Today was a rather cold day for Auroth, who saw alone in the courtyard. He was skipping today, avoiding the dread class simply known as Math. He didn't find Math too difficult or anything, but rather boring as hell. There was no passion in math, no emotions to convey. In History one can express opinions about the past, in English one can write a story filled with philosophy and feeling, and let's not get started on the liberal arts...... yet in Math, what was there to behold but simple objective truths which held no substance in the mundane everyday for a Teenager. Teachers have repeatedly preached the idea that Math would teach one to think, yet why think so coldly, so calculatingly that one would not see the holistic picture and symbols behind the everyday, not just the cold figures.
"I suppose people are content of seeing life that way" Auroth said, leaning his back on the ground. "But I find it so meaningless to go through life without questioning the world..... To be content is to no longer seek Truth..."
The Mid-day sun shinned upon him, illuminating the sterile, grey tiles which were all around him. He raised his hand in the air, blocking out the harsh sun as his azure eyes looked around him. It was really hot out here, and yet Auroth was so cold on the inside. His eyes looked so blank, like a zombie, and yet so perceptive like a hawk's. He looked over at the Courtyard's clock for a brief moment, assessing the time; He still had plenty of time to sit here and relax. Right now one of his "Friends", or at least one of those who could claim such a dubious title, is recording today's lesson for him to view later. Which his friend expressed concern over his recent absences; Auroth wasn't worried at all.....
"As long as I ca pass at the end of the year, I'll be fine" he said to himself, closing his eyes now...

Sitting in the back of the classroom the young man kicked up his feet and watched the chalkboard as the teacher casually sketched math problems down. Yawning he bent forward examining the other students who all seemed focused on something else or just not caring. Robert hadn't been here to long to truly know this school but one thing he knew was the fact it didn't stand out from any other place.
Same students, same courses, and the same social groups. Nothing really stood out to him at all here so why not take some time to actually find something interesting? Tucking his slender fingers into his pockets Robert would let out a long hum followed by a whistle. It was as if he was singing some song nobody could recognize. It didn't sound to bad and actually had a catchy tune although it still got on people's nerves.
Eventually the noise got to students and the teachers. Before even getting the chance to explain himself he was told to shut up and head to the office. Getting out of his seat he walked towards the teacher who was already writing down a note for him to carry. Grabbing it and walking out not even bothering to look back Robert let out a slight laugh. Screw That he thought crumbling up the piece of paper and tossing it aside as he strolled out farther from the class till he found himself in the middle of the courtyard.
Looking around he finally managed to notice somebody was actually here. Robert watched him momentarily as he walked toward the young man who was seemingly relaxing on the ground. He never really felt like trying to make a new friend or anything needy like that. For now all he really felt like doing was trying to pass the time with someone to talk to or something to do. "A skipper eh?" Robert asked standing on his toes looking down at the boy.

Auroth heard footsteps in the distance, slowing edging their way toward his body. He turned his head to the side, looking up as he tried to make out his approacher. His face looked as blank as a piece of paper, and his blue eyes looked like deep azure wells that you could get lost in for ever. The sun light blocked out Robert's features, appearing only as a dark shadow to the blonde hair warrior. However, Auroth was very content on remaining on the ground. He sensed no urgency nor any hostility from the figure, and so calmed himself. To an on-looker, there seemed to have been no change in Auroth's face. Quickly he heard the approacher's voice; it belonged to that of a teenager. There was no hidden or blatant anger in his voice, nor any sign of ill intension... Merely a simple remark...
Nothing out of the ordinary...
"Indeed" Auroth said, lying on the ground. His face seemed to have been frozen, his eyes locked in place, with only his mouth moving. "I was suppose to be in math class, but I find that class so boring, so uninteresting, and so utterly passionless that it drives me to the edge of my annoyance"
He then paused for a moment, letting the wind fill the otherwise silent gap. He felt the nurturing pull of the air against him, blowing his hair all around as he relaxed within the Wind's gentle hold....
"And what about you? What are you doing here?" He said in a calm, relaxed tone...

