ooc: Rather than post a giant prelude in this thread, I posted it separately. here ya go. The entrance is detailed below. xinrpb1.proboards99.com/index.cgi?board=streets&action=display&thread=1176625929ic: With announcements that had got back to him regarding when the second round was due to start, he had been woken by Kira in good time...The rest had done wonders in comparison to how he would have felt by not sleeping, and though he had risen groggy he had felt infinitely refreshed in comparison to the night before. Standing, he'd pulled the coat he'd thrown on when he'd left the arena back on with a grunt, threading his left arm through the sleeve slowly. If nothing, it was able to move without bringing him practically to his knees. A good thing considering the upcoming fight. His shoulder, admittedly, was still in some pain. The tablets were helping with that at the least, and they would take the edge off of the rest of the pain for a couple more hours. Sweeping his hair back, he trudged through to the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror, shaking his head. He was a mess, but he'd looked worse. With a flick of his wrist, starting the cold tap, he ran the water until it was practically freezing, splashing it over his face as the cold shocked him more awake. 'That still stings like a fucker...'Glancing at his freshly cauterised skin under his eye, the wound Adam had opened up that refused to stop bleeding, he winced as it gave a sudden twinge of pain. It was going to be the one thing most needing protection. The skin might have been closed over, but a lucky hit would open it back up, and far worse than before, he wagered. However, this was not time to be dwelling over such matters, there was another fight to arrive for, and he had enough time to do one last thing on the way... -Roughly one hour later-The cab pulled up outside the gym, and as he flicked a couple of bills at him, he slipped out again, looking far more fresh and awake than he had done earlier. He'd taken a quick detour to buy a few things, fresh track pants, true to his word, as well as a couple of cans of Red Bull and a pack of gum...The energy drinks had long since been discarded, and the gum sat in his pocket, a piece being worked over thoroughly by his teeth. Wasting little time, he made his way inside and pushed through the crowd, making himself known to an official who pointed at one of the rings, directing him to his designated area for the match. Giving a quick nod, he approached it, pushing himself across the vinyl flooring and getting to his feet, taking a corner as he watched around for someone approaching him. His eyes snapped directly on one person in the crowd, and the red mist descended upon him...If this was, no, considering the direction he was moving in, and his attire, this HAD to be his opponent. 'I don't believe it...Is it really THAT simple to get a chance at him...?'As the taller fighter entered, he would say little as his eyes burned into him, watching every single movement he made closely before growling a single phrase, his fists tensing into tightly-knit balls as he spat the words through his teeth. "This is where you die, boy...."

Dean left the gym shortly after his first fight which ended extremely quickly with Dean only using a simple combo to knock his opponent out cold, deciding it wasn’t a wise idea to stick around due to all the unwanted attention he would most certainly have gained Dean left quickly and quietly back to his small apartment.
“Hey Dean, that was pretty quick wasn’t it?” Frank said in a surprised tone looking at Dean who wasn’t even out of breath. “Yeah… Turns out he just wasn’t ready, I’m gonna go back to sleep.” Dean slipped off his coat and went to walk into his room “You should do the same; you got a big day ahead of you.” With that Dean entered his room and went back to sleep.
{Day of the tournament}
Dean had slept and rested quite a bit since his last match so he was ready for a strange wakeup call, walking into the bathroom Dean turned on the cold water and splashed his face to make him a little more alert, quickly grabbing his coat before slipping out of his apartment and making his way out of the building he noticed a cab pull up outside and a man got out “Taiku… Looks like he made it.” Dean said as he walked closer to the gym.
Upon entering the gym Dean looked around for a few second before walking onward pushing people in his way out of it. Making himself known to an official he was pointed towards a one of the rings “Thanks.” Dean said as he walked closer to the ring. The closer he got the clearer the person became and then Dean saw him full on. Dean noticed the anger build up in Taiku and smiled inside ~Oh what a beautiful sight.~ Dean thought as he stared into Taiku’s eyes, quickly swiping his thumb across his nose and sniffed as Taiku spoke “This is where you die, boy….” Dean made an overacted shocked expression placing his hand over his wide open mouth “Oh my Taiku, such harsh words and we haven’t even began.” Dean chuckled after saying this then put on a more serious face before continuing “Oh yeah… How is little Karyuudo doing?” Dean thought this may anger him, not caring if it did or if it didn’t “I’ll let you go first… since I’m SUCH a nice guy and all.” Dean readied himself in a standard boxing stance waiting for Taiku. (right foot/hand forward.)

