Important Details
History:
Born in the Keijo province, he was normal accept for the fact that he was born into a somewhat high status family. They didn’t have money pouring from their brains nor did they have any problems paying the bills. They lived a peaceful life until he turned the age of 3. 3 is the lucky number that most high class families send their children off to apprenticeship or other jobs. They are sent at 3 because that is the beginning stage of learning and family attachment isn't yet developed.
It is tradition that the first son always carries out the job that his father before him had. In this case, Shimizu's father was a Captain in the Imperial Army and that was precisely what Shimizu was supposed to be. He was taken from his parents and sent off to live at the Tung Wen College, also known to others as The Imperial Japanese Military School of Kempei Tai. (Skip forward in time a couple years.)
Shimizu was now the age of 10. He had been at the top of his class at the school since he could remember. Shimizu was getting to the point in his career that he would become what was known as Kempei Tai Captain. This meant in other words that he was going to graduate early and be sent into the army as Captain of the Military Police known as Kempei Tai. This was a great honor. He would graduate at the age of 21 instead of 28 and be the youngest Captain in the schools history.
He was thrilled that he was to become a leader in the military and began to do all that he could to make the cut. He constantly excelled in class and was even sent a letter of honor for his performance from the Emperor himself. To have the Emperor give him thanks was something that most could and would only think of. This made him feel special and help him rise up through the ranks in school. It helped him all the way until he was just about to graduate and things started to go downhill.
Shimizu was sent out of the school for a still unknown reason. Some say that factions in the government to be a bargaining chip in their efforts to take over the empire and get rid of the emperor were targeting him. Whatever the reason, he was sent out of the school at the age of 17 years old. He was so close to making history, but it was out of his reach. It angered him to no end and he wanted to do all that was possible to place a hold on his rank and place, but it was to no avail. He was sent out of the country.
To keep him safe Shimizu was sent to America, but was still promoted to 1st Lieutenant and was given his proclamation of graduation from the Tung Wen College. He never really asked why he was sent away, but he knew that he was lucky to be alive. Now the only thing left for him was to start a new life in the school known as Hircine. He was sent here because the structure was closely related to Kempei Tai.
He was told at all costs to stay alive until it was time for him to be taken back and finish his schooling. Until then, he would have to adjust to the life of a school student in another country. He would have to adapt to a new culture that he had never heard of accept in history books. He would have to learn the way of the American. To him, this was only a tactical exercise. He would know soon enough that this might be a fight for survival also.
Fighting Style: Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan - Open Palm Combat (Not really open palmed.) is a composite style influenced by the Northern Chinese arts, the Southern Chinese arts, and the Okinawan discipline of Karate. He is a 3rd Dan or 3rd degree black belt. He has been a practitioner for 10 years. It's based around speed and smoothness. To be able move fast without having to abruptly stop when switching direction. Punches are aimed to 4 main areas of the body. The face (right under the nose), the sternum (easy to break), the floating rib (as a counter measure if the person is too large to take down), and the groin (don’t have to say much here). Kicks are used, but are rare since most of the forms are based around aiming punches to the face. Blocking is almost the same out of any Chinese based martial art. You have the standard low block and variations with front and back stance. You have composite blocks with both arms in both front and back stance and inside, outside blocks. Elbows are also used and takedowns are of great importance.
Strengths:
Body: His body has been beaten into submission from his instructors at the Tung Wen College. He's been hit with just about anything they could get there hands on accept for sharp objects that they know can do terminal damage to the body. His body from these constant and almost never ending beatings has made his skin extremely tough and pain doesn’t come easily to him. It's almost an after thought in a fight since he's so used to it.
Muscles: His muscular structure is very tight around the bones making the muscles and bones very strong against blunt force trauma. His muscles are constantly in use and being trained and shocked. The term shocked doesn’t mean literally, but that he doesn’t do the same exercise at any given time. He wants to make sure that the muscle is constantly growing and gaining strength.
Fighting: Since being a 3rd Dan in his martial art. He knows most of what people can throw at him when it comes to using any combination of Karate and Korean arts such as Hapkido. His all around fighting is very good. He doesn’t concentrate on just kicking, punching, or defense. He tries to make it so that he is very qualified in every area. He does, though, like to stand up and fight.
Mind: His mind is quite strong also. It's hard to trick him and he's a quick thinker when an obstacle arises in front of him. He's also a multi thinker, which means he can do and think about more than one thing and not get confused or agitated.
Weaknesses:
Body: Those his body is quite strong and less able to feel pain, that is his downfall when coming up against large built power-house type fighters. Since they do move slowly when they come in contact with you straight, they can cause great damage. Since his mind is strong also, he will not acknowledge that something may be wrong and just take it as normal pain or just being weak. He also has a hard time feeling normally since pain doesn’t come easily.
Muscles: Even though the muscle is wrapped around the bone, it's not as strong as a punch that is made for crushing. His bones are somewhat brittle from the constant beatings that he took. The muscles are the only protection besides having to drink lots of milk and take calcium tablets.
Weapons: From a secret meeting gone wrong, he has considered carrying a pistol with silencer, supplied by Shuya Katsumoto.
