Arlen's heavy foot falls resounded through the hollow corridors of Hircine High. Such a place was fairly eerie for the massive Irish youth. Being home schooled back in Ireland he wasn't used to being in such large spaces...secretly the giant was glad that the halls were reasonably empty. Although he'd been in Hircine for a week he'd spent all that time in his Dorm Room getting himself settled. Today was his first day in the school system. With the Varron transfers he wandered what the atmosphere in the school would be like. Indeed he wandered what the students of both Varron and Hircine would be like..how would they react to each other? Arlen shrugged nonchalantly as these thoughts travelled idly for his mind. No matter he thought, soon he would find out. Arlen turned the corner of the hall toward the location of his locker. Arlen was about to have his first encounter with either a Varronian or a Hircine student. Loitering by the lockers was a small crowd...4 students...Arlen's cool blue gaze swept over them as he approached. 112 was his locker it just so happened that by some twist of fate this small group had congregated around said locker. Arlen found himself towering over the four students.
"'Scuse me lads...you're infront of my locker."
The small group stopped talking, one of them clearly startled by the sheer size of Arlen took a swift step back, almost falling as he stumbled in his retreat. Arlen simply watched him, his face and his body language expressionless. The furthest student from Arlen managed to lock eyes with the giant. It was clear that he had the intent of staring Arlen down. When the student stepped infront of Arlen's locker his purpose of intimidation was clear for all to see. Unphased by these actions Arlen simply maintained eye contact with the student and then spoke in his strong Irish accent once more.
"Nah mate...you're still in front of my locker...I'm in 112."
'You want this locker Varronian..you're going to have to pay for it.'
Arlen picked up the word Varronian as the group leader nigh on spat the words out at Arlen. Arlen raised his eyebrows...these were obviously Hircine students who had a chip on their shoulder about the transfers coming in and invading their 'turf' Arlen shook his head as he looked back to the smaller student.
"I'm Irish...not Varronian...Now step aside, I ain't paying shit."
The moment Arlen spoke these words he noted a ripple of tension flow through the four students. Maybe they were used to bullying their way around in this school...now they weren't getting their own way and the prospect of a fight was beggining to show. Arlen's posture and expression remained neutral, something that clearly riled the small group further. In a moment of stupidity the group leader took a step forward and thrust his index finger into the chest of Arlen as he stared into his eyes.
'You're going to fucking pay Varronian.'
Arlen acknowledging this as a clear threat and dealt with the matter the only way he knew how to. Before the finger could be pulled back by the gang leader Arlen's strong hands had wrapped around the forearm of the student . With a low grunt Arlen stepped back with his right foot, twisting his body on this pivot he pulled the student with him pulling them off ballance, with a heave he dragged and then released them much in the style of a hammer throw. The smaller and much lighter student was then sent sprawling across the floor. Arlen wasn't here to fight...he was here to study. No longer worried about the student he had just made a fool of he turned back to the three who were left.
"Move."

It was Xian's first day at her new school and of course she was frightened of the welcome she would have. At first, as she walked inside the school, it seemed faily well since no one really noticed that she had entered the school at all, but once someone had a close look at her and discovered that she was in fact a Varronite, trouble soon grew. First, she was glared at as she walked by many students and soon after nasty comments came along. Of course Xian felt suddenly sadened for no one really liked to be called names but there was nothing she could do. She wanted to prove to the students that not all the Varronites were bad and that she was one of the good, but her start was not good and if she did anything drastic, she would be considered barbarious just like the rest. So she could only try and not listen to what was being said about her.
While going to her locker, she knew she could still be watched but learned to ignore them. Plus her attention was looking at some Hircine students calling this random guy a Varronite. But the young Chinese girl either new or recongnized most of her old school mates and did not know this one, plus it would be hard to miss him if he was in Varron at all, he was huge after all.
Soon enough though, the big man had to use brute force to get rid of them, though three were left, but they were shaking of fear. It had been a while that Xian had not seen a fight and it was worth it all. Though she hated to fight herself, it was fun to watch and sometimes she enjoyed beating the crap out of weaker students since she learned that stronger ones were a bad idea after getting shot in the hip a few months ago. But these guys looked fairly weak and by the way they barely did anything while they were getting their asses kicked, she guessed that they were just as they looked. Xian was going to continue and ignore them but the action got the best of her as she smirked, placed her books down, walked up to the three guys slowly and once at a good angle, she gave the one that was farthest from the lockers a good hard kick in the head, his head hitting the other and so on. The three all knocked out due for their fear of the big guy and the huge bonks to their heads. Xian giggled, her hand to her mouth as she watched them. They had funny looks to their faces. She then looked at the big guy with her dark brown eyes.
"I hope you're okay. Well I'm sure you are." she said. "I'm sorry you were mistaken for a Varronite, though please don't turn out like them, we're not all bad." she said with a sweet smile. But she was telling the truth. Xian was bad at her school before Varron but as soon as she was transfered she decided to be good so she wouldn't stay there long, but after meeting good friends, she couldn't leave. "Oh! pardon me, I forgot to introduce myself! I am Tong Xian Tian, though please call me Xian, and you are?" she asked, extending her small pale hand towards him to shake.

