"Everything's hooked up, we're ready to go."
"Good, I'm glad to hear it. I knew I could count on you."
"Are you sure we can get away with doing this again, Seth?
For a moment, the student in question paused, allowing his lips to peel back in a slight smirk.
"Trust me, my friend. If things go smoothly, there'll be no need for us to even go through with it. It's simply insurance."
"Alright, man. I'll talk to you later, then."
"Sounds good to me."
Standing outside of the Principal's office, Seth flipped his phone closed, dropping it into his pocket. Things had gone much more smoothly than he had anticipated, as it had taken only one day for the tech-student to hook his equipment up to the school's security system. With things progressing so well, the Junior had decided to take a different approach, especially given his interactions with Shuya in the past. He opened the door into the main office, where the secretaries sat, and walked up to the desk, taking his time and looking around as he did so.
"Can I help you?"
"Indeed you can. Could you tell Principal Katsumoto that Seth Calloway is here to see him, please? I understand if he's busy, but I would really like to speak with him."
"One moment."
The secretary stood up from her desk, heading towards what was presumably Shuya's office, causing Seth to smile slightly. It was amazing what a little respect could do, especially since it seemed so many students had forgotten how to use their manners. There was no telling how long it would take for the Principal to see him, however, and so the gang leader would take one of the seats near the door, leaning back just enough to be comfortable.
Shuya's a man I can understand, but I've never met the other Co-Principal. It'd certainly make things less straightforward if she starts interfering...

OOC: Apologies for the delay, introductions have started at my university again so I’ve been partying a lot past days… and will continue to do so until next week, so sorry if I post a bit late.
A small pencil was twisting between Shuya’s fingers as the principal was looking out his window, taking notes of what was going down at the school grounds. In fact, nothing was going down and he knew that he would soon have to leave his comfort chair and start looking for both Kyukaku and Seth, in any order. He had to speak to them alone, discussing the matters at hand and making his and their plans unfold. The only problem was that Kyukaku didn’t even know the two of them had a plan at all… but that would be revealed soon enough.
It seemed his search for the other student was cut short as his beautiful secretary entered his and Victoria’s office. He short skirt danced playfully as she entered the room and for a few seconds Shuya’s eyes were focused on her legs, before he rose his face and looked at her directly. She smiled at him before telling him that he had a welcome guest… Seth Calloway. He thanked his secretary and asked her to tell him that Shuya would get to him shortly. Looking through the office Shuya knew it would be too risky to talk here. At any time Victoria could enter and if that happened, she would start asking questions… questions Shuya didn’t wish to answer. To avoid this, he and Seth would talk in an empty class room.
Standing up from his chair, he rolled it back to his desk before walking out his office. There he saw the potential young man waiting for him and greeted him with a small nod.
“Mister Calloway, I understand you wish to speak with me. I believe it’s about your previous encounter with professor Lardley, is it not? Perhaps it would be best if we discussed it with the dear professor himself, so let us go to his classroom, I believe he’s working on some homework there…”
He gave his secretary a small wink before he left the office and a small blush appeared on the young woman’s face. She was perfect…
Shuya predicted that Seth would not ask any questions about the rubbish he had just said, the young man would probably understand the hint. Though beautiful as she was, Shuya wasn’t entirely sure if his secretary would tell Victoria any of his secrets accidentally and he wasn’t going to take any risks now. Quietly he walked Seth to one of the empty classrooms and held the door open for the student to enter before him. After he had entered himself, Shuya turned around and locked the door. Depending on where Seth would take his seat, Shuya would simply sit on any table that would ensure an easy conversation.
“So Calloway, tell me what it is you wanted to speak to me about… cause if it’s not something that required this charade, what I have to talk to you about is…”

