Taru was walking down an alley with nothing but a few trash cans on the side. The floor of the alley was cleaner then most with little trash. Not a bad meeting place. But he could of done better. Taru had no right to say anything against it though. It was him who wanted to join the gang. The guy helping him was just pure luck. Taru finally got to the end of the alley and took a right into a large dead end with a person in the corner of it. He looked at Taru and approached him. He calmly smiled before saying...
"You wanted to join The Watchmen correct...? In that case I probaly should direct you to where the dojo is..."
Taru felt uneasy upon the words from the man. He wasn't sure he could trust the man. But he had nothing to lose. The Watchmen we're the good guys in a way compared to many other gangs. Joining this one wouldn't really be a mistake. Especially where the gang can protect his beloved Araxie just in case anything happens. Taru nodded at the man before replying...
"Yes. It would be nice if you could give me directions so I would't need to search any longer. And again many thanks to you helping me."
The man gave Taru a wide smile and looked at him again. This guy wasn't that bad. The man pulled out a map on it then he pointed to where he and Taru was. Then with a pen he circled another point on the map. Probaly where the dojo was. To let Taru know that was where the dojo was, the man stated...
"Yeah thats where the place is just so you know. It'll probaly take 30 minutes to walk...So have fun with it kid. Take care."
The man gave the map to Taru and walked out of the alley leaving Taru looking at the map. Taru exited the alley soon after and began his walk to the area where he could finally join the gang after so much searching.
~Presently~
Taru stood outside of dojo looking around. The entrance unguarded for some reason. Taru slowly walked inside trying to be aware of any attacks or ambushes. He looked around as he entered. Not expecting anything that might happen to him. He might join, and he might be rejected. Taru smiled nervously upon entering the dojo. This place where a whole gang resided and possibly could beat the living shit out of him made him seem uneasy. So he took each step with much caution trying to be ready for any thing that might happen to him.

(OOC: I'm posting assuming it isn't a school day; if it's not, then just say that Jellar was at the dojo right after school. If you have any time problems then just let me know.)
In recent days, the dojo was where Jellar spent most of his free time. Today was no exception. He had got to the dojo early in the morning and was spending his entire day there, even bringing his own lunch so he would not have to leave the dojo. He thought that he might have become bored spending the entire day there with nothing to do, as the dojo was usually unpopulated, but he had learned patience and found the concept very easy to follow. Though that did not mean he did not walk around, train a little bit, and socialize with the few Watchmen members that did come in from time to time. He was getting a name for himself among the less capable fighters of the 'gang,' if that was what to call it. He had eaten his lunch there and meditated and simply kept active, as much as he could be.
It was about in the afternoon when the door opened again, and Jellar turned his head again. This time, the person that walked in was someone unfamiliar to Jellar. That was strange, as Jellar was quite acquainted with most of the Watchmen already. Not sure if the kid was a Watchman or not, Jellar was going to talk to him. Upon first seeing, Jellar saw the kid as someone that reflected himself. The same height, and generally the same build. Perhaps they could get along quite well, seeing their body could reflect their interests. After approaching the kid, Jellar stopped and held out his hand, giving an introduction while doing so.
"Hey. I don't remember seeing you around, but the name's Jellar Feint," he said, rather friendly. The kid did not seem to have hostile intentions upon coming, rather he looked more cautious than anything.
Jellar breathed quietly as he pondered the reason for this kid's arrival. It was true that Jellar had not seen him around, so perhaps he was someone looking to join the group. If that was the case, good, and it seemed to be so, using his own perceptive abilities. Though, his caution was strange, as the gang, at least to Jellar's knowledge, had a reputation of the 'good guys.' He may have wanted something other than joining the gang, seeing his caution. Though, if this was considered a gang, which Jellar did not consider the Watchmen a gang, caution would not be out of the ordinary, though the smile seemed to say otherwise.

