"Yeah, yeah, I'm here, at the location, what do you want me to do?"
The eccentric male listened to what the man on the other side of the line had to tell him. Raising both eyebrows as he heard his orders, REDUX grinned vehemently. With a twisted chuckle, he nodded as he vocalized his approval.
"It will be done in less than four months."
The eighteen year old man would then close his flip phone and place it in his pants' back pocket, smirking to himself. Letting his head fall to the side for a moment, he thought about the difficulty of his newest assigned mission. It would be challenging, and might actually push him to the limits of his mortal being, but he was up for the challenge.
As he walked past the main door of Hircine High, the man quickly approached the first visible student. A young male who was busy opening his locker. By the looks of it, he seemed to be a sophomore. That was REDUX's guess. The tall man pressed his back against the locker next to the sophomore's own cabinet, and with a nod, saluted him.
"Hey, sorry to bother ya. Would you be nice enough to tell me who the school captain here is? I'm here to replace him."
REDUX asked with a friendly but misleading smile.

"Take a number buddy there are many here who would love to try him." Malikai replied in his Italian accent with a sigh as he had been so rudely interupted at his locker. He continued to fidgit purposely with his books forcing the student to wait for the full answer to his question. Malikai did not even bother to so much as look at the boy during his reply thinking it a pointless venture. Plus it kept the boy guessing as to what could happen next.
Closing his locker and tossing his bag over one shoulder Malikai finally turned and faced the boy who was so conveniently leaning against his neighboring locker. His emerald colored eyes looked the boy up and down through his colored hair. The boy was tall, probably 3-4 inches taller than Malikai by his estimates which for many students was rather tall. He was lanky looking with long blond hair which did not really seem natural with his skin tone. His etes like Malikai's were masked my contacts but unlike Malikai's blue rimmed emerald this boys was a brown rimmed green.
Malikai had never seen him around before and judging by his initial question he was most likely one of the late arrivals out of the Varron transfers. This could be a useful asset to Malikai as it provided another potential allie against the Pillars and thier Captain. So instead of just plainly insulting the boy he would try and play it nice, as he was beginning to findout was generally a good idea with the transfers.
"His name is Darren something or other I really don't care enough to find out the rest. I find it interesting that you would like to replace him and I hope you do not mind me asking why you feel you would make a better captain than he?"

"Darren, huh?"
The eccentric eighteen year old asked, not expecting an answer to his rhetorical question. The newcomer didn't know who that was, and assumed that this 'Darren' shouldn't know anything about him either. It was a good thing, he thought; this way he'd have time to set up his own grid of contacts before he appears on the captain's radar.
As the young man at his side finished his question, REDUX pushed himself off the lockers with an odd, Mona Lisa like smile. As he straightened his back he looked at the young man in front of him and released a chuckle. It wasn't a mocking one, though; it felt more like the man was pleasantly amused by the question. Bringing his right index finger up to his lower lip and tapping it twice, the stranger took a moment before providing an answer.
"It's not that I think I'm a better captain than him. He's probably doing a great job, for all I know. I'm just following orders. Anyways, becoming captain in a school where you barely know anybody isn't easy, would you be interested in helping me?"
He coolly asked, keeping his mysterious smile.

Malikai burst out laughing at the boys very forward question. If only everyone else was so forward would life be oh so that much more easy. Sadly this was not the case and for all Malikai knew the boy had taken offense to his laughing. "Pardon my laughter but its not everyday a person comes up to you and asks you for such a...how would you say...large request. Besides I do not even know your name."
He began to reflect more on what the boy had said as he waited for his response. What did he mean by ordered? Who would order a student to take over a school? Not only that but who would want to take over Hiricine? Then he began to think that perhaps this boy would be of some use to him, whoever he was. He would allow the boy to think he was helping him but in fact use him for his own ends. Malikai liked the idea of using this boy who was after all ordered to take over the school. That gave Malikai the means and now even the resources to start even more trouble around the school and have even more muscle for backing. This first week was turning out very well for him as he was making valuable allies that would be of great use to him in the future.
He did however want the answer to that one question first. He made a rule that if he was to help someone he would at least have their name. That way should they cross him he could find them and do what he did best, deal with them. But also here was a boy who was asking Malikai for help he at least owed him a name.