(No worries, I'm very patient)
Once Principal Katsumoto walked through the door, Seth immediately stood up, smiling in a satisfied manner. He naturally understood Shuya's hidden message, as it was likely for the very same reason Seth hadn't mentioned why he was here to the secretary; some things were better left on a need-to-know basis, as much as he disliked the term. Nevertheless, he responded with a quick "Indeed." to Shuya's question, following the principal out of the office and towards the classroom. He happily entered the room first, politely thanking Shuya for holding the door for him, before sitting on the teacher's desk, folding his right leg over his left while he waited for the older man to speak first, allowing him to break the silence first before responding.
"It's come to my attention that one of the newest additions to the library's staff had an... unfortunate misunderstanding, with Principal Alexander. As a result, it seems she's being closely monitored by the school's cameras. I want them shut off."
Seth's voice would take a certain edge at the end, as if to emphasize how seriously the request was to be taken. He had worded it carefully, making sure there was no mistaking what he wanted. After all, if the cameras didn't focus on Layla, but continued filming regardless, it would be an easy matter for Principal Alexander to simply find a way to continue her observations less conspicuously.
"It would hardly be a loss to you, all things considered. The school doesn't need such an intense surveillance any longer, not after MacMillan's tragic and unfortunate end. It could even be seen as a sign of trust between you and your students."
It could, in fact, be a good relations spin for the young co-principal of Hircine High, if that were a goal he wanted to pursue. Whatever he intended, however, Seth would stay out of the way as long as the same courtesy was extended to him. In that same train of thought, the dark haired Junior remembered that Shuya had mentioned wanting to talk to him as well, though he made no mention of it quite yet; it would be better to have Seth's concerns dealt with first, since they had been brought up with first, before setting them aside and dealing with Shuya's. It was simply a matter of order, not importance.

“I take it you’re talking about miss Donahue?”
Shuya couldn’t resist but smiling at the student in front of him. If Seth was truly speaking of her, it was obvious that not only Shuya had estimated the woman as an important key in this school, but Seth as well. Though Shuya had not made any attempts as to talk to her himself, he had allowed her to go her own ways for now until he thought it was necessary to bring her in. Apparently Seth had already done that for him.
“You want me to entirely stop the cameras? May I ask why you would want them to be down more precisely? The cameras remain not only for Alexander, but for me as well one of the easier ways of gaining information I need. If I were to suggest and decide that they are to be shut down fully, I better have a damn good reason… and in order for me to come up with such a reason, I better get a good reason myself as well…”
Shuya saw no real problem with the idea. He had infiltrated several student groups already and most information would reach him before the cameras would’ve even registered a thing. Still, it was not just any small favor Seth was asking for, since if hell broke loose, it would be a lot more difficult to establish the source of this all without cameras. Perhaps, a compromise could be made between them depending on the importance of this request. There were always other ways… having a personally known company keep track of the records and only allow him to see them and giving Victoria older tapes…
As Seth spoke again, there was a slight truth in his words. It would indeed appear to be the perfect peace offering, but still, by Shuya’s calculations, he’d have to give in more than that he’d receive. His decision about the matter would all depend on how much information Seth was willing to share. Waiting on this information, Shuya kept his tongue about the matter he wished to discuss as well… for now. Both matters could easily be discussed without them being interrupted.

Donahue?
The only name Seth had known Valencia Donahue as was by her alias, Layla Hamilton, as that was the name she had met Mae-Lim under all that time ago. However, given the type of business the woman took part in, it wouldn't at all surprise the gang leader that she had other identities to fall back upon; it certainly made sense. However, even if this was not the case, and they were in fact different people, it wouldn't change Seth's desire to turn the cameras off completely.
"They're a nusiance. To myself, and those who I'm currently working with. It would be annoying to have to explain myself or for others to do so, if those tapes were to fall into the wrong hands. While I have faith in your own discretion, this is a risk I'd rather not take. All in all, those cameras must go, one way or another."
It was a subtle message, but one that Shuya would likely understand; regardless of Katsumoto's permission, the cameras would be dealt with. On this matter, Seth would allow no argument. He'd only come in the first place in order to give working with Principal Katsumoto a chance, though he was fully prepared to continue with his plans without the older man. Nevertheless, he would wait for Shuya's response to his plan, wanting to hear whether he would agree or not before remarking:
"On the other hand... what was it you were wanting to speak to me about?"

