It looks like the time has finally come. Anyone who's been around in the past year should be able to see that this has been a long time coming, though I've been passed the title at the right time to inform you. Despite all my best efforts, even before accepting adminship, it seems that we've out lived our steady member base. Storylines or not, we just haven't kept up our desired energy, and the membership continually trickles down to nil. Now, while it may seem like its very hard to see any sort of upside in the death of our sexy little board baby, there shine's a beacon of light. Just as Liam forsaw problems with Xin1 and made steps to prepare, certain members, by far with emphasis on John, have continually looked to the future. "Tyler. How will ANOTHER board help this problem?" Oh, true believers, worry not. I'll leave the advertising to John himself, but know that I've already migrated over there, and I encourage you all to do so. So while I have no intention of deleting this board or stopping any current storylines, I'm sad to announce Hircine's Closing. Even so, to me, its never been about the setting. Its always been about playing with this group we've all more or less grown up together with. Peace, Love, and a little bit of Violence, Your friendly neighborhood Admin- Tyler D. Scott Peace out boy scout.

Indeed, having such a discussion is never an easy one, and after all that's happened here at Hircine High, accepting this inevitable end is rough. Still, I'm not here to whine and cry, since my commitment to the site is nothing in comparison to those who stuck around to the bitter end. Instead, as Tyler said, I'm here to offer an alternative to the site's death: another roleplaying site, one influenced by XIN. For the last month or so, I've been working to fulfill this ambition with the help of a strong team of friends - some you'll know, others I hope you soon will come to know. The site is definitely inspired by our experiences here at Hircine High, and a lot of our philosophies have lived on in the site I've helped build, but to make such a board more accessible by the rest of the XIN community, we implemented an entirely new system of "stats" for roleplaying - we call it the "Grades" System. I won't go into much more details, so I'll leave you all with the link and let you decide for yourselves. You'll find the rest of us here, at The Chula Vista Collective. To those coming over, we'll be more than happy to see familiar faces. To those moving on, I personally wish you the best of luck, and thanks for a great experience for the past four years, from Varron Academy to here, Hircine High. It's been a great experience, but now it'll be time for something new. So good luck with the path you choose, and I hope to see you at the new site.

Well, it's been a blast, but I won't be seeing you guys on the next board. I've never been one for stats, finding they slow creativity and cause distortion between a characters limits and abilities. I'm not ragging on you for creating a stat's RPB, after looking over it you seem to have done a good job, it's just not for me.
Like everyone else my life is slowly picking up speed. I've applied to the army/airforce for the Military, the RCMP, and coming up this Tuesday I have interview, followed by my RCMP exam on Thursday. On top of that I've restarted my actual MMA training, not just writing about my influences and knowledge on the subject, but actually training in it. Needless to say I probably spend more time in the gym now then I do my own bed.
So I guess I'll catch you guys around on MSN or Facebook, should I have you added to either one.
If I don't hear from you guys, have fun.

Yeah, it was kinda obvious we were going down this road, personally I was looking forward to work with the new setting, but if the main people don't act and creativity from everyone, including myself, has dropped to zero, there's nothing more to do about it.
I won't go over to a stats based board either, mainly cause I don't like stats and mainly because I'm just done with writing on boards. I've got my own blog going on here in the Netherlands, am quite occupied with my study, after three years I don't have my bachelor grade yet in computer science, so it's time to push a little more time into it... then there's hanging out a lot with friends and my girlfriend... so yeah, apart from clicking my bookmarked hircine link twice a day, I didn't have much time to post anyway...
So yeah, even though my activity has been dropping over the past year anyway, it's been a great time with you all. Actually a lot of the oldies have already left, but for those who are still around and know I've enjoyed the talks with them, thanks for the great time. It's been a fun experience sharing stories from across the world and writing our own roleplay stories, all take care. Also those I've come less close with, I've respected most of you, I think those who've earned it will know so.
All live great lives and never hesitate to talk to me on msn. To finish off in Richard's style:

Hooi, this is still my favourite RP board, and come to think of it my first ever. Varron, as Atom West, must have been about four, five years ago? Jeesus. It's sad to see it go, especially just when i start a new character....
Yeah good times lads, see ya!

I watched the first episode of xin 6 years ago.
I was 13.
I was 14 when I joined Xin 1, that was 5 years ago.
I've watched this character grow for 5 years, he's involved in several other RP's, but here... Yeah.
All the oldies have done everything they've wanted to do. Few newbies hang around.
Peace, then

The first place I ever RP'd at was 552 with Celeste in September 2005. Made waves, became a mod, became an admin, and had to leave because there was too much going on. Came over here with Valencia in December 2006, made waves, temporary mod, and now I'm moving on again. There're lots of people I wish I got to RP with. Especially the folks I dub as "heavy hitters". At the moment, I'm keeping up my studies and voice acting. In terms of RPing, no more XIN for me. I'm now at a Team Fortress 2 RP where I'm RPing as BLU scout Suong (L4D witch + TF2 scout) and RED spy Minou ("Kaveh in TF2 land"). The only real stats you see there are team points as everyone kills each other. MSN still hates me and the connection is crap where I am, but I definitely come on Skype to those who have it. I'll miss y'all~ Tempted to write up an epilogue for Valencia, but... Eh. Not while I'm doing finals.

