"So this is where my life ends.", I said to myself aloud.
Emily was quite familiar of the news about the Varron Academy transfers. I knew I wouldn't get along with much anyone around this school. In front of me I had realized how huge and gigantic the school campus was, compared to my old schools. The buildings seemed to stretch endlessly into the horizon.I knew that most likely there was no way I'll survive, unless I was to make some friends. My head began to spin in bewilderment of the size of the school.
"Well at least todays a good day." I said in a whisper.
The sun was hanging in the sky that brightened the whole day. The school was full and alive. The birds seemed happy. There weren't much for me to do. I was still tired of moving on to high school.
"I doubt anyone would be nice to a simple Freshman." I said under my breath.
There weren't much for me to do. I felt completely out of place in this new environment. Change was never something I can get used to quickly. Ever since I walked into the school, my guts told me I was going to hate it. Unfortunately they were usually right. Still with my in so many thoughts, there was nothing that seemed right to me. I've read that this was a school that allowed, corporal punishment. All of this thinking began to give me a headache.
With one last sigh, I walked toward the wall and sat, just to relax.

(As I sat outside the school smoking a cigarette and reading my book, I looked up when I heard someone say something unusual.
"So this is where my life ends."
Upon hearing the girls words I bookmarked my page and closed the book. Leaving it on the bench I was sitting at I got up slowly and stretched. Watching her look at the school I smiled slightly. It was apparent that the student was new to this school, mainly because of the way she kept looking at the school in a sort of awe at how big it was, and because i hadn't ever seen her around before. As she sat down by the wall I began to walk over. Finishing my cigarette as I neared her I flicked it away. Looking down at her as she sat I smiled)
"Now why would such a pretty girl like yourself think your life is going to end here?"
(I asked her still with a big smile on. I didn't know anything about her which was obvious, but I always liked to be nice to new students since I remebered the "great" welcoming I had gotten upon transfering to this school)

As I peered up to see the whoever said asked me the question, I've realized he must be senior.
"It's really none of your business, is it?", I said with my most unemotional face.
Even through he was senior I had no interest to be respect. The day seemed to get even worse by the second. I was tired of the day already and so with no thoughts I started drifting into my thoughts. Whatever this guy does or whatever happens to him I didn't care. There wasn't much else to do. The day was only just starting.

(Hearing her words I feigned a hurt expression)
"ouch that hurts you know, come on it can't hurt to try and make new friends ony our first day now can it?"
(I asked her still with the slightly hurt expression on my face. "She was unusual, not many freshmen would have the balls to say something like that to a senior on their first day, especially not the girl freshmans. She intrigued me." I thought to myself as I waited to see if her next comment would be as cold as the last.
I had already decided no matter what I would find a way to penetrate her unemotional and cold stare. Why? I really had no idea, but something about this girl had me interested)

The strange senior was really starting to get on my nerve.
"Well should I really be caring, and who needs friends?" I replied getting quite irritated by the second.
Usually when I talk to someone like him they would storm off and leave me in peace. For some reason this guy was different. None the less I shouldn't care. Why should I care now, when I never cared before? So hoping once again he would leave me alone to rest.
"People are strange indeed, and why would he care about a freshman?", I asked myself quietly in my mind.
The day was still bright and happy, while my mood is becoming more depressed.

(Hearing her first words I noted the irritation that reached her voice when she said "Who needs friends." It was now apparent to me by her cold manner and how she reffered to friends that she seemed more like a lonerish type of person. Not letting her attitude or the coldness in her voice and eyes get to me I continued to smile slightly)
"who needs friends? well you look like you could use one, or at least an acquantince until you figure out how things truly work inside hircine"
(I said leaning on the wall beside her. I knew she was trying to piss me off so that i would storm away, but I wasn't going to let her get to me. Not until I had at least learned something about her)
"so how about it? the names Bruce, I don't expect you to give me a name, but if you did that would be great"
(I said as I leaned on the wall beside her)

This senior was even more annoyed then I thought. Hes much harder to get rid of.
"If I told you my name would you leave me alone Mr.Bruce?", I asked with my most irritated voice.
"He doesn't understand anything does he?", I asked myself.
The time seemed to pass slowly and I was hoping it would just quicken. I really didn't need anyone.
"I don't need your help or anyones help, I never needed help." I said for some reason unable to keep a sorrowful tone out of my voice.
Anger still rushing through me.

(Hearing her words I smiled very slightly)
"for the time being yes, seeing how it doesn't seem like anything I say or do will make you see other then what you wish to see and think"
(It was then that I picked up on the sorrow that laced her voice when she said "I don't need your help or anyones help, I never needed help." Hearing her words I nodded very somberly. Reaching into my pocket I pulled out a card. It was my business card since I was in part ownership of a Muay thai dojo. On the card it had my name and my cell number. Since she was sitting down she probably had no idea I had even pulled anything out of my pocket.)
"If you wish me to leave you alone my dear all I wish is your name"
(I said to her only this time there was no smile and no cheerfulness tinged in my voice)

Who needs friends?
Kyousuke's head turned off to the side, just as he passed through the main gate and headed toward his first class. He had ran to school, as he did every day, and that left him without his normal companion Ketsren to play Mr. Charismatic with these two. But the red head he sported, he didn't need Ketsren to talk too. He had a good basis of where this one was. As he approached the two were unaware of his presence, continuing their 'conversation' without his interruption.
Kyousuke was just behind the red head, who he just learned was Bruce, the moment his hand reached into his pocket. Seeming suspicious Kyousuke spoke up in a cold tone as he drilled the side of Bruce's head. "Friendship from an anarchist is the last thing any student needs, Bruce." Without pause he flicked his darkly hued blue eyes to the girl. After sizing her up quickly he motioned with his right hand toward the main building. "Socialising with him will provide little more than high levels of trouble. Assuming you know where it is, go to home room before the bell rings."

