Dressed in plain black pants and an army fatigue shirt, Victor stepped forward and surveyed his surroundings. It was a nice place for a tournament and he was confident in his abilities.
He surveyed his opponent, this Dante person. Tall and skinny with brown hair and a goofy looking grin on his face. Not what you would think of as a warrior, but Victor knew looks could be deceiving. The kid probably had some tricks up his sleeves. He would just have to see.
"Nice to meet you." Victor said, retaining his diplomatic attitude. "I look forward to a fun match."
He kept his stance neutral, but he was on guard. A neutral stance was more dangerous then any stance because your opponent wouldn't know what you would do and you could suddenly surprise him with anything.
Victor considered his options and decided to let Dante have the first move. May as well see what he had to offer before he really began to fight.

Dante stepped into the ring, wearing black sweat pants and a black t-shirt with no shoes whatsoever. Well, time to fight... Then he smiled, Showtime!
He saw his opponent enter the ring. He remebered that his name was Victor or something. The kid seemed serious about this when he seriously said, "Nice to meet you, I look forward to a fun match."
Dante chuckled, "No need to be so serious about this man," as Victor got into his stance. It seemed that he was expecting Dante to strike first. He rolled his eyes, "Why God, WHY do I always have to strike first..."
He calmed down, he always tried to not show your emotions during a fight, leave that for the pre-fight pleasantries. He hopped from foot to foot, keeping momentum, then he raced forward, trying a direct attack from the front. He tried to feint an elbow with Dante's right arm towards Victor's right side of the ribcage, then, while still moving his elbow, hitting Victor in the face with his left fist.
Let's see if this works... Dante thought calmly as he carried out the attack.

"No need to be serious about this man."
Dante's reply made Victor smirk, but that was about it. He was clearly taking the fight seriously, even though he didn't seem it. Interesting indeed.
"I do wonder what his style is." Victor thought as Dante began to move. "Nothing more fun then seeing what you're up against."
Dante began to hop on both of his feet, clearly a boxing technique. Victor wasn't exactly used to people who used boxing styles, but that made it even more fun. Now he would wait and see what Dante had in store for him.
Dante sprinted towards him and began to rear back for an elbow strike with his right arm, but he was too far away for the strike to actually connect. A feint. Interesting, but not very effective. He should have judged the distance first.
Not moving, Victor let the blow come and stop short. At the same time he saw Dante's left fist start to strike out at his face. He was leaving himself wide open.
Victor let out a small "Heh" and ducked while stepping forward with his right leg and rotating his body one hundred and eighty degrees so he was right next to Dante and facing the direction he was in. At the same time he swept out his left leg at Dante's unguarded legs intending to knock him to the ground by upsetting his balance. Once he was on the ground, Victor would smash his knee joint with a stomp kick using his left leg again to inflict heavy pain, or possibly crush the joint.

OOC: I'll just be assuming that you're on my left side because otherwise, you'd crash into my fist... if not just reverse some of the directions... This is why I rarely try to attack first unless necessary... Dante groaned mentally as Victor turned while ducking to dodge his fist, resulting with Victor, still ducking, being on Dante's left side. Since he's still ducking, that probably means he's going to try to sweep me... Dante calmly observed as before the attack he spread his legs out so his right leg was far away from his left. His prediction was acknowledged as Victor attempted to sweep Dante's leg. His legs spread apart, he pivoted on his right leg to Victor's left, causing him to basically be back to back with him. As he landed, without hesitation, he slightly turned his hips at a 90 degree angle while slightly shifting his feet while trying to slam his elbow down into Victor's back. Since Victor would be ducking, there would be really any way to dodge. He couldn't really step out of the way since there was no room, he also couldn't roll out of the way, because that would take too much time, and by then, Dante's elbow would have already connected. If Dante DID connect though, it would undoubtedly make Victor fall. If Victor fell, then Dante would attempt to slam his heels into Victor's abdominal area. So even if he was blocked, the sheer force of Dante's kick would probably at least knock the wind from out of him. If this connects, the fight will be majorly to my advantage... Dante thought, surprised, but still keeping his cool. He couldn't get too cocky...

