--- Before The Match, Dante's Apartment ---
Dante got and and whooped. Today was the second match of the tournament, and Dante felt cocky. It felt good to win. He remembered the crowd cheering when he won against Mayon, it felt so good. When the crowd was cheering for him, he felt more adrenaline rush through his veins than in the fight. It was just so amazing to know that everyone was watching him, watching him win...
He got up quickly out of bed and made a few, lazy kicks in the air for fun. Then ate breakfast. Nothing big. Well, nothing that would make him full anyways. Just some granola bars and a cup of sweetened iced tea. For some reason lately he has had the biggest addiction to iced tea. He then got dressed, this time in grey sweatpants again, but got a tighter shirt. A blue muscle shirt.
He got out of his apartment, and snuck gracefully past Rebecca's apartment, hoping not to wake her if she was asleep. Then he put a note on her door that he wrote earlier, since he never got the chance to say it before...
Thanks Rebecca, thanks a lot for supporting me. I needed it!
With love, Dante Williams
--- At the Tournament ---
Dante was glad and cocky outside of the building where the held the tournament, but once he got inside, he was emotionless and cold. Emotions got in the way when fighting, and he needed to be at his top when fighting.
He entered the ring when his name was heard, and he waited for the guy named Alkaiser to come. He remembered seeing Alkaiser earlier, he looked pretty good, but he also looked pretty young. Couldn't be younger than in his sophomore year...
He couldn't wait to see this guy, to see how strong he was. And to be challenged. The thing he anticipated the most was that, when he studied the tournament bracket, he saw that whoever won this match, got to fight the winner of the match of Taru, the small kid he met earlier with Jellar. against Odin Reeves, previous tournament champion.
That Taru's a nice kid but, hell, I think he'll lose to Odin Reeves... Dante though while waiting for his opponent to enter the ring.
Dante would fight... and WIN...

(OOC: For clarification, did you skip school? The second round starts right after school, so you couldn't have been at your apartment before the fight unless you did.)
The after-school crowds were buzzing with anticipation for the next round. This would prove to be the liveliest of the fights, as both participants had made it out of the first round virtually unharmed. An excited Steve Barzahd enters the basement of the gym, at first completely surprised as to the amount that had filed in. Barzahd sneaks through the crowd, checks in at the table to see which ring he is at, and proceeds straight there. It seems that he made it in just enough time. As he steps through the ropes, he sees his opponent for the afternoon...Dante Williams.
This fighter appeared to be standing, contemplating, and taking in the power of the crowd surrounding him, but Steve had other plans. He begins his stretch routine, making sure to never neglect a muscle. As he pulls at his various appendages, he takes in his first impression of his opponent. This kid was shorter and smaller than Alkaiser, same as the first match. He wore a somewhat goofy smile across his face, but eagerness was something Steve admired, realizing that it was a quality he himself strives to posses. Steve felt that the ring was a different size this time, so he darted across it as he had become used to, counting every second. "That's interesting," he thought to himself. He finishes this, and proceeds to hop around, keeping himself loose while looking at his opponent confidently.
"I promise you that this round will be much more costly than the first." Steve declares to his opponent, beginning a little trash talk as he likes to do. "You think you can slip away from my speed, Mr. Drunken Kung-Fu? I'll leave you seeing double." he quips, referring to the knowledge of his opponent gained from viewing the first fight.
The bell rings before the boy even gets the chance to discuss who goes first. Alkaiser darts across the ring, his eyes focused on his target up against the other side. "3.2 seconds..." he sighs, noticing that either the ring is a little bigger or he is a little sluggish at the moment. Although he leads with his left shoulder, Alkaiser always uses the first attack as a feint, and at these speeds it's hard to figure out in time. As he arrives at his target, his shoulders turn and square off. Alkaiser uses his right hand to lunge at the throat of his unsuspecting opponent, his left fist now curled in a fist next to his torso.

