*It is troublesome but, I always did follow my father's wishes. My foot sank into the large heavy bag. Reviewing the basics through a simple roundhouse kick. My body weight was thrown around as I pivoted on one foot. My other leg was lifted into the air as I twist my body around, finally extending my leg causing the ball of my foot to connect with the bag. The motion was repeated over and over, switching sides periodically as I focused on the technique. As my body re memorized the motion, more power was applied causing my foot to sink deeper into the bag. The chains holding the bag rattled as I began to kick faster while holding the same technique and power as before.
Technique, power, speed; that was all that made up the move itself. How to use the move correctly and to it's full advantage, well...that could not be so easily trained on a motionless bag hung on chains. That did not matter, this was just to pass the time. I was not fond of sports so one had to do something to maintain the body.
I did simple things like this back in Varron as well. Seems I am back to doing what I used to do. Minding my own business, training, and going to the library. Full circle, seems to be something I am good at making. Though this school seems more...successful in controlling order as opposed to Varron. It is not a full circle. I know more than I did before. I have changed or at least I think I have. If chaos comes again, I will act. I know Kokaku would act and I have no intention of seeing him walk about with bullet wounds again.
My foot sank into the bag once more but remained in contact as I held the kick there. Several strands of my long hair were stuck to the sweat on my face. I kept control of my breathing as I retracted my kick and stood there, staring at the bag. I sigh softly. I am not needed for now. Hopefully, former Varron students will be accepted to this school. For now, the pillars think they have things under control and for now I shall believe that. I pull out a hair tie and tie my hair back. There was still time in the period as my foot returned to making impacts on the bag.*

’Tristram Moon, a peaceful student and most commonly seen in the presence of the so called ‘good guys’ of Varron. It seems that lately, he’s been hanging around with Kokaku Musha, one of Loire’s most trustful followers… or friend… whatever they like to call it. I never really paid too much attention to this student but it seems he has achieved several things in the past… on a level of fighting I have not seen him perform yet… perhaps he has forgotten how to fight properly… but I heard he even defeated Maverik during a tournament fight. Although tournament fights don’t say too much, it still is a noteworthy achievement… Maverik is supposed to be a fighter whose power equals Kazuki’s… which could mean this boy might be able to do the same?’
’However, seeing him practicing the basic techniques here might prove he truly grew tired of fighting… He’s not like the ones he hangs out with for all I can tell… this one truly is an interesting fellow…’
Shuya had been leaning against the doorpost while he kept his eyes focused upon the young student’s back. Leaf was far too busy with his training to actually notice the fact that he was being watched. The student seemed to care not about exposing his back, it seemed he feared nothing… or was he just stupid enough to actually think no one would attack him without any reason to do so… He was considered a ‘Varronian’, whatever that meant… The two opposite sides at Varron, The Hand, Legion, and all that stood in-between, Genäht, the Knights… they were just all piled up into one big mass… the biggest mistake this school could’ve made… back in his first days here, Shuya had immediately noticed that the strength that came from the pillars and captain relied not only on themselves but on their students as well… they could’ve easily teamed up with Leon and his friends, creating a powerful defense against anyone who tried to break the laws… but instead, they now created a large threat for themselves…
“Arrogant fools” Shuya whispered, before he slowly started to walk towards Tristram, or Leaf as people used to call him. Shuya however discarded nicknames immediately, addressing a person by his last name rather than his first or a nick. With his slick voice he finally addressed Leaf, who still hadn’t noticed him unless he had heard the soft footsteps of Shuya.
“Training for a particular reason, mister Moon?”

*Over and over, my foot sank into the bag. Finally, I held my kick once more. Not from my own thoughts but someone addressing me. My eyes remained gazing at the bag, my foot still held against it. The voice was no one I recognize yet he seemed to at least know my name and even addressed me by my last. Not often I am approached, much less from behind. This one more than likely knows I am a fighter or at least I was one. But, that matters little, majority of those who transferred here have some sort of fighting ability.*
"Not often I am approached from behind," I said simply as I retracted my leg, slowly turning around to face this senior, "One must do something to maintain the body, I have no interest in sport. Seems I am at a disadvantage..."
*I did not recognize the face. Either this is an extremely resourceful Hircine student or this one was a student of Varron at one time or another. Looked to be a senior in any case. What does he want? Not often students approach me for a friendly chat though with a new school who knows. I let my arms hang to my sides as I gazed at the senior student.*
"Here to train or to watch, Mister...." I left it at that as I did not know this one's name.