Robert looked down upon Auroth his eyes examining the coldness in his eyes and face. It was if somebody had left this kid in the freezer or refrigerator. As the boy began to talk Robert simply nodded in a response with a smile. So he was just another skipper like me. Well at least i know I'm not alone Robert thought scratching the back of his head letting his fingers slid between his silky hair.
He watched as the teen began to talk about how math had no passion and was utterly boring. Everything that he was saying was slowly becoming more and more interesting as he listened to him. This was his first time really hearing somebody say something out of the norm. Slightly laughing Robert raised his head up looking around the area for any adults and then turned back around.
"I can understand which you mean. Math certainly is rather boring. And so is all that crap about it being a huge importance later on in life" Robert said shrugging. "But i think we can both agree it won't be" he said. "As for me being here I'm kinda avoiding trouble as of right now". Slowly sitting down next to the boy Robert slowly kicked back. "Mind if i sit here?" he asked.

"Do as you wish" Auroth slowly replied, his blank eyes still staring at Robert.
For a while, Auroth had basically blocked out Robby here. He was nodding his head, looking like he was paying attention.... but in reality was somewhere completely else. To the man, Robert sounded like a constant drumming which interrupted the peace and tranquility he had here. Don't get Auroth wrong though, he did at least glean the geist of what Robert had said.... so that he could keep up his facade that he was paying attention. However, he was more concerned and interested by the world around him, not the figure sitting next to him. His eyes faded in and out of focus, as though he was going through some trance... For all Robert knew, Auroth could've been high on weed and was thinking that Robert was Jesus or something.....
Luckily, he wasn't....
Slowly his eyes came into focus again, looking at Robert. His face remained indifferent as usual, relaxing in the sweet spring breeze. Never mind the hard gravel he was laying on, or the hot sun beating down on him.... Auroth was truly relaxed like this....
"So tell me...." The blonde began, his eyes shifting back and forth from focus to out of focus. "Why exactly are you here.... At Hircine High school... and for that matter... Who are you?"

Even with or without Auroth permission Robert would have sat down there anyway. But it was alot more polite to at least ask first. Sitting down and rolling his head back as he stretched out his eyes locked onto Auroth. It didn't take him long to realize this guy was half asleep and was possibly not even aware of what he was saying. Deciding to just enjoy himself Robert kicked back a few feet away from Auroth leaving a rather awkward silence between the two young men. Why even bother Robert thought.
As the minutes passed between them he was surprised that Auroth had actually spoken to him. He figured he was a bit to wrapped up in his own world to even remember Robert was there. Staring at him momentarily listening to what he was saying Robert jerked his head looking at the school building letting out a breath of fresh air.
"Well what would any student have for being at a high school. To learn something and make myself look good on a college application" Robert said slightly laughing. "Oh and my name is pretty simple. You can just call me Robert is all" he said. As Robert finished speaking he closed his eyes slightly allowing the calm breeze and his own dreams to slightly drift him away. He could see why Auroth was able to pay attention. This place was really quite relaxing.

"Oh.... So that's why you're here" Auroth replied, his face as cold as usual. " And Robert is it? Interesting..."
Well, to be truthful, it wasn't interesting. Robert was just an average student.... Not here to cause anything interesting to happen or do anything bat-shit crazy.... Yet at least. Of course, Auroth himself could remember the days when he first came to Hircine... er.... Varron. There, he thought he could stay in school, do good and get himself accepted to a nice college where he could eventually become a doctor. Hehehe, how the year goes by.... Who know that Varron would just fuck him up like it did... And it wasn't just Varron, but his own, vague past. It was like that damn school brought out the worst in him...
And here, Auroth believes its only going to get worst...
For the first time since he and Robert spoke, Auroth got up.... His eyes this time focusing solely on Robert. There was more to this student than met the eye. Auroth knew everyone has a story to tell, and he wonders what this kid's is. Auroth's own is rather tragic, if not incredible mental and dark..... Indeed, if Robert knew what Auroth has done, then Robert would be smart enough to stay as far the fuck as he can...
Oh well....
"I am Auroth" The said, his icy blue eyes staring right into Roberts. "A Pleasure to meet you"

"A pleasure to meet you too Auroth" Robert said as Auroth meet eye to eye with Robert. "So how long have you've been here at Hiricine? Cause there's alot of stuff happening i have no clue about" Robert said thinking back to all the things he ended up running into. Especially with all the fights happening both left and right in this school. Of course Robert had no problem with it but he was still wondering why they actually fought.
Not to mention the system here was a bit different then what he use to deal with back at the old schools he would attend. Maybe he should have asked a teacher or something but to him it would have been better to hear a real opinion from another student from Hiricine. Turning his head he reached into his pocket pulling out a small rubber ball.
Tossing it into the air a few steps he threw it at the wall watching it bounce off and fly right back into his palm. Forgetting to bring something to pass the time here with him he decided talking with Auroth and playing some lonely catch wouldn't be too bad. Now he just needed to pass the time before his next period. Going back to class now would certainly mean punishment and possible detention.

