The winds blew strong against the side of the building. Alkaiser had just finished his walk from the dorms to school, while thinking about his display in front of the captain the other day. Truly, he was displeased with how the situation played out, but he achieved his objective of the day nonetheless.
As he approached the end of the wall, a jumble of sounds could be heard from just around the corner. Steve poked his head out to see a pair of students grappling on the ground. Steve recognized one of the men vaguely, although he had no name to go with the face. The other one was wearing a newly-ripped Hircine High track jacket. Although neither one was doing any real damage anymore, the fight had gotten costly in it's early stages, as both students had cuts on their eyebrows and around their faces.
It seemed there was nobody else near the scene. Steve glanced quickly in each direction, and could not see any bystanders. No witnesses. This motivated him to take his next action. Quickly, he dashed in and ripped the Varron student off the top of the pile. He grabs him by the collar and presses him up against the wall to make sure he has his full attention.
What the hell do you think you're doing!? This kinda crap is why they have a vendetta against us! Get outta here now!
Steve throws the Varronian in the direction of the school's front door, which he quickly stumbles towards. He then turns to the Hircinian. He grabs him by the arm and picks him off the ground. The boy is trembling.
"You know who I am?" Steve asks. "f-f-f-freshman c-c-cap-," "Nah. You've got the wrong guy. I'm just another student at Hircine High. So you've really got no reason to say anything more about this incident, do you?" Steve's question is met with a cautious head shake from the boy. Alkaiser let's the kid go and he scrambles off to class.
Now, with that taken care of Steve resumes his walk towards the door. He forgets to check around again for people who might have seen what just happened. Although before he knew that such an onlooker would be catastrophic to his agenda of making a name for himself, at this point he is just thinking about how he will make his entrance for today.

A pair of headphones kept Dimitri from hearing exactly what had happened between the three. But one thing was for sure, one of them was clearly better than the others. But, he also got the feeling that he hadn't seen the whole story, especially since he had just arrived when the one that seemed to come out on top was holding up one of the other two against the wall and was shouting something in his face. It was slightly different than a classic bullying. For one, the guy threw no punches, nor did his body language suggest he would. And there was no money being pulled out of the pockets. A lecture, perhaps?
Meanwhile, Dimitri was standing there like a dumbfounded idiot, watching the whole thing play out. He was oblivious to the whole Varron-Hicine student rivalry. One could say he was a third party, being a transfer from a Washington State school. And as such he really had no place in these arguments. He did know of the rivalry, and figured that was what almost every fight in the school was about these days. That's why he liked to play the weak nerd, so people would just leave him out of it.
"O-out of my way!"
The one held up against the wall was scrambling for class, and pushed Dimitri off to the side as he ran for the door he had just come in from. Judging from the strength of the push, the guy wasn't all that strong. Removing his headphones from his ears, he looked around and his eyes settled on the one who had ended the fight. He was curious to know exactly what happened.

A solitary figure was overlooked through the entire messy scene, an onlooker as most were at this point in the fight but more so out of the way. He was leaning against the wall across from where this small skirmish was going on, he himself nearly avoiding a confrontation in the parking lot a bit earlier in the day. The boy he knew simply as Troy was tackled to the ground by this new student, apparently another one from Varron, and they became entangled in a ravaging ball of hate.
A younger student came from around the nearby corner just to Kiyoshi's left and miraculously broke up the fight. At least some of these Varronites have some sense... he thought to himself as the one who started the fight ran off toward school. The small crowd that gathered to watch the fight began to clear as this, what appeared to be, freshman continues on his way as if nothing happened.
Clap.... Clap..... Clap.....
Kuro began to applaud slowly as he began walking toward this younger student. "Good work there. I've not seen that much guts in a long time." he says, his long legs catching him up to the smaller boy quickly at merely a walk until he was right beside him. "The name is Kurohyou and I'm not really all too big in this school, except for the height of course, but I'm well connected. Hircian, of course, but I have no grudges... yet. But yea, anyways, what's your name?"

