(In my first couple of days here at this school, i found myself searching. I was searching for someone whom I had heard so much about in my time here. A name that could be heard coming from the mouths of students who thought they were not being heard. That name was Tiao Lei Shen. The only thing I had heard about him was how great his fighting ability was, and how he used to be a pillar at this school.
Those were the only two things i needed to hear for me to search for him. After two days of searching I decided to take a more up front aproach about it.)
Earlier today:
(Scribbling a note onto a piece of paper, I folded it up and continued searching through the halls)
"meet me at ten thirty tonight at tong moo martial arts dojo in the city"
(Was what the note read. Now I had to find my victim, the unsuspecting person who would unwillingly give this note to tiao. Walking through the halls I picked a person at random, some loner who was hanging out by his locker)
"hey, do you know tiao?"
(I asked him as I aproached. As the student meekly nodded his head I found myself smiling.)
"good, then you can give him this, and if he doesn't get this note, I will personaly make sure you never eat solid food again"
(As the student took the note and ran away in fear, I felt like a burden had been lifted from my shoulders, finally I was done searching. It may have been only a couple of days, but to me it felt like months.)
NOW:
(Sitting in the dojo I looked at the clock, ten fifteen, he would be here soon then The fun would begin.)

(OOC: Sorry for crappy post. Its late and I have to be up early, but I didn't want to keep you waiting until tomorrow.)
Tiao Lei Shen stared intently to the dry erase board. It was coming close to semester finals, and after missing some school he needed a high score to keep straight A's. He wasn't worried about it, as he always pulled it off in the past, which was why he didn't get overly irked when a note slid accross his desktop.
He read the challenge, pocketing the paper without much second thought. He'd been challenged before, and he would be challenged again. This would just be another one to add to the list. He turned his attention back to class, giving no outward sign that he had even recognized the words on the piece of paper.
Hours later Tiao walked outside, hesitating at his skateboard before walking to his car. It was hard to tell why, but the pillar was finding his interest in the sports wavering. With the recent events, his recreational activities and hobbies began to seem rather trivial. Instead, he drove directly to the Tong Moo Dojo, Mapquest doing wonders to help him find the assumed Korean, possibly Thai, school.
Tiao Lei Shen walked in, noticing a few familiar looking faces and more non familiar within. He glanced around, not knowing who made the challenge. After a few moments, Tiao grew impatient, speaking up and interrupting an ongoing session.
"Which one of you wanted to fight? Let's get this cliche style vs style battle over with. My kung fu is mightier than yours."

(As i watched every person who walked into the dojo, I found myself at a total loss. I had no idea what tiao looked like, but so far no one seemed like they would fit the bill. Then suddenly my waiting stopped.
"Which one of you wanted to fight? Let's get this cliche style vs style battle over with. My kung fu is mightier than yours."
Hearing these words I stood up and walked towards the man who had said them. So this was tiao lei shen. The man whom everyone at the school knew about.)
"that person would be me"
(standing just out of striking range I Bowed my head out of respect to him. i then brought my hands up in front of me in a traditional boxing stance. My left leg was forward just over shoulder length apart with my knees bent slightly. FInally the fun would begin)

As Yuri bowed his head, Tiao gave a nod in acknowledgement. He wasn't pretending to be on the same level of respect as Yuri, but he did give him some. After all, thats all most ever got from him. Some, not even a nod.
The stance screamed boxer, but since they were in a building of asian arts, it was easy to assume Muay Thai. That would be fine. Most people who studied Muay Thai lately consisted nothing more of watching the poor sport of MMA. What had started as a sport for different martial arts only managed to form its own poor one, with its pracitioners lacking any real discipline. This one would likely prove to be no different.
Without getting into stance first, Tiao's right hand lashed out in an open back hand to the nose. Tiao would tense his arm at the last moment, giving off more than enough force to smash the nose if left unhindered, or if Yuri wasn't quick enough to see it coming. Tiao's left hand remained at his side, completely relaxed and prepared despite the look it would give off.