Second OOC: Dante said I had permission from you to modify this since it was incorrect Odin. Hope this works better.
Dante clearly wasn't using the regular boxing forms if he fought like this. Evidently he used some other form. But that didn't matter now. What mattered was that he was about to slam to his elbow into his back. There was really no way to dodge or block the blow, so he'd have to settle for the next best thing.
Victor planted his right hand on the ground for leverage and twisted his back to the right, using the momentum from his crouch to turn the twist into a roll. His back still stuck out but the twisting motion partially knocked the blow away, reducing the damage to nothing but a slight tap. Victor couldn't relax yet because Dante was turning and lashing out with his foot at his middle region. Victor continued twisting until he was on his back then savagely rolled away as the blow came crashing down. He rolled again, scrambled on all fours and rose to his feet safely away from the blow.
"Not bad, but it's not enough." Victor thought to himself. "This is going to be fun."
Victor began to use the ginga to slowly rock back and forth while approaching Dante. As he drew close enough, he brought his left leg at Dante's rib cage with a Savate fouette kick with his left leg. The force of the kick was powerful enough to crush bones and even if Dante blocked it, his arm would be broken, or at least dislocated. Simply put, any sort of contact from the kick at all would cause incredible damage.
But that wasn't the end of it. Dante would probably use his weaving motions to dodge either away from or to the side to avoid the kick. If that happened Victor would either land with his kicking leg and slide towards him or pull his leg back and slide away from him depending on whether he slid away or towards him. Once that happened, Victor would throw a powerful jab with his left hand at him. Once he blocked or dodged the punch, Victor would lunge forward, seize him by the throat with the same arm and bite him in the sensitive area of the collar bone, a bad place to get bitten. He wouldn't just bite either. He would dig his teeth all the way in and tear open the flesh and muscle like a wolf.
The idea was not to try to predict Dante's moves, but to make his moves for him.

OOC: Glad you could modify alright! ;D And PS, last time someone tried to pull a Dracula in a tourney, it didn't work so well IC: Dante hit. But barely as Victor rolled away. Damn... Dante thought angrily as he tried to stomp down on Victor, only to find another failed attempt. Victor rolled away, and scrambled up. He gained momentum for a while, then rushed forward and tried to kick Dante's ribcage with his left leg. (Dante's right) Dante smirked the slightest bit. This time, he was going to preform a more... unexpected move... He shifted to the right the slightest bit while ducking, then rushed forward UNDERNEATH Victor's leg. There, he would try to grab his leg and pull him. It would make him lose his balance and most likely fall. And Dante was too far for Victor to punch, and Victor couldn't pull his leg back without it running into Dante. If Victor got off balance, there wouldn't be much stopping Dante from rushing his left elbow into Victor's chest, which would probably, if not knock him unconcious, would knock the wind out of him, which would give Dante the further freedom of giving Victor an uppercut with his right hand, finishing the fight. Let's see how he gets out of this one...

"Dodging under my leg?" Victor thought. "Interesting, but not very effective."
Dante was using another fancy technique, but he was ready. Dante was making a horrible mistake getting close to him like this. Even though he was going for his leg, he was only getting himself into danger.
Smirking, Victor let Dante tackle him and knock him over.
Dante immediately began to climb over him in an attempt to elbow him in the chest and Victor took his opportunity just as the boy got within range. Laughing in his head, Victor leaned his upper body upwards and shot out both of his palms as Dante reared back to strike.
The force of the attempted elbow strike would carry Dante face first and neck first into Victor's palms. The first strike with his left hand would palm strike Dante in the face and break his nose. From there, Victor would turn the strike into a claw and rip open the boy's face.
The second strike, aimed at Dante's neck, would strike right into his windpipe and make it hard for him to breathe as well as inflict heavy pain.
The beauty of this subtle technique lay in the fact that not only was Dante too close to dodge or block, but his attempt at an elbow attack would carry him right into the simultaneous strikes to inflict even more damage. And even if he could get his elbow out, that would be struck instead and the double strikes would shatter the bone there.

Dante smirked as Victor attempted to strike him with both his palms towards both Dante's face and his neck. Wow... Dante thought nonchalantly, this guy can't be too bright...
See, Victor's attacks wouldn't even have HALF of the effect that Victor probably thought. First of all, Dante was still holding Victor's leg from under him, which would extremely decrease the momentum of all of the attacks. The second reason was that Victor was still being knocked back, which would also decrease his momentum.
Dante smirked, as he unfolded his elbow so he could block both the strikes with little to no effort.
Then, Dante pulled back his free arm, other arm still grabbing Victor's leg, and attempted to punch Victor right in the face, which would make the fight in Dante's favor if successful.
Hopefully, this time my attack'll work... Dante thought hopefully, but still staying calm. I've faced a lot better in the past, I think I can beat him... He continued, images of Tiao flashing in his mind.
Then he tried to clear his mind and stay intent on the fight, he couldn't get too cocky... he could never get too cocky...

The blows hadn't worked due to the distance between them and the position of his leg, but now Victor was ready to stop holding back a little. Faust was already launching a punch at his face, but now he was in perfect position for the close quarter combat system to take effect.
"He doesn't know those strikes were never meant to take effect. I just wanted to get rid of his elbow." Victor thought.
As the punch came down, Victor seized Dante's wrist with his right hand in a pinching grip and pushed it towards his chest while simultaneously using his right arm to seize Dante's elbow, keeping his thumb outside for maximum effect. Dante was in a horrible position now.
Victor quickly raised his right leg over Dante's left leg, then lined his other leg up with his opponent's back. Just as quickly as before, Victor began to use his hips to lift Dante over him as if to throw him. However that was not the end of it. Once Dante was in the air, he would roll to the right with him, come up inside of his guard and punch with a Dragon Punch into Dante's groin to do heavy damage. True, he could escape when he was in the air, but the grip on Dante's wrist and elbow would prevent that.
"You shouldn't have gotten in close with me, fool." Victor thought.

