(OOC: I'll give you a shot... Although you really should put more detail in your posts. Being the first reply, I can set the scene here. But otherwise, there is not a lot to build on. Remember; detail is your friend. And just ask if you’re stuck at what details to include. Edit: It also tends to be a bad idea to double post, alternatively, you could use the edit button. Just a tip ) Yet another day, which had the same bustling students lounging around the grounds awaiting the first bell to ring while chatting away to each other. Well, nearly all. There was one alone, leaning against the wall next to the main entrance. This was Gary Connors, wearing a black dress shirt, black khaki pants and navy blue sneakers. He was observing those around him, looking for a person he expected to be walking towards the school sometime soon, but it seemed they would not be arriving, or they had arrived earlier than him. What he did find, was a new face. Whoever he was, it seemed unlikely he was a Varronite. Why did Gary reach that conclusion? This boy had a slim body, and no build that was meant for fighting. Also, the way this boy dressed reminded Gary of a friend he once had back in Ireland. The one who always tried to impress the others, regardless of how many times everyone said "we don't care about how good you are at it, you're great mate and that's all that matters to us." (OOC: I'm presuming you're dressed in the "general outfit" as mentioned in your bio.) But back to the present, how was the nerdy looking fellow dressed? Loose jeans, an orange shirt covered by a blue blazer, glasses and sneakers that happened to be approoximately three sizes too big. Personally, Gary thought that was trying too hard. But others saw it as an easy target. Hircine might have a reputation for being a peaceful school, but since students from Varron were brought to the place new things had cropped up. Things like bullies. As such, a 6 foot, bulky looking blonde began to approach the new kid. Gary's first thought was a memory, the group of friends sticking up for each other, but not being there when one was cornered by the school bully. At that moment, however, Gary was there. It was the first time he had gotten into a fight for a friend and it ended up as Gary being pulled of the bully. After that incident, Gary promised that he would help someone if they were being bullied, but would prevent himself from going too far when he was "helping". He did not move though, instead kept watching, drumming his fingers against the concrete that he was leaning against. How would this new fellow react to the approaching person? Was Gary even right in thinking it was a bully? Well, as always, it would all be revealed in due time.

(OOC: Ugh, sorry for the late response...)
Oh shit. Some big dumbass was walking towards Cody, and he didn't look friendly. He was about 6 feet tall, blonde, and grinning like an idiot. Cody was hoping he wouldn't have to prove himself so soon. He noticed a brown-haired kid, about his age, leaning against a wall, watching him. Assessing him? Well, he won't be dissapointed. Cody kept walking as the blonde kid caught up with him and blocked his view. He had a fair bit of muscle, and looked damn strong. "Excuse me, but I need to get to class." Cody said, looking at his feet. Try to look insignficant. "You ain't goin nowhere geek!" said the blonde kid as he shoved Cody into the ground. Cody got up. "Get back on the ground you faggot-assed bookworm!" He made to shove Cody again but Cody caught his arm and twisted with all his strength. The blonde kid let out an ear-piercing scream. Cody heard two cracks and a ripping sound. Blood trickled down the kid's arm. Cody shoved the kid onto the ground and kicked him in the head, knocking him out cold. He calmly picked up this bag. At this point, everyone in the hallway was staring at him and whispering about the bloody body on the ground. "Oh my god! That nerdy kid just broke that Varronite's arm!" "Yeah no kidding, maybe he's not such a nerd after all..." Cody slung his bag over his shoulder and scanned the wall for the brown haired kid, but he was gone. Cody sighed , then walked to class, feeling as though a hundred eyes were boreing into his back.

(OOC: Another note; careful about controlling other peoples characters. It's called god-modding and is a big no no. Read the rules lately? And for the record, 2 and a half hours isn't really a late response. No worries, eh.) It soon became safe to say, perhaps Gary and the blonde had under-estimated the new kid. Although the move was unnecessary, what was done was done and Gary decided that he could become acquainted. As soon as the scene was over, Gary pushed of the wall, about to make his approach, when someone else approached him first. "Remember me?" A voice spoken by familiar face, not the one Gary had been looking for earlier. Rather, another Varronite, only this one still had several bruises and a few cuts still remaining on his face from his most recent fight. This Varronite gripped Gary by his shoulder and shoved him into a nearby open locker, without any resistance being made. Now out of the sight of everyone except for this person, a little speech began. "Who, on this god almighty fucked up planet, gave you the idea you could touch me and get away with it?" The rage could be noticed a mile of, the tense body, ragged breath and snarling voice was more than an indicator. "Nothing anyone has ever done will compare to what I will put you the fuck through." Gary smiled wryly, leaning forward enough for his whispers to be heard by this person, "You haven't met my sister." Then, he thrust his knee upwards; want to guess where it hit? Gary then locked a grip around the throat, throwing his so-called opponent into the side of a next door locker at a rather odd angle. The retaliatory assault was an enraged charge, one that Gary dodged by stepping back into the locker, leaving one foot in the corridor. The charge was barely missed, leaving the Varronite with little time to react and even less time slow down, let alone stop. The response to that, was a more civilized, "I've got better things to do." The Varronite then got up and walked away. Stepping into the corridor, Gary searched and quickly found the kid he had seen moments ago. Quickly catching up and walking alongside him, Gary simply stated, "Interesting thing you did back there."

