowing Kira, Hikari, and Leon's connection, but rather on a generality, considering all Varronites to be friends, as far as he was concerned, "pulled back there, I shouldn't even bother, but I'll give you this one chance: Is there something you truly wished to gain from coming to speak with me?"
Darren's voice was interrogating and carried within it the hint of distaste. The captain did not like being toyed with, especially when he was simply too smart to miss ploys such as this one.

It seemed not all of Varron Academy's records were lost after all, for as soon as Hircine's Captain took notice of Leon's modest question, a simple command of two words were spoken, and within thirty seconds, both were hidden away just twenty feet from their meeting place.
'Well, there's one piece of evidence: they're damn resourceful.'
"If you want to be blunt to me, then I'll be just as frank in response..." Leon quipped back after a few seconds of hesitation, a brief smirk riding across his face and then quickly disappearing as Blayne expected his questions, and Leon knew that if he slipped up now, there'd be hell to pay later.
"The fact is that I'm unsure of what to think. I lose my old school from the failures of others, and I'm suddenly invited to a school for a reason that makes no sense to any of us, and now we're here at last, expected to play nice and assimilate..."
Sighing for a minute with the realization that he was losing the focus necessary, Leon took a second to think, then continued, "I want to question if you yourself know why all of us were invited to this school, because honestly, I doubt it was just for graciousness. No one in their right mind takes in the 'Unwanted Ten' and do it out of the love of their heart. There must be something behind it, and of all people to know, I'd hope you would have an idea, considering you and the Principal work together on all this.
"I also wish to note - so just another moment of patience, and I promise you it'll be all over - that while some may be rebellious and some may be hostile, you must understand our circumstance. Varron tried to control us through the simplicity of The System, and it only made us tougher and more radical! Do you want to make the mistake that Varron Academy followed every day? As Captain, you know that at times, when a fight starts out, you have to show some force to end it. But don't rely on that System as your only resource. If you want us to become a part of this school, become members of Hircine someday, then you can't just keep on the same strategy, because we're not like you. We need more than threats and beatings, because we're tired of it. You'll need to be more creativie if you're to convince my fellows, yet if you just stay with the government's ways, then you'll have enemies, and dangerous ones at that.
"And don't think I'm only assuming you'll follow it, because after that authoritative speech you and Mr. MacMillan gave, I don't know what to think of your plans, so seeing that you recognize me, I thought I'd give fair warning, because we're more than scum. Far more."

Taj woke up with a huge grin on his face.
[Ahh it feels so good to have a bed again. Although I looks like it got smaller.]
Taj yawned and wiped the sleet out of his eye. He had gotten a good sleep. It was like he slept all the stress of being homeless and left it in his bed. He was in pure euphoria as he slowly turned his head observing his room. It was as if he had never seen it before. Unfortunately his euphoria was interuppted by the yelling of his mother, Lasoon.
"TAJIE get ready it's time for school."
A huge grin ran across Taj's face. He loved the first day of school. He had already picked his outfit out and proceeded to lay it out on his bed.
[Another new beginning.] He lifted up his new shirt and looked at it.
KAISER
That was the name tagged on the back of his T-Shirt.
"Hee hee hee, dope." Taj said speaking to himself.
He made his way toward the bathroom and took a long cold shower to wake himself up. When he got out he brushed his teeth and washed his face. He gave his signature full teeth smile into the mirror and went to his room to put his clothes on. After he put on his clothes he put on his signature white hat and made his way out the door.
"Later Ma, Assa la mulaka whatever Pops!"
As he was walking down the streets he noticed a bunch a girls looking at him, grinning, blushing, and giggling. He gave them a smile and kept it moving. There was too much on his mind to be worried about women. When he saw guys down the street either they got out of his way or said what's up. Around his parts he was the Kaiser, king of the area. They all knew Taj, and how well he could fight. His family never had to worry about his store getting held up or anything like that. He finally made his way to the bus stop, not really paying attention to his suroundings. When the bus came a huge smile came across his face. Along the bus was a HUGE graffiti tag that simply said, "Slum Village"
[The movement continues.] Taj quietly thought to himself as he got made his way toward the bus.
Two stops later he saw the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. Hircine here we come. He finally made his way toward the courtyard of the school. Already he was eye candy to the ladies and guys were walking up to him as if they knew him.
[Seems like I'm going to be quite popular hee hee hee.]
"It's time for orientation let's go man," said a student that Taj had met, and forgot his name already.
