"Less flash, more substance... less flash, more substance... less flash, more substance..."
These words played through Victor's head like a broken record. He didn't want to admit it, but Stern had been right. He was too flashy with his techniques. Damn it, sometimes he wondered how his fighting style had gotten so wild. Honestly, his father had taught him martial arts and army hand to hand techniques for his whole life! How could he have gotten like this?! How?!
"Pull yourself together." Victor whispered under his breath. "I need to focus on fixing my technique. How else was he able to keep up with me so easily? He was completely out of my league."
Victor shook his head. Talking to himself now. It was a good sign that he wasn't taking his little revelation well. He needed to focus on what he was doing. This forest was just the place to do it. He was going to train here until he couldn't train anymore and by God he was going to truly improve his style!
Finding a clearing in the deeper regions of the forest, Victor performed a series of stretches, push-ups, and leg raises and then began to train. Selecting a tree, Victor slided towards it and then stepped diagonally to the right while simultaneously giving the tree a roundhouse kick. He slid back, took a breath and drove a front thrust kick into the tree while raising his arms up to cover his head and body. Still staying in position he stepped forward and delivered a palm strike while guarding his face with his hand and his body with his arm. These weren't the kind of crazy set up moves he had previously used. These were simple street techniques that Victor's father had taught him in their daily lessons. Lessons that truly would be used in a confrontation.
"I won't give up." Victor thought. "I won't give up until I can get subtlety down. I'm never going to achieve victory in a fight unless I can stop being crazy in fights!"

His mind wandered as his closed eyes stared into the deep blue skys. Blissful ignorance, allowing him to tune out any minor distractions as he glanced through his own thoughts. He breathed deeply, his back leant against the bark of a particularly large tree, his legs outstretched over one of the largest branches. Sedrix waited.
Thunderings below awoke him from his peacful daydream, and brouth him back to the reality that was the forest. Not another human in sight at first, then his eyes opened slightly, and lazily, he glanced lower, below the branch from which he was sat, to see a figure. Non-doubtably anther student, who appeared to be excersising. It appeared he too was deep in thoughts.
Sedrix could see his motivation, that lust and hunger in his eyes to become stronger. He knew because these were his motives too. He closed his eyes again, not wanting to invade on the boy's private life. He watched the birds cluster away from the surrounding area, as the student trained with much motion. He seemed to be unharmful, at least without further investigation.
The tree suddenly shook, Causing Sedrix to lower his arm and grasp the branch from which he sat. He maintained his balance, and looked below once more. The boy was practising some unspectacular, ruthless kicks on the tree. Again, the tree shook, and again Sedrix's arm tensed. He called out bellow,
"Any more of this, and i shall need a seat belt." Sarcasticly, and humorously. He shifted his body, so he was in more of a sitting down position accross the branch. He hoisted himself off, and landed on the ground with a light thunk. He turned to look at the student.
"Sedrix, and you?" He said, offering his hand.

As Victor shook the student's hand a spark of memory flashed through his head. The student sounded familiar and looked familiar as well. Well, no matter. Perhaps he could help him with his training if he was in the mood.
"Buenos tardes Sedrix. The name's Victor. Nice to meet you." Victor cocked his head to one side and added: "Have we met somewhere before? You look familiar amigo."
Victor turned back to the tree and brought his arm up while turning to the side and delivering an uppercut just short of the tree's bark. No sense damaging his hand. Lord knows the scratch on his cheek from his confrontation with Stern was bad enough. After that he turned around and delivered a spinning back kick to the tree, shaking leaves out of it's branches.
"I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I didn't know you were up there." Victor said as he struck the tree with a hammer fist strike. "At the moment I'm trying to change my fighting style. I got into a match with a really powerful student and I couldn't beat him because my style was too much flash and not enough fire. I'm trying to change that as you can see."
Victor crouched down and delivered a palm strike to the tree and got an idea. He turned to Sedrix and said: "Perhaps you could help me a bit Sedrix. I'm not one who settles for being weak."