(OOC: Sorry, what I meant was not that you had moved, but that I had lost sight of you. Sorry if that was a bit unclear. ) Cody was walking along, completely lost in the large hallways of the school. "Dammit! Isn't there some kind of map?" he said to himself. He heard footsteps behind him and saw the brown haired kid running up to him. "Interesting thing you did back there." He said. Cody didn't look at him. "I did what I felt was necessary. No more. No less." Two hours later, Cody found himself looking for a class. He walked on, wandering pointlessly from door to door, peeking in to see if it was his class. The bell rang. "Shit! I'm late!" He threw his bag on the ground. Can I help you? He looked up to see a kind looking teacher with a large binder in his hand. "Yes please. I'm looking for a Physics class." He stated the teacher's name and period. "Ah yes, that would be my class." Cody was stunned, this teacher was 7 minutes late for his class! "Okay, uh, sorry I'm late." "Oh no problem." the teacher smiled. "Come on, let's go." When he walked out of class, he spotted a group of 6 students. They were bulky and mean looking. They seemed to be walking though the hall, shoving down students in their path. He felt daring. "Hey, you guys." he called out to them. "Why are you so violent." "Cause this damn school is full of pansies." one of them spat. "We need to show them that Varronites can kick their asses." He looked Cody up and down. "Hey, you're that new kid. Nice work in the hallway earlier. You wanna hang with us, bro?" "Uh, no thanks." replied an annoyed Cody. "Maybe when you realize that fighting isn't the only way to show superiority." "What, you gonna go all nerdy on us now?" the Varronite laughed. "Man, for a bit, I actually thought you was cool." "I think we have different ideas of what's 'cool'." replied Cody, and he walked away. He spotted the brown-haired kid again. "Hey. Those Varron transfers really think they're something, don't they?"

A grunt was the reply to the kid’s question. They might be similar in that both the teenagers use unnecessary force when fighting, but Gary acknowledged the damage he did, regardless of how absent his apologies are. It was then that he decided to get going to his lesson. Just as well to, for that was when the bell rang.
Now, Gary was expecting this particular day to go by like any other; perhaps the odd scuffle, maybe he would lose his temper; maybe he would just be bored most of the day while listening to conversations. Just like any other day, except this time, it was a teacher who got on his nerves. To which end, Gary had lashed out, tried to throw a punch at the teachers jaw, the punch was deflected, Gary dodged the teachers right hook, but did not see the round house that followed. Thanks to which, he was winded and forced himself to control his actions. This reminded him that teachers actually know how to fight.
Now an hour later, it was break time and Gary was walking down a hall, and then was approached by the dope he had seen earlier. Or at least, 'dope' was what Gary felt like calling him right there and then. In fact, that's what he did, with the rest of what was said, "You think you have any idea? Before getting kicked by the teacher today, I heard that a good bunch of them are taking part in the tournament. So then dope, if you want to see how good they are, join up to that; beat them all and then say about how much they think they're something."
Gary wasn't even sure if this kid knew about the monthly tournament. But then again, he didn't particularly care either. He didn't know too much about it himself, only what he had heard, maybe he would find the guy who organizes it and sign up some time.

The final bell rang and the students started to file out onto the street. Cody began walking home, thinking about the 'tournament'. On the way to his house, he saw a group of 7 or so juniors and freshmen, and one sophomore with a trench coat walking towards him fast. Most of them held baseball bats, one held a wine bottle, and another still held a crowbar. Cody stopped and slowly unzipped the back pocket of his blazer, closing his hand on his switchblade. "What do you want?" he asked, the switchblade halfway out of his pocket. "Don't fucking mess with transfers you little nerd." Cody had drawn the knife, and was ready to flip it open. "What are you, the fucking mob? You gonna lynch me?" The sophomore drew a small pistol, and pointed it at Cody's leg. "Naw, we're just gonna watch you scream when I shoot you in the-"
The knife was open and at the kid's throat in a second. "Care to reconsider?" Cody was playing a dangerous game, he didn't intend to use the knife at all, but he was good at bluffing. The sophomore looked stunned at this sudden action, then grinned. Cody's heart sank. His bluff had been called. "C'mon you little runt. Fucking stab me. I dare ya." Cody noticed that he was being encircled by the small group. They brandished their various blunt objects menacingly. Cody scanned the small street for onlookers. "Oh no, nobody to help you now, runt." grunted the sophomore, and he pistol whipped Cody on his shoulder. Cody felt immense pain, and thought something was broken. He swung into action, taking a step, then pivoting with his foot high. It connected with the nearest person to him, and knocked him down. The other 6 blunt-object wielders swarmed in on him, smashing him with their weapons.
The one with a wine bottle aimed for his head, and hit it hard, smashing the glass bottle into tiny shards. Cody fell onto the ground. He opened his eyes and could not see, for the blow had sent his glasses flying. He tasted blood, and saw blurry silhouettes standing over him. He heard sirens. "Shit man! Heat!" "Run!" The silhouettes dissapeared. Two new silhouettes appeared. "Hey kid? Can you hear me?" Before everything went black, Cody had one thought in his mind. I think I will sign up for that tournament...