“Katsumoto…” Shuya replied, filling in Leaf’s open sentence. His face was blanc yet his fists were itching, wanting to actually test this one out personally, yet on a neutral. However, Shuya knew that Leaf wasn’t exactly the warrior type, perhaps he would decline a direct challenge. Waging his options, Shuya’s eyes slowly went from Leaf to his punching bag and back to Leaf.
“Well, I was actually just hanging around, trying to see if any of the old guard still roamed about, yet it led me here… what a coincidence…”
Shuya’s words about old guard would probably make no sense to Leaf at all but Shuya had always been fond about giving either confusing, avoiding or totally irrelevant answers to direct questions.
“Now that I’m here however, I see no problem in training… watching how another male character is sweating while punching a bag isn’t exactly my idea of something fun to watch… and I doubt it’s yours either…”
Shuya closed the distance between him and Leaf and slowly turned towards the punching bag Leaf had been kicking at. Giving it a few soft taps with his knuckles, Shuya chuckled slightly. In his eyes it was purely idiotic to train against an immobile object while there was an actual fight worthy opponent in the same area.
“They’re a bit stiff… I prefer to train on or against something more lively if you get my drift…”

*His answer did not really answer anything. Perhaps due to ignorance but, I saw no need to ask further just as Katsumoto had no interest in explaining himself. I can come up with my own theories of what he meant by old guard or try to figure out if has anything to do with me but I saw no need in that as well. I had an idea what he was looking for. Call it a hunch or a feeling but, doubt it had anything to do with the bag. Perhaps this meeting was on purpose or he was speaking the truth and it was a coincidence.*
"Would you rather the bag be sweating?" I asked as he closed the distance.
*I did not move away as he moved in to tap the bag. Seems I was correct and he wishes a fight. At least he is considerate enough to ask in a way. Why fight me though? Or perhaps I just happened to be around when this one found an urge to fight. I sigh softly, better me than someone else I suppose. Perhaps the day will end faster.*
"Fine," I began simply, "As you are well aware, there are rules against fighting on school grounds. But as I am sure this school has a wrestling team and so forth, perhaps...sparring is fine. Though I more than likely will bore you as I am not much of an opponent."
*Fight so others do not have to. Makes sense in my head or perhaps I was looking for an excuse. If so, then I suppose Varron has changed me from what I was or tried to be. I make no move to get into a stance or make an attack. I simply wait to see if my answer was satisfactory for him.*

Shuya chuckled slightly as Leaf made a smart remark about a sweating punch bag, but he paid no real heed to it apart from the chuckle. As Leaf accepted his challenge, he smirked widely and at the same time shook his head. Leaf was actually presuming there was more to this than just a coincidence. It mattered not.
“Oh I know about the rules already… but don’t you worry, mister Moon, I will assure you that no Hircine student will do anything to prevent us two from sparring… And I doubt you will be a pushover… after all, your victory on Maverik… is legendary…”
He emphasized the words Maverik and legendary with a large smile on his face, bowing to Leaf as he spoke the word legendary. After that, he moved back a few feet, far enough for the two to actually have a gap in-between them. Shuya slowly bent his knees as he moved his hands up slightly. His eyes scanning Leaf, who was still standing there, straight up, seemingly at ease and relaxed. But, would he in fact feel that way, or was he just covering up the fact that he was actually getting involved into something… he rather avoided?
“Mister Moon, the honor of starting this little spectacle is all yours…”

*It was not much of a victory to me. Maverik came to the fight after going blow to blow with Wolf and I was left with the pieces. Despite the cracked ribs, he fought me anyways and I finished the job, breaking his ribs. I am sure if he was healthy, things would have been different.
A sigh escapes me as I shift into a simple fighting stance. Seems I am to start first, how bothersome. I regarded Shuya calmly as I waited. Most spend this time to read their opponent for strengths and so forth. Well, I can figure that out when the fight starts. I just did not feel like starting yet.
I took a quick step forward with my right foot to put myself in range. I turn my body to right as I pivoted on that same foot. Here goes nothing I suppose. My left foot left the ground as I twisted, sending a roundhouse kick towards Shuya's mid section. I am sure this one was not a pushover either, a wide attack like this will be seen but that's fine. The attack will still have speed and momentum behind it and targeting the mid section will make more difficult to duck under. This attack will help set others but I am not going to plan too far ahead until I see how this one reacts.*

