History: His family descends from Chinese Railroad workers in the mid 1800s. Tiao Lei Shun's great grandfather had been worked to death on the railroads. To Tiao's grandfather, this meant that the man had been to afraid to stand up to his slave driver and was merely weak.
This thought was passed down to Tiao's father, and finally onto Tiao Lei Shun himself. The second Tiao could walk, Tiao could kick. As soon as he could kick, Tiao would have to hold horse stance for an hour. Once this was accomplished Tiao's father only began to really push him. Tiao begun extensive conditioning of his limbs under the direction of his father. His family would never be weak again, that would be for certain.
As Tiao grew in age and grade he would be the center of his gradeschool classmates. He had remarkable charisma and not only was he the first pick of games at recess, he was usually the captain.
A few more years of training with Dad and San Fransisco schooling, Tiao Lei Shun began Hircine Middle School. The gears in his mind beginning to turn, Tiao began to study in large amounts to insure no one would be able to take advantage of him in mind or body. He began to take up skating which eventually led him to surfing. Things began to get darker however when he had gotten into highschool.
Now in Hircine High School being older or younger than other classmates didn't matter. You simply had to be better than everyone else.
Something Tiao didn't hesitate to do for a second.
Tiao Lei Shen was determined to prove his dominance in the school, and he would do so by beating every other challenge to a bloody pulp. By the end of his freshman year, his names was known throughout the school. He was said to be just as good as the School Captain Jordan Nash, if not better.
Sophomore year came around and Tiao intended to show everyone that he was better than Jordan. However, before he got a chance the former school captain was taken down by another student of the same age, but of a higher grade. This student was Darren Blayne, the new and current School Captain of Hircine High School.
Infuriated that he was not the one to take Jordan off the high horse, Tiao went after Darren intent on proving himself the best of the best. After school one day, Tiao approached Darren in the parking lot, openly challenging him, and finally attacking as soon as a crowd had formed.
They fought for a good while, Darren not doing anything overly damaging, but Tiao also unable to find an opening to strike. After what seemed like an eternity, Darren dropped his guard and Tiao went in eagerly. His overconfidence was obvious to Darren, and he was met with a hard kick that sent him into a car and denting it. A bloody and broken Tiao looked up from the pavement at the towering figure of Darren who spoke to him.
"You fight well, but your ideals prove you to be worthless. As you are now, shall never amount to anything other than the typical street punk."
Tiao Lei Shen contemplated these words, until finally understanding that there was someone he wished to follow. He may be fearful of his father, but for Darren, there is respect. Tiao was accepted as the right hand man of Darren as a pillar, and he takes great heed in anything his friend tells him.
It is now Junior year for this fighter and Darren has to share a messenge with the new transfer students.
Tiao Lei Shen looks forward to being the messenger.
Fighting Style: Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. Tiao has worked proficiently in several forms, his most common used being the Tiger, Crane and Snake animal forms.
The tiger claw is often used in striking with his palm or grasping/tearing at a limb. The Crane hand formation is used to hit certain parts of the body as well as giving him the elegant grace of the crane to match the strength and speed of the tiger. The snake brings a flowing motion to his movements, and pinpoint accuracy to the pressure points. In addition to these, Tiao has been trained in Kempo and Wushu, giving him hard punches and quick kicks.
Strengths: His body is conditioned to an unbelievable point, his hands able to retain grips on much, much larger men than he. He is incredibly fast and almost always accurate, giving him all the power he needs to take down anyone else, regardless of his lack of mass.
Weaknesses: By relying on speed and technique, if he is caught in a game of sheer brute force of someone larger he would likely lose. He lacks the dexterity of many other fighters. In addition, due to the conditioning in his limbs (hands in particular) his joints often become sore and stiff making joint locks and holds more painful than most.
