The morning after his quiet social beverage in the lagoon bar mid week Jazz had taken it upon himself to explore further. Though the grape vine he had been hearing that a lot of his old friends had left the city and followed there own career paths, which Jazz though was excellent.
‘Finally some people have taken it upon themselves to grow up.’
The thought came across his mind as he wandered towards his old school. Hircine was not a pleasant place for Jazz. He had lost many friends here whom he would never see again but still his curiosity clawed at him like a wounded animal and he had to go back.
‘’I wonder how much the place has changed in all this time?’’
He mumbled to himself. He had been walking now for the best part of an hour, simply to try and shift the huge hangover from the night before. Also to note that Jazz neither started nor got involved in the brawl in the bar last night, which was a first for him, although he did carry a bit of an egg shaped bump on his head where an aerial cue ball caught him a glancing blow. Now the reason he didn’t get involved was for the embarrassing fact that the ball had knocked him out cold.
‘Damn cue ball, where do people learn to have that crap an aim?’
Just over the distance came a very familier view. The gates to Hircine High itself. Jazz was a tad overcome with nostalgia as he approached. The now half dead smoke in his mouth burning a death and the smoke going up his nose made him feel a bit ill. He spat the butt out and continued towards the school.
A guard house looking object with a security arm was placed at the main entrance and a turn style for those entering on foot.. He gave the guard house a quick scan as he passed and pushed on the style.
‘Locked?’
Guard: ‘’Can I help you sir?’’
Jazz jumped a bit as he spun round to greet the guard s face.
‘’Erm…perhaps….I used to study here for a short time when a load of the pupils moved over from Varron. Im just here to settle my curiosity to be honest’’
Guard: ‘’Listen man, My job here is to stop weird folk like you from getting in, so unless you have a pass or an appointment the get lost!’’
For a second Jazz almost though about planting his foot and the guards jaw for being so rude, however he was stopped by his better judgment.
‘’Okay….okay im all good here, ill phone ahead next time….sorry.’’
He said as he turned to walk away.
Guard: ‘’Hrm!’’ Came the response for the guard, a grunt come laugh
Voice: ‘’Jazz…JAZZ! Hold up.’’
Came a voice from about 15 meters his aft

(ooc-woot requested by name I feel special) Victoria came walking from behind him as he would turn to see the short haired beau moving towards the guard station. "You weren't going to give up that easily were you? If I remember correctly, that's just not your style." She asked jokingly as she put her hand up to wave the guard away. "He's fine, he's with me." She addressed to the guard who merely shrugged, and went back to his chair inside the guard station. Showing that Victoria had some standing with security. "I haven't seen you around for quite some time. I almost didn't recognize you." Victoria couldn't really suggest that she was the same. Sure the same hair style and all but her clothing taste had did a 180 and now leaned on the more, professional side of things. Walking up in her black pinstriped jacket, matching skirt and high heels she didn't wait for any invitation but instead moved right up to Jazz, wrapping her arms around him giving him a welcoming hug. She was sure he questioned why she would be there. After all she didn't transfer as the other students did, not to mention her age being beyond the high school years. But with her previous standing at Varron it wasn't hard to guess. Removing herself from the hug she smiled widely. "Come on, I'll get you a cup of hot tea or coffee in the cafeteria and you can tell me what you have been to."

Jazz had reached into the inside pocked of his jacket, the same leather one he has worn for the last four years and yanked a smoke from it in a frustrated manner. He had placed the smoke in his mouth and was reaching for his lighter when he heard his name called out twice.
He turned himself round an took a glance at one of the most amazing sights he had ever seen. Victoria in a pinstripe dress suit and skirt.
He only had a few moments before her arms were wrapped round him, jazz was taken aback by this a bit. He was not really expecting this kind of response from someone he had turned his back on a few years back.
His natural response though was to wrap his arms back round her, just above the base of her back and gave a welcoming squeeze. The cigarette he had previously placed in his mouth had already dropped to the floor and he gave Vic a quick peck on the cheek. After all he was a gentleman.
Victoria: "I haven't seen you around for quite some time. I almost didn't recognize you."
Jazz returned the wide smile. He was pleased to see one of his old friends.
‘’I haven’t seen you in a while either. Look t you all formal, certainly don’t remember this side of the girl I knew back in Varron. Infact I think I would go as far as to say you look like a woman!’’
The distinct smile on his face clearly stating the jovial nature of the comment.
‘’You know what, a cuppa coffee would not go amiss at all.’’
He began to walk with Victoria through the parking lot and towards the school. I was a surreal feeling, he was a student and now he was a guest. Suffice to say that he felt a little old right about now.
He gave the guard a sarcastic wink as he passed him while Victoria held the gate open for him. The response was none at all, but Jazz could tell he was pissed. He smirked at Victoria as he slid past her into the school his eyes glancing back towards the guard.
As Victoria closed the gate behind him he spun round and just had to ask.
‘’So what IS with the suit, you a member of the faculty now or what?’’
He said as the began to walk towards the main entrance.

