(As I walked through the school hallways I kept my head up to keep myself on gaurd. It seemed that everyone at hircine high thought I was a varronite. For some reason I could not understand why, it angered me.
As I continued to watch people intently waiting for someone bold enough to hit me or start a fight with me, I heard the bell for my first class ring. Looking down at my schedule I had English first. Now knowing exactly where the english room was i found myself wandering through the halls late until I found the classroom.
Opening the door quietly I walked up to the teacher who was instructing the lesson.)
"i'm sorry for being late sir, it's my first day and I didn't know where the classroom was."
(Walking to the back of the room I put my binder down on the first empty desk I could see. Hearing a group of kids who were sitting behind me, whispering about another varronite being in their class got me shaking my head. Putting my head down on my desk i sighed)
"This is going to be one hell of a long year"
(I muttered to myself as I kept my head down on the desk.)

Raven was late. And by late, I mean LATE. She ran through the halls her track muscles straining as she beat around the corner. Her messenger bag strap had been busted when she was walking along and someone nicely decided to cut it for her. Now she had a broken bag and had to save up for a new one not to mention that she had to wait until she had enough to get one. And she had to carry the old bag around like a dead weight and it had been her favorite bag but there was nothing she could do about it now.
She got to the english room and stopped. She wasn't out of breath thank God she was an active track team member and ran more than any of them could say. But she opened the door and bowed her head shyly and blushed her soft pale skin over come with the pink color as she handed her tardy pass to the teacher who grumbled something about late idiots that ought not to be in the educational settings of Hircine if they couldn't even make it to class on time.
"Sorry.. very sorry." she said in her thick Russian accent.
She bit her lower lip as he basically thrust her paper back at her and she took it shyly with slightly shaking hands and made her way to sit next to some boy. She had dark black hair and was wearing a black skirt and a soft blue sweater that matched her eyes. Her pale skin was like silk if you touched it unless she was blushing like now as she took her seat and sighed. This school hated her. She pulled out her english book and turned to the page the board said and looked over at her neighbor the boy. She blushed deeply and then turned quickly to finding a pencil in her now busted bag.

(As I kept my head down, I closed my eyes and breathed deeply. While having my eyes closed i started to think of all the easy going happy times I had back at the dojo. Suddenly my thoughts were interupted when i heard the door to the classroom open again then close.
Keeping my head down and keeping my eyes closed I decided to ignore whoever had come into the classroom even later then I. Hearing the person Sit down beside me I continued to keep my head down. Then suddenly something caught my attention.
Smelling the perfume that was coming from the person beside me I raised my head from the desk and looked over. When i looked over i could see a beautiful young girl sitting there blushing when she looked over at me. Smiling to her I sat up fully once again. She seemed very shy from how she was blushing.)
"hey hows it going? are you from hircine?"
(I whispered the question to her so the teacher wouldn't hear us and then start yelling at us like all teachers did)

Raven was doodling on her paper. She tended to read the chapters at home when she could concentrate on it instead of worrying about decifering the weird english. It seemed that every person in America had a different ways of using their english that she sometimes didn't understand at all. But when suddenly someone whispered to her she looked up shyly tucking her black hair behind her pale pierced ears she blushed softly realizing it was the boy that she had blushed at a moment ago.
"I..It's going okay." she said softly hoping that was the right answer to his question. And then he asked THE question and she immediatly knew he must be one of the native members of the school. Which meant by answering this question she was either going to be snubbed.. again. Or she was going to have worse done to her than her bag being busted.
"Ummm.. no. I.. just moved here." she said softly as she looked at him and bit her lower lip. She too speaking in a whisper the teacher already hated her she didn't need to make it worse.
"I'm .. guessing you are?" she asked shyly.

