Name: Alyssa Pearce
Nickname: Aly, Alice
Nationality: British
Age: 16 (Sophomore)
Birthday: 7th October
Starsign: Libra
Weight: 132lbs
Height: 5`6"
Appearance:
Body: Although keeping a 'slender' build as the base form, years of training have toned her muscles to a more healthy shape while maintaining feminine curves. She does not really resemble a fighter, until you see how well toned her stomach, thighs, and arms are. Her face is oval, the cheekbones moderately defined. She is what her mother would call an 'English Rose;' her skin milky-pale, while her cheeks are naturally rosy and her pert lips a soft shade of pink. Her beauty is natural and youthful, but not overdone, unless she applied the relative make-up to enhance her features. What she does hate, is a bad complexion, so even the smallest blemish is soon concealed by the most invisible of foundations. She also refuses to wear fake tan despite what the fashion guru's say. She has no scars.
Cosmetic: Alyssa tends to very vaguely follow the latest fashions, preferring to maintain a neat but unique style of clothing. It can only be described as toned down posh-punk-rock meets slightly preppy schoolgirl. She favours skirts over jeans, and shirts over t-shirts. Occasionally, she'll be daring enough to bare her stomach, but in truth, she dresses to match the occasion. For example; why button up to win the eye of an admirer? There are times when cleavage or bare skin are needed, and times when just jeans and sneakers will suffice. Many items in her wardrobe are, however, designer labels, but several are customised, or more fit to be see on stage. As a collector, she has a large collection of clothing and accessories, some of which, have yet to be shown or admired in public. Her ears are pierced once, and so is her bellybutton, but she only wears a ring there if it's on show. When it comes to jewellry, she will only wear silver or white gold, and favours rings and chokers necklaces in particular. Though she doesn't yet have a tattoo, it's her desire to get one, once she's decided what and where.
Eye color: Medium, chocolate-brown, under well-trimmed, arched dark brows.
Hair: Naturally dark chestnut brown, but highlighted in random places, with a medium brown tone, to add depth and some degree of fashion. Her latest cut however, is edgey and daring. The fringe is long and thick, easilly able to cover her eyes. However, the remaining bangs are cut in a far more random and 'choppy' style, leaving a more, androgynous, punk-rock edge to the style. The longest bangs reach her collarbone, but the cut at the back is short. Despite liking this style, Alyssa is growing her longer hairstyle back gradually.
Other Information
Personality: At a first glance, Alyssa is just your average, slightly rebellious teenager, who just so happens to have fantastically wealthy parents. As a rich kid, it doesn't really matter what her personality is, she manages to be popular wherever she goes, simply because mommy and daddy would buy anything for the precious daughter. For some, sick reason, this simple fact attracts people to her, like worker bee's to a flower. But dig deeper, and find that behind her snobbish, stuck-up rich brat farce (just to satisfy that stereotype), is a very calculating, and very intelligent young woman. Patience is once of her virtues, to some extent, as is her ability not to care what other people think of her, along with impulsive tendancies. A teenager far beyond her years, she beleives herself capable of doing whatever she pleases, and more importantly, getting away with it. A 'femme fatale' one might say, she enjoys nothing more than toying with people, their emotions especially. Emotions are fickle things, she knows this from experience, and has therefore learnt to 'tame' her own, to unleash the relative emotion to match the occasion. It's easy for her to cry or laugh at will, or feel fake sorrow, just for the sake of forcing another to play her little games. Boredom is her enemy, and life is often boring unless she makes it exciting. The world is not her oyster, but rather, her own little chess game. Nothing is so satisfying than to see the rook or king fall. Pawns are meager, fast entertainment. It's the kings she is interested in. For power grants her pleasure beyond any wildest sexual fantasy. Power through theft, and ownership, of something which once belonged to another. That is something money cannot buy and therefore, her greatest ambition.
Habits: Nicotine addiction, and caffine addiction. Also likes to collect things; anything of some value or meaning will do just fine. As a child, she was an avid bufferfly collector, but this has severely developed into a case of keeping scrapbooks of random findings, and in the case of being rich, she will buy odd little trinkets just for the sake of owning them. Yet, the need to 'collect' has also lead to in the most severe cases, possessive and obsessive personality disorders.
Hobbies: A member of any major drama and theatre society/club, Alyssa loves literature especially, and is infact an avid reader and actress. Her favourite book is 'The Talented Mr.Riply.' One might call acting another of her addictions; sometimes it's har to pluck her real character, from those she impersonates. Some say they never really knew the real Alyssa, since her character is so, changeable. Back home in jolly old England, she also enjoyed all high society hobbies, but especially horse-riding, lacrose, fencing, archery, fox hunting, duck shooting, and chess.