“Oh yeah… How is little Karyuudo doing?”
Baring his teeth at the statement, a visage of anger rushing over his face a moment, it quickly vanished as he simply returned a much more composed smirk at the Hand member in front of him. It would take better than that to distract him, hell, it would take more than this underling of Kvist to distract him. Fact as Taiku saw it, he was just a stepping stone to his boss.
"If that was your attempt to make me lose control, then you're as useless and weak as your boss. I'll give you a hand, I'll break you now so you can spend the hospital time thinking about how good it might be to leave The Hand..."
'Send him out of here on rollers, find out where Kvist hides, one step closer to the goal...'
Without paying much heed to the filth that would leave the taller mans lips, Taiku neared him with a mild tremor of excitement charging through his body. This couldn't have happened any more easily, and he made no qualms about his confidence in this match. His speed as he closed the last couple of feet would likely be a surprise to Dean, someone who had yet to see him fight, oddly enough. At the penultimate point of his final lunge, his body would have begun to move in with the intent of snapping out a single, quick jab to Deans chin. Not a move to cause damage, but one to spur on his lanky opponent to retaliate, open himself up for a much more painful attack.
ooc: Yeah, a simple move first. I'm not sure whereabouts in the ring you are, so I can't really do much else with it.

~Well… That got him going. ~ Dean thought as he remained in his stance, Taiku had calmed down and spoke by now; Dean had paid close attention to everything Taiku had done and said.
“Now, now Taiku… I don’t ever remember saying that I planned to stay with Kvist and his gang now did I?” Dean didn’t expect an answer but then realised something that worried him slightly. He had never seen him fight, he had heard about him yes, but then again hearing a seeing are very different.
But as predicted he opened up with a simple move, the jab came for Dean’s chin but Dean didn’t move and instead braced himself for impact. ~What was that! A love tap?~ Dean thought as the hit did a lot less damage than Dean thought it would, Dean took a chance and reacted. As the hit connected Dean would thrust his left fist forward aiming for a pretty much dead on hit towards Taiku’s lower jaw, the punch had a slight amount of force behind it making it so it would hurt but not go slowly.

ooc: Just because it was a simple jab does not mean that the hit was a 'love tap'. I assure you, Taiku will never throw a hit that wouldn't hurt, especially against you ^^
ic:
His fist would connect, apparently, impacting against Deans chin and jaw with a sudden connection. Regardless of how his opponent could withstand damage, Taiku had managed to bring down Adam Rydell in the last round. Dean was NOT going to be able to take that kind of punishment, and a punch to the chin would easily jolt his head back.
"You think that matters to me, kid? The fact is, you worked for Kvist, you killed in The Hands name, you took your own part in burning my livelihood to the ground...I'm not sure what you've heard of me, but forgiveness isn't one of my stronger points..."
He would speak as he reacted, the paper-thin veil of Deans punch coming at him easily seen through as he paid little attention to the younger mans face, but instead let his peripheral vision watch his movements, a careful attempt to get a foresight on his reactions. In doing so, Taiku brought his left foot up, shunting the sole towards Deans right (and nearest, I'm assuming) kneecap in the midst of the reaction, when his opponent would struggle to notice or stop it unless he was watching something other than the target of his punch.
The blow would serve two purposes, pushing Taiku away from Dean and out of the range of the blow as he leaned back from the weave, the second purpose? Well, if it struck, Dean would be limping around the ring for the rest of this fight, a lumbering practice dummy for the furious older male. How Taiku would relish that opportunity, to just land blow after blow, beat this young man until he sat on the very brink of his own death, then take from him one last thing....
'By the time this match is over, you will have seen hell...'