(Smiling when she awnsered me I continued to smile when i heard her question)
"me from hircine? nope, i'm new here too, I just moved here from germany. I was wondering if you were from varron since everyone here already thinks I am and hate me, and from the comment the teacher had given you. It was my mistake miss..?"
(I left the sentence hanging since I did not know here name and at the moment really wanted to know who this girl was)
"ahh but where are my manners, I am Gojyo Koenig. New student to Hircine High, and already hated by many"
(I said with a small smile and a slight bow of my head to show her the proper respect most people deserved when making a first impression)

Taj sat in the back of class as always, when suddenly some new guy waltz in late, interupting class and made his way to the back. Suddenly some of his students began muttering something about this guy being a Varronite. Varronite or not, it's pretty rude to mutter behind someones back. "Hey guys it's quite rude to talk behind someone's back, even if the guy is a varronite, we might as well tell him to his face that we want him to kick rocks..." Taj said in a cool and joking matter. The students chuckled a bit before the english teacher put them in their place. "Allright allright enough batter, back to work now." Taj looked at the new guy without turning his head. His head was down. He started to feel bad, but then realized he was from Varron anyways so it didn't really matter. Taj leaned back in his seat and began doodling tags in his sketchpad. [Boy this is pretty boring, I know all this stuff anyways..] Suddenly another student abruptly interupted class. [Not again...] "Sorry...Very Sorry" Taj didn't even look up to see who the student was until he heard the voice.
He peered over his sketch book and noticed she was quite attractive. He shruged, simply because girls didn't phase him that much.
[Her accent is thick, she must be foreign. I think I should introduce myself to both of them.]
Taj leaned over to the left and whispered to the both of them.
"Hey try not to be late to class next time, otherwise the Teach will have a hissy fit, and we don't want hissy fits happening now do we? By the way my name is Tajie, Tajie Mukuro. My friends call me Taj. Oh yeah, by the way, if you guys are from Varron as far as I'm concerned class is class, but I can't say that I'll show you the same hospitality outside of class. I think we should all have the same shot at education. You can still kick rocks though." He said this with a reassuring smile that he was friendly somewhat.

Dimitri Shirokov, Age 15, Student at Hircine High School in San Francisco, California. He wasn't exactly a noteworthy student, nor was he the type to care about being noteworthy. His grades were decent, for the average portrait of a nerd. And with his glasses, obsession with gaming, and a "Ninja are way cooler than pirates" tee shirt, he was pretty good at fitting that geek motif. His right hand held a pencil, the standard "number 2" used on standardized tests. Wood pulp casing, rubber eraser, it was one of the old-school pencils that got replaced by synthetic polymers around the turn of the century. Using three of his fingers, he was able to effectively twirl it around in one hand without paying much heed to it's ability to revolve or to slip out of his fingers. It was a subconscious action born of his need to always be doing something, and class wasn't cutting it. Class was boring, that boring lecture kind of class that seemed to be voiced by Ben Stein himself. Kids were talking to each other, there were some flirts being tossed about, and it was all boring.
Things began to pixelize themselves in his mind, 8-bit style. Every object had gone flat, and was in either one of three layers. The foreground was the pencil itself, spinning in front of his view. And the background was a few kids, and the blackboard, the writing upon which was illegible due to that pixelization. And the "active" layer was filled with kids just chatting. Text boxes of blue with white borders made themselves pop up just above them, with titles like "Male Student 1". The boxes were popping up and disappearing so fast that they began to overlap and Dimitri no longer cared for what was in those text boxes. To make it worse, his imagination decided to make things more elaborate, as Pac Man himself came into the scene. With the repetitive cry of "Waka waka waka waka waka!", it moved all over the "screen" and started biting off people's heads while a quartet of brightly colored ghosts chased him around.
Yeah, it did look kind of stupid, and it wasn't that amusing. But the thing was; It was more entertaining than class.

Raven blushed as the boy furthered their conversation and she looked at him with her ice blue eyes. He was cute she would admit that but no one tended to like the shy Russian girl only one ever had. And then he left her. She she was still very unused to talking to complete strangers. She blushed a bit when he said he wasn't either but was hated like one and she nodded. Her experiences here had not been pleasureable already and she didn't understand why some people hated every last person from Varron without getting to know them first.
"My name is Raven. It's a pleasure to meet you. You are from Germany? I am originally from Russia." she said softly with a gentle smile as she ducked her head in return of the respect he showed her.
A constant blush seemed to color her pale face a bit. But she said nothing as she tucked her hair behind her ears though it was guaranteed to fall out again. Suddenly a new voice spoke up and her ice blue eyes looked over at the boy that had leaned back to talk to them. He said that he would be nice while in class but if they were from Varron, like Raven was, he wasn't going to extend that courtesy outside of class. Raven's face paled if that was even possible and she went silent. She was trying to open up but he had completely and utterly shut up the little shy girl. She looked down at her spiral and blushed as she let her hair fall forward to hide her face from the two men.
I"m going to die here. What I got at Varron that one time will be nothing compared to now. And I don't have anyone to help me heal and get better this time.
She began to doodle pretending to take notes. She was worried now. She didn't know what to do. Perhaps she should go silent all together and never speak perhaps then they wouldn't notice she was so different.

