OOC: Please do not enter this thread and make an escape with a single post.
The gym was awfully quiet. The chatter was low, not filled with the obnoxious air of a group of Hircine students that had often conversed in the corner with their loud and annoying voices and laughs. Kit could even hear the thump of his adidas sneakers upon the wooden floor with every step he made. The few students in the gym stared at him, turning away when they realized he was not the teacher. The door slammed shut behind Kit as he approached his attendance spot on the floor.
Kit would soon get up from the floor as the P.A. soon announced that their gym teacher was sick and that they were to use the period for study.
"Ha, study, I'm out of this dump," a student said as he tried to exit the room. However, it appeared that the door was locked. The student rammed into the door only to fall down in pain as he was unsucessful in his attempt to open it. Laughs echoed in the hallway outside of the gym.
"Have fun studying in the gym, and don't expect anybody to come looking for you, we're going to lock the doors in the main entrance," said a voice similiar to one of the ones laughing just a second ago. It was the group of Hircine students who usually were the ones making the most noise and pestering Varron transfers in the class. This time, they didn't care that there were Hircine students in the gym as well.
Reaching for his cellphone, Kit realized that it was not there. Everyone was in their gym shorts and they were locked in. Walking over to the door, Kit peered through the tiny rectangle. The Hircine students had barricaded the door with what appeared to be a metal closet when peering through the small glass window in the gym door. It often gave a distorted image due to the waviness of the glass. It seemed the only method of exit would be through the windows in the gym that were located along the walls. This in turn proved to be a problem as the windows were atleast ten feet high. Not to mention, how would one go about falling ten feet or so after climbing up to the window? The floor around the gym building was cement and a spiky gate was dangerously close by.
"Anybody have any ideas?" Kit said, as he looked around the gym at the students and for things they could use in their escape.

" Great, just what we all need some hard nut punks that thinking they can piss on everyone else."
" Bet they think they're clever." He said his sarcastic voice ring out, reverberating off all the walls. It had the effect of silencing everyone in room. Strangely everyone seemed had huddle near the door even though at this moment in time there was definetley no way out from there.
Inwardly he sighed.
He found the antics of the group who had locked them in mildly annoying if nothing else, but that didn't stop him hating that group with a passion ever since he join the school. The ones that think they're better than the rest.
Travis was lent against the cold floor chills running along the length of his back with his feet resting up against a nearby wall. He was in one of those moods where he wouldn't let anything get to him, there was no point. He just stared stright up admiring the ceiling somewhat, even though some of the air vents did partially block of hsi view of the wood work, this was while absentmindedly pulling at the Velcro of his black sports gloves.
" We could use the climbing ropes to get out." He pointed at the ropes the that were hung from the ceiling and were tide against the wall.
"Great we'll use those," said one kid said his voice chirping up. He was the kind of kid that liked leading , taking charge and being a risk taker.
"Ah if only it was so easy," Travis smiled. He did a slightly undignified backward roll and got to his feet. His hand grasped the nearest rope within reaching distance and gave a sharp tug. The rope fell straight from bracket that held it to the ceiling on to the floor, hitting with a loud and heavy sounding thud at Travis's feet. "See what i mean"as the rope finished coiling up at his feet. He gave it a little kick just so he didn't trip over it.
"And yeah before you say it," he could see the boy about to open his mouth to argue "the rest are exactly the same."
" So really.... there was no point in you say that alll." The angry reallisation that everything that had been said was pointless.
" Not really, I was starting the creative ball rolling. There is point wasting breath after all. "
"Our best bet is to look in the sports cupboard. Somehow i don't think not having a key will stop us," He point to the Grey double doors to the other side of the room which held all manor of sport equipment on the other side.

Kit stood there, watching and listening in on the conversation between the two students near him. One suggested using the climbing ropes only to pull it down and show that it was not stable. The other got angry, asking why he even suggested it if he knew it would fall down like so. It was alright though, this mean they had rope to use. Now they just needed some weight to tie to one end of the rope, or a hook or something so they could become like ninjas on television. The gym however, was completely empty. There were no bleachers or any objects for that matter on the wooden surface of the gym. The basketball ball hoops were pulled up, and was something they could use for their escape later on. The only heavy ish sort of weight Kit could think of was a shoe or something.
"Well, I don't have a key or know how to pick locks. Nor do I have a paperclip that could be bent into a tool for picking locks. Anybody here even know how to pick a lock?"
It seemed that the sports equipment room was their only hope at finding useful resources to be used in their escape. Otherwise, they would have to wait here for a long time to be discovered.