"Buenos tardes Sedrix. The name's Victor. Nice to meet you." Victor cocked his head to one side, it appeared Sedrix was somewhat familiar. Looking again, Victor looked a familiar sights of sorts, and Sedrix though he could remember. Before he could query, Victor said: "Have we met somewhere before? You look familiar amigo."
Sedrix scratched the side of his head in awkward thought. He always had a lousy memory for faces. Although, he had a hunch. He knew a guy called Victor back in Varron, they sparred several times in the local dojo. He asked him, calmly, with a finger raised "You didn't come here from Varron did you?"
Sedrix had changed quite a bit since then, in fact, he changed his name. It was no surprise Victor was having trouble. He lowered his arm, and watched as Victor gave a fakey uppercut, then turned into a rather powerful roundhouse kick. His technique was simplistic indeed, bbut nevertheless his power and speed were boarderline 'impressive'. Sedrix folded his arms as he watched.
"I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I didn't know you were up there." Victor spoke as he continued fireing punches at the bark of the tree. "At the moment I'm trying to change my fighting style. I got into a match with a really powerful student and I couldn't beat him because my style was too much flash and not enough fire. I'm trying to change that as you can see." This explained a lot. Even though he had obvious instincts of a good fighter, his change in fighting style meant rookie moves.
"Perhaps i can help you. What you just described is my exact technique. Simplistic, powerful."
Victor turned after a last palm strike to the tree, and said, bending slightly as if in preparation, "Perhaps you could help me a bit Sedrix. I'm not one who settles for being weak." Assuming he meant a sparr, friendly or not, Sedrix spread his legs slightly, and un-folded his arms.
"A sparr? Excellent idea." He said, smirking.

Victor smiled as he suddenly remembered Sedrix. So this was the same Sedrix West from Varron? The one whom he had dueled with at the gym's dojo and fought to a draw? Funny how people ran into each other. Well it was good to meet a familiar face.
"Yes I am from Varron." Victor replied. "I guess your Sedrix, the one I sparred with those few times. It's great to see a familiar face again."
Sedrix said that his style was "simplistic and powerful", and that made Victor's ears perk up. Another fighter who relied on pure combat rather then the flips and acrobatic moves he had tried with Stern. Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
"Oh really? Well then I guess that settles it. Let's see if I can learn something." Victor chuckled.
Sedrix said a spar would be a good idea. That was all he needed to know. Victor stepped away from the tree and faced Sedrix, keeping his stance neutral so that his opponent wouldn't know what he would throw.
Victor hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward with a side thrust kick with his right leg aimed at the midsection. If he missed, he could slide towards his opponent again and strike with a hammer fist to the shoulder with his left hand while guarding with his right arm. It was basic, but it was also the technique a true fighter would use.
"Remember: less flash, more substance." Victor thought as he started towards Sedrix.

"Yes I am from Varron." Victor replied. "I guess your Sedrix, the one I sparred with those few times. It's great to see a familiar face again." So his hunch was correct. Last Sedrix remembered Victor was very quick, and impressive, although his defence was lacking. Not that it matters considering Victor was currently attempting to change his fighting style. Either way, brand new? Sed was feeling confident.
"Oh really? Well then I guess that settles it. Let's see if I can learn something." Victor says with style, as his stance is slightly formed. It seemed a sparr was in order, and had already started. Victor made for him with a few steps. His stance was difficult to read, it was hard to figure out his next move, he seemed in such balance. Although his legs seemed to be moving into a solid stance slowly, Sedrix thought a kick.
Immediately Sedrix raised his massive forearms, and prepared for anything Victor had to give. A nright kick was ehading for his mid-section. He did the simplistic and jumped back, narrowly avoiding it. An inch if that. Sedrix landed with a thud, and quickly returned to his previous stance, his right leg a little more back this time. Before he had time for a counter, Victor approached again, with a a left fist directed at the shoulder.
A tactical place to hit, the shoulder, as it is difficult to pull your arm in such an angle for a block. Sedrix moved his right hand to his left shoulder, palm out, and caught his fist. The momentary pain was worth it, he had a certain dominance over Victor, although his right arm was strong, and defending his mid section. Arm disable? The fight is too young for any serious moves, and it is likely he would fail and leave himself open.
'Balance is key' Sedrix thought, he looked down, Victors legs were unprotected. He smirked and dived low, taking Victors hand with him, he aimed a right sweep kick to his front foot, in attempt to stumble him. He planted his right hand down, so it would be easier to get back up and defend.
A dodge is likely. If so, Sedrix could shift his weight, and lift a kick up to Victors mid-section. It would be weak, little momentum, but it would give Sedrix a chance to return to his feet.

