Kurtz strolled down the halls, a happy man. Everything was working out for him at the moment, his most recent tournament bringing in a good deal of money...almost the best ever. He could easily filled the college fund now, and could enjoy his years of college in leisure and laziness. He now was sitting pretty for the rest of high-school. The only thing he had to do now was make his life easier in the present.
After much thought though, things were not looking to turn out that way. Varronites had dominated the tournament, proving his estimate that most varron students were looking for peace may be off. Things were calming down now though, due to a complete lack of organization on Varrons part. As far as Kurtz could see though, things would remain calm.
Things, however, were not going well on his own side either. The sheer amount of work being done by the Pillars kept them from communicating, and Kurtz had no idea what the others were up to. Indeed, things were fine unless someone rallied the Varronites...but then there would be trouble that the Pillar's couldn't handle. The school would be fine, the principal was more than able to simply break anyone who got past the Pillar's. If someone got past Kurtz though, life would become troublesome. He would always be safe from the school, he knew too much not to be....on the other hand, the school had records of his shady practices as well.
~Good thing I keep friends outside buisiness~
Kurtz continued down the hall, his mind still wondering about all the possibilities

"Hey you!"
*Chandra wouldn't shout, simply raise her voice a bit above the usual tone of speaking. She had recognized the guy from the tournaments, one of her 'friends' had been there and given her a good description of everything that had happened in it, a couple of pictures, or rather drawings actually, featured the guy she now was attempting to establish contact with, her legs shifted into a faster walk in order to catch up with him, hands gathered the cornrows in order to wrap a hair-band around them in order to get some control of the weaving weapons. Shifting her balance yet again as she got close to him, Chandra moved up on his side, her eyes revealing a sparkling best described as fascination, her hands would slide down to her belt, resting the thumb on the inside of the loose leather, lips parting as she would speak again*
"Hi-ya, you got a min? I got something i wanna chit-chat about with ya"
*Her head would nod slightly as her lips closed again, attempting to signal the privacy of the matter to the other student. One hand slided to the hair band, she flipped it over the hair another time in order to ensure that it didn't slide off. Chandra was dressed quite neatly for a change, a full dress which stumped by her ankles, opened on purpose on the left side, revealing most of the left leg, it was in a darker hue of red, not blood red, but darker than the usual party dress, it stopped on the middle of her chest, revealing just enough to make the onlooker wish for more, without being 'too' skimpy, a pair of click-on high heels, allowing her to easily remove the thin heel and front piece if the need would arise. A somewhat cheap white pearl necklace, she wasn't exactly rich, decorated her neck, giving a contrast to the dark hue of red*

Kurtz turned around and the sound of someone calling out, more out of instinct than actually reconizing it was directed at him. It apparantly was, and this woman started acting very familiar with him. He became anxious quickly, not sure what she wanted. Kurtz could have very well have met this woman and not remembered her. The last time that sort of situation happened there was a bit of a scene. He opted to smile and nod, a classic trick until he heard something to work with or remind him of this person.
Doing so, however, he found himself trapped into a inconciouslly agreeing to talk about something with her. Realizing he had to stick to his plan now, having gotten too deep, he decided follow her wherever she wanted to go.
"Sure, lead the way."

"Okay, great"
*Chandra would wave a hand towards the exit of the school, leading him outside and a bit to one of the sides, away from any prying eyes or walls with ears, settling on the side of a bench, she would retrieve a cigarette from the best storage place a female had to their disposition, placing it between her lips she would retrieve the lighter from her backpack before raising her look towards the other student, hands moving in a questioning gesture*
"May i?"
*Chandra didn't wait for the answer before she shifted backwards on the bench, allowing a leg to rest on the side on it as well, her free hand assuring that the dress didn't roll further up to the point that it would be more tartly than seductive, eyes rolled a round in order to check the other students present, for no more than a second or two, just to calm herself*
"Anyways, i wanna talk to you about the tournaments, i need a couple of details in the clear. My lack of social... contact in school leaves my knowledge of it quite wanting, i am a original Hircine by the way, just so that's out of the picture. But i'm kinda curious 'bout the tourney, perhaps i would feel like joining one sometime soon. So, what can ya tell me 'bout it? When, where, how, what the fighters get from it, the winner.... you?"
*She would speak in a controlled voice, friendly, but solid. Of course Chandra wouldn't scream out about it. Wise enough to make a wild guess that it was a secret from a lot of people present in the school, it wouldn't help her case if she exposed him to the wrong persons*