~This kid is worse than me...~ Malikai thought to himself as he yet again watched this Alkaiser character seemingly try to intimidate another boy with what he expected to be another lie. In a sense, Alkaiser was as bad if not worse than Malikai. The main difference was Malikai liked to argue to the point his prey swung first then fight. Alkaiser on the other hand talked tough and swung first, similar but different in their own respects.
It was that similarity that most likely brought Malikai here in the first place, that and watching two rivals fight it out. He was more interested if a riot would break out because of this. Sadly it did not thanks to that punk ass getting involved before word really spread as to what was going on. If anyone who really cared had been watching. By the looks of things it was just a small amount of just curious people who looked and left. Only by the looks of it now, one other student was intently watching.
The boy was tall with black hair. Tall was a bit of an understatement, the fact he was so thin added to the look of him. At first to be completely honest Malikai thought the boy was a god damn walking stick. Boy did he feel slightly stupid when he realized that it had been a person all along.
Malikai pushed himself off the wall where he was standing just beside a shrub and made his way over to Alkaiser and the very tall boy. "He doesn't have a name, based on his earlier display and his current display I don't really think he has a name or knows exactly who he is...Besides a rather gutsy individual and a smart ass that is." Malikai's tone was more joking then anything else, or as to what he assumed was a joking tone, at least thats what the student he was copying it from considered a playful tone. Not to mention that fact he had a small grin on his face.
He hoped he had not overly offended Alkaiser but if he did it was not intentional. After all, Malikai had no real idea how to deal with people.

Taj was taking normal contemplating stroll through the school grounds, and it was lunchtime so it wasn't like he had anything better to do anyways. He had already eaten his lunch and it was best for him to do what he did best. -TAG PLACES UP- Taj never tagged in school, he always felt that it was a bit degrading for the janitor to have to clean it up all the time, but with the recent chaos and uproar that has been going on for the past couple of days, he figured the janitor would probably not even bother cleaning up his precious little street art. So, with a bag full of spray paint on his shoulder he began looking for a nice wall to tag up the word, "KAISER", in big beautiful letters, it was then when he noticed three familiar faces and one very unfamiliar one.
Alkaiser, the Varron who still owes him a fight.
Malakai, the benedict of Hircine High
And that nerdy kid Dimitri in his first period class.
Taj was never a man to hold grudges, well if he did have grudges he always tried to bury them and make amends. He was told once that one has never lived without having any regrets. So Taj, made on of his lifetime goals to never have any regrets in his life. He had already had a few, like running away from home that one time, but he tried to keep his regrets on the small side. He decided he would make amends with Alkaiser, considering that he didn't seem like THAT much of a bad guy, even though he came into the school claiming to be a, "Former Freshman Captain". And with this thought Taj forgot about tagging the school and made his way over to where Alkaiser, Dimitri, Malakai, and the unfamiliar guy was standing. As Taj approached the group of students he began to speak so that they would all get his attention.
"Yo Alkaiser, I just wanted to say that maybe we got off on the wrong foot. I mean we don't have to like each other, but I would hate to hold any type of grudges." Taj walked passed everyone and stood directly in front of Alkaiser.
"I've realized that I was being a bit prejiduice when it came to Varron students. I mean sure you guys have a horirble reputation and you were just thrown in our school without us having any type of decision in the matter, AND you are invading our space, BUT I guess I may of overreacted without giving any Varronites a chance."
Taj then put his hand out in the gesture of a handshake, hoping to maybe once again settle the animosity between the two. As he did this he quickly gave Malakai a hard glare.
[As for you...Your everything I don't stand for, You want to destory the hierarchy and bring chaos to the school just like what happened to Varron Academy, You truly are a benedict.] Taj thought to himself while he glared at Malakai.