(When I heard her words I smiled)
"it's a pleasure to meet you raven, Russia it's a beautiful place i've heard."
(I said smiling as I looked at her stunning blue eyes. They seemed so full of innocence yet beauty. As I opened my mouth to speak once again i heard a voice behind us. It was the voice of the boy who had bantered me earlier before raven had come into the class. Not even bothering to look back at the kid I continued to watch raven. Seeing her pale slightly and look almost worried when he said he would not show us the same hospitality he would out of class if we were from varron then he would in class made me smile almost.
I know knew raven was from varron, and I understood why she wouldnt tell me since here a girl like her could get her life ended if he was. Putting my hand on hers to get her eyes to look back up at me I smiled while squeezing her hand reassuringly. i then whispered to her so the boy named taj could not hear)
"do not worry, i'll protect you"
(I then turned my head to this taj student)
"i'm gojyo koenig, and i look forward to the day when you do not show me any hospitality outside of class"
(I said with a smile on my face before turning back to look at raven)

Dimtiri began to whistle the theme from Super Mario Brothers, trying to find some way to entertain himself. Already making himself a distraction, he stood up, still twirling the pencil in his right hand. With a slow, careless walk, he brought his body right up to the blackboard and threw the pencil into the air. It landed in his left hand after a second or two of airtime, and he decided to pick up the chalk with his now emptied hand. As he began to scrawl out something on the board, the teacher caught wind of his actions and wore a look of frustration. He practically stomped over behind Dimitri and put his hands on his hips, as if Dimitri would immediately sense the presence of an impending detention behind him.
Of course, the kid had no clue what-so-ever. With a lack of interest in the class itself, he was far less likely to even care about the teacher's whereabouts. And it seemed that he had forgotten that drawing on the blackboard might just be an offensive action to some, namely the teacher himself. Nobody else really cared. As long as it didn't say "(insert name here) sucks wang!" they didn't care. Some teachers didn't even care, so long as it was non-disruptive. Of course, a scrawling of boxes and odd looping lines was something entirely confusing, but not at all offensive, unless one had a vivid and warped (not to mention disturbed) imagination.
Some things were labeled in some odd language, which looked half-way like English. The Russians would know what it was though, unless they were illiterate in their own language. And anybody with an interest in electronics would have a chance at figuring out what it was, considering it was a schematic for some sort of electrical circuit. It involved a 9-volt battery wired into a series of lights, wired in series or in parallel for some select sections. It wasn't very specific exactly what it was for though.
"Ahem!" Mr. Teacher decided to make his presence known, giving off one of those fake grunts that passed for one clearing their own throat. Dimitri whipped around instantly with a meek smile, laying the stick of chalk in the teacher's outstretched hand and scooting away towards his seat.

Taj took Goyjo's response as a threat, and Taj didn't like threats very much, then again who does?
"Woah woah woah, If that's a threat, I'm not going to back down. Im sure you Varron folks are real, how do you say, "tough guys" but don't think you'll be able to pull that garbage here man. It just won't happen. But like I said we can be friends in class. Education is education, everyone deserves to get one."
He then looked at dimitri or whatever that kid's name was, and got very annoyed.
"This guy has got to be the weirdest nerd I've ever seen. Damn he's a jackass."
Taj turned back to his sketch book and closed it. He should at least pay attention to some part of class, after all you never know you might learn something new. He then took out his english binder and began to copy the notes on the board.
While he was doing such he took a quick glance at Goyjo and Raven
[Boy they seemed to really hit it off]

