You know the drill.
Crowd for a ring, in front of a dilapidated old building.
Have fun.

OOC: I know, it's going to be a late reply, but I'm doing a million things at once. I'll reply first thing in the morning. I apologize and I just hope I'm not disqualified

OOC: Yeah, crappy post I know, I was kinda rushing this IC: Dante was getting pastries at the café where he had just recently seen Raven again. Now, obviously, he would get pastries from the bakery that Raven had worked at, but unfortunately, it was closed today. Suddenly, right after ordering, he heard his cell phone ring. He picked up the paper bag containing two éclairs, and a small slice of chocolate cake, and with the other hand, he picked his cell phone out of his pocket and flipped it open. Right before he flipped it open however, he noticed the caller ID was from his agent, Hank Matthews. “Hello?” Dante said, taking a small bite out of the éclair he was eating. “Yeah,” Hank said on the other line of the cell phone. He seemed nervous and jittery. Dante chuckled, some things seemed that they would never change. “Wh-what’s so funny? Oh well, anyway, I tried to call you as soon as they gave me the message and told me to contact you!” Dante sighed as he shook his head, his agent was so squirrelly, he swore, he had trouble understanding a word he was saying because he was talking so fast. “Alright, alright,” Dante chuckled, about half done with his éclair. He wasn’t planning to finish everything right now, he would probably save some at home, it’s just he didn’t really know when to stop himself when it came to sweets, especially when those sweets were pastries. “Calm down, I can barely understand you. Who contacted you? And what news are you talking about?” Hank seemed to calm down on the other line. He could hear deep breaths being taken, “Okay, I’m not exactly sure who called me, but what they told me that the next round of the Fighter’s League is starting right now,” Hank gave Dante the address then. “Finally,” Dante smiled, he was starting to get bored. This was just what he needed to get his mind off of things, “Do you have any idea who I’m fighting next?” Dante asked as he finished off his éclair. “Yeah, apparently it’s some punk named Martin…” Hank said, “He lost his last match, so you probably have a chance.” Dante rolled his eyes, “You know, I lost too… you know, Martin. That name seems familiar, but one I haven’t heard in a while. I’ll probably recognize him when I see him. Alright, Hank, thanks for telling me.” He chuckled as he hung up the phone and stuffed it in his pocket. Soon after putting the pastries up in his house and changing, Dante jogged over to the address that Hank told him the fight was going on at, it was an old building, surrounded by spectators, ready to cheer over the blood that was sure to be spilled here. Dante was wearing a tight black t-shirt and tight-ish black sweatpants along with tennis shoes and action gloves. After squeezing through the crowd to meet his opponent, he smirked as he saw Martin and immediately recognized him. It was the guy he’d met in the forest, and then he had the three way fight with him and Bruce. Well, his old friend would be surprised, he’d improved at fighting a lot since they’d last sparred. “Hey, Martin,” Dante smiled as he started jogging in place, “Long time no see. I guess now we’re fighting for reals, huh?” He chuckled as he stopped and then said, “Hey, for old times sake, how about I let you try and attack me first…?” He put one hand in front of him in an open palm formation for defensive purposes, then kept a hand next to him, coiled up and in a fist for offensive purposes, then he started quickly hopping from foot to foot to gain momentum, this would be useful for all occasions.

