So, you'll noticed that half the fights have ended before time limit, and one of them you probably know why.
Rapheal was suspended....keep in mind the infractions on his suspension DO NOT include degree of force used. This is not a legal establishment in any sense of the word.... most U.S. do not take kindly to brutal fight between minors and gambling on siad conflicts.
People have been paid of, the force of the matches are not limited.
However, Rapheal was didn't tell Xenarius all the information, saying bite when he should have used "fatal wound to your jugular beyond physical ability".
So yeah he lossed, by one hit KO, for trying to pull that. Feel free to mock his character for this all your please.
In other news, Odin won his fight because his opponent didn't post within 24 hours....I gave a warning to people about it once already, and if your not going to take tournaments seriously (once every 24 hours should be the MINIMUM amount of time you check this place when you make an obligation to so many people), you shouldn't enter to begin with.
Besides this, how does everyone like the changes to the tournments IC, as I notice many people are taking advantage of the "pro-spectator" situation as well as an established combat area.?

Raphael huh... Hehehe.

Pro-spectator? What's that? Or does that mean that people are allowed to spectate? If that's what you mean, then, I don't think so. We were always allowed to view tourney matches. Always. If there were times characters werent allowed to, it was because we were told specifically that we couldn't do so for that tournament.
(Sorry for my inactivity by the way. Somehow I got motivated into lifting up my grades, and somehow ended up being expected to try for Ivy-League schools in the future. Oh, and, yes. I will write that thread-finishing post in my now old beach thread)
By the way. How's your tourney coming along, King? Is it how you expected it to turn out or...?

I think it kicks ass; the spectating makes things way more interesting for character development so I think its good.
And thats not even touching on how cool it is that there aren't as many limits. The Shamino-Maverik chair thing? Badass.

Coming from someone who isn't extremely knowledgeable about how tournaments used to be run, I'm happy. Me likey spectator benefits.
Just a quick question... Eheheh...
May spectators interact with the combatants in the ring? Not just verbally, but by throwing in random props and such as well?

I have to say, I've liked reading some of the spectator posts. Especially Valencia's commentary.
I keep waiting for someone to use the ropes like professional wrestling. The day I see someone attempt a top rope elbow drop will be the day that person instantly gains my moral support to win that match.

You could throw something in.....but then security would permanently escrt you out in not entirely friendly fashions.
Though, I would like to add, I plan on having a bit more time bewteen sign ups and tournaments in the future....so if you, say, wanna beat your greatest rival with a baseball bat before the competition begins, that will carry over.
Also, while spectating was allowed before....it was highly discouraged, and quite frankly was completely inexplained. By giving some basic layout and all that, people seem to be flocking to it, and Shamino even established precedent for private booths that watch through cameras.

I like the new setup. The small ring saves us the annoyance of having an entire building to leave annoying spaces between the fighters, making the fights less stop and start. The crowds and the betting gives it a far more gritty feel which is interesting, and the fact that it's no longer one foot in the story and one foot out, I think it will integrate allot better. I'd like to see someone draw up a floor plan actually.
Oh and Valencia, love the commentaries. Big thumbs up on that one.

Valencia has actually been a big help with the questions she has been asking....some things I didn't think of have been brought up.
I have been finding that I've been having to re-explain a good number of old rules though....apparantly some things I considered to be assumed knowledge can be re-considered by some of the wording I have used. My fault for typing it up last minute.
Hopefully, if tournaments get permanent approval, I'll write up a more clearly defined list of rules.

Sounds good, I'll take my time so I can get more feed back...say, final round-ish?