Raven felt a hand on her gently and she looked over to see Gojyo's hand on hers. Her eyes met his and she blushed softly as he whispered in her ear. Telling her he would protect her. She smiled softly and nodded as he squeezed her hand gently like that. He moved back away from her and her blush got deeper. She tucked her black hair away from her face and went back to doodling not wanting to be all up in their conversation.
But soon the boy took what Gojyo said as a threat and even told him he wouldn't back down. Raven looked over at the both of them. Her eyes meeting each of theirs.
"Please.. is fighting all that people are capable of anymore. What happened to friendship? Trust? I don't understand why it is that so many people are mad at all the new ones in school. It isn't like we had much of a choice to begin with. I .. just want to settle down. Make new friends. And live my life again." she said softly. She turned back to her spiral and wondered just what Mr. Hircine would say about that.

ooc: sorry if i posted wrong man i should of quoted raven or something....
"Please.. is fighting all that people are capable of anymore.
Taj was rather suprised with her weary response.
[Fighting isn't what we're just capable of, but we're just too stupid to talk things out.] (when i put stuff in brackets i mean im speaking ot myself)
"Look it's the middle of class, we can talk about this later, wait no we can't, I'd rather die than be seen with you guys out of class." he chuckled a bit.
"By the way love, if you want to how do you say, "settle down?" your best bet is to transfer schools again, chances are no one is settling down becuase when the shit hits the fan, it hits us all. So your best bet is either to adapt or deal with it."
And with that said Taj went back to his work, copying the notes he missed during the conversation.

"don't worry taj, in here we are school mates, out there we don't even know each other"
(I said with a smile as i turned and looked at taj. i then looked back at raven)
"no I am capable of lots more then just fighting, but in this school where fighting is all these students know towards us new students. Then i suppose I must fight, to protect myself and others"
(I said to raven with a smile before looking back to my notebook and opening it to take some notes)

Etsuo was late for class, a rarity, but not unheard of. It was called into the main office before hand, he was the only one capable of bringing cold medicine home. He had too before half his family were cursing their dog for returning from a neighbors back yard with a cold virus. It gave him time to gauge the school situation in passing before he went to class. Nothing unexpected. Everyone seemed to have hardened, hospitality forgotten instantly to be replaced with weary caution.
Before returning to the school he changed his clothing. There was no doubt that he needed to be in a more comfortable. There was a large chance that he would have to deal with Varron students, or just as likely, Hircine's. What he wore with this in mind was a white pair of loose fitting, kung fu pants, with a eight inch thick red stripe. Mobility in mind, he also wore a simple tight fitting black cotton shirt. Also wearing his specially tailored jacket over this. White with red crossed on the arms, crossing over the back of his shoulders. It's originality rested in the fact it's sleeves looked to have a Chinese history, with split tails shorter than that of a trench coat.
His appearance gained him quite a bit of attention as he stepped into the class, now quite late. Not many Varron students were there, or so he assumed, and only the Hircine that gave him notice were those that did not know him from his previous year. His mixed teal pigmented eyes focused quickly on an open desk near chatting students. It was unwise, but the teacher seemed to have his attention focused elsewhere. As he quietly approached he overheard something he did not appreciate in the least, his eyes focusing instantly on the student he did not recognize. Varron or Hircine, he would not tolerate such an attitude in his presence.
Seating himself, heavily, down behind the raven haired girl to make his presence known before he cut off a sharp remark in the offender, Taj's, direction. "You do not represent Hircine properly." Without looking at him again he slid his legs deeper under his desk, crossing them quietly as a small hint of amusement fell across his cold features. "Capible of more than fighting, you say. I'm fairly sure I heard about you fighting with Darren after attacking a student. Do you deny?"
Not waiting for an answer he turned his attention one last time, while mumbling Anata no ikei wo miru to totemo koufun shimasu.. Teal hues focused on the girl they all seemed to have gathered around, and one seemed fixated upon. "Etsuo. If you wish for peace, mention the name. It should still carry, a bit of weight." The tone of his voice had a chill to it, but was smooth and calming. There was a look of purity within his eyes that few fighters bothered to maintain. Honor.