Damn. I joined XIN before I started High school... so it's only right that I leave this while I'm graduating high school as well.
You know... I always planned a goodbye speech, but now that the time has come, heh... I dunno anymore. Everything that was in my head doesn't seem to matter anymore.
You guys, in actuality, really did help me grow up. I was just a thirteen year old kid who was looking for another thing to excel at. And just like I did in sports or in my studies, it took time but you guys helped me out, and I came out in what was back then, the top. I know for a fact i'll keep in touch with Shamino, so i won't get into that. But, for the rest... I don't wanna say it's sad to see you guys go, since like all things in life we've already been through; we tend to get over some people quickly. I'd like to keep this place as an ooc thing though, but even then no one keeps this section going...
I'm glad that there was no discussion about this, and I'm happy you guys went ahead and made another forum. I haven't checked it out yet, but out of curiosity I will. I was always a fan of stats, its just that people don't take the time to realize what you could do with them. I won't get into it here though... this isn't the place for it. And, heh, at this point i dont think it matters anymore.
No one forget; XIN RPB1 MOTHERFUCKIN RAN THIS SHIT. No did it like us, but you know what? I can't say that. We were the cause of SOOOO many boards copying our templates for character sheets, rules, settings, and even fighting tournaments. Hell, some people even copied our characters! We had an unbelievable run with good times and bad. But, damn man. I'm happy to have been apart of this community. John, or Tyler, one of yous is right; at this point in time it's not just about XIN, but just being together as time goes on.
Lol, you know what; I came in a kid, and I'll leave you guys in the same way =P.
I honestly believe that we did something good with this RPB. No matter the result.
Heh. It's like The ending of Rocky 3 with Apollo Creed and Rocky after the fight with Mr T... "Its too bad we gotta get old, Rock'." "Just keep punching, Apollo... keep punching."
Tyler, everyone...
Stay golden.
You helped make me into who I am today.
Bryan Lancaster, Hyousuke Marukho, Damien Maelstrom, Seige Castillo...
Keisuke Varial, the one who was always to be an older me.

I don't have much to say. I was one of the oldies, I'd like to say that Mel and I came into the first board with a bang (we were in almost every open thread haha). Roleplaying with you all helped me improve my English, my writing skills and even my art skills. I've made some awesome friends too, and some pretty damn good acquaintances.
I'll keep in touch with a few of you for sure. Those who are going to Chula Vista, I'll be waiting. Otherwise, everyone have a good life. It was great meeting and rping with you. <3

I'd like to keep this place as an ooc thing though, but even then no one keeps this section going... ...I would've posted a bajillion things in the OOC if, oh I dunno, if it wasn't considered annoying or spam (since I'm the sort to share links rather than create a debate every 2nd thread). Or if everyone had a pulse.

It's getting close where I've been lurking as long as I have been active. I don't know if I'll join the new board. It's definitely in my bookmarks now. I suck at these good byes so I'll just keep typing what pops into my head. I've been here since I started Highschool..... I think. Although I wasn't part of the original founders I do have some pride in being part of the 2nd generation of roleplayers in xinrb1. I can't even begin to talk about all the things I've seen and have become better because of it. One thing I can definately say though, is that this place has inspired me. Although creative writing is something I'm not following through in college, it's a passion that I have, no doubt fueled by this RP board. So long and thanks for all the fish. -Stewart "Zerreth" Kim P.S. I missed the last photo thread so here's a final photo. It's not the most recent one, but just a reminder that I'm not dead yet. P.P.S I've got a blog up since I needed to write somewhere. Follow me if you want at zerreth.blogspot.com

I was afraid that since Hircine's story is over I'd lose umm.. contact with you, if that makes sense ( i dunno if that's the term for it). So, don't disappear, Val!!! ~Manuel

I'll miss this place, for a lot of reasons. Most of which, other people have mentioned and said much more gracefully than I would have, and I'd rather not just repeat it. Shamino, there's still one thing I've never done. - Pain Killer, Trent Davis, Seth Calloway, Cain Princeton, Vladimir Stukov

By the way... someone has to break the news to Steve and Max (aka Lifepoint1)... this was the second installment to XIN1, so it definitely means a lot. It meant a lot when our original board was erased, but now that we're finally at an end we not only have to tell them to remove our link (or, well, we just close off registration or find any other type of remedy), but we have to tell them of Chula collective (by the way... Chula in relative terms kinda means "slut" in Spanish. depending on the country and how you say it in a sentence... but, yeah, its sexual).
I dunno if you guys notified them already but, i'll leave this to Liam, John or Tyler since it'll make sense. Or for old time sakes Zerreth; i'm sure they'll be glad to hear from their former original VIP forum member.

Everyone but me noticed this instantly ... Damn it.
I never hoped the first board I joined would die.
I heard people who said this place would die pre-Hircine. And well. We kept it going with a strong commitment, but the memberbase dwindled and some of us just got too old to keep up the youthful energy and commitment.
As Pain Killer said, you all said it in a way I can't even hope to copy. But why not try.
You were definitely all better writers than me, but at least that didn't mean you excluded me from the fun. I recall my first ever post I wrote. Donar, a ninja in a tree. Hahah, I had made no bio. My English sucked balls. And yeah. I was kicked in the balls for that mistake. That was almost 4 years ago.
4 years. Man. Almost seems like yesterday I started here. Now, I consider my English average, but I still seem to have a problem with not ignoring the rules. (Yet... You made me a moderator. Interesting)
Enough nostalgia.