Victoria smiled.
“Well I wouldn’t call myself maintenance nor a teacher. Since I do not have the background in such fields, but I have landed a Principle position. I was quite surprised that they have placed this responsibility within my hands. Thou I would not see myself without it. Since I held a previous position over at Varron.”
Her smiled seemed to dim with the mention of Varron. No matter how much time would pass it would still be painful to her.
“But you know me. I seem to be very resourceful when it comes down to it. But you know you have to look the part when old stiffs are around keeping an eye on you.”
She referenced the School board, her freedom that she had back in Varron was not the same as here. But she had gotten used to the rules.
Leading Jazz through the front entrance and through the hallways. Things seemed to be muted. With doors closed all noise seemed like murmurs moving through the air. Victoria easily made her way towards the cafeteria.
“I would wager its been a handful of years now. Time does seem to move fast when you thing back about it. Course I don’t know about the phase, Time flies when your having fun, but time does fly regardless.”
She looked over to her side at Jazz as they walked together.
“Im assuming you attended this school? A lot of Varron students seemed to fall into this place and with what I heard it was a hard time on them all.”
Again her face seemed to dim with the end of the statement. As they approached the cafeteria door that was propped open she walked on through. She wasted no time in having him find a seat as she would retrieve a cup of black coffee for him and a cup of hot tea for herself.
After getting settled in her own chair across from Jazz she would take a sugar pack from the container between the two of them and add it to her tea. She spoke as she stirred the hot liquid in her cup keeping eye contact with Jazz.
“But I guess I should start out by asking, how have you been? Its so nice to see a familiar face again.”

Jazz was indeed pleased to see Victoria, He hadn’t seen much of her infact since her and Kazuki split from one an other. He followed her through the gate and into the main entrance. He had to make a double take as the old heavy doors had been replaced with sliding glass doors and the reception area had been completely re done.
‘’WOW!’’ Jazz commented in his usual jovial manner.
‘’Who the hell did ya have to pay to have this done,?’’
Victoria Just grinned a sarcastic grin as they made there way through. As per new rules to stop freaks from just walking in Jazz had to sign for a visitor pass. He leaned over the table to sign in the book and pick up a laminated to that clearly stated ‘’VISITOR’’ with the date and Jazz’ name against it. He pinned it to his waist and carried on with Vic into the school proper.
One thing that Jazz noted was the distinct lack of chaos brewing in the school. Infact it was almost as if an air of calm had come over the place.
‘Something is coming…’
Jazz thought to himself.
Following Victoria through to the café and noticing that the door was held open for her made him grin. Back in the day she would have been the kind of girl who would have enjoyed slamming it in some ones face.
The two old friends sat down in a rather quiet cafeteria. The people that were entering were almost avoiding the two of them. Jazz pulled his coffee towards him and looking deep into the brown gloop he took a deep breath.
‘mhmm good java.’
He added to small packets of fake sugar and stirred it well, He wasn’t one for having coffee to sweat infact he liked it really quite bitter. He took a very short sip from the hot mug and placed it back on the desk. He looked up and Victoria was looking him right in the eye. It kind of made him jump.
‘’Me?….Ive not been up to much to be quite honest. In fact I have been coming back an fourth between Varron, Hircine and Japan every now and then…erm…but more recently…I dunno I just felt like getting back into shape so I came back, plus part of my business is now based out here. I don’t realy take much to do with it mind that part is all done by boring people. See, not much at all.’’
Jazz shrugged as he pulled his mug towards him.
‘’Oh yeah, and I didn’t really attend the school, I kina played truant and erm, had other things to take care of. Then when the kwist thing kicked off…I have a secret about that….I was afraid. I was fed up with watching my friends be stupid and kill themselves fighting in some stupid gang war.’’
Jazz dropped his head and rand his had through his hair. Feeling rather embarrassed at what he had just come out with.