Did he just .. call me love?
Raven had no idea why in the world someone would call someone they just met that. She had only ever called one person in her life that. And then it was a special circumstance. She blushed a deep red as he began to 'explain' things to her and she nodded softly. She hated to admit it but he was right. He was right that there wasn't much she could do because the people from Varron and the people from Hircine were just not getting along at all.
"We aren't all of the same lot." she said softly as she returned to her work.
She hated it here. Tears stung her blue eyes she didn't even see Gojyo look at her again. She began to just draw on her spiral not really knowing what else to do. She was only half listening the teacher was talking much too fast for her to understand it all but that was allright she would make do. Read the chapter at home and get the general grasp from there instead of from some teacher that didn't like her either. She sighed softly and let her black hair fall like a curtain between her and the other boys as she put her hand in her hair supporting her head as she just doodled on her page. Writing various things in Russian on her paper and generally just trying to make it through the day so she could go home and be lonely.
Thing was it was lonely no matter where she was. Back in Varron at school she had friends and she had a boyfriend. Now she had neither and she had no one to share her home or her cooking with. And so she had to start from scratch again. She didn't say anything else for now she knew no matter what she said it wasn't going to matter. It would be thrown back in her face regardless. Maybe going silent wasn't such a bad idea after all. Then a new boy entered the room and she didn't bother to look up or acknowledge him until he spoke to the boy known as Taj. Suddenly then he spoke to her and she turned around looking at him with those blue eyes that most men seemed to enjoy.
"Thank you. Raven, is my name." she said softly extending her hand in that crazed American fashion.

Taj chuckled a bit.
"You know in an alternate dimension you may have been considered a friend, maybe even an aqquaintance but unfortunately for us your from Varron." he sucked his teeth.
He diverted his direction toward Etsuo,
"As for you, I don't know where you coming across coming to class late and then insulting me, obviously not knowing who I am, which of course I'll let slide since I'm such a nice guy, but who the hell do you think you are saying I don't represent Hircine. Do you think you do simply because you have an holier-than-thou complex? Jeez you must really be out there my friend, regardless I never fought Darren, I respect the man too much." And with that Taj glared at Etsuo hard with intent to burn holes through his face....if only he had laser eyes..

"Neboken nayo. I was not refering to you and Darren, I spoke that to the other." The words came smoothly, if he was not in the presence of Raven he would have spoken the translation. But the next he would. "Sonna koto shitta koto ja nai. I don't give a damn who you are. You do not represent Hircine." The harsh cold of his voice stayed consistent until he leaned forward. From the white sleeve slid a strong looking hand, which grasped loosely to Raven's hand. "Forgive me. I did not wish to speak harshly, infront of you."
"Forgive me. I did not wish to speak harshly, in front of you." Etsuo once again had a smooth tone. Holding her hand for but a moment he slowly slid his hand away, his fingertips brushing against her clear white skin before the hand disappeared into his jacket. Knowing that Taj would wish to continue their little spat he simply shut him out of his awareness. Even if he was a freshman as he suspected, Taj had already admitted his knowledge of Darren. There was only a minuscule chance he would take the opportunity to strike at the unprepared Etsuo.

Taj smiled out of frustration.
"You know Etsuo your actually right. I was foolish to act like that. I guess the way I acted didn't represent Hircine high, but it's not like you can blame me. It's obvious that Varron Academy isn't wanted here, you would be foolish to think that we can live in harmony. With people like Ein Gilsin, leader of the infamous Genaht here, there's no way we can maintain without a fight. I guess that we are all just on edge." Tajie shurgged a bit. ashamed of his foolishness.
"Regardless of me acting a bit rude at the same time Etsuo you might not want to be too close to Varronites, otherwise you'll be classifed as a benedict and then, then there is no hope for you.

(Watching this new boys appearance I said nothing except look somewhat down and away from raven. Then hearing this student refer to me I looked up at him with a blank expression.)
"I do not deny it, but these students I attacked, egged me on and for that I do not regret my actions. And yes I did fight darren, and unfortunatly a student stepped in the way before we could really fight"
(I said keeping my eyes on this new student. I wondered how he knew who i was, I was almost certain there were very little people watching our little spat earlier today. Turning to raven I smiled slightly, I then whispered to raven)
"I will see you later hun"
(With that I stood up from my desk and glared at this other student, I then turned back to taj and nodded my head slightly)
"dunt worry I will protect you"
(I said to raven with a friendly wink before beginning to walk down the aisle of the desks)
