Lets get to the point. If it weren't for Valencia, Genaht never would've had ties to the Network to begin with. She enabled Gilsin to meet The Keystone Predator, one of the big leagues of information. She was with Vince when they uncovered a threat that would eventually endanger the lives of many Hircine students. Furthermore, to help Valencia in any way reflects good business and though she might not have the best luck in the world, those who help her certainly will. However, recent circumstances revealed that sometimes, people bite the hands that feed them, especially military dogs that ought to be put to permanent sleep. Like Pine, who ought to die in a fire fitting to his namesake, according to Valencia. Ever since she met Pine one-on-one, Valencia slowly became convinced that a good majority of Genaht's higher members consisted of jackasses. Vince is tolerable to some extent, but Pine? In short, Valencia's thoughts towards Pine: He's a retard. If he has sources everywhere, why the hell is he wasting my time by checking with someone he obviously hates for info he already has? Before even knowing Valencia, he threatened to sell her to Principal Alexander, which directly threatens the Network and will eventually lead to the dumbass single-handedly destroying all of Genaht's relations to the biggest information commodity in this war... Severely putting them at a disadvantage against Revelation and their relationship with the Network. Oh, and at a huge disadvantage against Paragon, since sending Valencia over there would be stupid considering how she knows Hircine like the back of her hand and her spitefulness towards those she hates (and acquaintances of those she hates) would give her more incentive to destroy them. The clock was ticking and her suspicious nature was bound to drive people to paranoia eventually, so Valencia had to meet Gilsin fast to ask him to set things straight and maybe even say goodbye if it comes to it. Mean as she is, she still strives to be polite. As Valencia sat on her lonesome in the library, she texted Gilsin as she turned from side to side in her swivel chair. Gilsin, We need to talk about Pine. Let's just say I question Genaht's intellect.
Meet in the library sometime this afternoon. The very first thing she'll touch upon the moment he arrives? “Is Genaht retarded? 'Cause Pine is and I have a laundry list of reasons why, ranging from him wasting my time to selling out the Network to the administration, a cardinal sin if you want to keep using it. I usually try to keep calm, but when the bills pile up and my income starts getting dry, I can be rather miffed.”

Ein was confused when he didn't know the number that would show on his phone, more so with what the message rang. A small amount of mulling over and the tall man was up and on his way. The first stop would luckily be Hircine, as Ein didn't know which library was to be the target.
The barrage he received when he opened the door was an annoyance, but somewhat expected from the summoning message he had received. Ein would simply sit and begin writing.
I fail to see why this would bother you so. I'd be surprised if you haven't cut off half of his contacts by now.
His eyes would stare steadily into Valencia's, half amused by a thought that crossed his mind that they only really needed someone covering their ears, as well as to see the response. Ein would judge his next moves based upon her reactions.

After unleashing the first wave of misplaced rage, Valencia became confused the moment Gilsin started writing instead of talking to her like he did a long time ago. It was after she read the note and put two and two together when she realized that the Genaht leader couldn't talk, much like her deaf-mute friend Ken. She was surprised at first until she recalled that the gang leader got into a scuffle with a certain Revelation member. The story was extremely violent and it's a real wonder how Valencia could've forgotten about that. Communication between the two will be much more difficult than she thought and she felt bad for not considering his condition, but maybe this was just what she needed: A chance to slow down. With Gilsin's gaze fixed on her, he could easily notice how distressed the Vietnamese woman was. She moved slightly but uncontrollably in her swivel chair, she was still processing Gilsin's condition, and she was looking for the right words to say. Her explosion upon his arrival was what kept her sane after bottling up so many things. If Tiao was disturbed by this, who knows what Gilsin is thinking about at the moment. With a shaky sigh, Valencia tried to relax with a degree of success and failure.
“Trust me, I got in touch with at least half of his contacts since our last meeting, but I think he's an alien who probes minds and crosses time and space to get the info he wants. I do apologize for getting out of control like that, but you have to understand that I respect your insight, especially after witnessing your mediation the first time we met.”
Valencia drew up her legs to her chest and hugged her knees, feeling antsy and trigger-happy; unstable. Her words were spoken as calmly as she was able, but the things she said showed the lengths she was willing to go to get things done... Conviction was a frightening thing to witness and it was this reason that she decided to speak to someone with more mental control than to someone like Alexander, who in her eyes was too closed minded to think beyond her own opinions anyhow.
“I'm human... And one that acts on my feet at that. Call it fight or flight. Yeah, I jump to a hundred conclusions, but I usually find that my instincts are correct whenever I access a threat. The first thing Pine did when we met in private? He threatened me with Principal Alexander. He's in cahoots with her, from what I can surmise, and the moment I'm kicked off this campus, I know who to sic the Network at. Call me a spiteful, vindictive, evil person, but I wasn't the only one who saw Miss Fontaine fondling with his hands in broad daylight: That was a death warrant in my standards and people will notice when the librarian clearing the records of hundreds of Network members goes missing. I tell them all the time that Alexander is the most likely to put me on the streets and my witch hunt for Pine's sources is enough to imply who I'll blame first.”
She took a deep breath and exhaled.
“This is the more immediate threat I'm putting forward, at least. I don't trust Pine, even though he supposedly deleted the file on me. However, I trust you and Vince and it hurts when I question my trust. He wore Genaht's armband at the private meeting and that said, it made me question the kind of credentials one needs to be part of your gang. Whatever those credentials are, I hope you're not mistaking motion for progress since Pine is going in the opposite direction.”
She already said a lot, so she'll go into all that once Gilsin catches up.

