Name: Trevor Engel
Alias: Blade
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
Weight: 183lbs
Height: 6'4"
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: German, Czech
Hair: Trevor's hair hangs down in front of his face, is red and of medium-short length.
Eye color: Grey
Appearance: Trevor wears an instantly recognizable outfit of a black half-jacket (slightly cut off above the waist with a white crescent moon on the back) over a long white button-down shirt with the sleeves open, red leather pants that are tied together just below the knees with a red belt, and a black leather collar around his neck. He also wears a plain silver ring around his left middle finger. The significance of the ring (if any) is unknown.
Personality: The thing about Trevor is that he has two personalities.
Trevor: He is a pretty laid-back guy that rarely says much, but when he does speak it is fairly esoteric and absolutely necessary. He keeps a fairly stoic front and if any emotion is ever shown, it is most often anger but that is few and far between. There seems to be a strong disconnect with Trevor and the real world, his reactions to things that would cause anyone else shock or horror, he treats it as if it were as normal as a cloud passing across the sun.
Blade: Trevor's alter-ego. He is extremely merciless and sadistic to the point of insanity. There is nothing that can hold him back from giving his opinion on matters, his meanings often getting confused due to his thick sarcasm and cynicism. He angers very quickly and is prone to random outbursts over the smallest things. It is rare that he is seen expressing any facial expression outside of madness.
History:
Trevor was born to a fairly normal military family and lived on base with his mother, father, and, later on, his younger brother. Life went on at a military step and was stable with income coming from both his father's officer and instructor salary as well as his mother's accountant income, so life was lead easily. By first grade, his father began to drink heavily, and by the third grade, his parents had separated. After the divorce, a custody battle ensued and both parties were granted two weeks a month, alternating accordingly. Due to this, Trevor was forced to live with his alcoholic father two of four weeks a month and with his mother the other half. His younger brother was lucky enough to stay with his mother, never having to see his abusive father.
While with his mother, things were fine and went smoothly, but things were much different when with his father. Trevor's father constantly pushed him like a drill sergeant and put him through intensive training during the day but during the night, he beat him in drunken rages. The combination of stress from training and the physical abuse created a riff in Trevor's mind, making a complete disconnect from his conscious mind to forge a new person that could take such great torment. This new entity called himself "Blade."
Come the age of sixteen, Trevor had spent most of his time running drills while with his father and secluding himself to his room or sneaking out to find fights or other more violent outlets --like arson-- while with his mother. Blade was, inevitably, beginning to take total control of Trevor's conscious mind. His life soon turned in a completely different direction one summer night while staying at the base with his father. As per usual routine, Trevor's father got home from Basics for the night and began drinking and ordering his son around as if he were still in front of recruits. The more he pushed Trevor, the more he drank and subsequently the more aggressive he became to the point of punishing any mistake with lashes from his belt. After a couple hours of this abuse, Trevor's mind finally snapped and Trevor was no more; Blade had taken over to protect his alter-ego. Trevor took up a barbell and beat his father until he was unconscious. This, however, was not enough for the bloodlusty Blade as he tore a cable from the compact pro gym and throttled his father to death -- as if the severely bleeding head wound would not have bled out. After months in juvie and a lengthy legal process the court granted him a plea of insanity and ordered him into intensive care.
He was transferred to Canyon Manor where he was restricted to his room under constant supervision because he had become too violent and volatile to be allowed the privileged free time in the yard. The only time he was actually allowed out of his room was to be transferred down the hall for an hour to meet with his personal psychiatrist. Over these two years and intensive psychiatric care, Trevor began to take back some control and by his eighteenth birthday, his psychiatrist felt comfortable with his recovery and released him.
Since his release, he enrolled himself at Paragon, a newly opened school that seemed to draw upon the most violent and chaotic of the student populace of San Francisco. What he and many others would find is that without constant monitoring and medication, Blade is slowly coming back to take full control again...
Fighting Style: CQC (Close Quarters Combat)
Close Quarter Combat teaches a person to use any part of their body as a weapon in any environment and how to use any modern day weapon as a tool of self defense. Weapon systems used include improvised knives, batons, firearms etc.
Trevor generally uses CQC in a defensive manner, utilizing his opponent's energy and violence against them. He mainly utilizes locks and submission grapples to end fights quickly and none-fatally. If the opportunity arises, he may use crude weaponry such as an improvised baton from a broomstick or knife from a shard of glass for example; however, this is only in extreme cases.
On the other hand, Blade is straightforward and aggressive in his take on combat. He uses his endurance to push through the pain of his opponent's attacks. He is violent and malicious in his intent will most likely use an improvised weapon to cause serious damage to his opponent. His strength and size give him advantage especially in grappling and ground fighting, but prefers to end the fight as quickly and bloody as possible.
Strengths: Trevor is quite the flexible fighter, having extensive training in military CQC. He is strong and has a high endurance from the conditioning he was put through since a young age. His strength and size give him advantage especially in grappling and ground fighting. His knowledge of weapons and military techniques and tactics give him a strong advantage in battles when he is coherent.
Weaknesses: The one thing about Trevor is that he cannot adequately balance his speed and strength for himself, he is either quick or strong and is rarely able to perform an attack that contains both stats at average capacity. His mental conditioning forces him to fight past the pain and push himself further than what he should, making some serious wounds near fatal. His movement is restricted due to the leather belt tying his legs together at the knees.
