Malikai put down the television remote in disgust at the fact that the only thing on was news dealing with either or both Varron Academy and Hircine High. It did not bother him at first in fact, he was quite interested in what was going on with the Varron scandal. Sadly, all the news kept saying was the same crap over and over again to the point where it was physically sickening to hear. The students of Varron, the worst students of Varron Academy were being shipped clear across the country to join the ranks of Hircine students. Little to nothing was being released on the inquiry as to why the school was so suddenly closed or the FBI involvement. Rumors meant nothing to Malikai all he wanted was the facts that he was not getting.
"Stupid glorified American media at least in the rest of the world they made interesting crap to cover the fact they were hiding something." Malikai said out loud to himself. His uncle and aunt had already left the house for work and he was left alone for the day. Having really no friends on account of his nature Malikai was truly alone. Moving around for so much of his life Malikai never really developed the social skills in order to make friends.
After enrolling in Hircine high and spending several months he learned that his ways were shunned. He was as much an outcast as the Varron students who were coming to join the ranks of Hircine. The only difference was that Malikai had already taken his share of beatings and the Varron students were still awaiting their own. Malikai had been around the library and mall listening to people talk, school students no less, none of them were happy about the new additions to the school. What he did know for sure was that their would be fighting and the principal was going to instill order in the end. That was the only certainty in the equation the only unknown variable was how hard the Varron students would resist. Hopefully for everyones sake it would not be too long.
Malikai decided to put his mind to more constructive activities such as a two hour workout session. The push ups killed, the crunches burned, the squats and weights made him grunt with the exertion, all in all it was a good workout. Still sweating Malikai jumped in the shower, fixed his hair, dressed, and walkout out the door of the small house he now called home.
~To the library~ he thought to himself smirking slightly as he began to walk down the street toward the library. Malikai had a routine which he followed during his break time. He got up, watched some T.V. worked out, and went to the library to do some reading. Books were Malikai's only friends, they required nothing of him but his company and always taught him something along the way. Plus unlike people they never abandoned you or died on you.
Malikai put his hands in his pocket and looked down thinking about his parents. He hated the fact that he could not remember his mothers smile or his father voice, but what hurt him the most was that he felt nothing, no pain or sadness, just nothing.
