The more of you who come to Paradigm, the more ready we are. Forgot to laugh at this one. Sorry man that forum is way too try hard. The rules make it seem more like a D&D game without the mechanics to support it, and superhero RP? Dimeadozen and done a trillion times, and there's several video games for that that offer a customization and variety like never before. This board, and other boards like it, and unlike it, are all dead for the same reason- it was a generational thing, and the younger generation would rather do ponies and be furries than stretch their own imagination. Paradigm Academy actively encourages people go out and get A-List hollyweird actors to look like their characters, offering no originality or spark of imagination whatsoever in terms of literary description (or lack thereof, which can often be just as well) What we had may have Xin based, but it went wildly off course of that basically after the show ended. There were some living, breathing people around here- not hollyweird folks who walk through walls. This may come off as snide, but the caliber of the roleplayers for your site no longer remember the link to here. But hey. If you niggas be having fun, that's what counts.

I wouldn't say avoid. I actually completely forgot you lived here. I'm still sad we never had a Shamino/PK fight. Even if I lost, it'd still be something to take off my RP bucket list. .... I don't really have an RP bucket list, but you know.

Paul, how long did you even scope out my board before you decided to poop on it?

Paul, how long did you even scope out my board before you decided to poop on it? About two hours of lurking. Tried to start from oldest threads, glance at middle threads, and then look at recent developments. If it's your cup of tea it's your cup of tea- and I'm glad someone as talented such as yourself is running it- because that's the only explanation I can see of having that place going. Still, I think it's beneath your writing merits. You're capable of much more original stuff, and more importantly able to break down complex, original writing for the masses to chew on and also try. You're an RP leader in a very meh setting that has a leash of about 100 centimeters in length. Okay, an hour and a half.

I think the Xin thing died out because the series was never all that great in the first place, and the idea honestly started becoming stagnant. We'd run through pretty much all the ways that story could go between the boards that were still around by the time Chula died, and something new had to be done.
You got anything to toss in about how things could be improved, or are you just interested in tearing everything down?

I do understand what you're saying, but I think its the simplicity that helps keep it going. That said, I think a lot of it is original, but that simplicity is key. Many people stop posting on RPBs because it becomes more work than fun. Remove that element and boom. Activity.

I still watch Episode 13 once in a while, that shit between Xin and Legend gets me pumped.

I can't believe how this place is making me feel old... To think that it was all the way back in 2005 I joined the original board and here I am again, looking at the remnant of Xinrp 1 and I remember the good times.
In any case, Kvist, still lurking.

Don't like the new layout. Just glad this didn't get deleted.
Isn't it amazing the kinds of dreams we had all those years ago, and now most of the members are now flung to the far parts of the planet through the U.S Military?
Hell, one of our own even Voice Acted in a popular video game. I still wonder how she feels when she comes across a well drawn naked picture of their voice acted character.

And mildly off-topic, I can't help but wonder what Paul would say to the fact that our 'dull boring and uninspired' superhero roleplay is still running to this day. with admittedly strong paraphrasing of his original wording

Probably something along the lines of "I'm glad you guys are having fun. It's still lame though."

Furthermore, a brief look at Raylan Givens--- I mean a totally original character's posts, I don't see a single one which contains the bare minimum 5 sentences which can be called a 'paragraph.' That's some good work.

Wow....So many years since I last came here. I'm actually kinda surprised that people still lurk, even if periodically. Nostalgia fuel by the bucketload.
I hope you all are well, for those who may read this. The years I spent RP'ing here are fond memories, and the people I shared it with are remembered as such.
....Okay, so I -may- have been drinking. A lot. Sue a guy for getting whimsical and skimming through the past.

Especially Ein, Manuel, and whoever else I spoke to on a regular basis. 'Valencia' too, because I never got to know her well enough to use her real name. I hope real life didn't kill the spark of creativity that resided, no matter how large or small, in everyone that participated here all those years ago. Don't let life ever stop you from thinking how we used to back then, even if you only allow yourself to do so for a little while. The world, especially today, has a tendency to suck the creativity out of our souls.

Lol @ lurkers. Who would ever come back here? I just want you all to know that I thought about punching each of you in the face today. My inner monologue had very convoluted sentence structure and a lot of big words to make the mental post sound smart. Miss you guys.