Extracurricular: Drama, Gymnastics, Archery, Fencing, Chess
Favourite subjects: English Literature, Drama, Art Theory, History, Biology, Phsychiatry
Important Details
Fighting Style: Only because Alyssa had a hired personnal trainer, does she know the basic concepts of practiced and accepted gym fighting styles. She took up kickboxing and tai-kwon-do, as a source of venting her anger and frustrations during difficult periods of her life. Alyssa doesn't really beleive in using violence to solve things, since it's in her opinion, a primitive option used by primitive males, who lack the art of conversation and intelligence. However, this doesn't mean she rules out getting physical. If threatened, she wouldn't hesitate to use her skills, nor would she hesitate to use them if she felt they would benefit her to overpower a certain, obstacle. Her style therefore, relies on fast yet strong kicks, and the rapid changing of stances to confuse the enemy. Her leg muscles able to withstand the strain of the two combined vigorous sports, due to her training. This isn't to say she can't throw a punch either, but her strength lies in her legs, not in her arms. The majority of her arm training, is to block attacks above the waist, leaving her lower body free to attack. Through gymnastics and trampolining at school, she is also very flexible, which is also an added bonus in several circumstances. Her fascination and skill in fencing, has left her with a fascination of sharp objects, and the damage such a simple object can do. That, and her devious personality, mean it's more likely she would use a penknife, or even just a ballpoint pen, to gain the advantage faster. There is no honour in her style, just pure survival at any cost.
Strengths: As mentioned above, her leg muscles are well trained, and she is incredibly flexible. These two strengths mean she is both fast and agile in her movements. Her stamina is also well training, leading to her also being quite an adequate runner. Her real strength is her intelligence, meaning she is more likely to utilise and use her surroundings, rather than waste time kicking and getting bruises from blocking.
Weaknesses: What Alyssa isn't however, is very strong. She can kick far better then she can punch, but to deal enough damage, several attacks must be dealt in succession, and if a particular combo is interrupted, she might find herself vulnerable to a surprise attack. She also doesn't have much knowledge of grapple attacks and holds, meaning she would have to use her agility to attempt to scramble out of such a position. Her body is not exactly very muscular, meaning she would not be able to withstand too much of a physical beating. Though mind over matter might numb the pain, momentarilly.
History: It's debatable if any child raised in the society of the Pearce household would ever turn out 'normal.' Harold Pearce met the delectable Judith Maguire one summer's evening, on the pier of St Ives, southern England. It was an instant attraction; both were blessed with success, wit, intelligence, and an undeniable beauty. Only, Harold neglected to mention his two years of marriage, despite the ring Judith had clearly spotted the moment the flirtaton began. The affair began, casual at first. She was a financial business advisor who'd managed to form a very successful company of her own, and he was rapidly becoming a top barrister in his own right. They were too very busy people, but the attraction was magnetic between them, unstoppable. It was inevitable that Harold would eventually file for divorce from his childless first marriage, especially when Judith learnt she was expecting, total accident on her part of course.
Judith was welcomed into the Pearce dynasty of lawyers, doctors and politicians, all high society snobs married to trophy wives. She was no exception, as her pregnancy forced her to hand over the reigns of her business to someone more wanting of it. She focused on being the 'perfect' wife and mother, becoming more like the trophy wives she despised so much. When her first child was born, it was the perfect day. A son for her husband, and a family heir, just like he and the rest of his family wanted and expected. Alexander Ronald Pearce, after his grandfather and father, as tradition expected in the family. Ronald, of course, expected his wife to 'breed' more offspring, and so, the second child was born one and a half years later. Alyssa Judith Pearce, after her grandmother and mother. Both children where severley spoilt; Alex forced to train as a young master of the household, while Alyssa was the little princess / spoilt brat. She got everything she wanted, while her mother slaved over maintaining the household to a high standard. Soon, everything became too little, and Alyssa began to rebel. Note she was only five at the time. With her mother expecting the third child though, something had to be done. There was no way she wanted another brat stealing all her attention from her. So she did everything she could to make her mother's life hell. She left her toys out for people to trip over, she pulled a tantrum over everything she could. Basically, she was a nightmare. When the stress of it all caused Judith to miscarry, Ronald decided that enough was enough.