OOC: Woops, oh well, let's say I skipped school to train and rest...
His opponent finally entered the ring... Alkaiser. Dante smiled at Al as he started talking, A little confident, aren't we? Dante thought as he listened.
"I promise you that this round will be much more costly than the first." Alkaiser said loudly. Cute, this kid thought that he could beat Dante. "You think you can slip away from my speed, Mr. Drunken Kung-Fu? I'll leave you seeing double."
Dante's eyes fluttered open, then he remembered that Alkaiser had seen him fight Mayon. Dante grinned, "Hey, a pun. How cute..."
He shook his head, then got back into his emotionless fighting mode. The bell rang, and before they had any time to say anything, Alkaiser was already ready to fight.
Alkaiser had sped towards Dante, thrusting his right hand to lunge at Dante's neck, and his left hand, now a fist, was coming towards Dante's torso. Alkaiser would probably be considered "fast" to most, but Dante knew that he could greatly beat Al's speed. After all, with his smallish stature, Dante's strong point definitely wasn't raw strength.
An easy dodge... Dante thought, then he loosely dodged to his left (Alkaiser's right) and pivoted while ducking slightly to evade Al's throat attack. Then, when Dante was slightly behind Alkaiser, so he couldn't try anything, Dante threw his elbow down at Alkaiser's very vulnerable back, hoping to slam it there and greatly damage Al.
If Alkaiser turned around or pivoted in any way, making it more difficult for Dante to hit Alkaiser's back or making Dante vulnerable for a counter-attack, then Dante would step forward to Alkaiser and knee him in the stomach.
"Nice try kid," Dante said calmly while carrying out the attack, "but... you're slow..."

The first exchange came quickly, a throat lunge followed by a quick dodge. Alkaiser, with his body extended, sees Dante slip slightly under the attack and to Steve's right side, exactly where he wanted him. Williams tries to get around to the backside of the agressing fighter, but Barzahd had wanted this outcome from his first move.
With his shoulders square and his left fist curled by his side, Steve's weight was mostly on his left foot. "I wont let you!" he called, seeing the smaller fighter try to escape. His body motion combined with the outstretched right side allowed for him to send his right knee barreling forward like an arrow forcefully discharged from a tense bow. As Dante tried to circle his body, Alkaiser's leg would come fast, backing him again towards the side of the ring with very little room to maneuver in. With the speed of Dante's dodge, a change in direction was out of the question.
"And you're not smart enough." Steve quips back at the smaller fighter, who seems to have gotten cocky and started talking during his attempt. "You wont even get a chance to see my real speed."

"I wont let you!"
Dante looked at Alkaiser, confused, then he saw that his knee was coming right for Dante. Dante definitely couldn't dodge this attack, he was already going too fast, and didn't have enough momentum. Dante the only thing he couldn't currently think of at the moment.
"And you're not smart enough. You wont even get a chance to see my real speed." Dante sighed, this kid was still cocky.
He simply blocked Alkaiser's attack with his hands. A simple block. Dante did with Alkaiser, the same that he did to Mayon, he pushed it back, hopefully making Alkaiser lose his balance for a short amount of time.
Then Dante went back a little, Dante's hands stung a bit, but that was alright. He then sped out of the corner, and attempted to simply elbow Alkaiser in the back with Dante's right elbow. To protect his lower half slightly from a counter-attack, and to add some extra damage to Alkaiser, Dante also had his left knee going for Alkaiser's kidney.
If either of these attacks collided with Al, then it would hurt A LOT. Dante smiled, this kid was getting kind of obnoxious, it would be a lot of fun to take him down a notch.

Much to Steve's surprise, his kick was blocked...such a thing must've put quite a strain on his opponent's arms, considering the momentum he had behind the kick. Dante proceeds to push Alkaiser's leg back, which he quickly brings back down to the ground. Because most of his weight remained on his left foot, he was able to just swing his right leg back and down to the floor.
Dante drops back after his guard, only bringing himself further into the side of the ring. Barzahd witnesses Dante's second attempt to run away, quickly adjusting with his available weaponry. As he completes the arc to bring his leg back to the ground, he uses the circular motion to force his left fist out from it's side-curled position like a rocket fired from his hip. Alkaiser's shoulders square off, his right hand draws back into a fist at his side, and his opponent is pushed back towards the corner once again.
"Does he think I'm just gonna let him go?" Alkaiser wonders to himself, hoping this kid wasn't really that naive. He comes to the conclusion that ignorance like that should be painful, and makes it his personal plight to deliver.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, I was discussing Alkaiser's last move with him on MSN.
As Dante was about to get past Alkaiser to put in process his attack, he saw Alkaiser's left fist coming towards Dante in a circular motion.
Dante knew that since the attack was going in a circular motion, it would have a lot more force, but also, if the momentum was sudenelly cut off, then Alkaiser would lose his balance and give Dante the chance to get past him AND possibly an opening.
Dante pivoted, facing Alkaiser's fist rocketing towards him, and stuck his knee up, sort of in a kneeing position, but then Alkaiser's fist collided with Dante's knee. Dante knee crashed down to the ground, but that also helped him to get a headstart in getting past Alkaiser.
Once he was past Alkaiser. He shook his knee a little, it hurt, but Dante knew that his knee was harder, and it would hurt Alkaiser's fist a lot more.
Dante sped behind Alkaiser, and carried out his previous attack. Damn that kid's annoying, Dante thought darkly, I hope this hurts!

