The urging sway of the water seemed to lure her. The thrust of its power hitting nearby rocks spraying the grounds with its gentle drops as if to comfort a lover after its storm. The moons reflection off of the waves memorized those who would stare into it for hours. Victoria was no different. She sat in the sand. Her torn jeans and hoodie protecting her from the slight winds that pushed into her. Her overgrown hair whipping into the air and around her face. She sat silently.
The thought of her parents anniversary of their death rose in her mind. She sometimes found herself wondering what life would have been like. The ‘what if’s” That tormented her soul with ideas that she could have been a normal child. Her parents faces had seemed to become blurry images in her mind. The years taking off a little bit at a time until one day they would be forgotten.
Her hand pressed just above her breast. Her tattoo locking in her painful memories. Placed on her body to make her remember all those she had and lost before she could hold them. She seemed rather jealous of those normal families. Having boring days with each other. Having meals together, laughing and having a good old time, together. She had no one. No blood but her own.
She wanted a family. She wanted someone to call her own but in the end things never really turned out to be so easy. Pushing Tak and the Banger Boys tore her heart out. She could even see Taks face when she let him know that she didn’t need him any longer. His pleas hitting her ears, pounding in her head as he would make things right, that he would do anything she wanted. But nothing could put back together what was done.
She used to love someone, that love turning more into resentment with each passing days that he never waited for her. He couldn’t wait for her. And in that she hated him for it but could not blame him for it. He may have loved her but she was too hard to love.
Sighing with that thought, she pushed the thought of Kazuki, or rather Taiku now, out of her head. She knew he had moved on and with that knew he would want nothing to do with her. “Just friends” Would be how he would put it if she would ever lay eyes on him again. Even now she could be content with that.
Leaning back her hands dug into the sand, little shells scraping at her skin, throwing her head back with her eyes closed towards the sky. There was so much around her but she felt so alone, so isolated in the big city around her. It wasn’t New York, it wasn’t where she grew up. It was strange and unnatural.
Opening her eyes she could see the clear sky, the stars flickering in the mass. Saying “Look at me, Im beautiful” Stars that on the opposite side of the country looked slightly different. But the moon, the good old moon would stay the same for Victoria. The comfort that came with its silver rays reaching the earth to hug her and hold her alone. The moon that was no stranger to Victoria that had spent restless nights watching it. Standing, she brushed the sand from her pants, rubbed her hands together and took in a deep breath of the salt water air. Letting it out she smacked her lips together and decided to jog. She felt like letting sweat wash away her thoughts, to let the pain of her legs erase the pain in her heart. She would let loose and run until her lungs could burst.
Setting off, the sand seemed to sink her in with each pounding step, it make her feel sluggish and put more effort into the run. Setting a good pace she took even breaths, letting her legs do the running along side of the wondering waters.

Felix found himself walking close to the water's edge, cigarette in hand. It had been a rough day at the restaruant, and it was going to be a whole lot worse come the later morning hours. A private party had arrived, last minute to boot, and the owners, being the nice older couple that they were decided to allow it to happen, and Felix being the manager was supposed to lock up. So he was stuck there, running a twenty person party plus others if they were tempted to grab food this late with just two chefs and a waiter, a hostess, plus himself.
"I should have said no, bah." He only accepted because he had the next day off, and would be able to sleep in as late as he wanted, though it wouldn't be long. He did need the over long break that he was taking, the restaraunt up the way and across the street still, but he needed it. He'd go stir crazy if he had to walk by and listen to the racket that was happening. He was watching the waves come in and rush out, wearing his attire for work. Dress slacks with a matching black button down, sleeves rolled up past his elbows. His tie for the evening was a dark purple. He had taken his shoes and socks off near the back door of the place and quickly found himself here, taking a long drag and watching the waves.
He finished his first cigarette quickly enough, flicking the last bits into the water. 'Not exactly sanitary, I should remember not to do that.' After mentally scolding himself he reached for his pack and light, quickly pulling one out and lighting up again. He remembered the look Raven had given him when she first found out, nearly killed him right there. He could laugh about it now, and she wouldn't be please that he'd picked it up again, though he hadn't spoke to her in forever.
He sighed and his eyes followed the horizon, all the way down to the end of the beach. There he caught movement, too far off even for him to spot details, but it was a runner, that much he could see. He peered at his smoke, averaging that he had about ten minutes left out here before he had to get back. 'We'll see if whoever it is makes down this far, maybe I might get some conversation.' Though he thought about it, he knew the chances were slim to none. Even though he was dressed nice people still strayed away from him. If it was a pleasent turnout, he'd have another smoke and chat a while. He certainly didn't want to head back to the restaraunt, not yet anyways.