As Taj sat down it was if he saw two seperate schools. A group of kids sat on one side and a bunch of ominous looking kids sat on the other. Taj decided to stand, he didn't want to make the wrong decisions with seats. It was then where a tall well dressed man approached the center of the stage and made a speech, introducing that an entire new school transferred here. Varon academy. Apparently these guys were the enemies, or at least that's what it seemed like. It was then that he introduced the school Captain Darren Blayne.
[Hmmm...]
He began to scratch his chin as Darren spoke. It was clear who's side he was on.
It was then when he noticed the two female varronites clearly disrespecting a pillar.
Taj made his way toward the altercation and leaned onto a wall, simply saying.
"You know it's pretty rude to talk to a pillar of all people like your hot shit, as far as we are all concerned your guest that have already over stayed your welcome, do us all a favor and kick rocks will ya?"
Taj said that with an annoyed look on his face he then began to leave the auditorium, he heard enough anyway, it was time he went to his locker.

Despite Leon's rather long-windedness, the student had finally decided to be straight and to the point with the Captain, and thus, Darren granted him his time and tolerated his rapid-fire questions. The look in his eye as Leon spoke, however, indicated that there was still a hint of irritatedness left within him that was not going to be quelled so easily.
After all, of all the rabble-rousers within the halls of Varron, Darren's sources had pointed this one out to be one of the worst.
"I'll tell you not what you want to know, however, I will inform you of what you need to know," Darren hissed the word 'need' as he finally replied, once Leon's ranting was over and Darren was finally allowed a chance to speak.
"One. Lesser men would likely not be able to follow, much less remember, the myriad of information you deem necessary to impart upon me. Two. My business is kept to protection of this school, and adherence of the rules thereof. This involves information upon some of the more well-known students that are coming to my school. I do not need to know anything else, thus, I do not concern myself with it. Three. The reason your old school failed was likely because they were simply not good at what they did. Were there any teachers who preached the rules, and were also strong enough to enforce them? What about your school captain? My information, as scant as it may be, lists nothing about one, which causes me to wonder. You did not rebel against this so-called 'system', you rebelled against a weak mockery of what the reforms should be like. Take a walk around my campus, Leon," Darren intentionally used his name, letting the other student know his resources were not so limited, "talk to some of the students. Allow yourself to see what a school looks like when this 'system' is well-adhered to. Then ask yourself what you prefer."
Darren paused for a moment, watching the student for a reaction. Finally, he turned to face the steps that would take them down to the lower level, and the door leading out into the auditorium proper. Before leaving, however, he craned his neck, looking over his shoulder towards Leon once more.
"You seem fairly level-headed, despite your vaguely anarchistic approach to things. Your straight-forwardness was appreciated, however, you would do well to restrain some of your... classmates, lest their auctions cause more grief for the whole of you than any of you would wish to experience. I do not wish a war, Leon. I only want what's best for my student body..."
Darren paused once more, perhaps trying to find the best way of putting his final statement.
"Regardless its cost to yours."
With that, Darren turned his head back to face forward, and descended down the stairs, leaving Leon to follow or do as he would. As far as Darren was concerned, however, his little audience with one of Varron's leading students was over, if only for the time being.

‘This will hopefully clarify a lot of things…’
Kokaku had seated himself almost in front of the auditorium without taking note of who he was sitting next or near to. Most of the students around him seemed to be Hircine students as he recognized none of them. Glancing around the area however, he quickly noticed some familiar faces, Leon Loire being one of them. When he noticed his friend, he gave him a short nod which was returned before both turned their heads again. Sighing slowly, Kokaku noticed the people around him giving him angry and disgusting looks, as if he was some sort of disease. He paid no heed to it.
’I guess things will toughen up for the most of us… I have no idea why this school has taken us all in, rather than splitting the students up and dividing them across the country…’
It was than that the principle made his way forward onto the podium and welcomed everyone, clearly stating the Varron students as a different case. As he ‘urged’ his Hircine students to be friendly to the Varron students, Kokaku noticed several people around him sniffing, pulling up their noses while others just sat there and smirked, as if the principle had just made a good inside joke. Of course what followed was the request towards the Varron students, asking them to adjust their ways of living… or at least studying…
However, what did stand out was the sudden remark about a school captain. Rather than being skeptic about this, Kokaku was rather intrigued about the fact that this school actually maintained a school captain that was clearly allowed by the principle. This could mean there actually was a good situation between student and teacher at this school… perhaps, all of this would turn out for the best of the students. A new chance to finally graduate accordingly… a chance to study without fear, every person being equal to one another. However, the minute the school captain spoke, this ideal disappeared like snow for the sun. Being asked… no… being commanded to do the bidding of the school captain or take a beating. The school immediately turned less attractive.