OOC: I can just feel the love coming from this thread.
IC:
“So your one of those people who can hold a grudge… Just when I thought we could be friends.” Dean said in a mocking tone as he lowered his head from the hit Taiku sent, catching sight of the kick that was coming towards his shin, Dean lifted up his right shin and moved it out of the way of Taiku foot, Taiku would more than likely have moved out the way before Dean could do anything, now standing with his left side forward Dean looked towards Taiku ~OK, Dean, time to fight.~ Dean thought as he readied himself for an attack. Jumping forward to close the gap between himself and Taiku, Dean whilst in hid air readied a punch with his left fist, if it were to connect it would hit Taiku’s right temple.
(sorry its short)

ooc: Love is relative. You're a nice guy and all, but because you're teamed with Kvist, pwnage must ensue. No prisoners and all that.
ic:
"No, you're quite mistaken. I don't hold grudges, I just wait for the opportune time to take revenge. Frankly, you just landed shit out of luck getting faced off with me here. Had the matches not gone this way, I'd probably have bypassed you and gone straight for him in due time. However..."
In the midst of speaking, his words almost nonchalant as he smirked. Deans leap at him was a fatal error, and it took but a simple step once to his left to throw Deans entire attack out of the line. In the process, however, he would spring forward himself. One thing Taiku would be able to pride himself on, especially in this fight, was the fact that he was able to keep his distance far more easily than he had before. Dean was lighter than Adam, easily, it was something very obvious to see, and as such, Taiku was much more comfortable with his next action.
Shifting on his left and forward foot, Taikus right leg would lunge out in a heavy kick directly at Deans midsection. With the turn, his body would tilt slightly into the force of the blow, leaving him out of the attempted punches range. At the same time, considering Deans current position in mid-air, he wouldn't be able to evade the blow, let alone have much chance of blocking it given the force of the kick.

Dean was in midair and Taiku had moved out the way, a minor setback. As Dean began to fall back to the ground he noticed Taiku move more and send a kick towards Dean Midsection, with no chance of dodging it Dean moved his arms to where the hit would connect to brace himself for it slightly. The hit connected and Dean was sent backwards hitting the ground with a loud thud.
Dean quickly sprung off the floor using his hand to push off, wasting no time Dean ran once more at Taiku and when he was close enough Dean hopped forward leaving only his left leg on the floor and sending the right foot towards Taikus kneecap, if it hit then Taiku would more than likely stumble backwards giving Dean enough time to moved forward once again and send a punch from his left hand towards Taikus jaw.

The problem with Deans landing was very simple. Falling backwards as he would, however quick he was able to get up, Taiku would be on him far quicker simply due to his current standing position. He wouldn't move, however, until he saw the larger man begin to push himself from the floor for the initial part of his spring. In doing so, he did not charge, nor did he stay in one place. Instead, Taiku advanced with a calm in his pace. A frightening thing to consider, given the ferocity he usually put into his efforts, but Dean was a member of the group that had done so many wrongs to him...
Dean was a Hand member, and Taiku would not allow that part of his mind that took over in a fight to have the pleasure of punishing him swiftly. He was keen to make the younger man suffer, to return upon him the pain felt by the people he had hurt. A pain that would begin, it would seem, as Dean seemed intent on trying to take out one of the smaller mans legs.
'You don't deserve to live...Neither do you deserve to die. You're something in the middle, some pathetic excuse of existance that needs to be dealt with.'
The few strides Dean would take to approach him were counted down by the smaller Asian, his eyes working almost in slow motion as he picked out the foot that would station itself on the ground...That right foot, as it rose, would see Taiku shift outside the intended target range with a tiny hop of his own, moving the least he could to limit his movement, before he ploughed forward. There was inevitably the risk of Deans right fist intercepting him, but that wouldn't matter. Taikus own right arm would remain free to deal with that, in the chance it became a problem.
Instead, Deans midsection, once again, would be the target of Taikus attack, this time in the form of his right knee as his left foot projected him towards Dean with his weight into the blow. This time, unlike the kick that had been more conspicuous for his opponent to intercept, the knee would be much quicker in arriving, and with the melee position Taiku had brought upon the two, there was more for his opponent to defend. His right fist, in a blow that carried with it a glaring smirk from the furious smaller man, would snap out at Deans chin, moreso, towards Deans upper and lower jaw, into his teeth. If it were at all possible, Taiku would shatter the younger mans jawbone with this punch, and if it were to hit, there would be no doubt that it would do just that.
Dean, in Taikus eyes, had two choices: Defend his face from a blow which would almost certainly end the fight if it landed, or defend his ribs from a heavy knee strike. Whilst not a match-ending blow, Taiku knew in the back of his mind, if he could bring Adam Rydell to his knees with a similar attack, it would have a much more....Enjoyable effect on his current opponent.