Shuya crossed his arms as he thought about the possibilities of removing the cameras but he couldn’t think of an easy and quick solution to this problem. Though he had all the faith in Seth’s intent, he knew he couldn’t just shut down all the cameras inside the school.
“Calloway, though it might be to my benefit, I cannot simply remove the cameras. They are here for the safety of many, and though I care little about most students, it does give me an advantage. If I were to remove the cameras, I would not be able to do so without Alexander getting suspicious. The cameras will stay and will be monitored by a staff that only answers to me and will have fake tapes of all locations ready so they can swap them if unauthorized people want the tapes. If this isn’t enough for you, I suggest you find a way of terminating them without telling me… In that case I will look truthfully surprised when they go down.”
Shuya decided to drop the matter here. Though he was interested in why Seth wanted the cameras down, he knew Seth might not trust him enough to share. If Seth truly wanted to gain Shuya’s trust, he would come forward with his plans out of his own intent, not due to Shuya’s continuing questions. When Shuya got a question in return from Seth, inquiring what it was Shuya wanted from him, the older male spoke once more.
“Well, you’ve made it clear to me that you like me would see entertainment in having Hircine students fight the Paragon Institute students. Now, I don’t want this school to gain full blame in anything and there are some other reasons as well, but in any case, I want this to happen, but in a more orchestrated way. Therefore a large student fighting experience will be arranged somewhere outside of this city. The problem however is that even though there have been little fights between students from both schools, the Paragon youth is too busy fighting each other in a chaotic manner… I need their attentions focused on the Hircine High students instead… give them a reason to fight… draw them all out in the open and have my students face them. I need someone to create that reason… and I can think of no other than you.”
That wasn’t entirely true. Shuya always had a backup plan and if Seth refused, he would have to put that to use. However, Shuya was confident that in some way or another, the student would accept. Shuya had at least been honest, open and straight to the point about the matter, something that Seth might appreciate. There was much to gain from this unholy alliance for both men, it was just a matter of trust now…

"Then don't be surprised if the system happens to go down within the next day or two. Or should I say, do be surprised?"
The dark haired Junior allowed his lips to tug upwards, amused at his own humour. Aside from what he had said already, however, he would make no more mention of his plans involving Hircine's cameras, or why he desired them inoperative. Shuya's unwillingness had given Seth a glimpse of the restrictions apparently placed on the man, and in turn, the limits of information that could be passed towards him. Trust had nothing to do with it, it was more like plausible deniability. Nevertheless, Seth listened carefully to what Shuya continued on to say, the reason the older man had wanted to see the gang leader for in the first place.
"A 'large fighting experience' outside of the city, hm? How interesting. If I didn't know better, I'd say it sounds a lot like those underground tournaments that go on."
Seth, of course, had never taken part in those tournaments; his own fighting capabilities had rarely, if ever, been something he had needed to prove to anyone. That didn't mean he hadn't attended them, however, as he'd seen some of what Paragon had to offer in those first rounds, as well as those who had graduated before he'd attended Hircine. None of them were anything he found overwhelming, and as such, he didn't concern himself much with them.
"Out of curiousity, did you have a particular course of action in mind you wanted? A specific way to bait Paragon, or am I to use my own judgement?"
In the end, Seth would wind up using his own judgement regardless of Shuya's answer, but if the principal came up with a good idea, there was no reason for the gang leader to ignore such an opportunity.

OOC: Sorry, quite short I’m afraid but not really much to be adding atm.
Shuya moved his head away slightly when Seth mentioned him turning off the cameras but it wasn’t too important for Shuya. If the results that came from that action were not positive results in Shuya’s book, he would have to cut Seth loose anyway and he would already have clear reasons on why to take the student out. But hopefully for both of them, that wasn’t going to be necessary. There was little more to say about it so Shuya decided to drop that matter and continue on with their conversation, bringing up the fight outside of SF. After speaking and taking in Seth’s opinion about the fights, Shuya responded again.
“Those little underground tournaments are laughter compared to this. Students supposedly fighting for money, for a little recognition… and from who? Only a select few others. No… this would be all out, involving most students of Paragon Institute. The stakes much higher and a better motivation to fight, their own prides. And of course Calloway, I wouldn’t have chosen you for the job if I didn’t think you could think of something original. There’s only one string attached to your freedom and that is to make clear you act for the student body, not for me. I take it those students would massively assault me if they thought I’m in their way and though technically I am, I would prefer them to target the student body.”
He smirked once more as he rose his face and stared straight at Calloway again.
“And it would be best if you kept as many of your ‘associates’ out of this… I want you to do this yourself. If you need help, contact me. If you need help I cannot give, only use those you truly trust, like that young girl that, if I had to guess, is probably standing right outside that door, waiting for you… or waiting for something to happen so she can burst in. Anyway, point is that I don’t wish the student body to know about your actions.”
The plan was pretty straight forward. Target the Paragon students, let them target the Hircine students and both school’s principals would have their valid reasons to let the students fight each other. How fun it was these days with new school bills passing through each day…

