Standing in a hallway, looking at the piece of paper in her hand, Lyre scratched the back of her head in complete and utter confusion. Written on her schedule was a series of classes she had no idea how she tested into them. Advanced chemisty, writing 123, calculus, a volleyball class for physical education- that was a cruel joke. Advanced- what?! And not one choir or band class available. Closing her eyes with a heavy sigh, Lyre opened her deep gray blue eyes and looked around the hallway.
Simple school- nothing as grand as her old one but it was nice in a quaint sort of way. Oh man she was such a loser- couldn't even find her locker, if she had one, or the office. She didn't even know where one of her classes would be and guessing by the bells she had heard previously, she was late and late was bad. She didn't know what kind of detentions they handed out here, but she hoped they were nothing as severe as the private school. The thought of having to hold two buckets of water parallel to the ground for seven hours was enough to make her arms start to ache all over again.
Walking down the hallway, looking at numbers and classrooms- not finding one that matched her she quietly wondered if she had slipped somewhere, hit her head and passed out. This had to be a nightmare. There was- not one matching class to any of the ones on her schedule and worse so she couldn't find the headmaster's office. Oh come on! her mind raged, as she paced back and forth between two doors, you're just being silly! The office is most liekly just around the corner and you'll be fine.
Taking a swig of lemon juice, Lyre shook her head, raven head flairing and settling, "This is hopeless."