(As his hand shot out in a backhanded strike for my face, I merely brought my right hand in front to block. I would block his strike by having the outside of my right wrist connect with the outside of his. As the wrists would make contact I would take a half step forward with my right foot and pivot my upper body to my right hard.
While my upper body would be turning to my right, my left arm would shoot out in a hook aimed for the right side of tiaos face. The tourque in my upper body would add the extra power to my attack that I would need to hopefuly beat tiao.
As much as i hoped, I knew that this type of an attack would not be winning me the fight, probably not even hitting him. That was why I kept my right hand up and close to my face with my elbow tucked to my side, ready for any type of counter he would throw at that side)

For the Northern Shoalin Tiger Form, much of its power derived from the quick twisting motion of the forearms.
Yuri acted as most people would, making Tiao's prediction correct. With a quick turn, Tiao's right hand twisted to grip the wrist of Yuri's blocking arm. Tiao slid back with his own right foot, acting in contrast to Yuri as he pulled sharply on the limb. With his opponents own step forward and torque, Tiao would likely cause Yuri to straigthen his arm and overstep himself, even if for just a moment.
It would be the only moment he'd need, however. Continuing the twist with his right hand as he moved, Tiao would turn Yuri's arm to face palm up. In one fluid motion, he'd grip the arm, pull back and twist, sending his relaxed left arm in an upwards palm strike, similiar to that of a boxer's uppercut. Instead of settling for a strike, however, the chinese pillar would strike the elbow joint of Yuri. The attack would hopefully snap the joint if all went as planned, but even if it wasn't a clean strike, the arm positiong would cause the attack to put stress on Yuri's shoulder joint if the elbow didn't break.
One way or another, that right arm was Tiao's now.

(As Tiao grabbed a hold of my wirst and twisted my arm I knew I was in trouble. From here he could easily break my arm, elbow, or dislocate my shoulder. There was only one real way for me to somewhat get out of tiaos hold. As my hand was twisted to have my palm face upwards. I would roll forward extending my left hand to somewhat soften the landing. the roll would have me land on my back with tiao still gripping my wrist. Due to the roll forward My arm would be straightened out back to normal, but the only problem was I would now be on my back while tiao would be standing and gripping my right wrist. Bringing my knees to my chest I would roll back onto my shoulder blades and shoot both legs out hard and up aiming to hopefully hit tiao in the chin and break his grip on my wirst. The roll forward put quite a bit of stress on my wrist from tiaos hold which caused a shooting pain to go through my arm. It was something I would have to try and ignore if i had any hope of beating this opponent, who had in one motion almost ended the fight) ooc: just PM if this doesn't work, I'm not one hundred percent sure lol, seemed like it could work

(OOC: To tell you the truth, I'm not sure myself. However, its melodramatic so I'll go with it. There won't be any harm to me, after all. ) Yuri's reaction to Tiao was a creative one, to say the least. He'd broken arms many a time, and no one had tried to roll out of it. It might have worked, it might not have--Tiao didn't know himself. What he did know was that he wasn't going to remain stagnant and find out. As Yuri rolled, Tiao would pivot on his right foot, keeping his grip around the wrist. He'd duck under Yuri's right arm, allowing it to twist back naturally. Before Yuri would fully turn to land on his back, Tiao would lift his let leg with the pivoting motion, raising his knee and pushing it down on Yuri's shoulder joint as he kneeled to the ground. Tiao tugged on the wrist as well, though as he rush for the takedown he might not have gotten the best technique. If he did, however, it would cause the shoulder to seperate, and dislocate the joint. At the same time as the joint pull, Tiao's left palm would still shoot out, but at a different target. As Yuri rolled, Tiao would palm him in the back of the head. Damaging in its own merit, the palm would remain on the skull, pushing straight down. The momentum would double and Yuri would approach the ground much faster than he anticipated, face planting into the ground.

ooc: god dam i did not expect for you to do that lol ic(As my roll seemed to get me out of harms way for the time being, I felt my wrist still being gripped harshly. Then things to a drastic step for the worse. As I felt a very sharp pain go through my shoulder I heard a loud pop as my right shoulder became dislocated. Gasping from the sudden rush of pain It was all I could do to keep myself from screaming out in pain. Gritting my teeth until it felt like they would crack I held the scream in. I would not let my opponent see me scream, There was too much pride on the line for that. Then suddenly as I was still trying to roll I felt a sharp pain to the back of my head as his palm connected with it. Feeling his hand still holding it My face hit the ground very hard. As my vision exploded into a blur of dots I could feel the blood roiling down from my now shattered nose. How, how could he have so easily beaten me, I didn't even hit him yet. I didn't now if he let go of my arm and my head after the hit to the ground but I didn't care. I felt something new building inside of me. A gut feeling of shame so deep that It felt I would never feel anything else but this. Then the shame was replaced by a unkindeled fury. This man had beaten me so easily, had stained my pride and had made it look all so easily.) "ARGHHHHH" (I screamed in rage as a red haze took over my vision. I didn't care how much My body was hurting, and the fact that my shoulder was dislocated and my nose was broken. Trying to rise from my stomach I still didn't know if he was holding me down, my whole body seemed to numb from the anger making it hard to tell if he was still on top of me. I had never been beaten like this, and I was going to make sure it never happened again. Pitching forward again as the pain shot through my wrecked nose and my mangled arm I gritted my teeth in anger) "you are a great fighter tiao, but heed my words when I say, next time you will be the one dishonored and shamed as I am laying here at your feet now" (I said through gritted teeth as I tried to rise again to no avail)