It seems that the leader of the group who had been tossed to one side had chosen to cut his losses for the moment and simply ran from the scene. Arlen knew this because he heard soft chuckles of laughter from a few by standers as the coward scuffled to pick his sorry ass up from the floor and then instead of running at Arlen to aid his friends...his footfalls instead ran in the opposite direction until they faded into nothingness. Arlen's cool blue gaze was now locked on the three youths who still rather stupidly stood in front of his lokcer despite asking them to move. Arlen sighed, he realised that this was a mixture of fear and bravado on their part. Just by looking at them he could see how uncomfortable they were in this situation and even with the advantage of numbers it was clear that the sheer size of Arlen was so off putting that neither one of them had any intentions of making the first move against him after seeing how the toughest of them had just been man handled by the giant. Arlen was about to simply shove them out of the way when he noticed a young woman strolling by. The three males who were stuck in a stand off with Arlen were so dumfounded that they simply didn't notice her until it was all to late. In a rather unexpected manouvere the young woman unleashed a kick into the side of the head of one of the three students. Creating a rather humerous domino effect as the kick sent each youth crashing into one and other and then eventually the lockers. Despite being amused by this Arlen showed little reaction. The young woman had done him a favour, now his locker was free to get too. And it saved him having to waste energy moving the trio himself. The conflict now over Arlen turned his attention to the darker haired young lady.
'I hope you're okay. Well I'm sure you are...I'm sorry you were mistaken for a Varronite, though please don't turn out like them we're not all bad.'
'We're not all bad' Arlen knew from these words that this young woman must be a Varron transfer. It made sense to him really, he heard that much of the student body at Varron, or atleast the more infamous of them were all fighters. This young woman through a simple kick had managed to floor three rather annoying students, even if it was in a blind side attack it was still a feat beyond many. Arlen was impressed.
"I'm fine now you've come along and saved me. I know all Varron students aren't bad..even the fighters. My cousin went to Varron and he didn't have a bad bone in him."
'Oh! pardon me, I forgot to introduce myself! I am Tong Xian Tian, though please call me Xian, and you are?'
As Xian spoke these words she offered a rather fragile looking hand for Arlen to shake. Not wanting to be rude, Arlen took her smaller hand in his own. Being mindful of the size difference Arlen made sure that his hand shake wasn't too firm as he offered a reply to her.
"I'm Arlen O'grady, It's good to meet you Xian."

The young Chinese woman had actually completely forgotten about the three men that she had kicked in the head and had only realized when she moved a foot for wards and accidentally stepped on one. Xian looked downward at what she had stepped on, a little shocked once she saw him. 'Ewww!' she yelled in her head as she watched the fallen guy, drool now forming a puddle on the floor as his mouth was wide open. She then shook her head and looked back up at the big man.
He was nicer then he looked and she liked that. He was scary looking because of his size, and hardly anybody would bother him, but yet he seemed really sweet and polite. It felt great to already meet someone kind in this school since all the Hircinians didn't even try to accept the Varronites at all. But of course, Xian didn't want to stoop down at their level but yet in a way did since she couldn't stand their attitude anymore. But, Maverik would be angry with her if he found out, plus it wouldn't be too good to know that the Student Dean's girlfriend was 'out of control' or something. So behaving for now was her only option.
"That's great to hear." she said smiling. "At least someone understands us somewhat. If only the Hircinians at least tried to get along. If only, because then this place would be so great."
Arlen then shook her hand, his much bigger then hers. Xian felt extremely small compared to him, but it was no new feeling. Almost all men made her feel this way for she was just so small and thin. But she would just have to deal with it for nothing would change that feeling, even if she tried, Xian could never get fat.
"It's nice to meet you also, Arlen" she smiled, her eyes closed once more.
Xian didn't want this situation to get awkward so she decided to at least try and do something. "Hey, you want to do something? But that's only if you want to leave school or something. But if you care about your studies then go right ahead." she asked, not too sure how he would think of her now. Yes, she was a good girl in a way, but Xian had a bad reputation for skipping school. But at least this year she'd try not to threaten the teachers to give her good marks when she was never there. No, she needed to try and do this herself, even if she didn't want to. Though, she would have to stop skipping school and not caring.