The fact that Leaf did no longer respond to Shuya’s words made Shuya admire him slightly, he knew Leaf was either concentrating on their spar that had to start or was in fact trying to figure things out about Shuya. It mattered not to Shuya however, he would make Leaf understand that their spar was not going to be some simple punch and kicks over and over… If Leaf knew what he was up to, he would start with a powerful offense… yet he didn’t…
Shuya’s eyes followed the pattern of Leaf’s moves, his right foot becoming the center of his body as he removed his left one from the ground and spun it into a roundhouse kick towards Shuya. Shuya had several inches on his opponent so anticipating on where the kick would land was not too difficult. Yet, he wanted Leaf to understand that this spar would become more than he had thought so… he would play with his opponent until his opponent would finally strike back hard… Shuya pushed pressure on his left foot and quickly moved his bent right arm towards Leaf’s left ankle before the kick was too close, blocking the attack fully. The impact of the kick was swift but weak. That added to Shuya’s pressure on his left foot allowed him to keep his body almost on the exact same place without becoming too unstable.
“Try harder Tristram!” Shuya yelled at Leaf while forcefully pushing away his opponents leg with his right hand, hopefully making Leaf unstable in the process. However, he wanted Leaf to get the message right this time. Immediately after he pushed Leaf’s leg away, he dashed forwards with his left foot, pulling his left fist back quickly and striking it forwards towards Leaf’s nose. The fact that Leaf had already closed the gap between them would give Shuya the perfect opportunity for a quick counter punch, without Leaf being able to do too much about it.
Smirking as he threw his fist at Leaf, Shuya kept his right arm bent again, hand palm opened, in order to be able to quickly stop any incoming attacks from that side. His following moves would depend on how Leaf would react to the quick counter strike…

*The lack of power and force to my kick only made it easier to retract and control. My leg quickly snapped back after making brief contact with Shuya's arm. I held the bent leg close to me. Despite the quick recovery, I still had little time to act. My left leg extended out again as a side kick aimed for Shuya's lower ribs. With Shuya already closing in to throw a punch, he will run into my kick. This kick used more of my own power rather than momentum and will either push Shuya away or push me out of range of his punch.
Try harder he says...a false sense of security requires less effort to take advantage of, a weak attack to draw him into a stronger one that had a higher chance to connect. I know this one wants to draw more out from me but this fight had no meaning. I will continue to read this one for now and see how much it really takes to impress him.*

’Bold move… but expected nonetheless…’
Shuya knew that if Leaf would be quick enough with retracting his leg and striking it towards him once more, he would either have to cancel his attack and block or keep his strike going and take the hit while hoping his strike would collide with a weak spot. However, he knew a direct hit to his midsection could damage him more than his attack could, unless it would hit it’s intended target, Leaf’s nose. Yet, it was too early in this spar for wounds… on his side at least.
Swiftly pushing his right arm up again to block against Leaf’s feet once more, Shuya pulled his left fist back. However, instead of finding a good balance to keep his ground once more, he moved his right foot up slightly and waited for the impact of Leaf’s kick to take affect. As soon as Leaf’s foot collided with Shuya’s arm, Shuya was launched to his left slightly, yet he crossed his left leg with his right due to his right foot being in the air slightly during the impact of the kick. Turning on his now stationed right heel, Shuya moved around Leaf’s right side with a small spin and threw his left fist at the back of Leaf’s head. Leaf’s kick had actually given him the speed to spin around Leaf’s body before his opponent could react.

OOC: I apologize for the late reply, it's been a long week at work.
*My opponent was attempting to get around me while at the same time minimizing the impact of my kick. With my roundhouse kick causing me to pivot and twist my left side of my body to the front, my torso was now facing to the right or Shuya's left. As he shrugged off my sidekick and began circling around my right side, I had full view of Shuya as he circled around me to strike from behind. My left foot hit the ground as I let my right continue to pivot around, easily twisting my body enough to see Shuya's punch. I raise my right arm, letting my right wrist collide with Shuya's wrist to deflect the blow from my head. I continued to turn my upper body to face Shuya fully while sending a punch with my left arm towards Shuya's solar plexus.
He did have speed but circling around takes more time when all I had to do was continue turning my body the direction it was already going from my first two attacks. Just as he used my kick to add to his speed, I was using his positioning to help me build my own speed and momentum to my own counterattack.*