Her breathing cried out just as loud as the waves that moved closer and closer to her boots. Her panting, making her chest fall and rise over and over in a quickened pace. Stopping putting her hands on her knees she bent over taking in a few deep breaths. The sand sluggished her running which tired her out quickly. She knew she wasn't out of shape. Snapping her head up she brushed strands from her face as the cool air followed the beads of sweat that stranded down her cheeks.
Looking slightly ahead of her she seen a body. The night pretty much covered much of the persons features. But the body language Victoria guessed a man that was overly dressed to be at the beach. There was a small light that illuminated a hand that followed to the face. No doubt a male. Victoria decided to just walk, her curiosity leading her that he no doubt had one of those familiar faces.
Reaching him she looked around. No doubt also lost knowing she probably wouldn't find where she came from. It would probably be the only way to get directions at this time of night.
"Hi."
She said in a soft voice, more hushed as she wiped the sweat on her forehead with the long sleeve of her hoodie.
"You wouldn't by chance know in which direction I should go to find the school would you."
The school seemed the logical place to ask since it was close to the small little cafe that she stayed and worked at.

By his thin luck or merely coincidence, the runner had made it to him before he was halfway done with his second smoke of the evening. He was amazed at that, getting a closer look at who was doing the running. Though not appearing out of shape, this girl, as it were, was wearing boots and a heavy hoodie by the looks of it. 'Obviously not your everyday jogger. She's got some serious power behind that frame.'
He shook his thoughts aside as she spoke up, a little quiet at first, and was crestfallen when she asked where the school was. 'Looks like no conversation, unless I put my two cents in.' He sighed quietly, the roar of the waves covering up most soft noises.
"Hi to you too. Didn't expect to catch anyone else out here this time of night." He shifted casually and took a small drag on his smoke. "If your talking about Hircine, well, your a pretty good way out," looking at her and he could see small beads of sweat here and there, "It's about seven miles east of here, all told. Not too far, but a decent drive with traffic the way it is." He took another drag and looked back out at the waves for a moment, coming to a conclusion that no matter what, he was staying out for a third smoke. To hell with his duties at the restaraunt, they'd be fine without him.
Turning back to his mystery guest, he took another look at her. His eyes working a little better than when he first made his way out, he could make out her general appearance and features. 'Looks familiar, but then again, I didn't recognize anyone when I got here. Might as well just give her proper directions.'
He turned slightly and looked at the cityscape behind them, "If you're looking to run there tonight, it's two streets down. Once there, follow that road south until it hits the school. I know, sounds like it's wrong, but in reality, the road curves and heads east." He used his left arm and held it out in the general direction, though he doubted that it would do any good, and brought it down quickly to his side.
With that done he turned back to the coast and watched the waves come in and head out again, though he was feeling edgy. "If I may ask, why are you out here so late? Jogging, at that? You crazy or something?" He asked before she had a chance to say anything, or even just to leave on the spot, and turned his attention back to her. He hoped he wasn't too forward with his questions.

Sucking in what breath she could she seemed to gather herself. The tight feeling in her calves seemed to be calming as well as she could feel the sweat cool her face. Her sweat soaked hoodie felt like it was weighing her down.
His voice seemed rather smooth as he would tell her which way towards the school. That many miles seemed to astonish her that she was way out of where she was supposed to be. It wasn't at all surprising to her thou. The water was distracting and it tended to look the same, it was no wonder she lost track of how far she had actually ran.
Deciding that the hoodie needed to go she lifted it over her head bending over slighting pulling it off of her body. Adjusting her tank top in the appropriate places she tied it around her waist as she kept a mental note of his directions and looked up just in time in the direction of where his hand was pointed.
Sweeping her own hand through her hair, the sweat let it slick back away from her eyes. His second question had her more amused when he put the word crazy in it.
"Now when you say crazy. I just might be so. But though as I am as sain as I was before I started I can only say that it was spur of the moment."
She seemed to smirk slightly.
"I could very well ask you the same thing. I would think it would be hard to get sand out of those nice shoes of yours. Don't you think your a little over dressed for the beach?"
She tucked her thumbs into the tied hoodie as she let her eyes scan over the beach and the water. Was it really that late. Last she knew it was no more past 8 but then again she had sat down aways before she had the urge to sprint.

