Felix took one last look at his dorm room. He wouldn't be holding himself back for another year at Hircine. He didn't need any more of that. He was just going to fall into the background that consumed all those that never stood out. He was going to leave this dorm and never look back. In his time that he'd been here he'd switched jobs a couple of times, and finally found one that he could stick with, one that he truly enjoyed.
He found a beach side diner and applied immediately. The owners were an elderly company, and they had given Felix a very generous offer to assist them in managing the place. Though it wasn't well advertised and the only customers that were there were usually beach goers and srufers. More imprtantly though he loved being near the ocean. It felt like a good place, it had all of the qualitites and emotions that were common in his life right there. But the best part about it was that he felt at peace late at night, staring out across the water.
He snapped himself out of his reverie and stared back into his empty dorm. With the pay as nicely as it was he was able to afford himself a very small condo just a block away from the beach. It was a nice one story place, complete with a main living room, an extended kitchen and a bedroom towards the back. It was all he needed.
He finished with the last box hours ago, and stood there for a while longer. "It's not like this place has been special. It was hell all over again." He left the key on the counter, locked the door from the inside and walked out, double checking to make sure he had his items. He made his way to his car and got in, pulling his cell out of the bag and looking at it. It hadn't rang at all. In fact, if he hadn't given his number out he would of left it at the dorm as well. He tossed his bag in the empty passenger seat and put his cell in his lap.
'Can't believe I even transfered down here. Waste of time.' Though he didn't close his car door and he didn't move to put his key in the ignition. He just leaned back and closed his eyes. He wasn't here for long but his memories always haunted him.