Victor saw Sedrix look down and that was all the trigger he needed. As Sedrix sweapt his leg at him, Victor stepped back while simultaneously swiveling his leg outward and to Sedrix' side so he could step inside of his guard.
A straight kick came up from below and Victor performed a pressing block while rotating his body around and sliding around Sedrix. He was coming up fast, but that was plenty of time.
"He'll rotate around towards me with his guard up. Once he does that I can step into his guard and perform a double palm strike with my hands to his face and chest to break his guard. The length of my arms will keep me out of reach and allow me to block with my arms and hands if he blocks or counters it." Victor thought.
As Sedrix came up, Victor struck out, wondering what the result would be.

'Bugger' Was Sedrix' only thought. As his kick plowed at Victor's upper shin, it was dodged with moderate ease. He had a backup. As he boosted of his free arm, he sent a kick at Victor's mid section. It was blocked, again with moderate ease, no real surprise, his lack of momentum made it a weak kick.
Victor swiveled around him elegantly. In this situation, Sedrix was far open, the only route to take was to get some distance. With this in mind, he got up hastily, and jumped to the side. Victor sent two palm strikes his way, The first aimed at the face. Sedrix arched his back, and leant his head back, avoiding the palm's reach. Though his arched back meant his chest was open.
Victors second strike came from him, and encountered. Although, as Sedrix was jumping back in the same direction as the fist, damage was minimal at best. It stung, but it was not serious in any way, except to his dignity.
'Hit first by a rookie?' He though to himself.
He prepared his guard once more, several feet away from Victor now. He brough his left forearm up, his fist reaching about eye level, his right arm he sent to his side, his fist just above waist level. His legs were spread, left sent backwards. His kicks were his strong point, he intended to use them.
He came at victor, and launched a roundhouse aimed to the mid-section, only about halfway, he sent his leg back down, took a step to Victors side, and sent a right kick to his back. Encoutered? it would probably cause a stumble, giving Sedrix an advantage for a larger combo. Dodged? His fists were still raised, and guard still up.
'Come on...'

Sedrix took him by surprise, but not completely. Victor's instincts told him that a surprise blow was coming and sure enough it did. As Sedrix launched what at first glance seemed like a roundhouse kick, he landed early and rotated behind Victor and launched a kick directly at his back.
"No way I can dodge it." Victor thought. "I can however, at least minimize the damage."
Victor arched his back forward like a bow and took a sliding step forward. The blow struck him right in the center of his back, but because he had stepped forward while arching his back the blow only struck him enough to sting, not flat out blast him. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Victor began to turn towards Sedrix while sliding towards him, using his legs as groundings to keep himself rooted. Sedrix' hands were up in a guard position and he could also strike from this position, but that was good for him. Victor struck out with a spear hand strike at Sedrix's arm joint while bringing up his other arm in a block. If the blow struck the joint, Victor had a chance of damaging his arm. If it didn't strike and Sedrix countered, his blocking arm could snap out in a backfist to the chin or chest area, depending one which area was more vulnerable while his other arm blocked.
"Less flash, more substance... I think I'm getting the hang of this!" Victor thought as he struck out.