"O-out of my way!" was the phrase that brought Steve's attention back to the Varronite he had just dealt with. The boy was running to class just as instructed, but now a new student stood in his place. This was what Steve meant to be cautious about...bystanders. Alkaiser's relief was in the fact that the boy looked positively bewildered, and therefore could probably be convinced that nothing important had just taken place.
Uhh...hey kid...
A second noise then took Alkaiser's attention, as he now noticed a lurker applauding his performance. This one had definitely seen everything. He identified himself a Kurohyou, and also gave a background on his position in the school. While the first boy merely seemed curious, this one seemed to have a purpose for being here. Alkaiser began to wonder what that might be, just as his attention was taken away yet again.
Erm...huh?
Barzahd's head now whipped over to recognize that his newest friend and rival, Malikai, had made an appearance. "Is this guy stalking me?" he thought to himself innocently. He made a light joke about how Steve didn't have a name, which was mostly true. Juggling the persona of the trouble-making ex-freshman captain of Varron high with his hidden true persona of wanting to keep the peace had left a lot of questions unanswered in a lot of other people's minds.
Well, you see...
Finally, the Hircinian that Steve almost tangled with the day before, Taj, popped up on the scene. To Steve's surprise, he had come with a purpose as well; to apologize. It seemed from what he was saying that he didn't see what had just happened, but his timing was still terrible. Alkaiser didn't want to relinquish his lie when it was just about to start paying off for him...but he also wanted to keep as few enemies as possible. He cleared his throat obnoxiously and loudly to catch the attention of all four of the people around him.
"My name is Alkaiser, and I'm the baddest thing on either coast!" Steve began to boast, even though his act was quite transparent. He was keeping his persona, while allowing the four others to figure out that this front he was putting up was really just a mask. Now here came the cover up. "I'm just on my way to school, so there's really no need to mention what just happened ever again." He looked each of them in the eyes, practically telling them sorry right there. Individually, he probably could have leveled with them, but together he had to put on the act.
Barzahd now turned to take his leave, nodding slightly to Malikai as he had done for him, then pausing next to Taj and putting his hand on his shoulder. "You still owe me a few rounds. Stay healthy." Although he had refused the handshake, he gave a small wink of trust to the student. Continuing his walk, Steve now can only hope that each of them will approach him individually later so that he can clear things up with each. He gives an ambiguous smile to the quiet boy he had seen first while he passes.

"My name is Alkaiser, and I'm the baddest thing on either coast!"
As Taj heard Alkaiser yell this obnoxious comment, he couldn't help but to think that this guy is a mindless idiot, simply looking for credit he didn't deserve. An annoyed look ran across Taj's face.
[This guy....is such a dickhead. Oh well All I wanted to do was disable any remaining tension between us, and I GUESS I accomplished that goal.]
"I'm just on my way to school, so there's really no need to mention what just happened ever again.
Taj was a bit puzzled by this comment, considering he didn't know what happen prior to his arrival, then again, it's not like he cared anyways.
Then Alkaiser did something quit surprising to Taj. He walked by Taj, rejected his handshake, but instead put his hand on Taj's shoulder, belittling him, and responded to Taj's apology by saying.
"You still owe me a few rounds. Stay healthy."
[Stay healthy!? This guy OBVIOUSLY doesn't know who the hell I am. Oh well he'll find out soon enough. We'll fight off school grounds. I would rather not have to hear the banter of the hierarchy for this one.]
Taj responded with a sarcastic chuckle.
"Yeah okay Alkaiser, Former Freshman Captain."
With this Taj looked toward the benedict Malakai,
"And as for you benedict, I'll handle you as well. Watch your back."
And with that, Taj turned around and made his way toward class.