To Kokaku’s unwanted surprise however, two of the persons dearest to him stood up and moved forward, walking past him towards the podium. Hikari and Kira…
’No… what the hell are you doing?’
Kokaku remained seated as his eyes followed the motions of one of his best friends and his lover… The moment the two bowed however, he slapped his forehead with his right hand and slowly shook his head. How could the two of them make a fuss so soon? They had only just learned about the fact that this school had a captain… who knows what else pops up! Angry mumbling came from the students around him, talking about how disrespectful these ‘Varronians’ were. However, the sudden movement of one of the students seemed like the perfect answer to Kokaku’s question. The student stopped a about ten feet away from Kokaku and addressed the two girl strictly.
Kokaku slowly got to his feet and moved towards the small corridor between all sets of chairs, the same corridor where the student was now facing Kira and Hikari, his back turned towards him. However, suddenly a Varron student stood up from the crowd and walked over towards the three people. He was however soon cut short by the Hircine student by a swift grab at the throat. After the apparent ‘pillar’ threw away the student, Kokaku’s hands slowly turned into fists as he realized both Kira and Hikari were in danger now. When he made another step forward however, his gaze crossed Hikari’s. Her eyes were pleading him to stay back and as she shook her head slightly, he relaxed his hands again, waiting to see what the pillar would do. When he told them to get their schedules, Kokaku sighed softly and was soon joined by the entire crowd who were starting to rise to their feet too. Making his way past the pillar, Kokaku followed the two girls until he had caught up with them.
“Been a while…” he whispered softly into their ears…

'Lesser men... bah! It seems he's more accepting of the world as it is now as I'd fear...'
Leon kept his arms tightly gripped to his chest, the dangle of his 'lion mane' collar now pressing close enough toward its wielder's neck that his own spine could feel its additional tingle. Standing there, his ears intent on the sound waves of Blayne's words, Leon Loire's navy eyes kept focus on Darren's response without much of a flinch or lash of emotion - at least physically. In truth, Leon had partly expected a Captain of all Hircine combatants to have so many resources, and from the start Leon knew he'd most likely lose the very first fight of words. Yet still, regardless of the fact that Loire could not counter due to his own lack of resources in response, he still felt the sting of disagreement, and the need to lash back.
'The point isn't the matter of efficiency or simple adolescent rebellion, it's the factor of the very symbol of this system. He follows it, he enforces it, he oppresses his fellow classmates in the name of it, and for what?! Just so we can have some vaunted peace? What happened to our individuality, our need for natural rights? All he seems to see is conformity, and the fastest way to it.'
Yet, Leon Loire knew he was the complete underdog in this situation; on the political ladder of Hircine High, Leon and the Varronites were holding desperately onto the lowest rung, and many seemed intent on staying there. More than likely, Leon would be one of the few of his classmates to try and rise up and continue the efforts of fighting 'The System.'
Of course, Leon knew nearly all of them would fight "oppression through force," but any half-wise student would see the inevitable doom of that strategy. Leon had to be smart about this; he had to be subtle.
He had to know his place, so that way he could climb from it.
Forcing himself to allow Darren to turn, Leon felt a small bit of doubt come from Darren's supposedly last notion. The idea of traversing the campus, speaking with the Hircine students, getting to know their psyche...
'Perhaps he's right, maybe it's just we were all simply in the worst place of all. After all, my old home, Public School #2337 wasn't like Varron by any means; perhaps Hircine is as peaceful as then?'
Yet... No! Leon would not allow his ideals to be swayed by such simple chatter; he was stronger than that. He knew the system was wrong, no matter where it stood. The only matter was to prove it...
And what seemed to be the most legitimate strategy at the moment was to follow Blayne's advice.
'To speak with the Hircine students... heh, not bad. Hell, it's better that fighting them, I'll say that.'
Still, as Leon was ready to watch Darren walk off, the thought of how the Captain must have seen him as some ignorant fool, the fellow Senior slowly stopped and turned his attention back. With a few simple sentences, a much more blunt yet easing notion was made, one that complimented Leon as someone Darren could come to respect, and the proof was his request to Leon to attempt in preventing bloodshed. Still, that final remark had to be replied to...
