Now there's a response I didn't expect.
The girl was getting funnier by the minute. Kai actually thought for a moment, never thinking the question could have been bounced back at him. It was like an ace serve, and it was taking Kai too long to respond. He only had seconds to think of a response before the ball went out of his reach.....
"I don't," he said simply, giving her his wide-eyed, yet baggy stare. "But I asked you. Bit unfair to bounce it right back at me," he said, a slight smile on his face. Did she do that just because she didn't have a proper response? He slung the bag over one shoulder and prepared to leave.
"It was nice seeing you....." he said softly, dropping a piece of paper into the grass with one of his phones' numbers on it. Not that I expect you to call.

Reiye took notice of Kenji's reaction, and she can't help but laughs mentally at his facial expression. That wide-eyed, baggy stare was just so ... different then anyone's expression she had ever seen. Does he even sleep?!
Anyway, he soon spoke out, replying to the question she had posed back at him earlier. After he finished, she would let a subtle smile escape her cold exterior, if he was able to catch that. It gradually disappeared though, when he mentioned how it isn't fair what she did. Only one thought came into her mind at that moment: Life is never fair.
He soon grabbed his bag, preparing to leave, but not before speaking once again. She said nothing at first and just gave a slight nod. She didn't really need to say anything. That small smile, if he noticed it, was more than enough of a response. Before he left, he had dropped a small piece of paper onto the grass, landing a few inches away from her.
She glanced down at the paper, and slowly reached out to grasp it gently. Taking her time to read the numbers on the small piece, she finished by taking her own cell phone out slowly, like usual. Her actions seem almost graceful, always taking her time.
Staring at her own w850i, the girl added her new contact. Might as well, right? Plus, she hates holding or keeping small pieces of papers. She would eventually forget about them, and possibly lose them. Now, she was actually trying to decide whether she should give him her own number or not. Well, he is polite enough to give her his, although she didn't ask for it. She might as well. Plus, he's an interesting one; she was sure she won't be feeling any distaste for him anytime soon. And so, she called. That didn't last though. She clicked end before he would be able to pick up. She didn't call because she wanted to talk, obviously. He would get her number from this. She wasn't sure if he'd know it's her, but from what she figured out thus far, she was almost sure he'd figure it out. Plus, if he looks back, he would definitely see Reiye with her white cell phone out.

I knew it.
The corners of Kai's mouth twisted up into a small smile. Without even looking back, he'd seen her add the number into her phone, and call him. He had set his phone to camera mode and taken a quick picture of what was going on behind him. Now.His phone let off a soft, average ringtone, riiiing....[/i] and stopped. Of course. He slid his phone open and looked at the number. He clicked "add" to phone book and slid it shut, never looking back or slowing his pace as he walked. However, remembering something, he slid the phone and began typing, sending a text message to Reiye.
Destroy the paper.

The sound signalling for a text message could be heard quietly from Reiye's phone as the girl clicked 'yes', and started reading the message.
Destroy the paper.
That was all it said. Reiye was surprised, even if she didn't show it. Destroy the paper? Why? What would be the point? She was curious, but there was really no point in asking either. She didn't reply the message, neither did she look at the paper in her hand either. She closed her eyes for a brief moment before reopening them and finally stood up slowly.
Glancing in Kenji's direction, which is straight ahead, one last time, she turned and walked the opposite direction while placing her cell phone back into her shorts pocket. The flash of pink that belongs to the girl moving rhythmically against her back each step she takes towards the closest entrance of Hircine High. She brought the small piece of paper up, closer to her face, as she takes one last look. Shrugging the thought off, she ripped it in half, then again, and again, until bits and pieces remain. The number on the paper would be impossible to recognize, and the tiny pieces would be impossible to reattach. As she arrives at one of the entrance, she threw the bits and pieces into the nearby trash can.
