Well, lately I've been seeing a mix of the two, and it reminds me of the old argument a year ago as to what we should call the Hircinians and Varronites. To note, in some threads I see people refer to Paragon's students as "Paragonites," and in others I've seen "Paragonians."
Now, there can be various reasons why you could use either. I understand that "Paragon" sounds similar to "Varron," and that might be why you call it "Paragonite," and I know "Paragonian" might sound awkward, but keep in mind that both are pretty bad, and after a conversation I had with Aryck Venn, I think the choice that works best in terms of sound is "Paragonian," considering the sound of the 'g' and such.
Still, everyone has their own opinion, so I wanted to know what everyone thought sounded like the proper word. So have at it.

Both sound ridiculous, but if I'm forced to pick, I'd go with Paragonian.
Why? Paragonite sounds like a pokemon. I can't bear that shit.

Paragonian sounds like something from The Elder Scrolls... :p
Yeah, Allen's right. I think I'm the only one who's been using 'Paragonite', and it is because it sounds like 'Varron'.

Paragonite sounds like a pokemon. XD Dragonite! I was tempted to throw in Paragonese and Paragonish, but settled on Paragonians. It makes me think of dead things you'd only find after digging 'em up.

We should've just opted for something different. If it's yet another school with another force transfer, least we could do is establish a new title, of all things. Think of different titles, like even within our country (ex. I would be referred to as a New Yorker), or like that idea Val offered (Paragonese), or other variations like Poland's Poles, etc.
I like simply "Paragons". Another thing is trying to keep this on a realistic level. I mean, do you really think kids would really refer to so-and-so as so-and-so? "Paragons" is simple, realistic, and yeah. But, since I think it's established that I like to argue (>_>), i'll leave it at that. I'll leave my... "sour" vote on Paragonian.

"Wow, those damn Paragons... aren't they a hoot?" ... Should I say more Manuel? I get your gist, but hell, until somebody can come up with a better or, dare I say it, more realistic title, I think we'll just keep to the two that everyone around the board has used thus far, aye? I mean damn, "Paragoner" certainly doesn't work, or "Paragonan." So until we can find something better, I think "Paragonian" and "Paragonite" will do just fine. And even then, one of these two sounds better. Question is, which one?

Paragon has to many vowels and the G for 'ite' to sound right, so go with the 'ian' and we'll be fine.
That is, of course, only when speaking of the masses. Otherwise, who cares what you call a singluar person.

Frankly, I hate all the titles presented. I try to avoid the corny sounding titles as much as possible, so I usually just say "hircine student" or vice versa.

Personally, I don't like either. However, I choose Paragonians because it at least kind of fits. Paragonites just seems awkward.

PG's? As in, "There goes a PG." or "Another demented PG student."
I fell like a nickname for the Paragon students should be demeaning, considering the environment and how Hircine as a whole feels about them. Something like 'Parasites' or like how the beach version of deliquant is a 'surf rat', a new guy is a n00b, a sport biker is a Squid, and so on.

Or we could just, you know, call 'em students.
Honestly, I find this labelling thing ridiculous, same as it was back in Varron vs. Hircine.

Never really thought about it before, but if you pronounce the 'go' in 'Paragonian' like the word 'go' itself rather than as part of the word 'paragon' (ie: paraGOnian instead of paragAHnian) it actually sounds, well... normal and realistic.
My vote, however, is for effin' paragonistas.

Paragonese?
And no, I am not being somehow racist. I mean, there were Genoese and they were white!
But otherwise, why don't we call them Paragons?

Why does every character have to call them the same thing?
Or is this an OOC discussion? I admit I came in on this late.