OOC: You ARE aware that I'm still grabbing your leg, right? And I know you'll hate me for doing this, but you can blame Alkaiser for this mean style (Preventing moves in your post by stopping them before they're preformed...) IC: When Dante was trying to punch Victor, he unexpectedely grabbed the wrist of Dante's hand that he was trying to punch with, then tried to grab his elbow. Is this guy stupid or something? Dante thought, while he was still holding on to Victor's leg and Victor was trying to push his arm towards his chest. I'm holding on to his freaking leg! He kind of has no freedom whatsoever while I'm doing this.He twisted his arm that was being grabbed onto, and wrenched it free since Victor would kind of be helpless in the situation. Then, Dante pulled Victor's leg while Victor was trying to put his free leg around Dante's, while Dante was still grabbing it. Wow, this kid is really something... Dante thought nonchalantly. The pull would definetely make Victor lose his balance, as Victor was trying to move his free leg. During his loss of balance, during which Victor REALLY wouldn't have the freedom to do anything, Dante would try to punch Victor with his free arm. If this doesn't work, this kid is probably superhuman... Dante thought nonchalantly as he carried out his attack, he's already lost his balance, so he can't really block or counter, and he has even less freedom since I'm still holding his leg...He held onto Victor's leg, making an even tighter grip. He won't be getting out of this hold anytime soon...

Okay so he had made a few mistakes in the fight. He knew what to do now. Time to stop acting stupid.
Dante's fist snapped out and popped him on the cheek. It was a fairly strong blow, but he had faced much worse. Now that Dante had gotten in a blow, it was time to repay the favor.
With a grin, Victor savagely twisted his trapped leg upwards with all of his strength while rotating his same leg slightly to the side. It came free from Dante's grip. With another burst of strength, Victor pushed himself backwards with his hands while yanking his legs out from under Dante, came into a crouch position and rolled out from under Dante to his right, keeping the distance fairly close.
"Not bad." Victor whispered. "But you'll need to be stronger if you want to grapple with me."
As Victor rolled to the right, he rotated his body so he was facing his opponent and lashed out with his right hand at Dante's left wrist. He snatched it and had already formulated a plan in his mind. He would stand up and twist Dante's wrist and arm up and behind his back and come in close to him. Once that happened he would deliver a close range punch to his spine with his left fist while biting at his neck, once again intending to tear open, only he'd be careful to miss the veins. Even if he wasn't holding back, Victor couldn't kill him.
Like Dante had done earlier with him, Victor would be too close for Dante to counter or dodge. However because his wrist was twisted behind him he wouldn't be able to come up with anything at all and he would be forced to leave leave his back door open to attacks. True, Dante could escape the wrist hold, but Victor's grip was like a steel manacle and there wasn't much chance of that happening.

OOC: Assuming you'll grab my wrist is kind of God Modding But, whatever... Dante smirked mentally as he finally connected with Victor for the second time. This fight is going well, Dante thought, not to get cocky. Of course...Then he saw Victor twist his way out of Dante's grip, then move into a crouching position on Dante's right. "Not bad, but you'll need to be stronger if you want to grapple with me." Dante rolled his eyes at this. Was this guy kidding or something? How many times has this guy even connected an attack with me? Zero. I really don't think that I need to be better to beat him. But I still can't underestimate this guy...Quickly, Victor tried to grab Dante's wrist. Dante shifted his feet so he was facing Victor while pulling his wrist back. While Victor's arm was outstretched and he was trying to get up now, that would leave Victor's midsection wide open. Dante tried to knee Victor's stomach. Since one arm was at it's side, and they were very close. Victor wouldn't have enough time to block with either arm. He also wouldn't have enough time to jump back, and if he tried to go to the side, Dante would at least nick him and knock the wind out of him. Even if Victor miraculously blocked with his free hand, it would still knock the wind out of him and get him out of balance. Then, Dante would elbow Victor's chest, probably knocking Victor down.

OOC: You may want to specify whether you are using a roundhouse elbow or a straight elbow next time. I'm just assuming this time that your going for a straight elbow to my character's chest.
As he began to get up, Dante tried to knee him in the stomach. Fair strategy, but not good enough. He was slippery though, Victor had to give him that.
As the knee came towards him, Victor stood up completely and curled himself forward while moving his back backwards so he was arched. The knee stopped just short of his stomach which was safely arched out of the way and Victor came back to a straight stance.
Seeing Dante's elbow come at him, Victor let go of Dante's wrist and rotated forward diagonally to the right (Dante's left) into his guard so that the elbow would miss entirely.
"Here it comes." Victor thought as he began a combination of two jabs to the ribs and a chasse kick to Dante's left knee joint.
OOC: Chasse is a side thrust kick.

Pmed by a very helpful source. Dante's comp troubles mean Victor goes on.
Finish up as usual.