ooc: Sorry, crap post.
ic: Felix finished his second smoke as she commented on how over dressed he was for the beach. 'Smart one she is. Though she didn't complain about the crazy comment.' He smiled as he bent down to put out the last fading embers and he slipped the last of the smoke into his pocket. He didn't want to throw another one into the water.
"Over dressed for the beach, nah," he said with the same smile in his voice. "I'm the general manager for a relatively small restaraunt about a half a block back there." He flicked his thumb over his shoulder in the general direction. "It's been a long night and it's only getting longer. So I came out here on my last break for the night." He started to go for his pack before diverting off and rubbing his arm instead. He didn't want another smoke, the two he had would give him away to the rest of his co-workers. While it wasn't taboo, it was frowned upon because the kitchen was rather small, and all smells travelled incredibly fast to all corners.
He was looking at her now, focusing his attention to her. He couldn't help but feel like he recognized her from somewhere. It was a fleeting moment, and he tried to place anything to the person who stood before him. He threw his thoughts away and went back to her previous statement, "So what do you want to find the school for anyways? The place is kind of going to hell." He couldn't tell exactly how old she was, but he could tell that she'd fit in with some of the older looking seniors. He hoped she wasn't a student. With the way things were going, it would only be a matter of time before the walls would collapse and some type of enforcement would step in. 'It won't be soon enough though.'

Letting the water lap at his stomach, Corey enjoyed the freezing cold temperatures of the ocean. He had been sitting around a small rock wall, where to one side it was open ocean, the other, a small beach. He'd left his cigs on top of the rock just above his head, and reaching up grabbed one while trying to light his lighter. It wasn't that it was wet, but almost out of fuel. Finally lighting his smoke, he took a long drag and blew a large smoke ring into the air, watching in float away.
He leaned back, looking up at the stars in all there glory. He wished he could be one of them, Shining brightly upon the known universe billions of miles away. Instead he was stuck here, with no job, and a school that literally kicked his ass.
To put it in plain terms, Corey was already thinking about quiting. It often crossed his mind, and the only solace and peace he found was in his long nightly walks and fresh ocean baths. He sighed, wondering how it had come to this, before taking another long drag off of his cigarette.
He paused, listening closely as voices carried over the water. Now what were people doing out this late? on a beach no less. he looked up at the smoke clearly traveling away from his niche, and cursed himself for not being a little more cautious. He thought that with it being so late, people wouldn't bother coming out to the beach. He hoped maybe that they were wrapped up in they're conversation, and wouldn't see the smoke, giving him time to leave.
Wait, why should he leave? He had as much right to be here as they did. If they noticed, so what? he'd stay. But a part of them hoped they didn't, he wanted to listen in a bit more, and maybe understand why two strangers were so wrapped up in a conversation so late at night. Leaning against the rock, he peeked around the stone. If they saw him he lost nothing, if they missed the smoke, he'd gain information. It might be useless, but you never knew. it might come in handy some day.

His curiosity about wanting to know why she was interested in the school made her want to give herself a swift kick in the rear. But she knew how to cover her bases and the fact that she really didn’t know any other way to get to the small little restaurant that she herself worked at.
“Being new in town and bad with directions. The school was the nearest thing to the place I’m staying at. I know some places but street names are kind of hard to remember after only being here a short time.”
By now the guy in front of her, she had remembered. As the moon light would hit his face Victoria would mentally go through the files from Varron High. She had a knack for faces she thought to herself. He hadn’t changed too much from the picture she had in her files ‘Felix, Felix Daily, That’s it, that’s where I have seen him before.’ She thought to herself. It was going on two years that had last seen the files. She was surely going rusty on her memory. From his reaction towards her and that fact that they personally never had a run in it would be easy for him not to remember who she was. She wasn’t a master of disguise but it has been a long time.
“Im also a couple blocks from an old church and a small corner store. But if you ask me names I would surely not remember.”
She laughed lightly as she put her hand on the back of her head. Her hand ruffling her dark hair letting the cool air hit the back of her neck.

OOC:(( i had planned to make somthing of this but i found i may not be on here for a while and i didnt want anyone to wait on decision my character might make. so ill be leaving after this post))
IC: Corey listened, hardly interested in what the girl was saying. He turned back around and pressed his back against the rock. Man, and here he thought hed found somthing worthwhile.
Shaking his head sadly, Corey smoked another cigerette before turning and climbing back up the rock face, nearly thirty feet above him. he jumped over onto the soft grass, and began walking towards his apartment in the schools bivouack. 'man, what a waste of a perfectly good night', he thought to himself.