Pop.
Crunch.
The two sounds said it all to Tiao. They both let him know that Yuri wouldn't be able to fight after one, let alone both of the noises. Tiao continued to pressure to the back of the head, checking to make sure he was finished before letting go. Tiao kept ahold of the arm as well. There was no point of course, as Yuri wouldn't be able to move the arm, but it was a force of habit.
The man screamed, something that didn't surprise the pillar much. He'd caused men much larger than him to whimper like girls for years. As far as screams went, this one at least screeched with masculinity. Tiao let go of his head, relieving any extra pressure from his broken nose. He released the arm, raising up from his crouched position to stand at Yuri's right side.
Tiao Lei Shen's face scrunched into a scowl when the defeated spoke up. Tiao wedged his foot underneath the man's stomach, not worrying about any attempt at a takedown since Yuri couldn't move his arm on that side. Tiao pushed and lifted with his foot, causing Yuri to roll onto his side or back, depending on the amount of dead weight. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, lowering his eyes to match the dazed pair of Yuri's.
"What makes you think anything will change? Do you really think you will find strength that definately wasn't in you today, while I sit around growing lazy and weak? What's your game plan?"

"before this fight, my game plan was to find out where I fit in among the strongest fighters here, and today has made it apparent that I am too weak to give you much of a challenge. Which brings me to a question for you."
(I said to him before groaning as I rolled onto my knees and began to very slowly rise to my feet. The sharp pain that was coursing through my right shoulder was immense. I had never felt a pain like this before. As my right shoulder hung limp at my side I finally found my feet and stood facing tiao.
Looking up at him after wiping some of the blood that was gushing from my now shattered nose I really wondered if he would accept my offer)
"will you help me? will you be my teacher and train me? so that I too can be strong. I have grown tired of being weak, and in order for something to change I need help. It is obivous my old ways of training are not nearly enough, and that is why I know ask you if you will be my sensei?"
(I asked him keeping my head and eyes lowered in a manner of respect to the victor)

"No."
Tiao Lei Shen instantly replied, not missing in a beat in their conversation. While most people would feel guilty for inflicting such injurie and proceding to shut down Yuri's request--Tiao didn't.
"The only lessons I teach are the kind you've just been familiarized with. Look, if you want to be strong-" Tiao paused, raising his right hand to deliver short open handed uppercut to Yuri's chin, intending on forcing his head up. It wouldn't be anything too damaging, though it wouldn't exactly feel like a love tap, either.
"-then start acting like. I beat you today, and I'll always beat you. If you don't want to be a weakling, then stop lowering yourself below everyone else, dammit." Tiao paused, averting his eyes away from Yuri as he began to cool himself down. Tiao was angry for several reasons, the least of which being Yuri's usage of japanese terminology, though most of it was displaced.
"I'm seventeen years old, and I'm not looking to open up my own chain of schools before I graduate highschool. If you're intent on learning from another teenager, there's a few other martial arts prodigies at Hircine High. You don't want me as a teacher. Student's model their own teacher's procedures, and you don't want that."

(Hearing his first word stung slightly, but was expected, then as he continued to speak and pause in his sentence my head snapped backwards from the shot. It wasn't a shot meant to drop me or anything, but it still did hurt. Bringing my head back down to look tiao in the eyes. I listened intently on what he was saying. "I beat you today, and i'll always beat you"
Hearing those words gave me a new sensation in the pit of my stomach. Not one of anger, but something more. I wasn't just angry since I lost and that tiao wouldn't help me, no it was something different. Instead I found a feeling of sheer determination building inside of me.
Hearing these words from tiao I said nothing. I almost missed his last words since I was focused on something more now. I understood why tiao didn't want to teach me, he obviously had other things to do, and told me in his last statement which I almost missed exactly why he wouldn't.)
"I understand, but your wrong in one thing. Yes you beat me....but it won't always be so"
(I said to him before bowing my head in respect and begin turning away to walk out. I knew I would have to go to the hospital due to my nose and shoulder, but it didn't matter to me, I would bear my wounds with pride. everyone lost, no matter how strong you were, everyone lost once in a while, and I was going to make sure that Tiao knew that the next time we fought)