Ein's mind would process the information quietly, perhaps watching the females unconscious movements more than listening to her words for the information he sought. From what he was being told he immediately understood her feeling.
She was cornered to a degree, unable to fight back effectively and likely to be removed entirely soon. Ein also saw where the problem arose. The two were similar, choosing to act as quickly as they thought.
Pine saw an information broker that wasn't on his side and attempted to leverage, Valencia saw someone she didn't have much information on that was trying to strong arm her. It was in that moment animosity was formed.
Ein's hand would adjust the slightly moist black cloth that covered his deformity before beginning to write. His hand moving quickly as it could while still being legible to others. It was times like these he wished his hand writing was better.
I see the problem now and it will be rectified. I assure you, my trust in Pine is well placed. He is one that acts much more swiftly than I, much like yourself, and is required for that reason. As for this Fontaine, I do not know her, but if she is what I suspect she is Owed. Whatever harm that has been done to you will be rectified and please do remind Richard and the others that if they have need of mine or Genaht's services they need only ask and we shall see what can be done. Anything else required of me?
Ein would continue to watch Valencia closely, in some ways attempting to discomfort her more so he might be able to learn her body language. Though he certainly found the eyes she had to be highly interesting.

((OOC: ::coughs:: Dadgum ambiguous timeframe... At the very least, this thread should take place after Keith's meeting with Richard and the yet-to-be-concluded thread in Paragon regarding organ trafficking.)) Valencia's thoughtful gaze became that of frigid concentration while reading Gilsin's response. With her curled up like so in the chair and her annoyance and frustration building, she gave off the presence of a provoked predator waiting to pounce more than a cornered creature. While she respected Gilsin's opinion, she had doubts about whether or not the wrongs could be rectified. Pfftt... “Owed” indeed. For all I know, the most she did for him was screw his brains out with every opportunity like some cheap whore who swears to “never love again except for the first person whose pants she gets into”. Pine. Thinking with his “wood” and running on testosterone. Typical.“That's the thing. Richard recently told me that he found Chelsea's key... In the hands of who may be her murderer. That key was in the Lost and Found until it disappeared during our search. Put two and two together... Someone in the Network is being the inside person, literally selling lives to someone on the outside. If I jump to conclusions, that one time where I hunted someone down 'cause he stole my insurance paperwork? Who's now dead? I'm guessing he got silenced and my life was going to be sold. Guess who thought my life was worthless? Guess who thought that by getting rid of me, he's the doing the school good when he's actually wiping out more students than he's 'saving'? Innocent lives he never met, just to save his own hide and hear the accolades? Guess who didn't think about that?” To answer the question, it was obviously Pine and Alexander by extension. At this point, Valencia didn't care if she didn't make much sense verbally. She had a feeling that Gilsin would understand. “There are also signs that a Network is developing in Paragon... And Vince would agree with me that this unknown threat can reach there as well. Richard hired me to track down those who may be feeding the threat information. Pine is threatening the Network, both directly and indirectly, through his rash actions. The very least I want Pine to do is to accept the consequences of his mistakes and acknowledge them as such... Within my presence. In other words, an apology, if he's capable of giving one. What I want most of all, preferably after that, is for my presence to be completely unknown to him. None of his sources, including Genaht's members, are to relay information about my Network activities to him. It's a tall request, but I reserve the right to privacy and the right to defend myself at all costs. Think of it as a restraining order.” Genaht has ties to the Network. If Pine didn't destroy them already, they have enough influence to keep people quiet. Me, I know how to keep the rest of the Network quiet. They know the meaning of confidentiality and quid pro quo. Not to mention I have ties to Revelation. Pine isn't going to be the only one I plan to be invisible to...She wasn't scared of Pine in the slightest. If anything, she wanted to kill him for running from responsibility... A yellower coward in her pale eyes than any name he would give her. Though Valencia worked on her own for the most part, she was a far more competent leader than Pine could ever be. ((OOC: Oh, and to clarify since I know Pine is reading this, it's not like the entire Network hates her. If anything, 30-37% of Hircine's Network hates her 'cause she foils their plans while working for others.))