The young man released a light laughter as he heard the stranger's response. The student's loud outburst hadn't flustered the well dressed man one bit. Taking a couple of steps toward the middle of the hallway, sliding through the crowd without the slightest amount of visible trouble, the young man pivoted on his heels to face his interlocutor, still smirking. With a calm tone of voice, he spoke to this seemingly intelligent fellow, his voice easily reaching the youngster's ears even though rows of students separated them.
"Don't worry, there's no offense taken, my good friend. I am actually glad to see that you have a sense of humor. If you didn't, I would be forced to kill you!"
REDUX's face turned eerily serious as he said his last sentence, letting his words make the atmosphere around him freeze - for a second. The smile immediately reappeared as he continued his short speech.
"...kidding. I must thank you for reminding me that we still didn't introduce ourselves to each other. For the moment, you can call me REDUX. And what is the name of the sole member of my audience?"
The eccentric fellow asked with his careless smirk.

When he mentioned Malikai's sense of humor and without he'd be a dead man, he burst out laughing. He was sure he had heard that line in a movie somewhere and was sure he was just doing it as a joke. He was calling Redux's bluff so to speak (OOC: Sorry watching the rounders while I post ;D) there was no way he was even going to touch Malikai. The reason was simply because Malikai held all the cards, he had the information Redux needed and if he didn't he knew where he could find it. As far as Malikai was concerned Redux needed him too much to do anything.
There was no doubt that there were people who could help out Redux more so or just as well as Malikai but Malikai had something up his sleeve that most others didn't. He had a reputation and a name to follow, it would be expected of him to try something and therefore it would take the heat off everyone else. They would spend so much time trying to figure out why Malikai was doing what he did that they would not realize that he had just pulled the ace of spades right out of the bottom of the deck. By using Redux to remove the captain he could deal with everyone else using whatever other connections he could come up with. Keep them looking one way while you work another side. They did not call him the Benedict for nothing.
"The Benedict, at least thats what everyone else at this school calls me save a few." He said with a smile extending his hand toward Redux for him to shake. There was no reason to give Redux his real name if he would not give Malikai his. The difference here was Malikai's name would come up eventually where Redux's would not. Even when knowing this there was no need for the name to come up before it needed too.

"Niiiiiice, I like the ring to that." The mindless fool cheerfully replied as he shook the Benedict's hand, smiling in return. As there hands parted from each other, the newcomer hummed a joyous melody for a moment then grinned. With an inhuman grace, he appeared on his new ally's right side and placed his elbow on the shorter fellow's shoulder. Yet, as he leaned towards him, the Benedict wouldn't feel his weight, as if REDUX was able to keep his balance through some otherworldly method. With a smile that was worthy of a first class salesman, the eccentric youngster made a tempting offer to his new friend.
"Now then, mister Benedict, I am glad to see that you have a very good sense of business. As an added bonus for befriending me, are you interested in becoming a pillar?"
The crazy Middle Eastern man whispered melodiously before taking a step away from the Benedict and facing him, arms slightly extended, his head leaning downward with an expression on his face that could've been translated to: 'how 'bout it?'

Malikai nodded at Redux's approval of his name. Not that it really mattered to Malikai if he would accept the title Benedict for someone he was to work with. Knowing he did however might make things workout much better in the long run.
Redux though taller, felt like nothing as he leaned on Malikai's shoulder to talk into his ear. He had just offered a place of power, the title of Pillar should he Malikai wish it. It was tempting as it would be to most other people in his place. People since the beginning of time have looked for way to get ahead either by being the strongest, most cunning, or best armed. It had been this way with all creatures of this planet since the beginning of time. It just followed our beliefs that someone had to be above everyone else. The king was above a lord, a lord above a knight, a knight above a peasant, and God above them all. Too bad Malikai had no interest in the power, he just liked the sound of removing power, he knew people that would be better suited as Pillars anyways.
"As tempting as that sounds I am not interested in that title or having to defend it everyday. I know people that would be better suited for that type of position anyways." He said in all honesty, the truth could be seen in his emerald contacts should Redux look. "I will help you remove the current situation in the school because I simply do not like it. To what extent I cannot tell you now because I have people helping me that I must talk to first you understand." Malikai at this point pulled out a piece of paper and a pen scribbling down a number before passing it to Redux. 'Call me in two days time, by then I should be able to give you a rough estimate of how much I can be of assistance with my own contacts and partners. You made a decent choice when you decided to lean on that locker. It is the beginning of the school year so my group is small but it grows and will eventually will be in good shape. As it stands I must leave for class but if anything comes up call that number or just stop by my locker you now know where it is. To that end I'll see you around."