And so, the era of counselling, and home schooling, began. Alyssa, accused of having Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) was placed on medication to supress her raging emotions. In addition to this, she was forced to see a child counsillor once a week, along with a personal tutor, to teach her advanced ethics. It was concluded her brain needed something to focus on, since she was easilly bored of distracted, thanks to being so spoilt. It started as a trip to the countryside, and a lesson on bugs and nature, but developed into a fascination with the little creatures. Alyssa began to hunt them down, jab them with little needles, and store them in specially made storage cases. Then each bug would be labelled; she'd research it and everything. But never would she take two of a kind, what point was there in that? They had to be singular, as if extinct, and therefore, pricesless. More importantly, they were hers. By the age of ten, she'd very briefly gone through a stage of taxidermy, but Judith felt it was unwise to allow a child so young so have such a fascination with storing the dead. So in order to attempt to cure her daughter of this strange, addiction, she thought it wise to send her off to an all girls boarding schools.
So began the era of schooling. Having only her quiet and nerdy brother as a companion, Alyssa had played by herself, meaning when she was first introduced into the school society, she didn't mix well with the other children. They didn't understand her, since she wasn't into girly things like them, and had a strange fascination with insects. So naturally, they bullied her, quite severely. Alyssa complained to her parents, but when they couldn't help, she resorted to other methods of dealing with the bullies. No, she didn't break out into tears anymore, because they would only laugh at her displayed weakness. No, she had learnt the hard way, that this was not the way to act. Instead, she found that there were nastier, more malicious ways, to get revenge. It started off amateur; a pin on the chair for example, or a pin in the inner shoe. But then she grew more ambitious; bleach instead of shampoo, worming tablets instead of paracetomol, a collection of porn magazines in place of text books in people's schoolbags. Nothing to severely harm, just an injury to people's pride. Soon, people began to bend to her will, frightened of what she'd do next. By the time she was thirteen, Alyssa had a small group of close-knit friends, whom she trusted only enough to share some of her ideas with. But they were also her fall-out girls. If ever trouble was pinned on her, one of them would go down for it instead. She went from the victim, to the biggest bully of the school, and gained some sick pleasure in the power that came with it. But fellow students became easy targets. No...teachers were more challenging. When she managed to get one teacher fired, by placing homosexual pornography in her office, it occured to her how wonderful it felt, to finally get back at adults. Their world was so easy to invade afterall; who could ever suspect a mere child? And one so innocent as herself...
The era of fighting against adults became her new obsession. If an adult made a mistake, she made sure she wounded their pride, by correcting them immediately. She began to advance her general knowledge, so she might better the brains of her elders. Her mother was a walkover; it seemed her brains had deteriorated over the years, leaving her a shell of her former self. But the father...he was still an obstacle. Strict and precise in his ways, though he loved his daughter, he knew she was not the innocent little princess he wanted her to be. It finally happened that she was caught trying to accuse a male teacher of abusing her, but it was her biggest mistake to expect her father not to defend a lifelong friend of the family. When he sided his friend over his daughter, Alyssa lost her sense of control. Surpressed emotions ran wild, as she reacted in anger to not getting things the way she wanted them to be. In the peak of her outburst, she set fire to her father's office at home, and that, was the final straw. She was still thirteen.
Diagnosed with an anger management problem, Alyssa was given a personal trainer, while her parents struggled to repair the damage caused in the home, both physical and mental. Their marriage almost in shambles, they both decided a break was in order, leaving Alyssa under the care of a very strict aunt, Ron's sister to be exact. The evil woman placed Alyssa through the training expected of a Victorian timeline. Forced to act like a little lady, while training at the gym to vent her anger, were two tasks that conflicted severely, and would mould the girl into a proper teenager as she turned fourteen going sixteen. She began to notice boys, and the ways in which she could manipulate them using her body and way of moving and talking. She begged her parents to send her to a normal school, and since her behaviour problems had settled down over the past year, they semi-agreed by sending her to a private school, for both boys and girls. Sexually active after turning fifteen, Alyssa conducted an affair with a teacher, who this time, she would pin down for definate. Nothing gave her more pleasure, than standing up in court and acting like the vicim. Then watching the onslaught this had on the man's family, as he was declared guilty within no time. Even her parents beleived her this time; her acting skills had improved impeccably.
But the school was becoming boring. She needed a new form of entertainment, and began her research on for a new school to terrorise. It was by pure luck and chance, that one boy in her class spoke of a school all the way in America, that his distant cousin had been sent to. A school for delinquents and messed up kids...it was perfect. But when Alyssa's parents laughed at the idea of her wanting to go there, she decided she would have to force them to agree. When a series of attacks on her current school finally ended in her setting fire to the gym, it was no longer the daughter, but now the school board, who were begging the parents to send their daughter to more fitting educational establishment. They even recommended several, and advised that, the further away, the better. A child like Alyssa fed off familar turf; she needed to be placed in a society unfamilar to the one she had grown up within, in order to cure her of her unruly ways.
