After about a week at this school, Steve Barzahd had realized that nobody around here really knew much about anybody else. It was all just a bunch of assumptions, but even the two populations from this and the former Varron high school seemed to be generally in the dark about one another. Steve didn't think this was such a healthy realization, so here he was. The library.
The school library was a huge place, at about three times the size of the one at the previous school. Steve sat at one of the computers in the back used for looking up books and typing research papers with the aide of said books. He had already made his way onto the Internet, and now was searching for anything he could find on the school. Although he found a lot of information and quite a few shining articles about how wonderful the institution was, Steve could find nothing out of the ordinary. Granted, he had not known exactly what he was looking for to begin with, but he thought to himself "I'll know it when I see it."
The place was just too damned perfect. High grade averages, an almost perfect promotion and graduation record, no articles of rioting or even isolated incidents of fighting...could this have all been the work of the current administration of pillars? "That's it!" he thought to himself. Steve would continue his search with the pillars.
Silently, Steve began his search. The student files were classified, of course, so Alkaiser would have to break a few virtual barriers to make it into the information. His rap-tapping at the keyboard was slowly but surely hacking through the school's encryption. A batch here and a bin there and voila! Access to everything he had been searching for. By the time he had made it past all of the obstacles Steve had realized something terribly wrong, however. First searching for Captain Darren Blayne's record, then on to first pillar Tiao Lei Shen's profile, and past the final pillar's. The records could not be found. There was nothing there.

In his quest for truth it seems Steve completely forgot that truth sometimes was harder to find then it seems. So therefore you had to disobey some rules or laws. But by doing that you also must remember that you should not be caught. Yet as he got carried away he did not notice the single man in the library silently sitting in a chair with a book in his hand. With his back positioned to the window with the sun shining behind him his face was hard to see as he saw everything. He sat there silently no longer reading the book but looking into the computer screen that Steve was so focused on. Aleksey was not stupid. He knew what Steve was doing. He was slightly surprised that a kid like that was able to bypass the school security system. Yet he also knew that by doing so you broke the school rules. He was not sure why would this guy need the files that were not his own but that sparked interest in his mind so instead of just giving an anonymous note to the authorities Aleksey decided to find this out for himself first.
With a loud snap he closed the book in his right hand that way making sure Steve knew about his presence. After that Aleksey placed the book on the little table on his right side not moving his eyes away from Steve. “I am sure you are aware that breaking into school database is a serious offence.” His words were simple and calm. Yet he was still weary because the reputation of Varron students most certainly precedes them. “So one would ask himself what is it so important that you risked trying to access the data in such a public place?” Aleksey finished simply. He didn’t like Varron students one bit but wasn’t about to let a chance to blackmail one of them simply pass him by. After all a guy with such computer skills could come in handy. So with that thought Aleksey just sat there waiting for the answer with a raised eyebrow and a little smirk on his face.
((Sorry for shortness))

With a slam of a hard-cover book, Steve realized that he was not alone. Steve immediately clicks the alt + F4 key combination, closing his windows. In searching, he had found quite a few more bits of info before the voice from behind him made itself known.
I'm doing nothing wrong. If you must know, I was searching for a reason as to why our credits for the semester at Varron did not carry over to this school.
Steve wasn't completely lying, as he did search for and find a few answers on that subject as well. The full truth was more along the lines of wanting dirt on this school or it's strongest students and using that to his own advantage.
Was this guy Varron? Couldn't have been...a Varron would probably aide the search. Did he hear Steve's reputation as the ex-Freshman Captain? That would definately explain his decision to target Alkaiser. Steve decided he would try to find out.
So who would you be? And more importantly, what do you want?

His rash moves only confirmed Aleksey’s theory that whatever this guy was looking for was not something he wanted to be caught looking at. A little smirk on his face widened as he continued looking at Vorronian. Aleksey didn’t like them or trust them one bit so therefore he was not going to provide any information that he was not sure was safe to give. Slowly Aleksey listened to what Steve said at the same time placing his elbows on the sides of the chair and crossing his fingers in the level of his nose. Slowly but surely Aleksey thought about what he could say and then after a few moments of silence and analyzing the man in front of him Aleksey spoke.
“I see… Is there any particular reason that stopped you from asking the teachers about that?” He didn’t need that statement to make sure the guy was lying. Aleksey couldn’t tell what he was looking for but to put so much effort in something as insignificant was just stupid. Aleksey had no idea who the guy was. He never heard about him and if it was his will he would never see nor him nor another Varronian ever. But unfortunately it was not his decision to make so he could only wait and see how all of this turns out. So you could just say that right now Aleksey was in the right place at the right time.
“I’m Aleksey if that would make any difference to you. Now that I introduced it is your turn.” Aleksey added simply still looking at Steve. “And what would I want from you? I’m just random faceless student aren’t I?” Aleksey added with a ever present smirk.

I guess I just didn't feel like any of my teachers would give me a straight answer...it seems they like to make trouble for the Varrons as well.
The kid just sat there, smirking and firing away questions. "What the hell? Who is this guy to question me?" Steve thinks to himself. He introduced himself in quite the creepy manner, and added an extra few rhetorical questions, probably because he truly thought he was getting under Steve's skin. Steve stared at him through lazy, half closed eyes.
"My name is Steve, if that makes any difference." Steve continued his lazy stare as the mocking sarchasm rolled off his tongue. He spins around in the computer chair, to face away from the keyboard and towards Aleksey.
Usually I make sure to never underestimate any student, because you'll always end up surprised. So I'm not buying the random faceless student bit. Steve reached back behind himself and pulled a small black jump drive from the front USB port on the computer. He snaps the cap back on and slides it into his pocket, still watching the kid loosely. "If you really have no buisiness with me, however, I think I'll take my leave now." Steve roughly stood up and wavered a bit, getting onto the fronts of his feet. He turns to begin walking out of the library.