Arlen watched as Xian shifted her stance, a puzzled moment later lead her to look down. It seemed that she had accidently stood on one of the fallen trio. Arlen smiled for the first time and forced himself to stifle the laugh that he wanted to emit. It seemed that Xian had forgotten about the events that had just occured. Looking now at the fallen trio Arlen noticed that the one who had suffered the blow was in fact out cold, the other two were simply writhing around on the floor groaning whilst they held their heads in pain. Arlen shook his head at the pitiful sight and then allowed his blue eyes to raise to meet Xian just in time to catch her as she began to speak once more.
'That's great to hear...at least someone understands us somewhat. If only the Hircinians at least tried to get along. If only, because then this place would be so great'
Arlen nodded his head slowly, he agreed that if people always got along then the world let alone this high school would be a much better place. However he could not help, but think that conflict was inevitable especially after meeting the four students he had met today. With little provocation at all the start of what could have been a brawl had broken out. Fortunately the four students were in fact cowardly and easily taken care of. Arlen knew that this school like those made infamous in Varron would probably harbour some talented fighters who would not look kindly upon the transfers. Then again there would also be those who rather much like Arlen would remain apathetic to the entire situation.
"I'm sure this place will become homely soon enough...with or without support of the Hircinians. There will always be those who don't like the transfer...likewise there will be those who really wont care and will probably treat you like any other student."
Arlen paused, his eyes falling once more to the fallen students. He was quite sure that the next time these guys ran into some transfer students or indeed any new student they would probably do well to just keep their heads down and move along. It was clear that they were out of their league when it came to those who had transfered. Arlen could only hope that they learnt their lesson and know new their place in the new hierachy that was to be set within the school. Deep down Arlen also knew that there were bound to be students from Hircine a lot more dangerous than the four he ahd met today. And when those students clashed with the 'big guns' from the transfer..that is when the shit will really hit the fan in this school. Breaking from these thoughts Arlen looked back to Xian as she spoke once more.
'Hey, you want to do something? But that's only if you want to leave school or something. But if you care about your studies then go right ahead.'
Arlen was thankful that Xian had spoken again, she broke his troubled train of thought. He knew that he had math and physics today, but he didn't particularly enjoy those subjects...being new he was sure he could make up some excuse as to why he wasn't in class on his first day at his new school. Settled now in his thoughts Arlen nodded his head slowly before he spoke. He was looking forward to a trouble free day...although having a poor start it was starting to look like he might be in for a good day after all.
"Aye, I'd like to do something. I don't really know the place all that well...and you're the only person I kinda know around here...so I'd be happy to kill some time with you."

OOC: ( I'm soooo sorry for not replying in a long while!!! I actually forgot I had somewhere else to post. @__<;; I feel so stupid! ))
"I surely do hope so." she smiled. "I'm just hoping I will meet one of those Hircinians some time soon. That way, I can feel more at home in this place."
After asking him if he wanted to do something, she realised that she had interupted his train of thought. Of course, she felt bad, imagining that what he was thinking about was inportant. She just brought a hand to her mouth and looked at him, worry in her eyes, though all was fine, and she bit her lip softly. But her worry was soon vaporized as he agreed to do something with her. The hyper senior smiled and cocked her head to the right. She then looked at hin, her smile still present.
"Great!" she exclaimed. "Well now it depends where you would like to go. Just take a walk? To the mall? A movie? Somewhere in the school? I'm fine with anywhere so yeah." Xian giggled.
The young Asian girl was as peppy as usual and was happy for it. After her horrible past at Varron with Dark and Kvist, she had gotten more quiet and kept a lot to herself and she was especially happy to be far away from them and that place. But now she was almost back to normal, though she didn't meet people in trees or such as much anymore. It was a habbit she had to lose anyway. But still, she was glad she was still meeting nice people and possibly had a bright future filled with love from Maverik and happiness from friends.