Sedrix was quite pleased at the outcome of his first fakie swing, although Victor was quick witted, and managed to avoid the vast majority of the damage. H needed to stay alert, he prepared his guard again.
Disabilities? Sedrix thought it was too early in the game for that, apparently Victor thought differently as a series of spear hands came his way, mainly based around his guard. Even though he was sure his endurance could handle it, a dodge would be to easy to miss. He swayed to the side, bringing his shoulder back with him.
The strike missed, his current position, with his arm quite far back, meant he could build up some decent momentum with his next strike, although seeing Victor's guard, he would need to play it tactically to get a decent hit. Sedrix sent a punch with his free hand to Victors side. If all goes to plan, he would block his, and be left defenceless for Sedrix to swing down his bear-like forearm and get a decent hit. Although, his body language was too readable.
A cleverer move was in order. As his thrown back arm is a large oppertunity for a strike thats exactly what he wouldn't use, it is too obvious. Instead he would go for another fakie. He would punch with his free arm still, and swing down his bear-like forearm, only, he would not hit him with the second strike, instead head for a kick to the midsection. Distractions are useful in fights. Even though Victor was bright, this was pretty hard to read.

As Victor continued his knife hand assault, a punch snapped out at him. Victor caught the fist with a left arm circular block when Sedrix' forearm careened down towards him. Victor instinctively brought his same hand up to catch the blow when Sedrix kicked out his leg. Victor dropped his left hand again to catch the blow, but the kick struck him on the arm with powerful force and he gave a small grunt of pain. Sedrix was every bit as strong as he remembered from his days at Varron.
Victor wasn't going to back off though. Not when he was begining to understand what Stern had told him back in the gym. Victor's mind raced through the various techniques, forms, and movements his father had taught him and it came to him. Victor would try something completely new.
"That was a strong blow, but now he's right where I want him. Kicks are good to keep the opponent at a distance, but they leave the body wide open." Victor thought as he suddenly darted forward with his elbow out.
It was simple. He would go for a direct takedown by slamming his elbow into Sedrix' chest, then when he stumbled or fell he would slip behind him and grapple with him by wrapping his legs around Sedrix' legs so he couldn't move, then use his left arm to manipulate Sedrix' arm joint behind his back so he couldn't get up while using his right arm to press down on the back of his neck. It was an old army technique, but it was effective on the battlefield. If it worked, he could force Sedrix into submission.
"If he swerves to the side or steps back I'll slide forward again and knee strike him in the stomach. As long as one of those two attacks connect, I should be able to take him." Victor thought.

Damn, he's quick. He blocked all three blows from Sedrix. He was deeply annoyed, and disapointed, but he could not distract himself from the fight. He kept his guard up, taking his knee back to the ground, and his arms back in front of his body. The knee seemed to do minimal, but some damage as Victor let out a short grunt of pain. He had to stay focused.
As he took a few steps back, Victor came again, with a sharp elbow aimed at Sedrix's mid section. He quickly crossed both forearms over his cheast, taking the blow, but with minimal damage to more vulnerable parts of his body. He placed his leg further back, to avoid an inevitable stumble, although, the move had power. He did stumble slightly, and Sedrix had to take a step back, when Victor dived at him.
It was an attempted grapple, an ex-military, simplistic move that made Sedrix sigh. As his first leg took it's swing, Sedrix simply jumped over to the side. Now Victor was vulnerable, it would be difficult to come back to his stance quick enough to block. Sedrix sent a roundhouse kick at him, aimed for his upper cheast.
Blocking would be difficult, but dodging would not, if he did, Sedrix would use his momentum, swing his leg round, and use it too send another kick Victor's way, the first would be far more reliable, but the second far more powerful. He put most of his strength into this next attack, ready to blast him away. Pure power.

