at the least, 15 minutes has passed since the last round. Surprisingly, the fights so far haven't been as brutal as the rules would dictate. Do change that, and entertain me.
Ready? Beat the shit out of each other!

OOC: Yaaaay! I've been waiting for this.
IC:
Well, I'm warmed up, I guess.
To be honest, Pain Killer had hoped for his first round fight to be more intense, though he supposed he should be counting his blessings at how well he'd done. After all, the only blows that had landed on him were a few shots to his left wrist, giving him a slight ache to deal with in the second round, but hardly anything to be concerned about. Nevertheless Pain Killer would idly rub his wrist with his fingers, making sure to get the kinks out as he waited in the back room for his second round to start.
"Oi, PK. You're up again."
"Yeah, yeah. I'm comin'."
The youngest Rydell stood up from the bench once more, taking a moment to breathe deeply before walking out the door again. Once again he heard the crowd cheer at the sight of him making his way to the cage, and after straining to pick out a particular voice, he could hear a certain female cheering far louder than anyone else. By this time, however, he'd gotten used to it, and his face remained neutral as he passed through the cage door and headed to the far side.
This better be more challenging than last time. A win here isn't worth anything if I'm up against a pack of weaklings.
His gloved hands fell into the pockets of his trenchcoat, the same one he hadn't bothered to take off last round. However, once he saw his opponent enter the cage, his mood would almost completely change, his lips curling upwards in a full fledged grin at the exciting possibilities of this round.
"...you. Long time no see, Ein."

The image was still fresh in his mind. The smaller boy rolling under and away, Ein's eyes quickly following. The boy turning to look behind him, Ein's body pivoting the large fist lashing out quickly and harshly.
The wet slap as the fist crashed full force in the back of the boy's head, the full weight of the Genaht leader being thrown into the blow. The dull thud as his face smashed into the ground under the force of the impact.
It was the blow that ended the fight, Ein could only hope for another but knew it would not be the case when he saw Adam in the opposite corner of the cage. There would be a small frown to accompany Adam's grin.
Instead of replying to the warm greeting, he would simply remove the black cloth that covered his mouth, exposing the grotesque lack of lips.
There would be a small exhale of breath, a focusing of mind and a thought that would be set to auto loop as his thick boot lifted to begin moving closer to Adam.
It would be a long strided and even step as he moved closer methodically, his arms limber and half way up. Ready to defend. The voice that was formerly his echoing that repeated thought.
We are all made to fall.

Despite being confused at the lack of an answer for the moment, Pain Killer began taking off his trenchcoat, wanting to put forth his best effort against the former leader of Genaht. Just as he was finishing removing the coat, his eyes caught sight of what Ein had been showing him, the lack of lips, something that caused Adam to pause briefly, his grin falling away from his face.
What... the hell?
It was unnerving, to be sure, and it completely cut off any further attempts Pain Killer would make to talk to his opponent. He'd heard of Ein's habit to sew his lips together, but tearing them off altogether? It was a thought that gave him the equivalent of a mental shudder.
Stop it. Focus now, he's coming.
Dropping the trenchcoat behind him, Adam raised his gloved fists towards his face, the right next to his jaw while the left sat in front of his mouth. As Ein was moving closer to him, Pain Killer remained where he was, allowing the other man to close the distance. The moment Ein was just outside of Pain Killer's range, however, the youngest living Rydell would strike. His left foot would suddenly slide forward, a stark contrast to the almost motionless way he had been standing earlier, while suddenly twisting his upper body to the right, his left arm extending and thrusting his fist towards Ein's face in a quick jab.

Ein's eyes would be following Adam's movements and preparations as he edged closer to the larger man. The lipless one was not used to being the smaller man in fights and it was an annoyance and a hindrance for him.
When the fight sprung into action, Ein's right arm would lift to block the quick jab. More importantly, Ein would step forward into the block, aiming to stomp down on Adam's foot and push him back. A simple idea, the Genaht leader was working to get his opponent onto the floor where the height advantage would mean less.
It was the best option for the moment, and one where Ein could still afford to be reactive when Adam would inevitably strike back. The real flexibility of the plan would come into play when Adam made his move, and if Ein could really do anything about it.

OOC: Just assuming you blocked with your forearm. IC: Typical to most opening moves, Pain Killer's jab never struck its intended target, landing instead against Ein's forearm. What stuck out more in Adam's mind, however, was the fact that Ein continued moving into the block, something the larger male attempted to stall slightly by pushing back with his left hand, though his arm could hardly overpower Ein's entire upper body. His right foot slid backwards a few inches, his heel lifting up so that just the ball of his foot remained on the floor. For all intents and purposes, Pain Killer was preparing to simply out-muscle his opponent and push him back. That is, until he felt something slam down on his foot. Pain Killer's eyes couldn't watch everything, and he had missed Ein's foot closing in on his own. However, with the pain and constant pressure on his foot, his instincts demanded that he remove the German tower from his foot. As such, rather than continue to push against Ein's forearm with his left hand, Adam would suddenly release the pressure, pulling the former gang leader's arm away from his body. At the same time, his right hand would thrust forward and down, the fist aiming to strike Ein in the collar bone right below the front of his neck. While Pain Killer would certainly not get full extention with the attack given the rapidly closing distance between them, he was relying on his sheer body weight and the vulnerability of his target to do most of the damage for him. Should his fist land, Adam would continue pushing with that arm, looking to shove Ein backwards, opening the distance and freeing his foot.