The moment Shuya felt his fist being deflected and Leaf’s body turning towards him, he knew Leaf kept a small gap open. His opponent expected his speed to be superior, ensuring that his punch would hit target, but Shuya’s flexibility would prove useful at times like these. Before Leaf’s strike had hit it’s target, Shuya spread his legs, lowering his body fully, ducking underneath Leaf’s punch. Due to his own turning, Leaf would be unable to kick directly at Shuya either, since he would either require too much time to pull back his leg before throwing a powerful kick or would only be able to manage a small knock. At the time Leaf’s punch tickled Shuya’s hair, Shuya smashed his right fist harshly into Leaf’s gut with enough power to unstable his opponent. The turn and the strike at the same time would be difficult to manage for any fighter. Even if Leaf was able to somehow block to attack, the strike was powerful enough to at least make him stumble backwards. If however the strike connected with it’s intended target, Leaf would finally be slightly damaged… That would be a good test on how well he could take blows…
Immediately getting back into position and moving several steps back, ensuring at least some gap between the two, Shuya finally spoke again
“Enjoying our little dance, Moon? Come on… I know you have more anger inside you than you’re currently showing… And more intelligence… you know very well that this isn’t just some spar… right?”
It was a test…

*Now he is going to far lengths to avoid my strikes. To duck under a punch that is to the solar plexus that quickly, he is rather flexible. It was a poor stance to be in but it mattered little to me. As my punch brushes over Shuya, I simply tightened my stomach as the counter came at me. The punch had sting but it was nothing special, rather decent though from the way he was standing. I let out a short breath as I push off my legs, letting the blow push me away. I hopped back, letting my arms hang loosely down my sides as Shuya put some distance between us.
I remain in my casual fighting stance as my opponent began to taunt me, wishing to see my hatred. It did not matter to me what he wanted but his second statement answered some suspicions. Whether it was coincidence or not, this senior wanted more out of this than a warm up. I sigh softly.*
"Seems I am not allowed to have a simple sparring match," I began softly, "But, that changes nothing. I am simply doing this to pass the time of the period. I see no reason to be angry of a simple blow or your intentions."
*My arms sway slowly infront of me as I watched Shuya. Will this one continue and try to push me to my limit or will he leave for someone easier to goad on?*

Shuya nodded once, fast yet recognizable by Leaf. It seemed that this student was one of the few who actually seemed to have his mind off fighting… that was a starter. Perhaps he would actually proof to be one of the few who actually thought for themselves, rather than follow blindly. Though perhaps he was wrong, after all, this one was involved with Kokaku pretty deep, linked with Leon by that connection. Not very many followers of those actually had a mind of their own…
Yet, it seemed that this test would be coming to a closer end than Shuya had hoped for. Leaf had simply taken the impact of the blow ensuring there would actually get a distance between them. Fighting him would not lead to more answers, only more questions. It seemed that this sheltered person was more complex than Shuya had thought in the first place… questionable why he wasn’t contacted by any of the leading students yet. They seemed to have their files ready on any student so this one must’ve sparked their curiosity… it had with Shuya in any case…
“You’re allowed to have one Moon, but it wasn’t your decision to start one in the first place… However, calling me just something to pass time with… is quite rude… You’re hurting my feelings… But touché, why would you be angry at me? For starters, you’re not close to Karyuudo… second, you’re not a Hircine student who follows orders blindly… and apparently thirdly, Musha hasn’t told you about me… Which makes me wonder… is he being true to you… or is he actually hiding things from you?”
His final words weren’t directed at Leaf, more questioning out loud… yet of course, loud enough for Leaf to actually catch these words. Smirking slightly, Shuya slowly turned around and started to move away from the young student.
“You know, Tristram, I can understand it if you have no anger at all… my what I can’t seem to understand is how you suppress your curiosity, your interest in finding out just who the hell I am, walking in all cocky and starting a fight… is it because you truly do not care? Or are you in fact far too experienced to be bothered by wonders like this?”

"Interest in a cocky student looking for a fight?" I asked, "If I was so easily caught in such things, I would never have been able to get to my next class Varron. But, since you are making moves to leave, are you hoping I'll ask... Why you decided to pick a fight with me? Whatever the reason, seems you had enough and grow tired of me. As for bringing Kokaku into this, he has no reason to tell me anything. If he has had his encounters with you, that is his business."
*I walk over to my things, grabbing my water. He is correct, I do not follow blindly. Here is no different, I have no information besides him wishing to find out things about me. There is nothing to find out and perhaps he sees that. I am nothing special, just another student. There were matters I involved myself but it is irrelevant now. This is a new school and a new start. Hopefully the end will be better.*
