Alkaiser walks into the giant hall, once again taking in the vibe of the Hircine tournament. He strolled through the crowds, wondering if anyone will remember him from his semi-final birth the last time he competed, two tournaments ago.
Steve quietly enters the ring, feeling a surge of excitement rush through his body. He had been sleeping through school lately, so unlike the past time, he felt quite well rested and prepared for his first match. The name on the roster didn't ring any bells, so Steve just prepared as he normally would. He runs across the ring, making a mental note of how long it takes. Some stretching and a little shadow boxing gets Steve warmed up, and before long he's prepared for the bout. Now all that is needed is an opposing fighter.

OOC: Sorry for the short post. Got a shitload of homework.
Nathan had once again found himself in the tournament. However, this time it was held not by a pillar of Hircine. It was hosted by Odin Reeves, and judged by his peers.
Nathan stepped into the ring fully prepared and ready for action. He took the side opposite of his opponent. Not wanting to wait time, yet being cautious of his competitor, he merely nodded his head as a greeting, got into a stance with is left arm slightly bent and in front of his right, and motioned for them to charge.
"Sorry to be so rude, but we can't afford to waste our time."
The round had begun.

"Maybe you can't afford to waste time..." Steve mocks as he moves towards the center of the ring, "...but I've got all that I need to finish you."
Steve rolls his shoulders one last time as he walks into the center of the ring, sizing up his opponent. First impression would tell him that this is just another blonde pretty-boy who thinks he can throw a punch, but Alkaiser decides not to trust that instinct. Underestimation is the quickest road to defeat. He continues examining the figure in front of him. "A little shorter than me...about the same weight...looks slow. I'll work towards that."
Steve raises his guard and lowers his stance, edging in slightly towards his opponent's corner. He throws an inside leg kick and follows it up with a palm strike towards the head of the opposing fighter. The attacks are speedy, but nothing compared to what Steve can really do. If there's anything to this kid, he'll be able to dodge these attacks with little problem.

OOC: Just for later notice, I'm an inch taller than you and 2 pounds heavier.
Nathan's opponent walked towards him slowly for a lowered stance and a raised guard. Once he was within range, he sent an inside leg kick to get a quick hit. He then followed it up with a palm strike to the face. It was a simple, yet flexible attack. It was also the type that Nathan hated to have used against him. They were always easy to avoid, but generally would lead up to something much more threatening. 'Looks like I have another no nonsense fighter. I better be careful'.
To avoid the leg kick he motioned to the right and stepped inside slightly. It would be enough to get on the inside of the kick and away, so it would not harm him. Also the palm strike was now to his left and his opponent would have to bend his strike arm backwards for a grab, making it useless. Nathan then used the slight gap now created in his guard caused by the palm strike. He snapped his left arm to the left, still in defensive position. It would smack his knuckles into the side of his head. However, the sort distance and imperfect form of the attack would make it a moderate hit only, causing pain, but not staggering him considerably. However, keeping it in defensive position did stop Alkaiser's left arm from hitting him for a time, and protecting him from a break from a lock from the right.
After the hit, Nathan would leap back an instant later with considerable speed. It was flawed, but enough to be careful for now.
OOC: Sorry for assuming which side did what, but you didn't tell me.

(OOC: Whoops, my bad on the height thing. Let's just assume my character forgot to factor in how far away from him you're standing ) Nathan's dodge wasn't anything spectacular, but it had no need to be. A simple slide to the side did just fine. The block he used to stop Steve's palm strike ended up hitting himself in the head, doing minimal damage, but it was a start. It seemed that this opponent was determined to put up a tough defense no matter what the cost. Such knowledge was very useful for Steve. The opposing fighter had dodged out of his own corner to one side, meaning he was now up against the ropes. Steve's objective was simple; trap him there. Alkaiser hops back to put his opponent between himself and the side of the ring, and he immediately takes action to preserve the placement. Steve winds up his right arm as if to prepare for one haymaker of a punch, but only swings halfway. Hopefully while Nathan was concentrating on Steve's hands he would lose track of Steve's legs. While Barzahd was putting on his arm feint, his left knee would be swinging up at the midsection on Branigan's side. Using the fake meant that Steve couldn't follow his knee's momentum into the target, so the blow was quick and a bit weaker than it could have been. This served Steve's purposes pretty well however, as following the knee in might have meant letting Nathan away from the side. After the movement was executed, Steve would return to a defensive stance, watching to make sure his opponent didn't try to escape.

OOC: Ouch, this is probably the shortest post in the tournament. Only about two moves were made, but I think Alkaiser took it.

Shame on you both for posting little. In the end I'm goin to have to go with Alkaiser, but I could of seen this being one of the most even fights if it continued.