Apparently this 'freshman captain' was a pretty popular guy because not to long after approaching him himself, two others joined in on the scene. Kuro seemed to ignore their presences and continued walking evenly with the shorter and younger student, but at the same time he kept careful watch on everybody around him.
The Tagger, Taj, was the only one he knew about for sure. He had never met the guy, but he was randomly impressed by some of his 'artwork' around the city. The tagname he went by was Kaiser, oder 'emperor' auf Englisch, which gave him an attitude about himself before introductions were made.
The guy off to the side with glasses seemed not to pose any harm at all to Kuro, seeing as he was more or less dumbstruck by the whole skirmish.
And the third, most active of the three to Kuro, was a little less new to the school than the Varronites. Kuro'd seen him around, he seemed like that mysterious kind of guy that lurked in the shadows only to come out randomly and cause some mischief before retreating again and watch the whole thing play out from a safe distance. Very much the kind of person Kuro would like to meet...
Not too long after the two had spoken to this 'freshman captain', he made a scene which seemed to dumbstrike the three that had approached him enough for him to make a getaway. Kuro and Malikai by the fact they were completely blown off by this Alkaiser and Taj apparently by something that came up between the two earlier that looked like had just been renewed.
Jesus... Is this guy serious? My mistake for assuming a Varronite had any sense. Kiyoshi thought to himself as he turned to the one now known as 'the benedict' and nodded slightly in a sign of respect and hopes for another meeting between the two. With that he shrugged and turned back to where he had been standing before to retrieve his books, going about it at what would be a 'normal' pace, but for Kuro it was more so a slow pace.
What the hell is up with all these titles? "Alkaiser", "The Kaiser", "The Benedict"... Hell, I should just start going by "The Panther". he thought to himself only half amused as he knelt down to pick up his things.

"Handle me like the captain handles you?" Malikai replied his laughing eyes now turned to gaze upon Taj. "You talk big but you will never be big because you lack the balls to do what is necessary to get the job done. I stand here now ready for any assault from any student who wishes to fight me, I am not afraid of the consequences. You throw slurs and talk shit but when it comes down to the wire you would rather run with the tail between your legs just because you may get in trouble with the Captain." Malikai's tone was mocking at best if not demeaning overall.
It was not secret Malikai was a good instigator he knew how to push the buttons of these so called tough guys to get them to act. He was just doing it for a second time to Taj, and we wasn't even breaking a sweat. It would not take much longer for Taj to snap and attack but perhaps a little more pushing was in order.
Malikai began to calculate what would come next, what insult could he throw now to make Taj attack. Many people took Malikai's over use of language as a weakness, the considered it annoying and a sign of weakness. Most people figured all he could do was bark but had no bite. It was a common and fortunate misconception on the part of many which usually led them to unpleasant situations. Here was a good example of one right now.
The other boy, the one not to far away seemed to be interested in what was going on. He stood there silent as everything unfolded, probably partly brought on by the fact he was basically ignored as it stood. No matter Malikai was confident that should this boy wish to speak his peace he would do so again.
"So run back to your master little doggy and take your hollow threats with you. Oh but do comeback when you grow the balls to face me on school property."

It had quickly turned into a minefield out there. Dimitri's decision to stay quiet and do nothing was a wise one. Some big names had come up, and he wasn't the kind to find out if they could live up to the hype of their given names. Alkaiser, Kaiser, Benedict, and though he didn't know that particular one, there had been a Panther too. What did he have to compete? HAX? A gamer handle? There's something intimidating for you, three capital letters they'd see on most every arcade machine in the local area. Scary.
Sure, he could show them that he actually did have combat skills, power enough to snap limbs and shatter dreams, but again, that wasn't his style. The urge to fight was strong, but not strong enough to overcome logic. Especially when Kaiser and Benedict were on the verge of starting their own brawl.
But even with this knowledge, he wanted to stay and watch, to see what came of it. So basically his false bewilderment was left to aim for the Benedict, who was pouring insults out of his mouth like they were seeds from a watermelon. Some was harsh, and some of it was dated, unoriginal insults from the old-school. When hot-heads were involved, the old school was the best way to go. But there was something bad about fighting here. The pillars and the captain. They could show up soon, at any time.
"H-hey..." Dimitri made sure to keep his voice weak, but still easily heard, timid in tone, but loud enough to hear clearly. "You should get out of here... The hierarchy will get here soon, right? I heard they're capable of knocking anyone flat out... Save your insults for later, when you're free of distractions."