"How about ye go play wi' yer armband-wearing friends an' piss off?"
The sound of heavy footsteps strolling along betrayed his presence, but between Bruce and this rather unpleasant young lady, he was fairly certain anyone would have passed over him for the time being. Under conventional circumstances he would not have intervened, but the fact was, he was room-mates with the transfer student and in regard to that, probably one of the few who would look out for him creating trouble in this school.
As for the other lad, he was of little concern. He'd encountered him once before as a Genaht member, one of the gangs that had come with the transfers, and had little interest in anything but keeping an eye on the people around him, whether he chose their company or not. Striding past the two, pausing in front of the girl, he gave only a brief glance down to her, merely acknowledging her presence and little else before turning back to the red-haired senior.
"She's a wee bit young f'r ye, no? Go chase the juniors, they're mair likely t' massage yer ego...."
Though it would seem he was equally sharp with Bruce as he had been to the Asian youth, the brief hint of a smirk on his face placed his words outside of malice and made it clear he was making a touch of humour from the situation. However, this girl, though he'd only caught her last remark he was already disdainful of her attitude despite the likelihood Bruce had been putting moves onto her.
"I'll apologise f'r him. Sometimes I think I should jus' have 'im neutered an' have it over with..."

The day was getting more and more unpleasant for me. First the red haired guy and now these two? I am really losing my patients. Usually things will mostly turn out like planned. I think this school is going to be a nightmare! I believe students here are too nosy for there own good.
"Fine! My name is Emily, Emily Chiaki there happy?", I yelled as loud as I could. "Let me tell you all something!" "Stay out of my way, if not you'll regret it!" "Now leave me alone, all of you!"
Even through I was becoming angrier my second, there was also for some reason a sense of happiness. Swallowing hard I started to walk towards the main building entrance.

(Suddenly so much began to happen. Grimacing when I heard the all too familiar voice of the student I had almost fought in the hallway I turned to face him. As I looked at him eye to eye I fought down the urge to snarl primaly. It was apparent just from the heated glare that I was not too happy to see this student.
Then suddenly I heard another familiar voice behind me, one that I was happy to have heard.
"How about ye go play wi' yer armband-wearing friends an' piss off?"
Hearing the all too familiar voice of my irish roomate will I just continued to stare at the other student. Then turning to will I heard his next statement about chasing the juniors. Seeing him smirk a small smile touched my lips)
"awww but then what would our friend behind me have to do all day?"
(I said still with a small smile on my lips. The smile grew to a full blown smile when I heard his next words to the girl about having me neutured.
Then suddenly the girl seemed to explode, but at least i had got what i wanted out of it her name)
"well emily chiaki it's a pleasure to have made your acquantince"
(I said loud enough to her back as she began walking towards the school. I then turned back to the other student (kyo) and simply glared at him)

Kyousuke looked over his shoulder casually as the Irish accented student came out from behind him, the student he had heard to be Fletcher or something, looking quite uncaring. It's not that he didn't want to shove a text book down his throat, it's that he didn't care that he was being told to piss off. It was merely another student with uninspired comments. He also didn't care that he moved between himself and the girl. Bruce was his main concern this time, so it merely was a message that the two were obviously 'chummy' with each other. He would watch them go to talk, uninterested, and then watch as the girl yelled at presumably all of those present including himself.
She was an unhappy one. But then again, he could hardly blame her with these two around. "I would be gaining an education. A novel idea, really." He dryly retorted, looking off to the side to show his uninterested, dismissing both Bruce and Fletcher. They weren't a threat at the moment, and the girl had headed off to her next class, his need to be there was inert. Kyousuke was merely turn his back to them and walk away without a moments hesitation, and at a relaxed enough pace that he would not gain much ground on the girl who proclaimed herself Emily.

"Ye're askin' the wrong person. I neither care nor want tae know what he plans t' dae a' day. However, considerin' his apparent allegiances, perhaps he'll find ane o' Genahts fruitcake members an' talk philosophy, perhaps he wants tae swing a pop at one o' us, but whatever the plan, it'll clearly involve a chip on 'is shoulder and a stick up 'is arse."
His previous disdain for the youth took a step forward as he expressed instead his disdain for the pomp and arrogance Genaht members tended to have, assuming themselves the intellectuals despite being led by a lad who could be described simply as an extra from Dawn of The Dead. When the girls temper snapped, as amusing as it was to watch the child explode with irritance and anger, he fired out his remark quickly without even breaking a pause in the flow of words.
"Brat, does it look like ah'm talkin' tae ye? Kindly watch yer tone..."
The words were quick from his lips, and regardless of the fact she immediately made her way away from the group of males, he gave little other concern to her as he gave another, fleeting glance to the other pair. Bruce now had no reason for him to remain here, the other boy was just a prop in the background, despite his high and mighty litlte remarks of 'gaining an education', and Will found himself immediately bored. Despite the instant urge to swing for the Genaht member, just for fun, he shrugged it off and turned away from the other two, raising a hand over his shoulder to Bruce.
"Catch ye later, mate. I'm finished f'r the day, so I'll see ye at the apartment."