"No, you may not."
Kurtz's was, of course, referring to the ciggerette she was planning on smoking. Even if she thought they have something to talk about, Kurtz was still a school pillar. If a student smoked on campus, the only thing they were going to get was a broken jaw. Unlike, Tiao and Darren, he was the kind to give warning first to avoid violence. Another problem though was that he didn't care who it was if his warnings were ignored.
"Also, I have no idea what your talking about. I'm in many of the school organized tournaments, but I have never heard about any fighting tournaments. We don't allow that sort of violence around the school here.""
Kurtz was many things, but he wasn't foolish. His tournaments were 100% illegal, and the onl reason he was allowed to run them as openly as he did was because he had most of the judges in the district of it's jurisdiction in his pocket with the earnings. He didn't need people snooping around, and he didn't risk anything without porfit. He had no idea who this person was, no idea how he could profit by involving them, and certainly no guarantee that any information he gave was safe.
She was trying to make him feel comfortable, but Kurts was too good of a player to fall for amatuer methods. She wanted info for free.....and nothing from Kurtz is free.
"Now if you exscuse me, I do have some buisiness to attend to."
Kurtz turned and began to walk away. If he didn't feel comfortable in a bet, he simply didn't take it.

"i should've guessed that"
*The small smile on Chandra's lips would slowly fade away as he pulled the blank over her. He was good, no doubt about that, but two could play that game and Chandra was actually filling to pay for it this time, just... hopefully not with actual money, she shifted slightly, sighed and took two quick steps, moving to the edge of the comfortable zone yet again, a hand raised but she would regret in mid-action and lower it again. If he were a trained fighter or anything else of that kind, she would most likely just give a good excuse for a quick shot to make sure she didn't pester him anymore*
"Hey. wait a minute. At least you can lemme apologise for being wrong then"
*She stopped in her tracks, it would be a loosing battle for her if she continued following him, she needed to keep him in the same spot as well as herself if she were going to do this right, if he kept walking, it also showed something from his side, at least in Chandra's eyes, impoliteness, disrespect and most importantly that he was in the hurry to get away from her. With a bit of luck she could use that to her advantage if he just kept walking, Her head tilted slightly towards the left, a hand placing itself at her side, the other hanging relaxed. Legs would stand a good distance apart, relaxed of course. Anything else would be absurd. She blinked a couple of times and then continued she would pack the cigarette and lighter back to from where they came*

Kurtz stopped briefly, but he did not bother to turn around. He spoke up loud enough that, despite the fact he was speaking away from her, she could still hear him rather well.
"There's no need to apologize for ignorance. Your at a school after all, they are meant to fix that problem aren't they?"
Kurtz clearly intended for the question not to be answered, and didn't wait for her to eve have a chance before continuing. He was a Pillar, which meant he commended the situations he was in and expected to be listened to.
"Hypothetically speaking, if you weren't wrong, I probably wouldn't tell you anything anyway. You clearly playing a ploy, using polite speech and conceding quickly in an attempt to gain on my good side. If I refuse, I would seem like an arrogant snob. You also ordered me to stop in a pleading manner, so you were veiling your intent to command with the guise of spontaneity. This is just a bad ploy if I were involved in such activities."
At this point, Kurtz bothered to turn around and face her. His face, though the thing which sprouted from it's mouth were clearly demeaning, remained calm and partially cheery. It became clear that of what he spoke held no emotional value, it was simply a cold analysis of the situation.
"First off, I can see through such an amateur ploy. This means that not only would such a method could be easily counteracted if necessary, but could be turned against you quite readily. You are setting the tempo at the moment, but I can easily flip it around as I see your every move. So even if it works and I stay, you lose.
I could easily just as ignore you, as I know now that you'd be easy to deal with if necessary. If your methods weren't as black and white as they appear to me and I fell for them, I could be in trouble.
Finally, even if I hadn't bothered with any of the ways I just said, I could still walk away without fail. I'm a Pillar, I can accumulate all the negative opinions of myself as I want, it only serves to make my job easier. The more animosity I gain, the more likely I'm going to cause trouble makers to show themselves. Even if you manage to restrain any ire I gain, it doesn't matter, as I'm pretty much untouchable by the vast majority of people who attend this school. "
Kurtz smiled as his last ploy, showing that for once he wasn't simply being matter of fact, but actually took some opinion of what it was he was saying.
"In short, even if I were to seem like a self-centered, rude, arrogant pig, it is simply because I am a self-centered, rude, arrogant pig....hypothetically speaking of course"
Kurtz turned away again, hopefully halting any attempts to insult him with such pathetic attempts any further.
"I hope you find what your looking for, but I suggest you may want to try the methods that everyone else is using to get information. After all, any show has to be advertised somehow."