"H-hey...You should get out of here... The hierarchy will get here soon, right? I heard they're capable of knocking anyone flat out... Save your insults for later, when you're free of distractions."
A timid voice could be heard after Malikai's words were finished, they seemed to have no effect on Taj. If they did he was just doing a very good job of hiding them, one beyond what he saw yesterday. There was no doubt that his fear was all that was holding back his temper, an irrational fear of some elf imposed student hierarchy.
The voice however was calm, almost as if the tone itself had been practiced by its over. Calmness to avoid violence if only Malikai knew how to be calm to such a degree. If he could figure out how he might not end up being everyones enemy. If only he stayed in one place long enough as a child to develop the skills to do so. As it stood all Malikai knew how to do was to follow orders and argue to the point of a fight.
Malikai was thinking the same thing when his eyes went roaming for the owner of the voice. When it landed on the owner Malikai knew there would be no fight here. Malikai would not start a fight with this kid for all the money in the world, instead all this kid would get was respect.
He stood only maybe 5 foot 2 inches at the most and was rather small. Being small made him more dangerous than the wanna-be tough guy Taj. Small people as Malikai learned before a rather large growth spurt 5 months ago always had something to prove. Standing at only 5'5 at the time he was the prime target for bullies who loved to pick on the smaller students. As a result small you became tougher, and more determined to make up for your lack of height. For these reasons Malikai could only imagine how potentially dangerous this boy could be.
There was an old saying a boy named Bane had once told Malikai relating to a wide range of related subjects. ~Never mess with the quiet ones as they'll sneak up behind you and stab you in the back; never kick the smart guys butt because one day he'll be firing yours; and never push around a kid that never pushes back because your not the first but you might be the last.~ These words are rules that Malikai had lived by for many years and just because this school was not the same as the ones in Europe and Asia did not mean he would change his rules.
"They won't come and if they do it will be because they have found it beneficial to take action against me." Malikai's tone had changed from venomous toward Taj to just a normal calm tone as he talked to the new boy. "Students claiming power over others do not scare me and good for them if they can beat me up, I fear no pain. Thanks for your concern but if your so worried then I suggest you leave. I refuse to run from anyone."

After repacking the things that had slid out of his bag onto the ground, Kuro stood and smoothly slung his black shoulderbag over his head to rest it on his shoulder. He had been listening to the various conversations going on about him, but payed particular attention to what The benedict and seemingly weakling were saying.
His movements were even and fluid as he stood, almost appearing as if someone were watching a sculpture melt in reverse. He turned slowly to face the two, more so Dimitri, and he began walking in the general direction of them.
"You know what? Fuck the hierarchy!" he said to them both, the second sentence loud enough for most people in the general area to hear as well. "I really couldn't care less if they showed up; in fact, let them come! They are plainly students as we are, so what is the point in fearing the almighty titles that they have?" Kuro said as he stopped about six feet from the more outspoken one.
"Hell, I'm with you, nutjob. Let them come and do what they will. Beating up random students with no reason is going to earn them something far more than what they want. I recognize no man for their physical strength, it is what is in the mind that counts most, right?." he directs toward Malikai, adjusting the strap from his bag.

