History: She was raised in an orphanage in Detroit, Her mother and father were both underage, and gave her up. She was very aware of this from an early age, the orphanage she grew up in was quite cheap, and strict. She found it difficult to make any friends at all. She had a huge fear of abandonment, since she had no parents, or any parental figures in her life. She got into fights often.
She moved to a low budget, boarding school, where the boys and the girls were separated, where she finally made a few friends. She started to get rid of her subconscious fear of abandonment. Her personality quickly changed into adolescence, changing from quiet, conceit, and lonesome, too open, playful, but daft. She did not attract much attention in her school. The 'little girl' of her class. She was passing at mostly C's and B's, she dressed smart-casually, she did not do anything to stand out at all.
There was a very eventful day in her life. There were different playgrounds foe each gender, separated by a barred metal fence. It felt like a prison. As she moved further into puberty, and started to develop along with the rest of her friends, she began to hang out around that fence. There was an area, behind the wall of classrooms, and the fence, which was almost always free from teachers. She met a boy called Adam. He was a rebel, the unspoken leader of the small gang of boys. He hardly spoke, but when Melissa came with the group of girls, he talked to her. He took a liking to her in particular.
She learned from her. A month in, and he offered her a cigarette. She coughed, and spluttered first time, but learned to enjoy it, she had too, he liked it. They passed the cigarette between themselves, tasting each other lips in the filter, breathing the fire into their lungs.
She went to the fence again, as usual, except none of the boys were there that day. Little did they know they had broken in, and locked themselves into the principals room. They held a CD player to the PA system, and played out some hard rock, proclaiming rebellious statements against the school and the principal. It was such music, everyone started chanting with the music, completely stopped by the shuddering sound of a door being slammed down, and the PA switching off.
The next few months were hard. The school had decided to set up more teachers around the school yard. The days hanging out at the fence were over. It started driving people crazy. She started sneaking out of her room at nights, and meeting with the boys, Adam in particular.
They started talking to each other. They both hated the school, the city, the entire state. They talked about how when Adam was eighteen, he was getting out of there, going somewhere, California, San Fransisco, somewhere real, somewhere better. Melissa wanted to go to, she asked him. He smiled, nothing needed to be said. He said as soon as he was eighteen, he would sneak her out, and take her somewhere else.
Two months it was, two months until she could have got out of there. He started raising money, through means unknown to Melissa. He started becoming more involved in gang activity. Two months it would have taken, if he was not shot in a gang battle. It was over, her release was over. She stayed in school for the two months, ignoring everyone around d her, grieving her lost boyfriend, her lost life.
The day came, the day she should have been out of here. And hell, she was getting out of there. She took her bedsheets, and climbed out the window, as she used to do... to meet Adam. A teacher spotted her. She turned round, and kicked him very hard in the genatles, then poking him in both eyes. She ran out the school, and headed out. She found a school which would accept her, which was odd given the circumstances, that was Hircine.
Fighting Style: She is not a fighter in any sense. She has never studied a martial art, only seen films, and read books. Her fighting is crude, and dirty, but effective. She has good instincts, it's just they have never been honed. She is a gymnast, and very flexible, so she usually uses a range of kicks, and holds or submissions.
Strengths: Her strengths all lie in her anatomy. As said, she is a gymnast, and very flexible so she has a range of moves, and attacks. Her balance is also excellent, so she very rarely makes mistakes. She is very light, allowing quick dodges, and high jumps.
Weaknesses: She has almost no knowledge of fighting, or martial arts, it is all primal instincts, and films. She also has a very low muscle mass, so her attacks do very little damage.
ooc: Sorry about the strengths and weaknesses... i don't really know anything about fighting ;D