Taru was alerted that anyone was actually in the dojo since he honestly had no clue if there was anyone inside the building at all. So he saw the person who had the same built and height as himself so maybe, he could get along with this new stranger he met. Especially if he got to join the gang and maybe make some new friends in there as well. But that would be just pure lucky if he got to join and even being considered would be a feat itself. Oh well, worrying won't do much in this present situation for Taru so he could just listen to what the person had to say. The man approached Taru who was being so cautious around what was going to happen while the man seemed very calm and loked like he's been training for quite a while. The man put his hand out and even introduced himself with ,"Hey. I don't remember seeing you around, but the name's Jeller Feint." So Taru took the man's hand and shook it before letting for a few moments after shaking his hand.
"Um..Yeah...I'm Taru. This is my first time being here. I came here to join The Watchmen. My reasons can be told later. Anyways it took quite a while to find this place...Although I have no clue why. And I heard this gang is considered the good guys compared to all the other gangs. If that's true, more of a reason to join. Plus, there's a person I need to protect just in case anything happens. And if that happens..well I dunno. Maybe I can beg the gang for some help. I'm not sure though...Jellar..."
Taru looked down at the floor and sighed. He wasn't really sure at all what to do with all of this but hope that he will make it into the gang. For all he knew he would need to run into a haystack and find a needle then swim into an ocean with sharks and eat cookies trying to figure out which one is poison. He didn't know really what would happen. He just needed to do the right things to make it into the gang at whatever costs. He didn't really care what he needed to do, but whatever it is, he'll do it.

'Is the reputation of the gang really like this?' Jellar questioned himself, listening to Taru as he seemed to be prepare do just about anything to join the gang, or so he called it. It didn't come off as such for Jellar, who merely requested to join and was accepted by Maverik, when he had accepted another good number of members. In any case, Taru had presented himself as someone good, wanted the help of a 'good gang' as was mentioned. Jellar could only infer that he was more than capable of being accepted in the gang, and he would have accepted Taru immediately, of course, asking his reason quickly after.
But it wasn't within his power to do so.
Upon being in the dojo for a long time, he had not seen Maverik there at all. However, one person that did hold authority was probably present, and that was upstairs. Rose would more than likely have the power, and if she did not, perhaps she would be able to contact Maverik who did have the power, though Jellar had Maverik's cell phone number, he thought that confronting Rose would avoid any inconvenience on Maverik's side. So with that, Jellar gave some small instructions to Taru...
"Go ahead and make yourself home here. While you're here, though, it'd probably do you good to read the rules up there," Jellar said, gesturing to the other side of the room where the rules were on the wall behind the altar with the sword that cut the ribbon. With that, Jellar went to the base of the stairs and stopped, not peeking up or anything, but merely calling in a strong, but not forceful tone. Hopefully Rose was there, and if there was no response, Jellar merely had to call Maverik and have him handle the situation.
"Rose, this is Jellar Feint speaking," he began, speaking clearly. "We have a newcomer named Taru who wants to join, and I request your presence, if that is alright."
With that, Jellar stood, waiting patiently and looking straight forward. It may have been strange that he seemed to be looking at the tenth or eleventh flight of steps, but it was merely a result of him refusing to sulk with his head down or show an attempt to peek into the room that was considered forbidden to the other Watchmen members. Though his curiosity was piqued extremely, Jellar would not give in on this occasion.

ooc: Sorry for the lateness and shortness... Writers block strikes at the most inopertune moments...
“No need to bother Rose… I’m here” A familiar voice rang out from the doorway. Maverik had stepped in to check on the dojo as he did most days after he was finished at the school. He had been very busy that day, working almost non stop on reports to do with the big incident that had happened a few weeks ago. A war, it seemed, came with it’s fair share of paperwork… “So then Mr. Taru… You’re interested in our group?” He repeated rhetorically. “What might your interest be in the Watchmen? As you might have guessed, certain events have… Complicated things, and I’m afraid I have to be a little cautious of who I accept as a member… I’m sure you understand…” He explained, more to Jellar than the newcomer, as he wouldn’t know about how the original members were accepted.

(May as well reappear)
Raphael was in the Dojo today practising more on his Kicks. His legs were his secret weapons when it came to his knowledge of the martial arts. He figured the more he adapted his lower body's strenght, the more well developed he would become. The Watchmens rep has sort of changed, during the duration of the time we have been in Hircine.
With the riot that happened, and with his own 'Act of desperation' at the tourney, he felt the need to take some blame for this. It would be a miracle if we had new members. But today, Raphael believed that an angel heard the call. He turned to see a a student come in. He seemed curious and very cautious. Feeling the need to observe, He stood by his section in the dojo and looked on.