Ein's body would slide forward and twist with the sudden release of pressure. Attempting to force his forearm into the cheek of his opponent. It wasn't most perfect attempt, less so when the fist slammed into his collarbone and pushed him back. Still, the German hoped he'd get a little bit of a reaction for it.
Ein's right side would be leading as he took a step back from Adam. A quick short step and he'd be in range, his body twisting harshly and pivoting on that right foot. Left fist swinging out, slightly bent at the elbow, aimed with some precision.
The interesting part would be when Ein bent that elbow further, intentionally forcing his blow to fall short. A split second later there would be the slap of Ein's fist against his chest and a threatening yell as he charged forward into Adam, his shoulder low to rob the man of his balance by undermining his center of gravity.
Ein hoped the taller man's hand would be forced attempting to counter or dodge his perceived strike, then charge when he had done so to push him to the ground. Ein needed the Pain Killer on the floor and would work hard to get him there.

The forearm would fly straight and true, though admittedly with less force than originally intended due to Ein being hit backwards at the same time. Nevertheless, the self-proclaimed Pain Killer would still be forced to deal with throbbing pain in his cheek, at least for the moment. Rather than back off to protect himself, Adam would instead blade ahead, looking to press his advantage as the distance was opened, however briefly.
As Ein stepped forwards once again, the Rydell boy's right hand would slide up from his opponent's chest, grabbing at Ein's throat in a one-handed chokehold. Even if such a hold were to go unhindered, it likely wouldn't manage to cut off the German's air supply completely, but then again, that was not Pain Killer's intent at the moment. Instead, he was looking to hold Ein's head roughly in place for the strike that would soon follow.
Time to see who's tougher.
While Pain Killer did see the elbow seemingly heading his way, he purposefully ignored it as he threw his left fist forward in a hook, aimed for the side of Ein's skull. This was the very reason he had been so excited to find Ein as his opponent, as he'd heard of his opponent's reputation for being able to handle pain. With this tournament round, Adam intended to live up to his self-proclaimed nickname, and prove he was just as tough, if not tougher, than the Varronite legend. If Ein were to follow through with his charge forward, he would find it slowed by the hold on his neck, though likely to still connect. However, he would still need to deal with the heavy blow to his head.

Ein would growl as his opponent would move closer to him, the unhindered saliva falling down his chin. His eyes would follow the movement as much as possible, his chin instinctively tucking down and into his collarbone to keep his airway open. It was a simple and quick trick and it would keep Adam from cutting of his air, if little else.
Ein's arm would come back to his body quickly, slapping hard and loud as he moved forward into his opponent. Shoulder low and lifting to push the "Pain Killer" up and off his feet, hopefully sending his opponent to the ground. The plan would hopefully go perfectly, minus one hitch.
There would be a harsh and sharp jolt to the side of Ein's head. Thoughts suddenly jarred, his chin being pulled up and giving Adam a way to lock in on his air supply if he could grasp the opportunity.
Regardless of it all, Ein hoped he would remain standing while his opponent would be thrown to the ground. Jolted and stunned momentarily, he would likely still be in a good position to inflict punishment back upon Adam.
If he wasn't pulled down as well.

Pain Killer was many things, but a smart man wasn't one of them. Actual planned offensive or defensive moves were few and far between, and rarely extended beyond one maneuver leading into a second. To compensate, however, the youngest surviving Rydell would rely on instinct, which often kept him in fairly good positioning during a fight. For example, while simply going with what felt natural, Adam's positioning of his feet with the left foot forward and the right held back left with a wide stance to work with, making it difficult to actually push him over without significant force, even for someone his own size.
However, even with that said, the force of Ein pushing into him would cause Adam's eyes to go wide with surprise, having not expected such an indirect attack. Instead, Pain Killer had assumed Ein would want the same thing he did, to go toe to toe in a war of attrition, but then, few actually ever thought in the same way as the simple minded graduate. His body would lift upwards, Pain Killer leaning into his opponent and straightening his hind leg in an attempt to keep his balance. This in and of itself would not keep him completely stable, but once Adam's fist impacted against Ein's skull, his hand would unfurl and grab at the hair at the back of the German's skull, giving him one more thing to hold on to.
The larger male's body was indeed pushed backwards and up, his right hand falling away from Ein's tucked away neck, but not quite enough to make him lose his footing on the ground. Instead, he would slide backwards, the treads on his boots skidding across the floor by the balls of his feet, before finally coming to a stop. Rather than wait for Ein to manage to continue his offense, the self-proclaimed Pain Killer would throw his right hand forward once more in an uppercut towards Ein's face, pulling the smalelr man's head towards the blow with his left hand.

At the first sign of success, Ein pushed harder, forcing his opponent back even if he wasn't getting them to the ground. The legs straining and stomping down with each pushing step. Ein wasn't excessively surprised when he felt the other man's hand grab a large chunk of his hair and begin to readjust due to his faltering balance.
It drove him to push harder, he would take movement of Adam's right hand as a moment of weakness and drive his body forward harshly in doing so. The result on his opponent's side would be debatable, but the sequence of events for Ein was clear.
The fist would strike just as gang leader gave his last hard push, the sudden sharp pain to the jaw and the snapping back of his head almost comical if the reality were not attached. The entire body would be sent back, Ein stumbling harshly backwards. Seven, eight, nine steps before he would right himself and even then there was a jarring of thought.
It was for moments like these Ein fought. The lucidity when there was no thought. The split second before reality comes back into focus, things become real and have meaning before the eyes again.
It was moments like that, that Ein hated. It angered him, the sudden cacophony as everything came back. The thoughts, the actions, every consequence, every possibility. A sudden rush of knowledge reapplying itself.
Another way to fall his foe, if he could get the opprotunity.

Best read of the round, too bad we can't see it to the finish.
Winner, Pain Killer