Victoria nodded.
“Its hard to watch that sort of thing happen before your eyes. Specially when your not able to do a thing about it.”
She could see how he felt on the subject so she decided to change it.
“Well it seems that you at least have things figured out now that’s all any of us can do. I wasn’t here for most of the conflict, actually I probably stumbled in at the end of it. I guess things could die down just as quick as they come. Specially with teenagers these days. It doesn’t surprise me that things seem to find their way into the peaceful scenery since most of the populous loves a good conflict now and again. But that’s just life. A big soap opera waiting to happen.”
She laughed lightly more to herself. She knew she could agree on one thing. Her life would be a good soap opera example. It was actually quite amusing now that she thought about it.
“So with all your traveling, that must be exciting. I’ve only flew to New York once. I think Tak had a worse time than I did since I tried to talk him out of it like a million times.”
She laughed again before taking a sip of her tea.
“I told him all he had to do was knock me out and carry me on board but I don’t think they would let either of us on. It was either that or me giving myself a sedative to calm down. But all in all I made it to and from to visit my family.”
With family she meant the Banger Boys and the Misfit gang she grew up on the streets of New York with.
“Two years is a long time to go without seeing them. I almost forgot how much I miss being with them. But from day to day I get a good couple phone calls from the boys to let me know how things are going. They wanted to come to the west coast but I told them I had it under control along with Tak and his brother. They seem to grumble when I mention how nice the weather is compared to what Im used to.”
She then had a realization of something.
“O you never met Blue. He’s a good guy but a gypsy if I ever knew one. Tak looks just like his brother or at least he would if he was about 10 years older. I actually named my fish after him. He’s so cute, my fish that is. The guy at the pet store said he’s pretty easy to take care of and good thing. I haven’t had to worry about him except for feeding him. And he reminds me every night swimming to the top as if he was a puppy begging.”
She seemed to catch herself from rambling on. Its been quite some time since she has had a friendly, not business conversation with someone. At least someone she hasn’t seen in a while.

OOC: im sorry this pos is so lame…ill do better next time principal lol
Jazz listened to every word spoken by Victoria. It was very refreshing to have a normal conversation with out the two people breaking into two guys from mortal combat. Jazz sat and drank his coffee, only looking away from Victoria to sip his still piping hot mug of school goop.
‘Needs more sugar.’ He thought as he turned away to grab another sachet of false sugar, rattling the packet before dropping the contents into his mug.
Victoria began to talk about the banger boys. A gang for lovable troublemakers from Varron. It took Jazz a while to get the name in his head. Then it came to him, They used to hang out in an old wear house Just outside town. If Jazz had his facts right, that’s where Victoria leaned to fight like a bloke.
‘’Yeah I remember those guys, but only just. I don’t think I had any real interaction with those guys, but from what I heard they were a good bunch of nice miss fits.’’
However one thing began to bug Jazz. Victoria mentioned a bloke by the name of Tak. Now Jazz knew that he knew the name he just could not place the face to the name. Which was frustrating for Jazz because he prided himself on having an excellent memory.
Jazz carried on listening to Victoria talk about old friends. Listening to here talk about blue and how she had named a fish after this guy. Also she mentioned that he was Taks brother. Now Jazz was looking confused and puzzled. He was kind of looking over Victoria’s head when she suddenly stopped talking.
‘’Oh…No Vic, I was listening to you I was just thinking about something you said.Vic, I am sorry to ask but. Who is Tak? I cant place that name but I know I have heard it before?’’

Victoria raised her hand above her head about a good foot or so.
“About that high, brown hair with the long streak of blue in the front. Umm, kinda serious looking all the time. Sports black leather a couple percings.”
She really didn’t know how else to explain him. So instead she pulled out a metal case that was tucked into the inside pocket of her jacket. What looked like a cigarette holder turned out to be her wallet. She opened it and pulled out a folded piece of paper. Unfolding it carefully she handed it over towards Jazz.
“As I said, the serious looking one.”
She smirked as the picture would indeed show him to be serious as well as the other Banger boys.
“Needless to say him and Kazuki never got along, but Tak is like an over protective brother and when things started to go downhill, specially when he found out I had cancer, he got worse. But he’s been looking over me for over 11 years so I guess I can’t blame him.”
When handed the picture back she would fold it up and place it back into the metal wallet.
“Have you seen Kazuki? Its been a while, last time I saw him was when I delivered some real food for him when I found out he was in the hospital. But he seems to be doing fine now last I heard he is up and fighting again, most likely against doctors orders but you know him.”
She took a sip from her cup, feeling the hot liquid move down her throat. Looking about she saw more and more students come into the cafeteria. Lunch, no doubt would be happening soon.