"I understand. Quite simple. One, I want to do some good for this place. Two, just incase anything happens I want my love to have some protection I don't exactly expect that but it'd be nice. Three, I already got an idea to do some good if you catch my drift. There's something about to happen in the school taking everyone out but, I we can get into that later. So thats just some of my reasons why I want to join. I have more but time is short."
Taru bowed awaited Maverick's answer and looked into his eyes with flames. This better work out. Taru bit his lip slightly and those flames slowly faded. Taru just waited for his answer with much hope that he would be expected. Taru scratched the back of his head and looked down.

ooc: Short yes, but I havn't much to build on here...
ic: Taru answered truthfully, and it was true that Maverik could see the resolve in his eyes. He wanted to be a Watchman, and he didn’t seem to be of any other faction… But Maverik wanted to make one final test… “You talk well enough… And your intent seems pure…” He stroked his chin lightly as he pondered. “Tell you what… Lay a single hit on me… And you’re in… Attack as many times as you like. If I am hit, or forced to block, you’re in.” He said simply, placing his briefcase to the side. “I think that’s fair…” He added with a slight smile. “As you will” He added, standing rather casually, waiting for Taru to make a move.
This would be a simple test of Taru’s fighting ability. Maverik wouldn’t attack back of course, and he would be fairly restricted in his work cloths, tie and all. Even so, he wasn’t about to make things too easy on Taru… This was after all, a test of his skills, and the whole exercise would be pointless if he just made it easy for him.

Jellar turned around, not very surprised at the voice that rang out, though not expected. He turned around slowly to the doorway to see Maverik in work clothes for being the student dean. Truthfully, it was a little hard to keep that fact in mind, that he was indeed the student dean. He always seemed like one of the students, being so active in the politics and such instead of staying behind the scenes; even participating in the tournament. Strange, indeed.
Jellar nodded and quickly reformed his thinking when Maverik made the comment about their acceptances. It was true that certain events have indeed complicated things; the riot was one. There were a good number of people that would join the Watchmen for something other than the true purpose. With that, Jellar gave a respectful nod to Maverik and made to the side, letting him take over Taru's recruitment.
Keeping isolated himself, he made periodic glances to the two as they progressed the recruitment. He was not staring intently, as he did not want to have Taru too nervous or anything. He was merely keeping updated, doing some stretches to kill time while they did their thing, periodically practicing his own Tai Chi forms and keeping in his own space. The way things were progressing were rather interesting. Jellar was not there to see Maverik fight in the tournament, so he'd be able to see today. Once they began the fight, Jellar would probably devote more attention to the two.

Hit him huh? This won't be easy. Atleast he had a small plan that might work. Taru went up to Maverick with his left hand out. As to a handshake. But in his mind, Taru thought of it differently. As soon as the moment that Maverick shook his hand, Taru would tug on it and quickly throw in his right fist as a hook and if it missed, he'd bend his arm and strike with his elbow at Maverick's face. I hope the gang wasn't big on playing nice during a fight.
Taru wasn't using full force though, he just used enough to hit Maverick on the face. Taru hoped the hook would hurt him so his elbow wouldn't hit Maverick since the elbow was much harder. Taru honsetly didn't want to fight Maverick in full extent. Just to the point where he got a hit off him and he could fall back.
Taru thought in his head as he executed his fake handshake and hook which would turn into an elbow. What was he thinking? Well, he was thinking how he hoped that by doing this, he won't get kicked out of the gang . Taru thought about how when he was defenseless as a child but now has the ability to fight and maybe that ability would help him atleast hit Maverick somewhere. Taru had no time to think though so his hook that'd turn into an elbow if avoided was executed without much thought and pure instinct. And just incase his hook/elbow missed, he would throw a right knee in there just incase.

