Nickname: Often referred to by his surname, Vimes.
Nationality: English
Age: 17
Class: Junior
Weight: 180
Height: 6’1”
Build: Gene stands at a reasonable 6’1”. His body type is a mix of Endomorph and Ectomorph. His shoulders are reasonably broad and his body tapers towards his waist giving him the upside down pyramid figure of must Endomorphs. However his body is by no means bulky, instead he prefers to keep a taught lean muscular physique having particularly long arms and legs. Gene likes to maintain a lean muscle mass always keeping his body fat between 6% and 10%.
Attire:
Upper Body: Gene’s taste in clothes leans more to the smart than the casual. For the majority of the time he can be found wearing white or black long sleeved shirts, often with the top button undone. If the top button is not undone then he will be wearing either a black bootlace tie or a slender tie neutral in colour. Over his shirts he wears a charcoal black duster jacket that is cut to come just above the knee. The jacket he had custom made to fit his physique perfectly offering freedom of movement for maximum comfort in all situations. The material is a light but durable canvas material capable of withstanding even heavy wear and tear.
Lower: Gene likes to wear boot cut trousers, like his shirts they are usually neutral in tone ranging from black and greys to brown, like his jacket his trousers are often custom made to fit him perfectly. His trousers are always accompanied with a leather belt, always brown or black leather; the black leather belts have silver buckles in a variety of motifs whilst the brown leather belts have brass buckles, again in a variety of motifs. His favourite being a belt showing the full house of aces over eights which he has in both brown and black. Gene’s footwear varies from biker boots to brogues; he favours dark browns and black leather.
Eye colour: Gene has Acquired Heterochromia. He was born with two brown eyes, but at the age of 5 he sustained a rather nasty blow to the side of his head in a freak play ground accident. His eye socket was fractured and the sheer force of the blow burst the capillaries in his right eye leaving it completely bloodshot the extent of the damage was such that the blood seeped into the iris and permanently bleached the colour from it leaving his right iris a grey/blue whilst his left eye brown.
Hair: Mid-Long dark brown hair. For most of the time he simply lets his hair fall naturally after brushing it. However from time to time he will style it in a range of styles, but never tied up.
Distinguishing Features:
His Heterochromia is his most outstanding feature due to the stark contrast of his eye colours.
Perhaps his only other notable feature is his long powerful limbs. Even for his height Gene has long arms and legs that are taught and wiry with muscle that only accentuates the fact.
Habits:
He likes to chew fresh mint leaves, rather than chewing gum.
From time to time he can be found smoking thin cherry paper cigars.

Important Details
History:
The first 12 years of Gene’s life were spent in England. His mother was a doting housewife who dabbled in the stock market in her spare time and was actually quite successful at it adding to the overall family income. His father was an up and coming name in marketing and worked primarily from home with the occasional hiatus to London his job was extremely well paid and as a result Gene’s family life was quite unremarkable there were no major struggles and despite his families wealth they chose to live in a quiet suburban area in a semi dethatched house. Gene of course benefitted from this in many ways, without financial restraint he was able to indulge in a number of hobbies and often his days were spent roaming from one club to another, especially during the summer holidays, this constant roaming from one environment to another meant that from an early age Gene became used to change and found it quite easy to make new acquaintances.
The only real scare in his young life came at the age of 5 in a playground game of baseball. At his school there was one child in particular who was larger and stronger than the rest, despite his brutish appearance he was something of a gentle giant. This child’s name was Alex and it was his turn to bat. As usual Alex was hitting the ball with gusto all over the playground. Unfortunately for Gene he was standing behind Alex during the backswing of one of his many home runs. The bat smashed into Gene’s eye and knocked him flat out on his back. Despite the force of the blow and the intense pain that consumed his mind Gene did not lose consciousness nor did he cry or utter any sound of discomfort. Something his teachers and his parents would later comment on and commend him on being so brave, simply putting it down to shock. It was during these moments that Gene realised up until this point he had not really experienced pain physically or emotionally and rather than reacting to it in a negative manner his mind seemed to be quite capable of accepting the sensation for what it was without going into sensory overload. From that day on Gene had no fear of pain and simply assumed others were able to tolerate it as well as he was.
Gene’s recovery was a long an arduous process. His face fortunately did not require surgery. However the right hand side of his face remained in a mask for six months while the bone healed properly. His right eye had suffered massive trauma and was completely blood shot for the duration of this period, the extent of which was so bad that the blood had gotten into the iris. Genes vision in that right eye was permanently damaged and although he is not blind in that eye the vision is always slightly blurred something he struggled with at first, but something that in time he has grown accustomed to and learned to live with. As well as this Gene has another permanent reminder of that date that stays with him as Gene now has Acquired Heterochromia meaning his right iris has permanently been bleached of pigment due to the blood getting into the iris. This has left him with the natural brown iris in his left eye and blue/grey iris in his right eye.