Dean had a tough jaw, but then again Taiku had one hell of a punch. Dean decided to hit it head on, using his right hand Dean’s knuckle collided with Taikus but with the added momentum Dean would have Taikus arm would most likely buckle backwards slightly, as for the knee, Dean tried his best to brace it with his left hand, stopping the force only slightly, the knee would make Deans feet hop off the floor slightly, but when he landed Dean would be on Taikus right side.
Dean would now be on Taikus right side and would send a simple punch using his left hand towards Taikus stomach followed immediately by a punch with his right arm to Taikus lower jaw.

Considering the force with which the two would collide, Deans body would be roughly halted by the two strikes Taiku threw, the punch somehow being deflected by Deans knuckles, an act that would in normal circumstances leave someone with broken bones for attempting to block that way. The knee was much more successful on the other hand, being led in, so to speak, by Deans left palm before crashing into his ribs with virtually all the force he had put into it before.
'Guy must be wearing a kevlar jacket to take a hit like that and keep standing...'
The tought was sour in his mind, and as his left foot touched ground, the two fighters momentums would have pushed Dean back, and due to the consequent stride forward in mid-air, so as to land on his left foot due to the right being used for attacking, Taikus body would have been forcibly turned in his landing. His opponent would not be at his side, and the two would be facing one another again, just with effectively swapped places.
Determined to put Dean on his back to deal a finishing blow in this fight, Taiku was willing to take a hit otherwise avoidable in this match. His right arm, following the punch, had remained high; again, it shot forward to grip the upper garment on Deans body, his fingers tightly coiling into the material as he grunted into the punch to his gut. His eyes narrowing at the force of the blow before he pushed through it, twisting his body to step inside the punch before lunging forward once again whilst at the same time dragging Dean toward him, his left knee this time would rocket forward and against Deans midsection, toward the right side of his ribcage. The punch to his jaw would either find itself striking his injured arm, much to his own intent despite the enhanced pain the blow would inflict, or have to make the decision, once again, between protecting his vital organs or his face.
As before, Taiku did not give Dean a simple choice of a single attack to avoid, and after the momentum needed from the combined drag and lunge Taiku would have gripped his shirt for, he would let go, the arm folding back before swinging the elbow up to strike Dean in the left side of his face.

Deans first punch connected with Taikus stomach, as Taikus fingers wrapped around Deans shirt Dean had little time to react before he was pulled close and a knee sent towards his midsection, Dean knew that after Taiku let go of his shirt he was going to fall down, the second punch Dean sent would connect also but not where it was intended, instead of hitting Taikus jaw it would hit his arm instead.
Taiku would let go of Dean and before he even began falling he was hit in the side of the face, this would do a great deal of damage to his jaw causing it to knock 1 or 2 teeth loose and Dean would fall to the right but as soon as he fell he would roll quickly out of Taikus reach.
(sorry its so late, been extreamly busy today)

ooc: Because I'm hungover and in a lousy mood, I'll not be writing much more than a simple finisher. Dean permitted me to KO him, so no comments folks.
ic:
The blow striking as Dean was knocked to the ground, the almost-satisfying crack of his jaw as he went down simply fuelled Taiku with one last massive burst of adrenaline...Whilst his opponent would indeed fall away from him, the smaller man would pursue him with a violent rage as he took one final leap into the air, landing the heel of his foot squarely onto Deans head and driving it against the hard floor of the ring with a sickening thud.
"Stay the fuck down!!"
His teeth almost bared as he pushed the foot off of his opponents head, he gave a cursory glance down at Dean before scoffing at the pitiful attempts of one of Kvists right-hand men. At the same time, he began to walk from the ring in silence, inwardly glad that his match had been less of a trial than his first fight. At least he would be able to get a little extra rest for the semi-finals, if nothing more. Though, he suspected if Dean were fighting, at least one of Kvists other little lackeys would be somewhere in the gym, watching the fight.
'Screw them. I just want to go and get some more rest...'
Slipping from the ring, his opponent unconcious on the floor of it, he unhooked his coat from the turnbuckle near him and left the gym without another word...