ooc: Sorry for the late reply… Personal issues have gotten in the way of posting lately. So as to give myself something worth posting, I’ll assume you continue the attacks anyway.
ic: Taru extended his hand towards Maverik, and he shook his head slightly before offering a very slight bow in response. “Never shake the hand of your opponent before a fight” he said aloud, not just to Taru, but to the few less skilled Watchmen that were starting to gather around. Taru seemed somewhat jostled out of his mindset by this reaction, and immediately threw a left hook. Maverik leaned back, letting the attack pass by harmlessly, and as he followed through with an elbow strike, Maverik pulled his leg back and changed his stance so that he was now well out of reach from such attacks.
He pushed forward and attempted to deliver a knee strike, but the distance between them had become too great and Maverik saw it coming easily, sliding his left foot in an ark and allowing the strike to pass him by. “Attacks of desperation are never good to try and pull off at the start of a fight. Always start simple until you get a feel for your opponent” Again, he spoke to the group. He was actually teaching whilst initiating Taru. Not so much a sign of arrogance, as a sign of his nature. ‘Every battle is a lesson, and an opportunity to better oneself’ He had once told the Watchmen members.

"Dammit. Thought that would work."
Taru took a step back in his Muay Thai stance ready to take on Maverick. Leader of the Watchmen. Taru shuffled forward with his guard's up getting closer toward Maverick. And if he backed up or go into a circle, Taru would follow him. When he got in striking range of Maverick, Taru made a low left kick toward Maverick's shin and if missed it didn't matter, he would then jump off his left foot to kick with his right toward Maverick's head. And if that missed, Taru would throw a right hook and left jabs the whole freaking time. He had to hit Maverick.

Maverik did not back down from Taru’s advancements. This wasn’t a fight. It was a test. Taru tried to perform a leg sweep, but Maverik simply lifted his front leg and allowed it to pass underneath untouched. Had it been a real fight, Maverik would have stomped down and broken Taru’s ankle… As soon as Taru’s foot hit the ground, he leapt off it in an attempt to kick Maverik higher up. The jump looked awkward as he had tried to make a very strange change in movement. Maverik ducked and allowed the strike to pass over his head. Taru’s feet hit the ground and he broke back into an elbow strike, which Maverik sidestepped, having had plenty of time to stand upright after Taru landed.
Taru was becoming desperate, and had begun to throw hooks and jabs in quick succession, which caused him to fall into a pattern. Easy for Maverik to sidestep and outmaneuver. It was at this point that Maverik knew the test was over. He wasn’t taking his time or analyzing the situation at all. He was blindly striking out with desperation. It was easy to tell how badly he wanted to be accepted into the group, but while is attacks were easy to avoid… It was clear what his intentions were.
As Taru threw another punch, Maverik reacted differently. He grabbed hold of Taru’s arm as he moved out of the way, and in one fluid motion, turned, and using Taru’s own body weight, pulled down on Taru’s arm onto his own shoulder, executing a judo throw and crashing the boy into the ground. Though it would undoubtedly hurt… Maverik had held back considerably to minimize the damage, and not wind him. “It’s over” He said simply, bending over and extending his hand to Taru. “You’ve a lot of work if you want to become good enough to defeat me…” He said after Taru had gotten to his feet. “But your intentions are clear to me now… The eyes of a man reveal much about him.” He told the boy as he approached the alter at the front of the dojo. He slowly opened the box that sat upon it, and removed a Watchmen ring from within it.
“If you want to be a Watchmen… You must swear to uphold the tenants of the group, and to improve yourself to be at your very best…” He tossed the ring to Taru, allowing him to decide for himself whether or not he would accept the terms, and become a member within the ranks of the Watchmen. “I fought back” He said suddenly, before Taru could question the test. “That means you passed” He added nonchalantly. Maverik was a strange person indeed. He often acted in odd, and spoke in riddles… But behind all that, he always seemed to be thinking… Observing… Waiting for something… “The choice is yours Taru… If you want to join… You need only put the ring on…” He said simply, not waiting for him to do so before closing the box and walking past him, leaving the dojo to attend other business that concerned him. If Taru joined, he would see him around the dojo most certainly… And although he didn’t show it outwardly… He hoped that the boy would. And through the group, become exactly what he wanted to be.