Well at least Malikai was right about the boy talking again, didn't expect the colorful language though. Not only that Malikai did not expect to be insulted. His left eyebrow raised slightly at the fact he had just been called a nut job. That was just not nice especially since Malikai had done nothing toward the boy to warrant it. Most of what he said however Malikai had either said (students with titles) and agreed with much of the rest. Even though he did his instinct to fight had overcome him after being called a nut job. There would be no flying insults coming or wise assed remarks but more of a test. A test to see if the boy really meant what he said by challenging his last question.
"They say the pen is mightier than the sword correct?" The question was clearly rhetorical in nature and Malikai would not expect him to answer and if he did then it would be rather funny. Why funny? Simply because he would cut off Malikai's next sentence and looks stupid.
"Really though when you look at the world through time and even to the present really the pen and the sword are equal. In actual fact the pen is only as powerful as the sword used to enforce it." There was a point to this madness but because of how long winded Malikai tended to be he had to drag everything out to the last word just because he could. It was annoying and in time to come Malikai would come to work on it, but as it stood they would have to bare it.
"The same could be said for intelligence and strength. A general for all his worth and his tactics can do nothing without the force of men he uses to implement his plan. With that said you may or may not see that in fact strength and intelligence are like the sword and the pen. A good idea is just a good idea until someone with the ability to make it reality does so. So where you say intelligence is the most important asset in an ideal world would be true in reality it is just as important as the power of a punch."

Kuro stood silently and allowed the Benedict to speak his mind, a slight grin spreading across his face. So I find one to counter me in ways of speech... It's been so long since I've anyone near this calibur. he thought as Malikai's words matched much of what Kuro had always thought. His facial expression would appear more amused than anything, but in reality Kuro was quite impressed by this Benedict's rhetoric. A surprisingly wise man indeed had he found under estranged circumstances.
"True and coherent, that. But though strength and wisdom should come hand-in-hand, what is strength without knowledge to use it. You speak the truth so, but what is strength alone? If there were to be a choice between strength and wisdom alone, mind you, I would surely choose wisdom, for even the strongest shall perish if not lead correctly. A fine example we can all go by is Varron Academy." he says, taking a black executive pen from his coat pocket.
"And that old quotation is just as most old things are; obsolete. Truly, depending on the user there is nothing that could be mightier than another. The instrument is only just an extension of the person wielding it. If I were to set a sword next to a pen and expect one to win out, I would be completely foolish; they are naught but inanimate objects." he tosses the pen over to Malikai, in an arch easy enough to catch.
"I retract what I said earlier. You aren't a nutjob by any means. It's just that you go on so long in a rhetoric without pauses to interject, my first impression was that you spoke just to speak. You're much like myself... You speak to enlighten others through chaos. I like that." Kuro takes a few steps forward and offers his hand to the younger student.
"I'm called Kurohyou, and I apologize for my hasty decision on character."

"You misunderstand my concern... I'm not worried about my own well being... I'm not nearly strong enough for people to notice. The only thing I can dominate is a written test." Dimitri's tone had gotten a little bolder from the extremely meek tone he used before. "The pillars don't even know I exist unless I'm in front of them in the lunch line. I guess, that's how I survive here... Must seem at least a little pathetic, surviving simply because you're not worth the effort..." He scoffed a little, thinking it was pathetic himself, but it was safe. Safety was what mattered.
That comment probably fell on deaf ears as soon as somebody decided to shout out "Fuck the hierarchy!" Well hopefully that didn't draw unwanted attention. Dimitri just sat down against the wall, listening to the words thrown back and forth. One spoke of titles as being nothing, yet used labels to classify people. "Nutjob" was a title of sorts, just not a very well-appreciated one. And those titles were the key to one's life in the face of others. Dimitri himself was labeled "Unimportant", and that made him go unnoticed in the school. The pillars and the captain were labeled as the most powerful, and as such were a focus of the school. Titles were ever-present indications of one person's capabilities. What that guy truly spoke of was ignoring those warnings.
But the Benedict spoke some choice words. It was a rather strong truth. Words and power went hand in hand though life. Words and ideas sparked revolutions. In time, those ideas would change, and actions would be taken accordingly. It was called corruption. It wasn't always a bad thing to corrupt an idea, as a corruption was simply a change in the idea that deviates from the original. But those corruptions didn't occur to everyone the same way, creating new and differing ideas from one another. Those ideas, sparked by the change, the corruption, of their former ideas, sparked new actions. It was an endless cycle, like almost anything in life.

