Well I was just sitting in my room, as always, and thought up this great little question. What is your life motto? Do you live by it or not? What made you choose the saying as your motto?
As for me, I was talking to my father a year or two ago about suicide. After discussing it, I asked him his opinion on the act. He responded by saying, "Suicide is a short term solution to a long term problem." I know I know, it's pretty optimistic and slightly condescending to those that choose to commit the act. And my motto is a response to this belief. A quick retort if you will. My motto is, "Time is relative." This is because it is if you think about it. Whenever you have a great time, time flies by. Whenever you are bored, it slows down. And when you are depressed, it is pretty much at a stand still. No matter how long you wait, it feels as though it will never end. Seconds become minutes, minutes become hours, days become years. And they feeling never goes away.
That's my motto. What's yours?

My recent motto is simple...
"Quit whine, start slash."
Sometimes with something else than slash inserted. Simple motto.

That's kinda cool. I think I had some sort of motto, a kind of way to live by. The one that I've been following as of recently was inspired by a friend of mine. "Better safe than sorry... but if you're safe, then you'll be sorry." We were sitting down one day at work, chillin', wasting time, and we just started talking about clubs and stuff. I'm not a club person, but him and all of our other friends go every week. I don't do drugs either surprisingly. In the end, it motivated me to do more things, whether it was going out more or getting back "in the game", it felt great. I started taking more risks, and I met some amazing people too (yes my inactivity here wasn't in vain). I even started working out differently, going through different trial-n-errors amongst other sciences involving the body that I wanted to try out as well.
of course, other words I liked include
"If you ain't laughing, you ain't living." "Just smile." "Live and learn." + "Shit happens." "You never know till you try." "Fuck school."
But, when I think about it, my motto would be everything that comes down to my "philosophy" about everyday matters. Just... shrug your shoulders, smile, and say "That's life..." and keep moving along.

Meh, don't know, guess it all depends on the mood. But I think 'Life sucks, grow up and get over it.' is still rock solid.

I have several others, but I like that one a lot.
Another one is
"Fuck you.
If anyone in this city gave two tugs of a dead dogs cock about truth this would've never happened."