As Victor pursued Sedrix, the larger boy dodged and sent a roundhouse kick at him, aiming for his chest. Victor had to admit it took him by surprise, but once again he could minimize the damage. As the kick came at him, Victor turned and sidestepped towards him at the same time. The kick sliced across his chest, tearing open his shirt. But now that he was inside Sedrix' guard again, he could strike more easily.
Another kick sliced through the air and Victor turned his body forward again so only the leg struck him and the foot came behind his back where it did minimal damage. It had plenty of power and Victor had a good feeling that it would have done high damage had it connected properly.
"Not bad. Now let's see how you handle this." Victor thought.
As a third roundhouse kick came at him with much more power, Victor stepped slightly to the side while bringing his right arm out in a side block to catch the leg. Once he caught Sedrix' leg he would quickly do a hammerfist strike with his same hand to the knee while doing a spear hand strike with his left hand to Sedrix' right arm joint to inflict heavy pain on it. The two attacks in one would be difficult to counter or block indeed.

ooc: Sorry for mega-late reply man. ^-^
As Sedrix kept pounding roundhouse kicks at Victor, one collided. Although it was from a non-critical point, it's sheer power and momentum allowed a decent amount of power o be dealt. Although no where near enough to take down someone as strong as Victor. He had fought him before, they usually lasted a while. The rest did no damage, but to his clothing.
As Sedrix brouth up his leg once more, Victor dodged effortlessly, it appeared he was not shaken from his stance. He brought out his right arm and caught Sedrix's leg, Immediately giving a dominant advantage. He needed to get loose again. Before he could even attempt, Victor prepared a strike. Sedrix moved in, bending his knee. He hammerfist connected, but his tense knee absorbed most of the damage. Sedrix flinced.
His free fist came to Sedrix's arm, he quickly threw out his grappled leg into Victors side, to both free himself from Victors grip, and make some space between him and the attack. It connected roughly, and slid past his joint, rather than direct damage. It threw his shoulder back as both of his feet returned to the ground, he stumbled back two steps, raising his guard hastily.
His knee was weakened, and shaken. Where it was alright for movement, kicking would become a difficulty. Kicks were his speciality, and it had now been halfed. He moved that leg back, and rearranged his stance accordingly. At least it was his weaker side that took the damage. There was about a dozen feet between he and Victor. He would have to plan his next move carefully.
He dashed forward, it was always good to throw the first punch. He was going for a triple, he sent a right fist uppercut to Victors stomach, as it came, a left fist to his cheek would come next, and end with a sweep kick too the back of his knees. This combo is good as it attacks all sections of the body, and each move is hard to predict. Although it should connect some, it is lacking in power because of it's close range style.

OOC: Don't worry about it! ;D
The hammerfist connected with Sedrix' knee, but the spear hand strike didn't work out so well as Sedrix managed to pull back from him. It hadn't actually hurt him, but it had weakened his knee considerably. Now he wouldn't be able to kick as well. That leveled the playing field considerably.
Sedrix charged and Victor already had a plan going. It was practically suicide against a person with such physical strength, but it would work. He'd have to take some damage to get close enough to him to pull it off.
Sedrix launched an uppercut at him and Victor leaned to the right to dodge it. Then the blow to the cheek came and Victor took it full throttle, a blast of pain going off in his head. It had hurt tremendously and did heavy damage, but now that he was close enough Sedrix was in his trap as he prepared a sweep kick.
As Sedrix began to crouch and turn, Victor's left hand snapped out towards his wrist, which was coming right towards him with the spinning movement. It was another army technique. Victor would step to his left and twist his opponent's wrist upwards which would force him to bend over from the pressure. He would then snap kick him in the stomach as he bent over and then hammerfist him on the back. Even if the technique missed, Victor would lock his legs in a crouching stance to avoid getting knocked over by the sweep, then snatch at him again when he came back up. It was the perfect setup.