" I hadn't really thought about that, nice one." He turned his attention away from the kid that was angrily glowering at the back of his afro head to the new speaker. "I was just thinking of kicking in the door with brute force," he shrugged in a very general way as if kicking in doors was something he did on a daily basis. Infarct that couldn't be further from the truth he had only done it once before and even the it was by accident. "But your way is by far the easier way to open it. I know can't and you can't but can anyone else in here pick locks?"
"Anyone?" His green eyes scanned the faces of the others in the room. All of them were cold, emotionless and barren. From their faces he could tell about half of the guys in there were really not fussed if they got out or not, the others well the "Anyone ? no ? Ok then."
He began walking towards the door his trainers traveling across the floor with a new sense of purpose. He hoping that the only other guy with ideas would follow. He didn't know if they'd be able to brake open the door. He still formulating a plan in his head and it had to be said there were lots of fuzzy grey areas in it and lots of ifs and buts. The only way he'd know if they'd be able to do it or not was when he got close and inspected the door.
"I guess its brute forces then. I'm Travis, since we'll be working together on this we may aswell know each others names right?"

"My name is Kit. Nice to meet you."
Going up to inspect the door, Kit gave a smirk as the information from the book he had read at a bookstore was actually useful. The book was placed in the humor section, and ridiculously enough, had information that Kit could apply to the current predicament. The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook. Filled with random know how from experts in a certain field, what to do given such a scenario. And luckily enough, one of the sections covered how to break down a door.
Tapping the door, Kit first discovered that the door was actually quite a thin and probably flimsy piece of metal. The next step was kicking the door. Yes kicking. Unlike common belief that ramming a door has stronger effect in breaking down a door, Kit was going to kick the door straight at the locking mechanism that held the door in it's current locked position. With one well placed kick, Kit had bent the door a bit, and one could hear the metal that stopped the door from being opened fall down on the floor. As he pulled the doors opened, he looked around at the materials.
There were jumping ropes, soccer balls, basketballs, a few light dumbbells probably 5lbs. from the look of their exterior, a few bats, hoola hoops, and a bunch of baseballs. Kit gave a look at Travis and said, "You have a plan? Because I already formulated one with the items right here."

" Nice to meet you to Kit ."
Much to Travis's delight the doors were only made out of flimsy metal ' Lets hear it for school spending,' he thought smirking.' Can't even afford proper doors,' not that he was complaining of course, it was thanks to that one simple yet golden fact that they would probably get out of here. Ooh we're spoiled for choice here kit," he said rubbing his is hands together in sarcastic glee when kit pulled open the doors. He was hoping for something, well better than what they discovered, even though he himself wasn't exactly sure what better was. He guess that he was just hoping for something like a fire door or maybe a small window that he and Kit would be able to climb out of easily. No mess, no fuss. But seeing as there was no opening at all in the mixture of bricks, mortar and cement this dream had not become reality.
Kit's look gave him hope because he was wearing an expression of one that disappointed by what they had found. "You have a plan? with this?" He scanned the sports equipment that had been sort in and sort of chaotic order that just so epitomized the very nature of the teacher that was meant to be there. He couldn't think of anything to do with any of it." If you've managed to make a plan out of this then I'm all ears 'cos I've got nothing,"
He walked over to the weights and easily picked one up tossing it between his hands. "So what do we need to get out of this place? You can explain your grand plan to me while we carry."