"I've been here for long enough" Auroth cynically replied, his eyes turning blank. "Long enough to know what's going on... at least..."
From what Auroth could tell, Robert here looked a bit green to the school. New and fresh, Auroth knew that Robert probably had no idea what it meant to skip class. It meant getting the stuffing beaten out of you, then followed by a period of rest before more stuff is knocked out of you. It wasn't pretty, and it wasn't fun.... But compared to the systematic torture known as math, it was well worth it. He then saw as Robert took a ball out, throwing it against the wall. As he did this seemingly mindless routine, he noticed that it seemed that class was about to end and lunch was to begin. It was about time; Auroth was hungry as well. Slowly he leaned up, turning his face toward the newbie. the blonde felt it was his role as a upper class man to explain what was going on around here.....
"To simply start" Auroth said, his tone breaking the silence. "the school is heavily divided into factions. I myself have refrained from these insidious groups, but many lesser students have fallen prey to the false future they preach. At this moment, the pillar's once iron rule is finally being challenged, and slowly the peace at Hircine is being broken by we Varronites." Auroth then paused... take a breathe as a slow, but mad, smile made it's way to his pale face. "It's a fun time to be alive"

"Interesting to say the least. I guess this could end up being a fun school year" Robert said as he listened to Auroth finish his sentence. It was all sorta new to him, a war actually going on in the school. People dividing themselves up to go agasint each other. Robert would probally have to try his best to avoid getting mixed up to much in the things that were going on.
Hearing the lunch bell Robert yawned as he got up from the ground placing the rubber ball he held in his hands into his pockets. "So going to lunch Auroth?" Robert asked. Robert was probally going to do some more exploring of the school rather then go eat cafeteria food. He could easily wait till he got home to actually eat.

"I've already had lunch" Auroth said, randomly pulling out a brown bag. "Math is too long, and I prefer to eat alone here in the courtyard"
With that, the laconic man stood up. His azure eyes looked all around him as sunlight shinned down upon his pale form. His trench coat ruffled in the wind as he turned to look at Robert. Looking Rob's shoulders, he saw dozens of students now traversing the halls, breaking the silence that he so enjoyed. Sighing silently to himself, he looked up at Robert with his blank eyes. The sun was bright, and it was getting rather annoying too. Stepping swiftly into the shade, he looked over his shoulders to see more students walking down the halls, their chattering rumbling throughout the school. It was rather annoying, and not even in the courtyard could he find respite during lunch. Turning his eyes once more to Robert, Auroth sat down in a chair behind him.....
"So...where to now then?" Auroth asked

Robert shrugged as he watched Auroth stare at the oncoming students coming out of their classes to eat lunch. It wasn't hard to realize that Auroth wasn't a big fan of being in large crowds. Smiling as the chatty students rushed in beginning to fill the courtyard Robert listened to what they had to say. Using his good hearing to easily eavesdrop on their rather loud conversations.
When Auroth asked where to next Roberts brown eyes looked to the school building slowly raising an eyebrow. Yeah were to now he thought rubbing his chin wondering where someone like Auroth who wanted to get away from all the noise would go. "Well a simple solution would to probally head to the library or a classroom. It's lunch time now so a majority of students would be trying to get away from class right about now. Take your pick where" Robert responded resting his chin upon hand as he stood up. There really wasn't to many places that the two could really go to but there was some. Although Robert still didn't known of a majority of these places here. Nor what was or wasn't off limits here.

"Why would you want to visit the classrooms?" Auroth asked, his face as cold as usual. "I say you should go to the hallways... That way you can see the school fully"
Indeed, what Auroth said was true. The bones and muscles of schools are its hallways, which direct and guide students from one path to another. Right now students are bumbling out of class, talking, screaming, hell even fighting. Auroth, however, was rather tired of hearing these people do their average, mundane shit everyday. He offered to talk Robert all over the school.... but out of boredom rather than any sort of sentimental motivation. Opening the door into the hallway, the blonde exited out of the glaring sunlight as he nodded Robert to come. The halls were packed with students, some rushing to the cafeteria for food or others leaving said cafeteria with their food happily in their hands. Teachers roamed the hallways, enforcing order in this otherwise chaotic event known as lunch break.
Sighing to himself, Auroth would close the door the moment Robert stepped in. Right now they were in A Hallway, and the cafeteria right next to the two. Auroth turned his azure eyes down toward Robert, keeping his face blank and expression as per the norm.
"Welcome to A hallway" He said without much enthusiasm.