"Darren." Leon quickly spoke out, without hostility or edge, simply a sudden note of name to catch the attention of the listener, "Believe me when I say that war is not on my mind either; at least, not a war of bloodshed or combat. But no matter how successful you are as a Captain, no matter how well your Pillars are at keeping the peace, I still do not sway from my stance. I will continue to rebel against the System; if not through the bloodshed we both wish to prevent, then I'll gladly follow through with political means.
"The fact you serve the Principal is an issue with me; the fact that you oppress your own students when they break their rules disturbs me. So know this: I will fight the attacks of my fellow Varronites to my best, whether it be through fist or foot against them or your students. I'll do my best to keep this peace. But know that I will never accept what you stand for, and I will counter your laws through my words as best I can; of course, I'm sure that doesn't matter to you."
Leon merely stood there, staring back at Darren Blayne's standing form - whether he still had his back turned, or had glanced back at him did not matter. For a moment Leon felt the inevitable knowledge that Blayne would react, but considering he had begun his walk away, and Leon had business of his own, Leon knew that continuing this argument was pointless.
Raising his hand up in a peaceful gesture, Leon nodded, "Of course, while I'm sure you'd like to speak back - as much as you deserve to - I can tell when a conversation is over. You have business - as do I. Therefore, if you have any counters Captain, feel free to think on them so your blade is sharper, and allow me the same courtesy if you can. I need to go catch up on your advice, considering you had me by the throat in terms of knowledge just a few minutes ago."
With a bit of a humored smirk on his lips, Leon nodded again toward the man; there were no hostile feelings toward the Captain from Loire, considering there was no reason - and the fact that Leon had once held a similar title - yet he could not help but sense the fear of losing that innocent stance someday.
"Either way, I take my leave; have a good first day Darren." and with a nod, Leon started to stroll off, finding his feet jump from the platform, and land comfortably on the carpeted floor below.
But Leon wasn't thinking of the future or past, he could only think of one simple thing.
'Shit...'
Gritting his teeth a bit behind his mouth, Leon began to slowly walk up the path toward the exit, taking a quick glance at his schedule; it was nearly identical to his Varron Academy design, with AP United States history as his first course.
'Makes me wonder if they actually lost our records...'
Stepping past a Junior student and noting a triangle of familiar faces, Leon couldn't help but smile a bit, yet soon found a frown slowly inching downward.
'Don't forget Leon, you've got business to attend to; classes, then some checking into the school itself at fourth period.'
Walking up behind the male of the three and lightly punching his left shoulder, Leon pulled up a slightly fake smirk across his cheeks and greeted, "Well guys, glad to see you were all chosen as the 'Unwelcome Ten' as well, eh? How are you guys? I haven't seen you since... well, the hospital in Varron actually."

"That was a sure-fire way to make ourselves popular on the first day, huh..?" Hikari questioned dryly to Kira, who couldn't help but chuckle and shrug helplessly.
"Seems like it, Kari." Kira responded in turn, glancing down at her papers.
Hikari sighed. She hadn't seen Kokaku since he'd been in the hospital. Sure, there had been a few conversations by phone, but that had been about it. She had yet to see him here at the school. 'He would have been transferred here too, right..?' To cover up her suddenly distressed frame of mind, the small young woman nudged Kira lightly on her shoulder.
"Hey, Kira... Got any free time this semester?" She questioned, keeping her voice light.
"Mhm, fourth period, it looks like. You?" Came the reply, relaxed and thoughtful.
"Ah..." Hikari murmured, finally putting her gaze to the paper in her hands. "Looks like I'm with you on that."
She was, of course, completely unaware that the object her thoughts were still circling around was stalking up behind them. "Been a while..." came the soft whisper, causing Hikari to start, turning incredulous but obviously happy eyes onto him.
"Ko!" Kira grinned, slipping an arm quickly around her friend in a light squeeze before sliding away to let Hikari have her turn. She turned, walking backwards as she studied him with a teasing smile. "Looks like you're getting better with your cracks and bruises, kiddo."
Looping an arm around his back, Hikari grinned quickly at her friend, the mask she'd put up to cover her sadness before dissolving as it disappeared, an easy smile upon the small girl's face. "Glad you're here, cowboy. No more trying to ride a girl off into the sunset amidst gunfire now, y'hear?" Hikari joked, slipping her arm just a little tighter around him, mindful that he'd still be rather sore.