It didn't seem like Travis read enough books to know what Kit had in his mind. "This is my plan," Kit said to the rest of the class. "I believe we can escape by tying a baseball bat to the rope here," he said as he pointed to the climbing ropes that were previously on the ceiling. "We can tie two of these climbing ropes together to make it longer, then chuck the baseball bat like a javelin through the support that is holding up the basketball hoops that are hanging in the ceiling. Finally, we finish by tying the other end of the rope back onto the baseball bat that comes down, so we have a sturdy climbing rope that leads up to the height of where the windows are. Here, I'll show you all."
As the class stared at him, Kit tied a strong knot on the two ropes, and then securing it to a baseball bat. He handed it to someone who claimed they were very accurate in throwing as he pulled down three more ropes to tie to each other. As she tossed the baseball bat through the structure that held the basketball hoops lifted into the ceiling, the baseball bat came falling down and Kit caught it, tying the other end of the rope to it. Pulling on it to make sure it was secured, Kit then climbed up the rope with a bundle of three ropes that he had tied together. Reaching the top of the metal girder, he spoke again to the class.
"Ok here is the next part of the plan. I am going to tie the rope I am holding onto this girder, then jump over to the window, and toss the rope out the window. Next, I will slide down the rope using my shirt so I do not get rope burn, and then secure the rope to the fence outside. This way, you can slide tilted instead of straight down and reduce the effects of rope burn on my shirt. I will be sure to tie the rope so that you avoid the spikes of the fence when sliding down. When I see you at the window, I will toss my shirt up to you if you are a girl so you may slide down. If you are a guy, just your own damn shirt. And for those of you that cannot climb the rope, I will go around and push the objects blocking the way so that you can just leave through the door."
Doing as he stated, Kit got right to work, glad that there was a ledge by the window. He took off his shirt, not embarassed as he had an eight pack, and slid straight down the rope with his shirt wrapped around it. Securing it to the low horizontal bar in the fence, he gave a shout that signaled them to begin leaving. When the whole process was done, Kit would have to purchase a new shirt, as there were quite a few girls in the class.

(occ:sorry not my best piece of writing)
Travis watched, following Kits plan in his own head. It was simple and they would be able get out, well most people would be able to get out unless they were one of those with an almost irrational fear of heights under 1 story high.
He scanned the room as kit climbed. The everyone elses face was all glued on him, probably expect something bad to happen. It always did in this school but no not this time.
" Right any of the girls which are particularly incline to climb up go now, i guess if not then sit tight and we'll come back for you." Once you go up there there's turning back, don't worry though you'll be fine." Reassuring people really wasn't something Travis did often and so when he said it he just felt really awkward and he had the opposite effect. Once confident faces showed small cracks.
Around half the girls got up but seeing some of their friends still sitting down they also sat back down. That left about 1/4 still climbing. Travis should have resigned himself to the fact that the guys would be here for a while. The girls that did climb seemed to took an age, some stopping every few seconds to hear worlds in encouragement from their friends below. Eventually the last girl slid down and out of sight of the guys. Chaos pretty much ensued as every guy in the room rushed to the rope trying to first out. Travis wasn't in particular hurry but on the other had he wasn't about to wait for ever. Some how he managed to be the first one up and out of the gym.
" We better get the go move that move the closet. Then" he then clicked one his hands a finger at a time. " I'm gunna' go exchange pleasantries with those who thought this was funny idea," he grin maliciously.

OOC: Going to wrap it up here for my character.
When everyone who was strong enough to climb out got out of the gym, Kit slipped back on his burnt out shirt. Luckily it wasn't anything he liked, afterall, it was his gym shirt that would absorb his sweat. Walking around, Kit got to the main entrance with whoever was left that wanted to help move the junk blocking the door. He stopped in his tracks, realizing that the door was locked. The boys had stated that they would lock the main entrance. Another boy in the class struggled to pull open the door to no avail, proving that the boys were right and Kit's recollection was correct. This door was reinforced with metal, so Kit would have to expend a lot more energy towards kicking it open if he wanted to open it. However, there was no need for this. The students trapped inside were obviously not in a rush if they did not even put the effort into trying to climb the rope.
"I guess I'll get the janitor," Kit said to the group with him. He then looked at his watch, noting that it was almost time to head to his next class. Luckily he didn't need any of the things that he had placed in the gym locker for that class so he would not have to wait for the janitor to open the door. Kit walked towards the school building as he waved a see you again at gym class next time. He would have to tell the janitor to remove the metal that was blocking the door as well.