(S'all good. Length means nothin' to me.)
Seth's amusement continued to grow the longer Shuya spoke, enjoying almost every word. Everything said could be set into three different categories; what Seth was supposed to want to hear, obligatory praise, and important information. It was all useful in the gang leader's mind, however, as it helped him understand just what sort of man Shuya was, and in turn, the best ways to deal with him.
"Nice and subtle, by myself. I suppose the hands-on approach might be more interesting this time around..."
It was worth considering, to be sure, as doing things the same way every time made the game too boring to repeat. One had to take a different path, if possible, if they hoped to remain challenged and entertained. However, there was no point in changing things so much as to handicap yourself completely, as a game with no possibility to win wasn't fun either. Instead, things needed to remain balanced.
"I will keep your request in mind, then. Considering the timeframe I gave our illustrious 'Captain' is nearing its end, Paragon is running out of time to start this war themselves. If they haven't done anything serious in the next five days, then we'll just have to bring the fight to them."
For a moment, Seth's face would take on a more serious look, far from the usual pleasant expression he usually chose to wear. He didn't want to move until Valencia had finished gathering the information he desired, as it would make his work much easier to focus in the right direction. Until she managed to finish, however, it seemed that Seth would need to stall for time.
"I'll keep your request in mind, then. Is there anything else?"
Don't forget, the difference between master and puppet is dependant only on which side of the string you're on. And if it ever becomes inconvenient for me, that string can easily be broken.

“ Nice and subtle but with enough impact, I know you got the point.”
Shuya was pleased with the results Seth had booked. He had tried to monitor the student as much as possible but losing Shuya’s spies was something no one had ever been able to do… until Seth came along. The boy moved from place to place, performing various tasks everywhere. Shuya knew he probably had to be more careful with the student, but he just didn’t want to. He was fascinated how much the student reminded him of his younger self. However, fact remained that Shuya knew he couldn’t attach himself to the student too much. He could easily turn on Shuya but when he did, Shuya would see that act of treason as no other. Such an act from Seth might well result in an unfortunate early death…
“I’ll have a talk with Scott to see if he can play any useful part in all of this… of course without letting him know what truly is happening. As for Paragon, they aren’t finished fighting each other yet… they wouldn’t make a move in years by this rate.”
When Seth repeated what he had said earlier and asked if there was something else, Shuya jumped off his table. Though he had found his business with Seth had gone perfect once more, he did want to ensure that the younger man had at least some form of respect for the older male.
“Just don’t think about double crossing me… I give you the free hand in doing whatever you want, don’t abuse the privilege. Smart as you are, don’t forget you still got a lot to learn… don’t underestimate me and I’ll return the favor. As long as both of us keep their ends of the bargain, I see no further issues.”
It wasn’t a threat, just a word of advice. If Seth would turn on Shuya, the principal would be most displeased for sure. This unholy alliance could benefit them both greatly and if someone were to destroy it, it would most likely be Seth.
Casually Shuya walked over towards the door and unlocked it. After leaving the room he noticed a young girl just beside the door and he gave her a small nod. While doing so, all he could hope was that Seth would show at least half the loyalty to Shuya as the girl showed Seth himself…

"I'll be sure to remember what you've told me, Principal Katsumoto."
Polite almost to a fault, Seth would give a grandiose bow, tucking his right arm in at the waist while placing his left arm at the small of his back. His smile had long since returned, and his eyes would watch Shuya as he left, watching from underneath his dark hair until the man left. Tamara would nod back to the principal, though she remained somewhat perturbed at the fact he had known she was there. This, of course, would mean Seth would know as well, and as there was no point in hiding any longer, she walked into the classroom, head tilted downwards in shame as she tried to explain her actions. His face was rather amused, however, as he stood back up from his bow.
"... I just wanted... to make sure it all went well... and... um..."
"I know. Don't worry about it."
"A-are you sure?"
The dark haired Junior smiled again, placing his hand on her shoulder in a comforting gesture.
"How could I be upset with someone who only has my best interests at heart?"
Tamara blushed and smiled, looking away for a moment, causing Seth to force himself not to smirk. It was too easy to keep the girl under control, something that both delighted and disappointed the gang leader. In many ways, he wished for an equal, someone who he could see had reached the same plateaus as him, or at least had the potential to.
"So, you're working for the school now?"
The words brought him out of his musing, and Seth took a moment to let the question sink in before finally responding.
"It would appear that way, I'm sure. It's fairly entertaining, for the moment, and a good opportunity to get some things done without hindrance."
Tamara looked puzzled for a moment, then nodded. She said nothing however, as Seth went on to finish his thought.
"It's nothing to worry yourself over. I suppose we should get going, it seems we've got a war to start."