Sedrix fist connected into Victors jaw in a feeling of pain, triumph, and pride. He had the first full contact hit. But this could not distract him from the rest of his combo. As he bent down, and span for his sweep kick, Victor responded with offence. His left fist came to Sedrix wrist. He was begining to go back to flashy. He needed to simplify more, he was at good position to get a good shot to the face, or the gut, but he goes for the wrist?
He grabbed Sedrix's wrist firmly, Sedrix smirked. He had power advantage over Victor, this was foolish. Speed was Sedrix's weak point, and a strong point of Victor, don't oppose an opponents strength. He said aloud to Victor, "Foolish move." As he got up from his crouch, and swung his beastly forearm to the right. Either Victor would be dragged with him, or he would have to let go.
Victor sent a kick to Sedrix's midsection, more simplicity, and the speed was good. Sedrix swung his free arm to his kidney, with moments to spare, there was a sharp pain as his own forearm jammed into his kidney area. It was not completely effective, but it was not weak. Sedrix took a couple of steps back from Victor, breathing slightly more heavily.
'Thats it.' Sedrix thought as he smirked through shadowed eyes at Victor. He darted up, and attempted another speciality of his, fakies. He leapt at great speeds towards Victor, throwing out a right knee, aimed for his head. This move had great power behind it, and very little blocking oppertunity, as a knee is hard too grab or deflect. A dodge is the best option. In this probable eventuality, Sedrix would throw out his leg, in further displays of power.
'Simplicity, and raw power, my fighting.'

It had been a stupid move from the start. Victor did not like stupidity in the least, especially on his part.
Sedrix slid out of his grip like oil, but he took the front kick. It didn't connect as solidly as he had hoped it would, but it struck him enough to do damage by the way of Sedrix' own arm hitting him. Oh well.
"Not bad. Not bad at all." Victor panted. "That was foolish of me."
Sedrix backed away, then charged forward and sprang into the air with his knee out. Victor felt insulted. A flying knee strike? Please, that was far too flashy.
Victor simply leaned to one side and Sedrix launched his leg out at him again. If he wasn't going to hold back with moves like that, then he was in for a very grim-and painful-surprise.
"You're done Sedrix." Victor thought. As the leg came at him, Victor slid under him and took the opportunity given. As Sedrix landed, he slid forward like a snake into Sedrix' guard and performed a close range double palm strike. What made this so dangerous was that his lower palm was aimed for the solar plexus, and the higher one was aimed for Sedrix' throat. You could build up many parts of your body, but even the greatest fighters could not withstand a strike to the throat. Combine that with Victor's quick movements and powerful strikes and you got something very dangerous.