Martin awoke, staring at his ceiling, at first look you'd probably see a lazy teenager that had little to do, but if you looked closer, you'd notice that he hadn't even glanced at his cigarette pack, nor had he tried to use his lighter, you might have also noticed he was dressed differently than a normal teenager would dress, in a sleeveless gray hoody, the sleeves had been torn, and blue sweat pants, and he was still wearing shoes. And then if you decided to look even closer, you'd see that for once the look of laziness had left his face and he was concentrating. That was something rare.
Martin rose slowly, his feet dangled off the edge of the bed for a moment, then made contact with the floor. A breath of air came up his nostrils, a then he stood completely, his back straightening, his finger clenching and unflinching slowly, and then slowly the lazy smile returned to his face, the normal face of Martin had returned. Quickly he turned toward the door, and slowly opened it, and made his way out of the apartment.
Not long ago he had been contacted, his fight had been set, he was a little disappointed he'd lost to Felix, but that had passed, he had learned from his mistakes, now he was fighting Dante.
'Jesus Christ, they keep sending me old acquaintances.'
He briefly recalled the spar he had had with Dante and Bruce back in the mountains, he smiled briefly then brought himself back to earth.
In no time at all he was in the front of an old building, in the center of a ring of people, awaiting Dante. For once he was on time, and in fact he had arrived before the other person, maybe it would be a good day today.
Soon Dante arrived, Martin grinned over at him as he approached him and spoke. He laughed after he first spoke and then replied.
"Yeah, it looks like it, don't think I'll go easy on you just 'cuz you and I sorta' teamed up on Bruce back then."
When Dante spoke again, Martin pursed his lips.
"Well, I'm more of a defensive fighter, but alright."
Dante had gotten into his stance, Martin breathed in deeply again, and got into his, one fist, one palm, the right one close to him in a fist, only a little bit in front of his chin, the left one a little farther from him, open palmed, they lined up with his head, his toes faced Dante, and his knees bent, his breathing was quiet, soft, and a light smile hung on his face.
Dante was a little ways away from him, he took off, moving toward Dante, a little to the left of him, he got lower suddenly, then, once he got into striking distance he sent up his open palm hand, at the hand that Dante had up for defense, he would try to knock it away and then lash out with a punch from his right hand at Dante's stomach, while bringing back the first hand at the same time to defend against counters.

Dante chuckled as Martin warned him not to expect any mercy because of their previous state of being acquantances, “Wouldn’t dream of it, Martin.” Outside of this ring, they could be the best of friends for all Dante cared, but in here, they were both opponents, which meant Martin had to be defeated.
Soon after that, Martin charged towards him in more of a crouched position, then as he saw that he was slightly heading for the left of Dante, he just slightly averted the direction in which he was facing, which was easy because he could easily manuever thanks to the fact that he was quickly hopping from foot to foot. Then Martin’s palm impacted into Dante’s defensive hand, averting it to Dante’s side, then he saw his opponent’s fist quickly come towards Dante’s stomach.
Dante then slightly mirrored Martin’s move by averting Martin’s right hand by hitting it down by using his right hand, which was currently balled up in a fist. Then, since Martin was then in attacking range, Dante then would push his weight forward on his left leg, then swiftly bring his his right knee up and attempt to smash it into Martin’s stomach. Now, it would be very unlikely if Martin dodged, because he was already in the fixed position, and they were both too close, and even though Martin was bringin his hand back defend himself, it would still be extremely improbable that Martin could actually block. First of all, they were already close, and Dante’s knee was coming in pretty fast, and also, when Martin smacked his open palm into Dante’s left hand, it was already going in an upwards direction, so it wouldn’t just block the knee while it was coming in, it would have to take more time to actually get to his stomach to block, and even if his opponent did block, then it would be very ineffective since his defensive hand wouldn’t be in fixed position, and already in motion, so the action of blocking would be very weak, and it would still hit Martin, though it would have slightly less of an effect than planned.
If Dante’s knee attack had connected, then it would at least have knocked the breath out of Martin, therefore disorienting him. This would give Dante a chance to grab Martin’s shirt and tug Martin towards Dante, soon after letting go of Martin’s shirt. This, along with giving Dante a little forward momentum, would also get Martin even closer to Dante. Dante would then quickly land his right knee onto the ground and push forward and redirect himself so he could be at Martin’s right side, or Dante’s left side, now since Martin would be disoriented, the chance would be very improbably that Martin would be able to dodge, block, or much less counter Dante until now. But now, Martin probably had the chance to collect himself, but by now, it would be too late. Dante would then try to slam his right elbow into Martin’s back, damaging his opponent even further. From there, since his oppnent would be yet again disoriented, then Dante would attempt to make a sweep at Martin without crouching, probably making him fall considering the state he was in.

OOC: Why has no one been posting in these? Dante wins due to Martin's inactivity.