Kira, being turned around at the time, could see Leon as he came up, and a half-smirk appeared on her lips, before it slipped as she noted his frown that shifted into a smirk, though it didn't seem genuine. Turning back, she slowed and slide beside him, putting him next to Ko.
"Chosen, Leon?" Hikari asked, peering around Kokaku with a laugh. "You mean you totally missed our little show? That, somehow, I doubt...on that matter, anyway, you appeared to have a nice little chat with the school captain after. Got some digging to do, I guess?"
(( OOC: I know it's short. I'm sorry. xX; I just felt I should put something up, considering I've been making you guys wait. ))

*Unlike some of the students, I prefer the back of the auditorium. I could see the acts of all that decided to sit in front of me. Including Kokaku who always liked to be in the front lines it seems. Seeing Hikari and Kira move forward made me wonder if that is where Kokaku learned how to get himself in so much trouble in the past. Or perhaps it was the other way around.
The stares from the ignorant was getting annoying. Some were scared others hateful. Like they really knew what we have been through. But, people listening and believing what they are told without objection is nothing new. At the same time, this speech has already put opinions into the former Varron students. That could be blamed on the media and those who run this school. Though they were not completely false as well. I know my share of students that created and started the chaos that Varron was known for. It may be a slow process for some of us to be integrated with the other students.
The words of the school captain did not leave much. Seems he has his mind set that we are different from the others. Why else would someone make up the term 'Varronite'? Darren left a mix of thoughts in my head. He at least spoke as if knew what he wanted and with confidence. A captain with the support of the teachers, principal and, for the most part, the students. That is something Varron lacked. We had no captain or any sort of order at that school. Which led to the many disasters that I and other students have suffered. But, at the same time, he has a set opinion of Varron students. Would this system treat us equally or...? One way or another, he is the authority. He keeps the order here. Perhaps he is an ally for now though some of his statements make me regret thinking so. But, all I can do is observe how the students take this and how the captain and pillars react.
Which did not take long apparently as I watched one of the so called pillars throw a Varron student into the crowd. After being in Varron for so long, seeing such a thing does not shock me. But, that one pillar was one to look out for. I walk over to the fallen student, checking his throat. I already had a small idea what sort of training took to do that with just one hand. The student would be hurting and perhaps have trouble speaking. But, he should recover in time.
With the speeches over with, I slowly made my way out. My eyes would gaze across the crowd of Varron students. She said she would come and find me. Why am I even looking? It's not like I even know what she looks like. I sigh as I walk up behind Kokaku who was already with Hikari.*
"I was wondering if you were going to join in the trouble," I said softly, "And I thought you learned how to get into trouble all on your own, Kokaku."

“You know me, Tristram… I prefer to keep the trouble close to me where I can see it clearly… oh, and to be honest, I am troublesome from birth… I believe Hikari has learned hers from her friends…”
Grinning slightly, Kokaku removed his good arm which he had moved behind Hikari’s back so he could push her against him gently. His smile however soon disappeared from his gentle face as he looked slightly down upon his two female friends. His voice turned from casual to more serious before his eyes flickered towards Leon and back to his other friends.
“However, I had never expected such a bold move from you two… what had gotten into you? We don’t know this school nor the way they do things around here… you two could’ve gotten hurt… and before you tell me not to act so mature, did you two even consider what is at stake here? They’ve made it clear they’re not too happy with out attitude… if you two had gotten into a fight with one of those Hircine students, you know we would’ve helped you out… which could’ve led to a riot on our first day here…”
Kokaku knew he was being a little too harsh on his two friends, but he hadn’t come here to see another bloodbath… he had seen enough of those. Sighing slowly, he shook his head and moved towards the table at which they were handing out schedules. Fumbling the piece of paper and pushing it into his pocket his eyes turn back to Leon. He knew his friend might not openly speak of what he had just discussed with the Hircine High captain so Kokaku didn’t ask him directly. All he said was:
“Leon, can I have a word with you in about ten minutes? There are some things I need to discuss with you…”
Closing the circle he and his friends had created, Kokaku’s eyes swiftly move towards Hikari’s, a playful wink followed before he now turned towards Leaf who was obviously in a comical mood. Time to make him feel more at home…
“Hej Leaf, you know that girl you called… well, I believe that’s her…”
With a wry smile, Kokaku pointed towards a girl just outside the auditorium who was staring back at them. The moment Kokaku pointed at her, her hand went up and she waved at them, obviously calling Leaf over.
“Go for it, loverboy…”