(OOC: Finally... ) The curled hand inside Steve's studded fighting gloves crashes against Dante's knee. A million thoughts run through the freshman fighter's mind, but the most important ones sound something like "That time I did some damage..." and "Thank god for these gloves." As the impact is made, Steve's middle three knuckles crack, loudly sounding off that they're being pushed too far. Alkaiser at first is almost sure he's broken something, but rejoices at the fact that his fist remains in tact. The metallic sting is surely quite tough on Dante's joint. While thinking these thoughts, Steve's opponent makes up ground. Dante whirls his way out of the corner and to Barzahd's back, a target he had been looking for all along. Going on the offensive with his first chance of the fight, Dante sends a right elbow and a left knee to do his bidding. Steve attempts to scramble forward out of range, but to no avail. As his hands plant down on the mat, Dante's knee catches him in the hip. Fortunately, this area is quite damage resistant, plus his attack power was greatly lessened by the fact that Williams employed two weapons at once. Now was Steve's chance for a counter attack. With his hands planted firmly on the mat, Steve uses a donkey kick as his selection for offense. Dante, standing on only one knee and still moving towards Barzahd, would not be able to dodge such a maneuver. He was walking right into it. Such a move used a great amount of force as well, and Dante only had one free arm to block with, considering he had sent his other out for an attack. Only a little damage could be prevented. Barzahd's eyes widen at the opportunity, as his feet close in towards Dante's exposed torso. Alkaiser thinks eager thoughts. "Alright, I let you out of your cage...but now it's bye bye birdie."

Dante's attack finally hit Alkaiser's hip, but it didn't do as much damage as he would have hoped, and as Alkaiser was on the ground, to Dante's surprise, Alkaiser attempted a donkey kick towards Dante's exposed torso.
"Alright, I let you out of your cage...but now it's bye bye birdie."
Dante was in a very vulnerable position, just his knee being up, and some of his body was throbbing from blocking Alkaiser's attacks earlier.
Dante didn't really do a smart thing, but it was the only thing he could really do without being competely in pain. He did the same thing that he did when he was fighting Pain Killer at the riot.
He sort of half-jumped/half-fell and luckily, when Alkaiser's legs wouldv'e come towards his torso, they just grazed the side of his ribs as he fell. But it still hurt, and made Dante spin slightly before he landed.
When he got on the ground he quickly scrambled up and sped as fast as he could towards Alkaiser, who was still on the ground, and attempted to jump and elbow his back while he was still on the ground.
"Please..." Dante muttered to Alkaiser, "Quit trying to be funny..."

As Dante's elbow drops towards Steve's back, he rolls toward the middle of the ring, escaping the attack by a good few seconds. The joint crashes into the floor, an impact that couldn't have felt very good. As Alkaiser finishes his roll, he sees Dante post-attack, and scrambles back to try and make something of the few second opening he had left.
Rushing up and gripping Dante by his exposed arm, he begins to attempt a takedown. By wrenching the wrist and the elbow that had just been smashed against the ground, Barzahd hopes to wrench his opponent down to the ground and apply one of his power locks. The arm would twist and pop slowly as more pressure is applied, and Williams would have no choice but to submit.
"This match is already over. Just give up, and I'll leave you your arm."
(OOC: Thanks for the good fight, Dante.)

Dante's elbow slammed to the ground as Alkaiser rolled away. It hurt. A lot. Dammit, Dante thought, well that'll heal later, just need to get Alkais-
Suddenely, Alkaiser got a hold of Dante's arm, gripping it. The pain he was feeling was throbbing throughout his entire body. It looked like Dante couldn't get out of this one, and if he kept this up then he would get a broken arm.
"This match is already over. Just give up, and I'll leave you your arm."
Dante sighed, nodded and yanked away his arm. He stood up, started to walk away, but not before turning around and saying, "Good fight kid. You're a good fighter, but don't try to be a comedian."
With that, he left the ring and saw the referee walk to Alkaiser and yell, "Winner: Alkaiser!" The crowd was roaring for Alkaiser. Dante sighed, he remembered when he won against Mayon only yesterday, and everyone was cheering for him like that.
Dante smiled, and he remembered who Alkaiser would be fighting in the semifinals: Previous tournament champion Odin Reeves.
Hell, maybe Alkaiser would win. Not likely in the least, but there was always a small chance...