The small boy began to talk about his worthlessness when it came to school in respects deviating from the academics. Malikai had spend 10 long years doing what this boy had done. Just getting by because for the most part you were not worth the effort is not a way to live. Look at what it eventually did to Malikai as a person, not only could he not shut up but for the most part all he could do was fight over every little thing. Being a Hircinian however and an unnoticed one could possibly make him of more worth then he made himself out to be. ~Never mess with the quiet ones as they'll sneak up behind you and stab you in the back...~ The words ever present in his mind running endlessly on repeat.
"I lived your way for 10 years and look at what it did to me..." Malikai said opening his arms as if to show himself off. "10 long years of having no one and being no one and look at me now! They call me the Benedict and shun me more than before, but at the same time they fear me and some even respect me because I am for once not afraid to do something."
His eyes were directly on the boy as he spoke his next words as if no one else was there. "You are not weak you are in fact more dangerous then I. You can move and act uncontested, unseen as you please, your mind if what you say is true for all I know has limitless possibilities of use against your enemies. And considering where you are I seriously doubt you do not know how to fight and because of your size I know you know exactly how to fight a larger opponent to full effect."
He gave is second or third long winded speech of the day and now kurohyou spoke again. Malikai listened intently noting the key points of his argument and even caught the pen as it was tossed to him. Malikai looked at it for a few minutes rolling it between his index finger and thumb before speaking again. "Varron cannot be fully used as an example simply because we do not know enough about them to do so."He said flicking the pen up and catching it again. "Make no mistake many of those students like Alkaiser who was here earlier have both the mind and the ability to get what they want. Many of them are animals in the truest sense fighting for no reason. It is the predators behind these wild imbeciles you must be weary of. Their school made them both more intelligent and more powerful than many of us hope to be, they have adapted to survive in a more volatile environment than many of us have, and that makes them dangerous."
Malikai tossed the pen back to Kurohyou imitating the same way he threw it. He smiled before he continued to talk "Of course I am a nut job and I do speak for the sake of speaking. I have spent so much time keeping quiet that I take full advantage of the time I am given to speak. Plus it takes a nut job to do what I am doing anyways...trust me a sane and reasonable person would not take sides against a Hircinian in a fight against a Varronite nor would he stand against a Pillar so openly and question his authority. All I know is sometimes fate favors those who are will to try so that is what I do."

The smaller boy spoke up again, his voice sounding much more confident than before. He talked about how he was unnoticed and disregard here within Hircine; much of which was true enough because Kuro barely noticed him on a day-by-day basis, but it was probably more so that Kurohyou was focused on the more prominent figures within the school -- like the pillars. He smirked a bit and nodded. Like a snake in the grass... No one knows it's there until it strikes.
The Benedict went on about the upside of not being important and how he was once of that calibur, then he turned his attention back to Kurohyou. Another speech, more rhetoric and even a bit of self-immolation in the case of calling himself a nutjob. He tossed the pen back to Kurohyou, whom caught it with his right hand, smoothly placing it back inside his coat all in one fell motion.
"Then I suppose that makes us both insane..." he says simply, walking away toward the school. On his way out, he places his left hand upon the smaller boy's (Dimitri) left shoulder as he passes as a sign of good faith.
We shall meet again, Benedict... he thinks with a sly smirk across his face, entering the front doors of the school.
[EXIT KUROHYOU]

