So, I was reading over the reasons for Raphael's suspension, and I came across a sentence that made me stop and wonder.
"Unrealistic Roleplaying - Relations to Vampirism"
Now, obviously biting in a major artery to kill them is a no-no, but I'm not so sure about the problems with the vampirism idea. Certainly, we have our own fair share of psychos n this board, and a guy who thinks he's a vampire doesn't sound that unrealistic to me. I mean, mindless killing of NPC's would just wind up with that character getting thrown in jail, but the idea behind being so insane that he/she tries to drink people's blood?
I don't really see the problem, there. I mean, with guys like Marcus, Kvist, Trent, they're all legitimate lunatics, in their own ways, of course. I'm aware it wasn't the only reason Raph was suspended, but I'm not so sure that one, in particular, I agree with.

Having canines long enough, and the muscular draw strength, to make a wound that deep in enough of an exscuse to call poor realism to me.
In the end, I've been placed in charge of this tourny, and the only person capable of overiding any decision I make spoke on the matter before me.

Don't get me wrong. I didn't intend for this to come off as asking any decisions to be changed regarding the tourney or Raph's suspension. Nor do I like the idea of biting people's necks like a vampire.
Really, the thing I'm wondering about is limiting someone's psychotic behaviour. Being mentally deranged enough to think you're a vampire, I don't mind. But the actions of biting other characters, including NPC's, is somethingthat I'd imagine doesn't belond here, unless you want your character in jail for the rest of his life.
I'm just thinking that maybe we shouldn't be telling people that their particular insanity isn't allowed, not because it's overdone like the split personality, but because it seems a little too crazy. That's all.

your run of the mill sadistic, vampiric, along those lines psychos are usually not the best RPers at the time (hell my first villian on Xin was one, but he was designed to kill a cliche I loathed at the time)
personally, it's the psychos like Stern that really offer the best plot lines.....you know they're messed up, have the same brutal effect, but that clarity of presence makes them all the more intimidating.