He laughed a bit with her and shook his head softly. "Yea, not being good with directions or names, not to mention being new to an area really sucks." He knew it from his own experience when he moved down here. He had no family left, and he didn't expect to run into anyone he knew. Just because some of the Varron transfers came down here didn't mean they all did.
"I remember when I first got here. Took me three weeks just to get things back on track and then another week just to find some of my old friends. And that wasn't a good thing, either." He sighed after that comment, knowing he might have spoken too much. To what affect though, he had no idea.
He looked back out over the ocean and couldn't help but have a feeling of deja vu. 'She seems so familiar, it's kind of crazy in a way.' He still couldn't put any name to her face, and doubted for a moment that he even recognized her. He decided to keep talking, maybe something would spark his rather dull memory. "You know it's a good thing that you didn't name off any corner stores and such, there are just too many. Even if it was near the school."
It wasn't a lie either, he had never had to leave campus with the dorms being not a block away from class, or the fact that when he wanted to get away, it was at top speed and he barely looked at anything except the road in front of him.
He swallowed hard, and his fingers itched for another smoke. He decided to come forward, still not being able to remember. "I guess were both crazy." It was a short comment, meant to be taken in any way, "My names Felix. Can't believe I didn't introduce myself sooner." It was his explanation for the crazy comment as he extended his right hand.

Victoria almost thought she was going to get away scott free without telling him her name. Course she could always lie to him. Go by her middle name instead of her first. He was the first Varron student she had come up upon. There was no telling how he would take it if he knew.
What could happen. People could find out, they could throw her out of town. Her seceret of being here would be out and she wouldnt be able to check up on past students like she would have liked. But in the end she would guage that it would do little harm and if it happen to blow up in her face. She could always go back to New York.
"Thats quite alright, Victoria."
With that she extended her own hand and shook it firmly. She gave him a quizaling look to see if the name had sparked any memory placed on the back burner.
"I'm sure you have alot to do Felix" when she said his name she did a sort of second guess pause to represent that she didn't know his name before now. But truthfully she knew his background. "With your work and such. Don't let me hold you up."
She finished off with a smile.

As he shook her hand his mind started to race, with a name he might finally plant a face and a memory to who she was. 'The only Victoria that I knew was from Varron. Not to mention that I never even saw her face, apart from brief fleeting moments at tournies and what not. And even then I have no clear picture. But if this is that same Victoria..' He shook it off though, he would need to have a couple of minutes to put all the pieces into place. And it wasn't going to be happening standing out here.
"Well its nice to meet you." She had reminded him of why he was out here in the first place, even though it wasn't needed. He'd have to head back in soon enough and now was a good a time as any, seeing as how she was gracefully letting him leave.
He craned his neck and looked in the general direction of the restaraunt. "Good call, I guess I have been out here slightly longer than I should have." He turned back with a smile. "Good luck with finding the school or wherever it is that you need to get too. If you get lost, just retrace your steps I suppose. That would be the best option." He looked down at his shoes and sighed a little, then proceeded to give her one last smile and turn around.
He headed back up the beach and away from the comfortable sounds of the ocean. He shuddered just thinking about going back to work, and the party of surfers that would be there, awaiting him. He didn't even like surfing, and yet one mention of the beach and they want to talk nonstop. He sighed and went back to thinking about Varron. 'It's just that likely, isn't it. Taiku is here. But there was that blow up. Though all my information is second and even third handed.' He rounded the street corner and put all thoughts out of mind. He'd get no more peace and quiet.

She kinda felt sorry that he had to go back to work. From his reaction towards it, he had not had a good day. Watching him walk away from the beach she felt a pang of relieve seem to wash over her as if the ocean water had done it itself. If he had made the connection he clearly didn’t say anything or react.
Good chances where that maybe he didn’t. Soothing her mind, she started following the path towards the street. Felix was one name on a list of hundreds of students she had abandoned. At least so far, he seemed to be doing well.
Walking past the restaurant he had pointed out to be his work she stopped. Looking at the building she raised her hand and seemed to do a slight solute of goodbye.
“Felix, I hope things go well with you. Im sorry for what happened at Varron.”
And with that she made her way towards the restaurant. To go home and rest after quite a night at the beach.