Kurohyou had left, giving Dimitri a sigh of good faith. He couldn't have given less of a care if he had tried. That guy was nothing in comparison to The Benedict. He was a unique being in the school, one who wasn't afraid to do what he wanted, no matter the consequences. At least, that's what it felt like. He talked a big game, whether he could back it though had yet to be determined. Judging by the fact people didn't want to fight him on school ground, it seemed that they either feared the pillars too much, or that he was strong enough to speak as he did. But what exactly had triggered a change that made him, "The Benedict"? For him to be the one traitor who had earned a title for his act, it had to have been something major.
"So... What exactly did you do?" Dimitri asked, his voice probably the most bold it would ever get around other people. "What earned you the title Benedict? I know you betrayed, but was it truly so bad as to give you a label such as that?" Dimitri pushed his glasses down his nose, letting his gaze go over the top of the rims. He had 20/60 vision, just bad enough to require glasses, but he had no problems without them most of the time.
"I want to know, because you scare me. Those without fear are the scariest of foes. And you said that you were like me. I want to lose that fear, like you, but even if I did, I know that I'd be somehow different than you. You became the Benedict because your actions warranted it, right? But they were also what you wanted to do, regardless of consequences. You did them without fear, didn't you? It's hard to keep up my charade. Every day, I want to fight what's making me do what I don't want to do, but I can't because I fear. My invisible actions... They are not what I want to do, rather what I am able to do without compromising my status as the unseen."
"What is it, that made you able to do, exactly what you wanted to do?"

"Then I suppose it does...I'm sure I'll see you around." He said to Kurohyou as he left leaving Malikai the Benedict with the other unknown student. The small one who was doing a good job about being worried. Then again maybe his size made him worried about everything.
Malikai had lost that fear long ago even before his growth spurt allowed him to stand 5'10. That was his fathers height and as tall as he ever grew and probably as tall as Malikai would ever grow as well. He used to tell Malikai that the average Greek or Roman soldier stood at only 5'5 or 5'6 which was still taller than most British regulars up until probably close to the 17 or 18 hundreds. The Hero's however stood taller than the average man at about his height. In fact there is speculation that Ajax the giant was probably only around six feet in height. To those people that would have been a giant without question. Which is why when Malikai ended up stuck at 5'5 for a few years he was not bothered by it at all. All he did was visualize himself as a soldier and he lost all fear of the larger more intimidating men. Then again when he learned that his speed could get him around the larger opponents punches and into a distance where they could not hit him, they began to fear him.
The boy spoke again asking Malikai what he had done. Facing the boy he produced a puzzled look in his face that would have told the boy he had no idea what was meant by that. The boy continued to talk explaining that he wanted to know how he had earned himself the title of Benedict, the traitors title. He however was not done and went on to talk about fear and how he wished to be just like Malikai in that respect. He also wanted to know exactly what it was that allowed Malikai to act that way.
Malikai chuckled slightly, covering each question in turn starting with what he did do gain his title. "To be fair to myself and to the situation I must first say that I would have had to have been on the accusers side in the first place to warrant that title. It is no secret that I have never in my one prior year here shown any respect for the hierarchy of students or had any reason to do so. Taj called me that when I stood with the Varronite Alkaiser against him. He was the boy I was throwing insults at."
"You should not fear me for anything I do, nor should you consider those without fear scary foes. A person without fear is an idiot and only stands to be destroyed by their actions. I do have fear but I deal with it differently than others simply because I have rationalized it in such a way that I could do so. I see fear as a challenge to myself and to my ideals, really what is fear but uncertainty? We fear death because we do not know what comes next, we fear trying because we fear failure, we fear others because we fear what they maybe capable of. As you can see fear is just uncertainty in disguise and by realizing this you can easily overcome it. Why should you fear trying if you could succeed and gain from it? Why should you fear death or pain when you could become stronger from it? Why should I fear others if they are human and therefore have limitations? By casting doubt on the uncertainty that becomes the irrational fear it no longer seems so scary. As a matter of fact your mind causes you challenge it and gives you the drive to succeed. It is that realization that allows me to do what I do without worrying so much about what will happen."
Never be afraid to fight when you need to or to hide when you need to because your instincts know better than your mind. What you are is what you are and your strengths are good ones at that, if you can use them to get what you want or need then I suggest you do it. To be able to attack from the shadows and then disappear as easily as you came is a talent beyond most. So is being able to lets say be able to dig up dirt or history on the Pillars and their so called Captain."