Following Auroth in the young freshman looked around as they reached A hallway. Even though Robert was knew it still wasn't his first day here and he had already walked down this hallway multiple times. "Guess i can take that as my warm welcome" Robert said in response only joking like he normal did. Turning his head over his shoulder he watched as less and less students walked by. It looked like in a matter of minutes the hallways were already getting pretty empty.
Soon all of the students would be either at lunch or somewhere else. Looking back at Auroth Robert still wondered why he was so willing to show him around. A person who for the most part seemed like a loner was helping a underclassmen. He must be bored or very hard to understand Robert thought shrugging it off.
"So what grade are you in Auroth?" Robert asked. He knew this guy didn't seem like a freshman nor a sophomore. So he had to prob ally be either a junior or senior.

The hallway emptied, silence filling the walls of Hallway A. Most of the students were now probably enjoying themselves in the cafeteria, nibbling away at their lunches in peace, or at least in as much peace as this damn school could offer. Looking down, Auroth eyed Robert. He was bored....terribly, terribly bored.... After all, why was he, a loner, helping out this underclass man? Regardless, the blonde hair warrior soon began to walk down the hall, heading to the intersection between Hall A and Hall B. His foot steps created echoes as he walked down the empty hall way, hands in pocket and eyes directed forward.
"I'm a sophomore" Auroth said rather calmly. Many people when they meet Auroth for the first time assume he's a Junior or even a Senior... but believe it or he is merely just an age above a freshie. "And what about you? From the looks of it, I believe you are a freshman..."
Soon enough he stopped, standing in the middle of a four way intersection between Halls A and B. Three options were upon the two now... Head down Hall A, go the right, or go to the left. Either way, Auroth really didn't care.... He knew the halls so it mattered not where he went.
"So tell me... Forward, left, or right?" Auroth asked, in reference to the direction to go....

"How about right" Robert said as he stood their in the middle of the hallway allowing Auroth to lead him farther in. As the sound of a sigh escaped his lips he tucked his hands deep into his pockets swaying his head to allow the strand of hair over his eye to be swiftly carried away. The sound of his sneakers squeaked throughout the halls as Robert eyeballed his surroundings. Most of this stuff he's seen already but there were some classroom that he had missed or just simply walked by without a care. Didn't matter though, he was getting a tour of the school.
Hearing that Auroth was a sophomore Robert was slightly surprised believing that he was a bit more older. I guess looks can fool ya Robert thought as he pulled his hands out of his pockets and stretched his hands out a bit. "Hey Auroth is there anything in this school that can actually surprise me?" Robert asked deciding maybe it was time to find something more interesting to possibly look at.

"I don't know" Auroth said, shifting his hands into his pocket. "Unless a fight broke out... there isn't much I can help with surprising you. Mostly, there isn't much time in this place to exchange stories of horror or make some razzle dazzle.... Instead, most of the students here worry about their next day... Wondering if that guy that sits behind them has it in for them... If the pillars and their followers found something wrong about them... And shit like that. Hell, you should've been there for the first day Varron and Hircine met. But since then things have been calm..... A bit too calm..."
Indeed, it was like the calm before the storm really. Auroth had sensed the tension shifting from tense to relaxed, yet he knew it wasn't meant to be. Something lurks behind this school, just like bakc at Varron, wishing to crush and destroy the Varronite population into "Good" and "Respectable" members of the community. There always was someone like that... Someone all to ready to force conformity onto others. Here it'll be no different. Then again, Auroth could be wrong... The Varron-Hircine situation has gotten much more calmer... Perhaps indicating that Varron and Hircine have finally merged together?
Pushing these thoughts aside, Auroth looked at Robert. "Say, anything interesting about you? From what I see, you seem to be just a normal, regular, and otherwise plain student.... No violent history? No emotionally disturbing past?"
Auroth knew he was being blunt... But didn't give a damn about it....