(OOC: It's alright.)
'Great!'
Arlen's eyes widened slightly as he raised his eyebrows, such an ecstatic response was unexpected. He smiled slightly at the young womans excitement. Arlen was unused to conversing with someone with such a bubbly personality. Rather than being put off, he found her attitude rather refreshing. Especially after some of the hostility he had experienced over the past few days of his being here. Xian peeled off a good list of activities that the two could do together. Arlen still unsure of where everything was in the town, would be happy doing anything. Just so long as he saw the back of the school for the while and had some time to himself. Xians arrival he saw as a blessing, he had been alone for a good week now and felt it was high time he started to introduce himself to some people in an attempt to set up some sort of friendship basis. With a slow shrug of his massive shoulders Arlen looked back to Xian, he had clearly been in thought for sometime and knew if he remained silent any longer Xian would either think him slow or odd. So with a half smile Arlen adressed the young dark haired woman.
"Erm...I'm happy to do anythin' really. What would you like to do the most and I'll just come along with you. Like I said I don't really know my way around so anywhere we go will be cool with me."
Satisfied with his response Arlen chose to cut himself off, scratching at the dark stubble on his chin with his left hand he would wait for Xian's response. Getting away from the school soon was probably a good idea. Arlen cast a gaze over Xian and toward the clock. Before long class would be out and he was quite sure that once students started to fill these halls they would probably start asking questions as to why there were three students out cold by the lockers. And with a man of Arlen's size stood over them...the blame would most likely be placed on him.
"Anywhere outta this place would probably be best."

Xian was of course not sure at all if Arlen enjoyed her happy mood or if he thought that she was strange. She wouldn't have blamed him at all if he thought she was...different; many other people thought the same, though most liked her for that, except for the dark people who always wanted to be lonely. That was the only time she was ever hated and the one person she knew for sure that was annoyed of her was Pan Yi Xiao, though last time she had ever seen her was when she was at Varron. Though hopefully he liked her.
It took him a while to answer but the Asian girl did not mind at all. She assumed that he was simply thinking deeply to what he wanted to do but by his answer, he guessed that he had not chosen or was just unsure. Xian nodded though as she saw him looking at the time, she glancing at the clock also. Class was about to start and he seemed very nervous. By all those signs she was able to add up what he was worried about. Obviously with his size anyone would assume he was some psycho huge guy who loved to beat people up, and the fact that there was three knocked out guys right in front of his locker did not help the situation at all.
"Oh...yeah. Well let's go. We'll just take a walk around and see what there is to. That should be easier." she said. "Well come on. We better move quickly."
Xian then turned around, looking back at him to see if he was following and once he did she looking frontwards and quickly walked towards the school doors, opened them and walked out with Arlen surely behind her.
"Okay, well I guess we could either follow that path or just walk around the streets. Either way seems fun." she waited for his opinion.

Arlen watched Xian, waiting quite patiently for her decision. Once she spoke up and began to walk away toward the main doors of the school he gladly followed her. Taking one slow glance behind he noticed that one of the fallen students was starting to stir. A low groan echoing through the reasonably quiet halls as they cradled their heads. Arlen smiled briefly before looking ahead, having a longer stride than Xian it took him no time at all to make up the distance between the two and he was soon walking by her side, but a comfortable distance allowing them both some room to move. Once the two reached the outside Arlen took in a slow breath, although he had only been inside for no more than an hour he had already felt a bit stifled. Much of his life was spent outside and he preffered it that way. He always enjoyed the fresh air.
'Okay, well I guess we could either follow that path or just walk around the streets. Either way seems fun.'
Arlen pondered walking the streets, but he had walked them a few times since his arriving in Hircine. He desired a bit of change. Settling his mind on the first option offered by Xian he looked down to her with a half smile. Gesturing with his left hand toward the path he nodded his head.
"Lets take the path, I've never been down there before."