The only other notable moment from this time in his past was his introduction to Krav Maga, something his father practiced in his spare time and began to teach his son the basics of before finally taking him to his first class at the age of ten.
At the age of 12 Gene and his family upped sticks and headed out west to San Francisco, California. A company there had hired his father and had already bought his family a house and car to help ease them into their transition. With Gene getting older and being mature for his age his mother finally decided to get her own small business set up from home, using her savings from her stock market trades she began her own buying and selling business in unique accessories for women, this venture flourished and has ended up with his mother now owning a rather popular store in the city. Since reaching 15 Gene has been putting in the hours between school and study helping his mother at the store as a sales assistant using his easy charm to win over customers and guarantee repeat business.
Gene has been fortunate enough to enrol at Hircine High, a place where he gathered a small group of friends and was quite content to spend his school days in quiet solitude his freshman year was rather quiet, he spent a lot of time at the climbing wall or in the library studying making a few friends but choosing not to make waves like some of the other students. His quiet and calm nature kept him out of trouble and thus off the radar of the likes of the pillars and the other ‘fighters’ of the school. His sophomore year had followed much the same path, the arrival of the notorious ‘Varronites’ caused quite a lot of conflict, but this was something he was able to avoid. There had been the odd occasion where he had come close to a run in with one or two of the students but he simply chose to smile and walk away rather than throw himself head long into something that would only get him recognised. With the Varronites came Paragon, a place that thankfully removed many of the more sadistic natured students and put them into an institution where they could tear themselves to pieces. Gene had no need or desire to go to that school so he simply gave it a wide birth and continued living his life out of the public focus.
Now in his Junior year Gene has started to mingle more with the masses, taking more of an interest in people has left him open to more interaction. Despite this his laid back mannerisms have still been successful in keeping out of trouble and any fight he has had, he has been sure to leave directly afterwards to avoid the attention of those higher up in the hierarchy of the school.
Recently Gene’s life had been turned upside down, just as he was about to set foot into Hircine a bomb went off. What ensued was chaos and his memories of that day are hazy at best. He does remember picking himself off the floor and seeing two bloodied students next to him who he administered first aid to. The next few hours he spent roaming in and out of the school helping evacuate anyone stuck inside the wreckage. Gene had literally worked himself to the point of exhaustion simply ignoring the pain in his muscles and his lungs as he tried to help the emergency services. Eventually his body broke before his mind and he collapsed.
A Month later Gene was discharged from the Hospital and went back to his small flat in the City where he continued his studies preparing for the opening of the much hyped New Hircine High.
Fighting Style:
Gene has been practicing Krav Maga from the age of 10. As a result his fighting style is attack oriented; his strikes are fast and always aim for one of the many vulnerable spots on the body. Krav Maga is all about self preservation and neutralisation, he relies on his bodies natural reflexes and his natural speed to avoid damage whilst aiming to get into offence as soon as possible. Gene will utilize any part of his body that he deems suitable at the time ranging from punches and kicks to knees, elbows and headbutts. He also likes to manipulate soft spots such as ears and fingers.
Strengths:
Gene is an extremely fast individual, combined with his naturally sharp reflexes this makes him an extremely difficult opponent to handle. Gene’s mind is also as fast as his body and due to his calm demeanour this enables him to think quickly making him excellent in read and react situations. Gene also has massive stamina levels these are due to the nature of the training employed by Krav Maga and his love for activities such as free running and free climbing. Although he is not overtly strong in a weightlifting sense his strength to weight ratio is very high and his grip strength is phenomenal.
Weaknesses:
Gene’s peripheral vision in his right eye is extremely limited making him more vulnerable to strikes from this direction. Gene relies heavily on his speed and the accuracy of his strikes to cause damage to his opponents. His blunt force damage is not going to be as high as the more overtly strong fighter. Genes fighting style is no nonsense and he does not believe in elaborate attacking techniques as a result he poses little threat with techniques such as aerial strikes. Gene’s brutality in close combat often goes against him because he prefers all out attack he is bound to receive more blows and he rarely leaves a fight without having taken some form of injury himself. Gene also suffers sporadic migraines in his right eye, an after effect of the trauma that he suffered, these migraines often blind him in his right eye and the pain is so severe that it quite often renders him incapable of anything other than sleeping. These migraines have no known trigger, but he can tell when one is coming on because he gets static-like white dots in the vision of his right eye.
Note:
Gene lives on his own in a small two bedroom apartment. He is currently looking for a room mate to share the rent and bills with.
As well as working at his mothers shop Gene has opened his own hand car wash and car valet business on a major road leading to the city. He currently employs 5 people at the car wash and earns a steady income. (His father set up the business for him and is using the business to teach his son to become self sufficient.)