"oh, bugger." Sedrix lips pursed as both his kicks were dodged with moderate ease. A disapointment, but an ill thought move. Victor phased underneath him gracefully, and all very aesthetically, but there was no attack. Sedrix's feet tacked te ground as Victor sent out two palms. They werevery tactically placed, and had a good deal of power behind them, there was too little time to dodge, and blocking was just as unlikely given how close Victor was.
'Minimalise damage. Minimalise damage.' The first rule Sedrix thought. As his heels touched the ground, he elevated himself once more. Both palm strikes encountered, but instead of his throat, they hit his upper chest. He let out his breath, so his muscles moved with the impact, and he was sent back through the air a good few metres. He stopped on the ground, screeching to a halt upturning a large stroke of ground. His arms crossed over his chest.
Damage minimalisation was incredibly successful in the way he was still standing, but this did not stop the throb he had, and the wind he had knocked out of him. He took a few deep breaths, and stood up straight again. He still smirked as his arms moved from his chest, and back into his boxing stance. It would take a lot more than that to take down Sedrix.
"A good hit, a very good hit." Sedrix said aloud, with little ill effects but from deep breathing, and sweat. He opened his mouth, in preparation to say something, but no words were passed, as he looked down, and his jacket was torn. He removed it quickly, he did not really care for clothing anyway, so did not really mind. He took one mroe clensing breath, then his breathing slowed down. His endurance and stamina was extreme, and he could do this for a lot longer.
"Right Right Right." He said in a very minorly humerous tone. Shortly after, he paced forward briskly, and cautiously. Bouncing on the balls of his feet, and fists raised to his upper chest and face. He had changed his style from Judo too Kickboxing. The differences is that his defnece is lowered, but he will become more offensive, and brutal. He came within a metre, and attacked.
A swift left jab, aimed at his head. Very easily dodgeable and blockable, whichever floats your boat. He drew back quickly, keeping his guard up. He sent a few jabs from each hand, one after another, making sure too always leave one hand back for defence. This was really too get Victor on his toes, and weary, so he could start an effective combo. He circled Victor as he did, sizing him up.
Time to make a strike. He took a left jab, then right hook widely. In this instance, one of the two strikes would have too be blocked. Two dodges were possible, but unlikely as the right hook coul;d stretch far, and a dodge would have to be quite large. As one of which would be blocked, he would use his free hand for some sharp blows to the gut and kidney, in attempt to weaken. Swift, but weaker then usual hits.
Still dodgeable. In this instance, he could still step into the guard, and try a simplistic punch combo. Two gut shots and an uppercut. With little hope of success in this eventuality, but his guard will still be firm, and defenceable.

Sedrix switched stances and Victor smiled in his mind. So he was going for offense now? Interesting. He wondered what was going to happen.
Sedrix threw a few jabs and Victor did not even bother to block. He simply moved his head and body to the side slightly as they came. He could tell Sedrix wasn't really fighting yet. He was just sizing him up like a wolf sizing up a deer.
Sedrix circled around him and Victor thought: "Circling... I remember doing the same thing against Stern in the gym. That was a very big mistake on my part. Well now it's time to see if I've learned from my mistakes at fighting like that."
Sedrix began to fight for real and threw a jab and a hook. Under regular circumstances, Victor would have blocked and countered, but Sedrix had made a foolish move in this aggressive style and now he would pay.
Victor stepped back with his hands in the pockets of his trench coat for balance while leaning his head back to avoid the jab, then twisted his body to the side to avoid the hook punch. Already Sedrix began to step into his guard and had his hands ready. Perfect.
Victor stepped forward at the same time and gently swept Sedrix' left hand out of the way with his right hand. At the same time he brought his left knee up towards Sedrix' groin while snapping out his right arm in an elbow strike aimed at the center of his face. The beauty of these simultaneous strikes was that not only were they subtle, but they also left very little room left to block or dodge now that he was inside of Sedrix' guard again. Even if they missed their intended targets, the knee would come up towards his stomach as a follow up and the elbow would come towards his chest. And even if nothing worked, he could block with his left arm while retreating in a crane stance.

Sedrix stepped into Victors guard as planned, after the predictably dodged jabs. Victor was being clever now, countering with speed before he had the chance to start his triple fist. However, Sedrix had been alert, and kept his guard firm. Two strikes came his way, both at joints so difficult too block, and at different parts of the body. But they were linear, and only headed forward, with no chance to side to side or using range.
Sedrix bounded of the balls of his feet, to Victors left. This meant Victor could throw a punch, but not a kick, at least with out a switch. Victor lunged forward with his moves, his balance was sturdy. It was time to get aggressive now. He stepped in slightly, and pushed away his knee to the side, leaving his balance difficult, and position more open. He lunged forward, throwing fists rapidly and powerfully. Left jab, then right hook, then left punch aimed at the stomach, then right jab to the face. As he did, he stepped forward at Victor, so he would move back.
Sedrix was in dominant positioning. If any of his fists were successful, he would lead the combo into a sharp right roundhouse kick, ending his attack. If miraculously all his attacks were dodged, or blocked. He was still in position to take a few steps back, and get his guard ready. He was in minimal danger with this combo.
