The last time we saw Ken Corleone, the adorable deaf-mute freshman with an uncanny lipreading ability, he was keeping a close eye on Allen Daughtry until he got better acquainted with Valencia. You'd think a deaf-mute would require aid wherever he went, but the young blond student knew how to get by even without Hircine's library aid by his side and this was evident by how devoted he looked as he colored in the countries of Europe (with crayons) for his geography class. He was all alone in the library with his brown messenger bag to keep him company, seemingly there just to do homework, but his spiral notebook at the ready showed that he had a purpose beneath his unassuming demeanor. Since the last time Valencia met Allen, she's been keeping in touch with him about what's been going on. She didn't go into extensive detail due to time constraints though. She told him that she's working at Paragon part-time, she got news on the Principal, and a lead of some sorts on Hircine's Captain. That's it. As a result, she told Allen that she'll be relaying more recent and in-depth news through her deaf-mute buddy so he'll have more info to go off of. After all, her info is limited to her sole perspective so far. Ken was halfway done with coloring Herzegovina until he checked the clock and looked around for Allen, the older student who intimidated him last time they met.

'Quarter to eleven; time for my appointment.'
Allen Daughtry stole a furtive glance at the Timex wrist watch that sat on his left arm as his mind thought back to the day's schedule, his eyes squinting from behind his shades, lips parting to sigh in boredom. He recalled that, from what he saw of his notes back in the dorm room hours ago before first period, that the morning would include nothing more than sleeping in the dull classes he cared little for and acing those he did, but beyond that, everything else was nothing more than the usual day of a student.
Save for his meeting with Valencia's mute friend "Ken," of course.
'I gotta admit, that kid gives me the creeps. I mean, I understand he can't talk and all, but just the way how he always stares... pretty unnerving.'
Allen sighed to himself, accepting the circumstances. The information that the thief had been passing along to the Librarian's assistant over the last three months had been nothing special - merely rumors and small events and confirmations on little tid bits of information that "Vibrance" herself discovered. Yet, from her, he knew about the rumors dealing with the rise of Paragon's Captain and his Pillars - though Allen couldn't place the name "Yang" to a face yet - and that a few other old figures were rising up to fight against various factions. It appeared that peace would not last for much longer, but from what Allen could tell, it would not be a dangerous threat.
Standing up from his desk and grabbing his bag, Daughtry casually made his way to the classroom's door, ignoring the gasp of surprise from his teacher as he followed his trail of disobedience and yelled at him to sit back down with fake intimidation, but Allen merely flipped him the bird with his back turned away and kicked his way through the exit, strolling down the corridor to the main chamber.
Reaching the main staircase and making his way to the second floor, the junior student passed his way through the double doors of the school's vast library section and walked past several of the work tables and chairs before noticing the particular boy sitting in a corner of his own, his attention focused on some piece of paper sprawled in front of him. Planting his own back pack on the floor next to a chair and sitting down across from the boy, Allen pulled the shades upon his eyes up into his hair and watched Ken color on a geography map for a while, before speaking outward at last, in a rather cool tone, after noticing that the boy was coloring two different countries that bordered one another with the same shade of red.
"Ken, Georgia isn't a part of Russia, at least, not yet. Now, what's up?"

By the time Allen sat down across from Ken, he was on the eastern reaches of Europe. The freshman at first didn't mind the presence across him since he was almost done with his worksheet. He added the final touches and looked up as soon as the older student caught him in the act of miscoloring a country. He's deaf, but he looked up in time to watch them move. Ken mouthed an “Oh” and mixed some blue to Georgia to make it a weird shade of purple before flinching and dropping his crayon, startled that he didn't notice Allen 'til then. A few awkward seconds passed as the crayon rolled off of the table until Ken leaned over and picked it up. He held up a finger to signify “One moment” as he flipped through his “Talking Notebook” to the page Valencia wrote in. When Ken found the page, he pushed it over to Allen to read as he packed up his school supplies. If you are reading this, then that means I'm dead.
As you know, I'm working part-time at Paragon as a librarian and occasional sub for philosophy.
I learned that Tiao is over there and changed some. Vince is there too. I'm still trying to find out why. Tiao is somewhat understandable, but it's strange that there're off cases in the mix. I'll be getting a more detailed list this afternoon.
I heard that Paragon's School Captain Tai Yang is impulsive—Easy to bruise ego. Kunioku was mentioned during my interview; Probably just as impulsive. Principal Davis isn't “right” for some reason. He has a twisted aura. Hircine's School Captain Tyler reacted very negatively when I showed him a picture I drew of Davis; I want to know why. It should shed light on the both of them. I gave Ken a copy of the picture.
If you need anything else, ask Ken. I told him everything I could this morning.
By this time, Ken may be seen watching Allen and the notebook intently as if reading it for the first time with interest. Upon being noticed, Ken would pull out the copy of Valencia's sketch and stare at Allen with his green puppy-like eyes, eager to help out as instructed by the librarian.
